"Hmph." Ari looked around the infirmary as Dr. Ganymede wiped the blood off his skin. He was kind of glad that the doctor remained good-humored about him going and wrecking her previous work - he had been a little nervous that she would chew him out or lecture him or something. And a tour? Huh, he'd figured Ria would've gone and scoured the entire school for secrets by now. "No interest, huh? Well, it is a place where injury and sickness remain ever present. Unless you got something real exciting tucked away in the corner?"

[ join the candy hunt ]
Stile's eyes went a bit wide at the site of Seven just randomly veering off towards walls, looking super flustered. He grabbed him by the shoulder to keep him on course, wondering which of them had the concussion. It was weird, even just touching him for this brief moment, as if he'd done this before. Quickly retracting his hand, his eyes searched the space in front of him as if zoned out. "You are good enough. And being soft isn't a sign of weakness, it's empathy, which a lot of people here could have a little more of, yeah?" he smiled, really being genuine. Sure, maybe Seven didn't fit in with the Class A stereotype, but he wasn't exactly a deadbeat either.
Dr. Ganymede's eyes went wide behind her goggles in excitement, wrapping the gauze around Ari's arm in case a phantom wound decided to show up. "Every single corner in this place is filled with something exciting," she grinned, pointing a finger at him before gesturing to all the locked cabinets. "I mean, of all the places in the school that are super interesting, mine surely would be in the top 3 if people knew!"
The dean grinned when Fiona stepped through the door- he wasn't supposed to play favorites, but he had a soft spot for this particular A student. Setting his mug down, he slid the report towards himself and gave it a quick read, bringing a hand to his chin. It pretty much lined up with what the staff had told him, but he liked to see that Fiona was enthusiastic about the venture, and that it went well for her. Letting out a soft hm, he slid the paper aside and clasped his hands together, looking up at her. "Well, it looks an awful lot like you want to ask me something!" he laughed, gesturing for her to sit. "Looks like you might be here a bit. Do you want any tea?"

(Eh, *pops characters in random places* Is there a library? Unless I missed it.. Eh,)
Dean was in the library, looking through books to see if he'd want to read them. Nope, no, definitely not. He tossed all of them to the side, letting out a sigh. "So bored," he managed to mutter. Not even look-through books that just had pictures looked good to look at. Dean was just so bored, because he had woken up, changed and did nothing that day really. Just, nothing interested him. Dean put his head on the cold table, letting the chilliness sink into his skin, and he let out another sigh.
Samantha sat outside, minding her own wonderful buisness. Every couple minutes she had moves her sitting position so the teen didn't get sore, or her legs didn't fall asleep. She basically had no friends and had nothing to do in life right now, because everyone was doing their own thing while others talked in groups. Samantha wasn't the group type of person, neither was she the talkative type when it came to other people. Her brother, eh, she could talk to him but he'd just be annoying and they'd really have nothing to do anyways.
(Not sure what to write Lately I've been having RPer's block.)

Seven felt the light touch of the hand on his shoulder and immediately twisted to the side, dropping his shoulder to try and avoid Stile's hand. His anxiety skyrocketed, heart pounding a mile a minute and he backed away slightly, barely listening to what Stile was saying. They were almost at the infirmary, so he took advantage of the first chance he had to interrupt, "I just remembered that I've got a thing. You're good? Great, nice to see you. I'll see you around." Without waiting for a response, he turned and left as quickly as possible, power walking down the hall.
Fiona nodded eagerly, "Tea sounds perfect, sir," smiling as she sat down in one of the chairs across from him. Without mincing her words, she launched right into why she was there, "Today was a bit of a mess. Between Class A's behavior, the confrontation with Piper, and everything with Gabriel, I can't help but feel I could have handled things much better."

Ari brought his newly wrapped arm closer to his body and held it close. "What? No way," he said, following her finger to the locked cabinets. He loves locked things - they screamed "Keep out!" so loudly they were practically begging him to pull out a lockpick. He had a feeling students usually aren't allowed in those, but Dr. Ganymede seemed enthusiastic enough to share. "I bet there's only needles and gauze," he challenged, eyes slidin back to the doctor.

Tongue clicking, she came to a pause and turned her full frame to him. Standing at a comfortable space from him, her eyes turned up to him once again. "Well I'm sure there is gonna be somethin to rant about any time. Interesting or not, I'm here to listen and be a shoulder if needed," she smiled then. She placed her hands into her pouch pocket, taking in a soft breath before Alessandra tilted her head down the hallway. "Suppose this is your stop. Well- it came a lot faster than I expected," she mused as she let a small smile take its place then.

Cassie pouted, giving Anna a childish glare. "Hey! How do you know they wouldn't love it here? I mean, they're aliens. They've probably got some fancy tech to wipe out all the monsters. And Earth is beautiful! Probably much more beautiful than their overpopulated, over-polluted, dying planet. I'm sure they would love it here." Her tone was so matter-of-fact, it was obvious she had put far too much thought into this. At Ria's very strange, out of place laugh, she tilted her head, tossing a glance over her shoulder towards them. "You alright, there, buddy?"
Hollis squinted at Wisteria. Something about this was fishy. Wisteria didn't often do things out of the pure kindness and love of her heart. "Hmmm... alright, fine, but I only say this because I still need one and they confiscated my last one. Even though I know you've got something planned. And please don't tell me what it is, I don't want to know- I don't need to die today."

Riandylan grinned and gave Cassie two thumbs up. They then waved their hand dismissively, as if to say Don't mind me. They wondered if it would seem more normal to jump into the conversation, so they said with a shrug, "I think they would like it here too - well, until, maybe, you know, we try to kill them or something."

Anna gave them both skeptical looks, then snorted, "You both think far too highly of this planet." There was a moment of harshness in her tone, a flash of resentment that she quickly hid as she built her confident stance back up, face returning to its neutral, controlled expression, "Next is the library." She dipped her head slightly, motioning the pair forwards in an almost chivalrous gesture. She'd rather get away from this conversation, she got the sense that discussing this world's various virtues would only lead to her snapping and lashing out at them both and she couldn't have that, not right now. She needed the Class A support and driving Cassie away so soon would only cement her current position within the school.

"And unless they were hostile, hopefully that wouldn't happen!" Cassie piped cheerily. At Anna's words, she frowned, reflecting on what she had said. Oh. She hadn't even realized that, with their very different statuses, Anna might not see things as she did. What was she saying "might"- it was obvious that she didn't. Unsure what to say, or if she should say anything at all, seeing as she had already moved on from the topic, Cassie bit her lip. "Maybe you just need someone to help you see that not everyone is all awful."

There was a very tempting tirade that Anna would have loved to go on about the state of humanity, the hopelessness of existence, and how all that mattered was taking care of yourself and those you need to rely on. Humanity was gripping to the final vestiges of a forgotten age before the beasts and her kind were even a concept, always trying to enforce old rules on an ever-evolving society. There was no point in believing humans were anything more than a dying breed and she saw no point in hoping that things would ever change and lead to some happy, equal resolution. She would do as she pleased, screw humanity and their rules. And one day, things would be so different for her, when humanity had finally kicked the bucket and left the world in the hands of the far more capable species. But looking down at Cassie, all filled with hope and optimism, it was blatantly clear that such a conversation wouldn't be worthwhile. So she merely looked away, murmuring softly, "Perhaps you're right." Then she began to lead the way down the hall, weaving her way down towards the library.

Cassie could, quite literally, feel a squeezing ache in her chest. Poor Anna, who had probably been through so much of others seeing her as different. Cassie would never be able to understood, and it made her a little angry. If she couldn't understand completely, she couldn't fix it. Her hero complex was not okay with that. So, in her mind, she made a promise that she was going to help Anna in any way that she could manage. "Some people are worth giving a shot," she reassured Anna with a confident smile. Having a mission of her own filled a void she had had since she arrived at the school. Lingering a few steps behind beside Ria, she busied herself with trying to memorize the hallways and how to get where.

Frank slowly gets to his feet once he was done weight lifting. He began to wrap his hands and takes a moment to relax for now. Frank was thankful no one else was in here. He preferred to train by himself though he did like to show off. Once his hands were wrapped, he walked over to the punching bag and started to punch at it. He would give a few punches on the top then move to the side. his feet constantly moving and his eyes firmly on the target.
Caspian closed his eyes as he floated on the surface. He stared up at the ceiling for a bit before slowly closing his eyes. Since he was alone, Caspian lets his mind wander and imagine a certain someone. Standing in his mind's eye was Risher looking handsome as ever. "Come on don't want to be late for our date!" Caspian smiled as he thought about it. Course Risher would never be this nice to him, but he could always dream.

There was a brief moment of hesitation, hearing the determination in Cassie's voice. It wasn't guilt, Anna didn't feel guilty about what she was trying to do and what she was planning on using Cassie to do. But there was a moment of sorrow, a split second that twisted her gut. She was going to hurt Cassie, she knew that for sure. There was no ending to this that would satisfy the other student at all and, when it came time, Anna would do whatever it took without a second thought. But for now, she let herself have that one moment. And then it passed and she opened the library door, holding it ajar and waving Ria and Cassie through.

If only Cassie weren't so naively optimistic, she might have noticed something fishy about Anna's words and actions. Alas, she was but a stupid child. Stepping into the library, her jaw dropped ever so slightly. Dang, this was one large place. Considering the subject the school was known for, she couldn't only imagine what kinds of herrendoues books one could find in here. "Hey, maybe we could find a demon summoning book in here," she joked to no one in particular. "Maybe it could get rid of the monster problem. Maybe it doesn't like to share mankind's suffering, y'know?"

(Happy Halloween! Don't get axe murdered!)
Anna shook her head, "Then we'd end up fighting a demon. I'd rather face mortal creatures." She twisted her lips in a small half-smile, "Though it wouldn't surprise me if there were a few books for that sort of thing." The library wasn't particularly diverse, but it did have a strange set of topics that it focused on and she wouldn't doubt it if demon summoning was one of them. Walking over to a shelf, she traced her fingers along the spines, glancing back at Cassie, "Have you ever read The Art of War?"

Cassie grinned. She had successfully made Anna smile! Kind of...! At her question, she could only tilt her head. "The Art of War?" Of course she had heard about it, being one of the most famous writings to ever exist. As far as she was aware, it was written by an insane ruler, and was filled with military strategy and some odd philosophies. "Uh... nope. Only heard about it. Haha, uh... why?"

She quickly pulled out a small book, the cover well worn and pages curling slightly, "Anyone attempting to fight a war should. He was an incredibly intelligent man, many theories of modern combat and engagement can be traced back to right here." She tapped the book's cover lightly, then held it out towards Cassie, head tilting slightly as she carefully watched her reaction, "You should at least peruse it. I'd rather not see you die on a battlefield any time soon."

Evidentily, this book had been read. Many times over, in fact. Staring down at the small book, she wondered if it was maybe Anna herself who often checked it out. She seemed to speak of it with a sort of affection. Or maybe Cassie was imagining things and Anna was merely someone who wanted to survive in the derange world they lived in. Even though she certainly had an advantage with her abilities. She laughed, "Well isn't that sweet of you. I'm glad at least someone here isn't railing for the new kid's death. "Taking the book tentatively, she opened it open to a random page. "Twelve: Now war is based on deception. Move when it is advantageous and create changes in the situation by dispersal and concentration of forces." An eyebrow quirked, she glanced back up to Anna. "And this is going to help me out there?"

Anna tried not to laugh, already thinking of the bet she'd made against Cassie's survival. Perhaps it was a touch foolish to try and help her when she'd be losing out, but Anna was far more interested in Cassie's usefulness as a living asset. She could hear a note of skepticism in Cassie's voice however and Anna nodded, lowering her voice, "War, war never changes." Then she took a step closer and tilted her head, leaning slightly against Cassie to look down at the pages, "The principles are all here. If you can understand the basics, it will help you out in the field. Unless you'd rather rely on me to keep saving you, which I wouldn't be all that opposed to."

Cassie snorted at Anna's touch of dramaticism. Not that this was like any war in the history of ever. While it could be argued that certain nations or people were monsters, she was pretty sure she had never read of fighting literal monsters. Feeling the weight of another body leaning against her body, she immediately stiffened, her grip on the book tightening ever so slightly and gaze determinedly focused on the black ink. "Haha, uh- no, no. You should be more concerned about saving yourself, right? Don't worry, I'll- I'll study up real well! Although it would be nice if I could get some actual training."
I'd be chill with skipping
