back on the grind. Got my utility pachirisu; apparently at lvl 81+ pickup procs have a 1% chance for a tier 3 item which includes a master ball and good held items

honestly even tier 2 is where it's at: all the evo items like magmarizer, evo stones + even the bird orbs are in that pool

yo I was being a nerd and comparing the name raters right to see like, which of the 10 I gave to everyone had the most variance and which one was the best/worst for everyone on average, things like that

anyways, I compiled a few other lists that I gave and ran some stats that I thought yall might like to enjoy idk.
putting this in my den thread for discussion so it doesn't have to interrupt games and split between threads

This is not a comprehensive statistical analysis btw, and only compares the HeatherClan list (Aldersnap, Termitesneeze), the random circle list (Zephyrsnap, Flutterspark) and the most recent 10 random names I gave everyone (Featherstorm, Ebonythicket). I'll have more complete data on that last set once the last few people get their numbers in (;

But for now, here's some random stats xp

Ivyfalcon your average rating for the three lists was a ~3.3. You also have the highest amount of variance, which I greatly appreciate!

《🎄○●cøpper●○🎄》 your average rating was a 6.8 and you had the lowest amount of variance. Out of 35 names, you only rated three lower than a 5 (Fissurefleck 3; Eclipsewing 4 and Sweetwhisker 4). You also give a lot of 7's, at least to this sample, but I think we share a similar taste in names hehe

stormshade1 your average was a 7.2. You had the most 10's and 9's by far, but also aren't afraid to rate 1's and 2's for things that weren't your style; your ratings have also become more dynamic over time which is cool to see!

yeah I had to normalize yours through a base 10, because it's the only way to compare them. All your values are approximates. But you were, by FAR, the one most likely to rate less than 5 / 2.5. Which I think is a great thing! I think too many people (myself included) are far too nice when I should be rating lower

I keep getting a bug where pokemon I evolve through items will faint afterward and I have to relaunch the game? very weird!

I know that feeling all too well sometimes. Especially in crowded places. My mind wants to join too many conversations but I can't process more than one. All the noise drives and people moving at the corner of my vision drives me up the wall!

This also applies For writing too. For example, I have all the kernels for getting motivated and have so many great sparks for stories but acting on it and typing everything out into paragraphs is too demanding a task. I've been like this all week. It's very frustrating to deal with.

I haven't played this game in.... *checks save* over four years. I've done a few of the expeditions since then just to dabble but never a real file. And uh, there's a lot of new things!

Kinda mad the "tutorial" took me like, almost two hours? before it gave me the blueprints and stuff I need to free explore. Which is kinda mean??? let me play the game???

also if you HAVE played it and haven't tried Black Reliquary overhaul you should!! It really is a good spiritual successor to the game and has enough aspects that make it feel new and fresh while keeping enough old mechanics that it's still the same game
Seriously though, the modding community is FANTASTIC like how many games have a fan-made second campaign embedded in them (for free btw) that is just as good if not better than the original game and has even more content than the original like. Kinda cool. The boss mechanics are also super neat, at least the ones I've fought so far.

I am super mad that I lost one of my favorite units, a reposte/thorns judicator, to some UTTER BS. Of course it's DD so it's technically my fault (to start, I accidentally threw the comp into the wrong dungeon, so all my trinkets and consumables were... subpar) but also like? I got crit -> crit -> hit to death's door + bleed -> bleed out (at 84% death resist) without any of my turns in between so. yeah. a little Cringed.

It's probably karma for my grave robber, who lived at LEAST nine death's door hits in a row earlier. I was fighting the plotline boss and I'm playing blind so I just brought a team and it was NOT a great team for that enemy type let me tell you. It wasn't bleed v Kravotz but it was close. Anyways, my healer died in the second or third turn (veiled also died to first death's door hit. which is cringe because his entire mechanic is being on death's door) and so I was just like. Eh these are lvl 2 units, lets just keep hitting the boss. I did manage to kill it, but it doesn't poof the ads in that fight. But my grave robber was the only one left, again literally three or four rounds at death's door being slapped by all the enemies and soloing with a -50% dmg debuff. I let her live because she deserved it after that.

Still sad she lived all that and my lvl 4 (religious, good quirks) Judicator died to a single dd chain. (my new judicator is pagan, which doesn't really work in the comp I was having the other one pop off in)

but hey that's the game I suppose.
