I've been doing short animations the last few days. Like, the 15-20 minute sketches that are just exaggerated figures or shapes, but it's been helping me learn dynamic camera angles so that's nice. Maybe I'll get somewhere one day with it.

I've also just been playing a lot of guitar hero. My hands ache constantly, but in a good way.

lowkey if anyone wants to make one or two to throw in the mix I would not be opposed to that

I think I'm doing SnowClan next. A nice small Clan. They also have close plot ties to SkyClan so it's a logical place to go. Then maybe I start SparkClan's (but don't finish it.... they have over a hundred cats over three camps..... too big a worldbuild too big even if it's necessary for Plot Reasons)

On the subject of the Circle of Granite: SkyClan is (mostly) done, I'm doing outlining work for SnowClan now. I also did SnowClan's historical leaders because their clan is only ~16 years old so there wasn't as much ground to cover as the "original" Clans. Including Snowclaw, who founded the Clan and didn't ever rule it, there have only been 5 leaders.

On the subject of Isaac: still grinding. I finished tainted forgotten's card in a single day. I love that character, probably one of my favorites. I also love tainted keeper but I am wayyy too aggressive in the late game and throw runs :,) Still haven't beaten ultra hard (furthest run this week: died in sheol)

On the subject of Pokemon: PMD:Heaven and Hell full released this week! I have three hours and still haven't gotten spoink's pearl! I keep getting one shot by torrent mudkips in the first dungeon (me: trapinch; partner: buneary) after STRUGGLING to down that freaking zubat without it one tapping either of us with acrobatics (I got lucky with two flinches on bites and koffing didn't burn buneary with ember). You don't get any items that first fight, so it's rough.

In other news, since starting that journey, I've also remembered all the PMD comics I used to read and binge read some of them, even if the best ones always go on hiatus (it's been six years :(). So of course to fill the void, I've been writing my own~ Not a comic because I can't draw (though I did doodle pix the scyther to see how her arms would work if I wanted to give her hands + blades on the back of arms). If you want to read the intro to the two main characters, it's on my solo-rp page here (yes I have a page where I rp with myself, it's fun and less pressure than writing the real way).

I am writing it the traditional way now that I got the train rolling, and Penny is so much more unhinged of a character now. She has no morals and can be super manipulative and I love her to bits because even with her absolute disrespect for rules, and. . . over the top methods of dealing with her problems, she DOES have a really empathetic reason for her ambitions to kill and become a god. <3

Why Buizel and Scyther? Because I learned that on the official pokemon website pokedex, you can randomize the list. I didn't force myself to choose the first one (Rhyhorn would have been fine, but I think the other was something really silly like mr.mime and I was NOT going to subject myself to that) but I did try and take one from that list of 20. There were too many good options, but I think they fit wonderfully. And I have a soft spot for buizel since it was one of my first shinies in platinum (and scyther is just a great mon, esp in pixelmon, that thing is OP with evolite and looks awesome; some of my first digital art was of scyther!!)

I've been taking isaac screenshots to explain some of my cool runs but I have to USB them and then imgur them and it's a whole thing so I haven't posted them.

I now have finished all marks for the entire normal cast (-JnE) and one tainted (isaac). Working on t lost because I hate having fun

Game:Hades
took me embarrassingly long for my first Hades win on this Hell file ummm
tho lowkey I forgot how hard it was to scale dmg without upgraded trinkets/mirror. Esp on Hell with 15% hp boosts on Elysium sheildbearers
I'm kinda upset that I can't farm diamonds without easy heat tho :/ Lasting Consequences 1 is no biggie but 2 stings, same with the added hp and mobs. Maybe I go straight for the boss buff ones tbh
Also it should be known that my first win was a full lambent plume run. That trinket hard carries.

I'm still debating how I want to be doing this project or where to go from here. Like on one hand, PMD comics slap and I want to make one, but on the other, it would take so much longer than just, writing it out. I also am super sad that I can't easily share it, but I'm not going to change it either so it'll just silently grow longer in my docs. I'll just have to let yall imagine the war crimes of a morally-challenged buizel who will do anything to become a god. ;)

Creative:Granite Circle
OKAY SO I decided it was family tree time and I've been going Ham on that. It's super fun and engaging for me, even more than making the allegiances list, so I'm going to keep at it. I don't know how big the file will need to be, but I really want to make all 56 years of family tree with 10 Clans. I think that would be fun. I'm already running into problems trying to overlap trees (there's like, three layers of lines that run UNDERNEATH the tree, connecting family groups in different Clans....) Layers and folders are helping but it's still a Challenge. A fun challenge, a puzzle, and one I am determined to wrangle. Now my problem is coming up with TOO MANY SIBLINGS and some of them have families and its overwhelming fast. Plenty of drama, both with forbidden romances early in the timeline and moving Clans as things begin to shift towards working together. It's all been super fun trying to work out individual relationships inside the tree!!

Game:Hades

I feel yucky for that win haha I was super squishy and only had one revive so I just ran around and kited with artemis call/cast + hermes 3.5s unload and just... took my time.
I am also very close to finishing all the story lines. 44 runs, so not horrible. got like, 2 more Eurydice, 2 or 3 more mom, and i forget what the steps were for Achilles but I've got him to admit he like patrocles so it's over half way with that.

and of course the Romances. I admitted my lingering affection for meg this run, and she gave me the married to her work talk. idk how long that lasts. and than is a little longer since he's harder to talk to, but I got his nectar locked so it should be soonish.

Game:Guitar Hero

Okay so I play a good deal of this in the background of other things and well. I've gotten to the point where either a) I need to try for FC's on hard OG songs (like Cliffs of Dover or Trooper kinds of level) and work on consistency, or if I want to keep doing tech and reach, I'm getting close to the limit of one hand and I'm gonna have to start using two to comfortably hit some of these faster solo portions. Which is a whole learning process for that technique. SOOOO

I can keep playing the mid-level maps and just going for better 99%s on disc songs but I'm getting tired of just that :/ But FCs are time zzzzzz

Actually if anyone has a disc song they want me to try and FC lmk and I'll go for it. I really just don't know where to start tbh. I have all the packs for 1 2 3 and 5 + DLCs. And aerosmith and metallica iirc. I also have antihero 1/2 if people are familiar with those setlists and have a good FC target, tho those tend to be more technical than any of the discs by far.

Game:Endless Legend

I wish I had more patience with singleplayer games I keep starting games and giving up after ~80 turns. This is a very good game and I love the lore a lot but I really want to make it to lategame one day!!!


Writing:Granite Circle

I'm starting the first of a few "Tix" in the granite circle. Darkstone is a very protagonist of a character and I love her to bits, she has a good quest to go on and she is fueled by spite and competitiveness. She will go anywhere so long as it's the opposite direction from where she's told.

I also did like, another three generations of the old SparkClan alliegences. I need to start making a few new family lines and figuring out a better way to deal with large jumps between mates from different family lines that is easy to read.

Or maybe I should say plotting? Since I haven't really written any more words than last time. I have a few more minor characters now that are quickly growing on me and I'm piecing together the plot points and the speed at which things happen. I want to give Penny's quest enough resistance that it feels difficult (because it is) but move it fast enough that it feels achievable at every turn. Which is a balance. I also need to figure out Pix's internal conflict and decide if she turns... not evil? but doesn't desire to clear her name anymore, I guess. There's acceptance and there's Acceptance and I don't know I want her to be okay settling for the first sort and chucking out the hope that she'll be accepted into the general populace again. Idk. She might go full antihero by the end and I can see that for her, but I don't want that to feel like an incomplete arc ya know? I want that to be a choice for her, not a second best or worse, a giving in.

Game:Endless Legend

I know I play mostly the early game but I still make so many mistakes it's not even funny anymore. I've taken to playing ~1hr ~30 turns each morning for some practice, since it's a chill game. I'm getting to a place where I'm fairly consistent. Even with mediocre settles I'm getting to a stable gamestate by turn 30 on most of my runs.

I also LOVE cultists, I think they're one of my favorites if not my all time favorite faction. But I had a game today that the nearest dozen regions had impossible faction quests and I didn't get a single pacified by turn 20.... which is super bad. The other game I started with cultists this morning I had the 8 pacify deed by turn 15 just to put that in context. It's always that my main region wants to do the ruin-fight or minor-fight really far away, and the cultist units alone just can't do that. If I would be able to get one other pacified and turned I could use that unit to chain the rest of the quests, but noooooo

it's been months but I've come back to my League fanfic. I don't usually write canon characters, but with League it's so open ended since their media is only a few short animations and in game barks with maybe a page of backstory, so I don't feel like I can mess anything up haha. I'm struggling a little bit keeping some characters consistent and how to move the pace, but it's been fun so far and I want to get far enough into it that I can at least introduce Soraka into the plot! I think I found a good place in the lore to expand and oh boy am I going to make this plot juicy. I love found family and mercs and so I combined those into This.

Now my problem is that Twisted Fate is supposed to have these sassy one liners and I am Super Bad at making witty comebacks so it takes me forever to get him right haha.

that is the biggest mood. I will say t keeper has lost vibes. Only two health and you get coins from killing enemies that disappear after like 1.5s so you have to play aggressively to stay alive. Really rewarding.

and same!! I pretty much only play tainted lost nowadays. The damage multiplier at base feels so niceeee
