Ebony with sunshine aether--- A desperate meow woke Ebony up from her immersion in her own thoughts. "Hello? Is anybody here," she mewed, a hint of fear spreading through out her voice. She was a kittypet, and not very used to being outdoors. What if this cat didn't have good intentions? She crept towards the direction of the sound, her ears intact with her surroundings. What if, she thought with a pang of hope, what if this is my son? Oh, how she missed her kits! She wished she had never left them and their father, but life had to go on, and the circumstances surrounding the event were horrid. It was better she left them than that they stayed with her owners.

Ripplepaw with aether open - hootpaw is leaving --- "Uh, okay, I'll tell him!" A frown painted itself on the apprentice's face once she realized how bitter Hootpaw seemed. Why was she so angry? Tigerpaw is really nice, she pondered, warmth spreading throughout her paws and ears. He wasn't rude to her for all I know... But, they do seem really distant...! They used to be good friends, I think. She shuffled her paws a bit. This feeling is nice, what is this? She shook her head, turning around to sit next to the shore. I can't think of him like that, we're just friends! Just... whatever. I have more important things to worry about anyway, she thought, desperately trying to rid her mind of the strange feeling. I wonder what my mother would've thought of me. Would she be proud or would she think I failed her by becoming who I am? And my father... Would he love me and praise me? Does he love me?Her eyes clouded with tears, and this time she let them flow down her face. "I hope you can see me, mother," she sobbed lightly, "and I hope that it hurts." After a few moments, she swiped her paws over her face to wipe the tears away. "If I ever have kits, they're never going to go through this, unless I'm seperated from them by death," she whispered, stalking off to the forest of palms.

Yoko
Yoko frowned once again. The loner didn't understand this treatment at all. He was getting frustrated as to why this she-cat was treating him like nothing. He usually was babied around by mollies, so that he wouldn't have to find his own shelter or prey, but he knew this wasn't going to pass Cassia.
Yoko simply groaned,"I didn't expect you to understand anyways." As he said that, he laid his tail on the molly's left shoulder and he locked eyes with her and he smiled. "It's about time to asked me.",Yoko purred delightfully. "It's simply Yoko and as for your offer? I need time to think about it because you say I can't hunt or fight, but, well, I, uh, can fend and hunt for myself you know!", the tom lied.
Yoko did know how to hunt, but his knowledge was quite small. As for fighting? There wasn't much to say, but that Yoko is a disaster when it comes to defending himself. "Maybe, I could change my mind if we hanged out around each other more. Maybe then I could change my mind." Yoko laughed softly "But that's totally up to you Cassia.". Yoko knew Cassia was feisty, but he still wanted to try to woo her even though he totally knew that was a bad idea.

Cassia with yoko rob lucci's wife--- "Yeah, we'll see how well your hunting and fighting add up later," she sighed, noticing the tom's tail on her shoulder. "Maybe we could hang out more, just maybe though. I'm not going to baby you, so don't expect it, and also, I'm looking for an ally, someone I could occasionally share prey and shelter with, not a kit I have to feed, so if you expect that, as one may asssume due to your pathetic backing out of a fight, you may promptly leave." She held eye contact with the loner. She didn't glare at him, but she did have a stern look in her eyes. They glistened with a dainty yet fiery femininity, and her posture held honor. Perhaps I was too stern. Well, no apologies now! It's too late anyway.

Yoko // ☾—ivy。˚⊹♪:¨ ·The tom's eye twitched out of annoyance. What a stubborn molly! Yoko dipped his head down before looking back at the calico cat and sighed, " Well, I never expected that'd you treat me like a kit anyways Cassia! Besides, I backed out because I was outnumbered. They could have killed me and you know, I value my life unlike some molly named Cassia!". He once again said another lie so easily. He looked up at the sky and mewed," A storm is going to happen soon. If you want me to prove how great my skills are, we should start right now before my beautiful fur is ruined. " Yoko then swiped his ear as he waited for an answer from the other loner.

Cassia with yoko rob lucci's wife--- Sighing, she turned around to try and scent something. "Okay, pretty boy. Whatever you say," she muttered, her pupils dilating as she scented a colorful fruit-eating dove. "I smell something!" A purr rumbled deep in her throat, and she stealthily switched into a hunter's crouch. "Be quiet now! I need this catch," she mumbled hungrily, remembering her last meal was a few sunrises ago. She stalked towards the orange bird's scent, her paws pracitcally floating above the ground and her eyes looking for any trace of it. Suddenly, she saw its orange body right before her. It seemed to be eating. She expertly crouched towards it, and once the timing felt right, she pounced on the bird, ending its life with a swift bite to the neck. She proudly carried the bird back to where Yoko was, her tail held high and her pride as evident as ever. "This is my catch. I haven't eaten in a bit, so we can't share, for now, at least. I'd like to see what you have in store for me, anyway," she purred delightfully.

Yoko // ☾—ivy。˚⊹♪:¨ · “ Oh, so you admit I’m pretty!?”, Yoko purred as he winked to the loner. He watched Cassia catch the small bird. She seemed like a professional hunter in Yoko’s amber eyes. Impressive , the tom thought. The tom sighed. “ Well if you wanted to be allies, I’d think you’d share a bit with your alliance!”, he said as he blinked his eyes with sadness. “ Whatever. We should find shelter at this point before the storm sweeps us away.”, Yoko mewed as he got up and stretched. His claws dug into the ground. Yoko sent a smile to Cassia hoping she’d agreed with his plan, after all he was tired.

Cassia with yoko rob lucci's wife--- The calico loner nodded in agreement, ignoring the other loner's flirtatious remark. "Alright. First things first, we've got to get out of this Clan's territory. They'll kill you and maybe me if they find us here. They've already seen you once, they don't have to see you again," she muttered, her jaws firmly clenched around the bird. Its scent was hard to resist, and she hoped she didn't seem desperate to eat. Suddenly she broke out in a steady sprint, looking back to see where Yoko was. "C'mon! I think there is a good place not far from here," she yelled, her fur flowing with the wind.

Yoko // ☾—ivy。˚⊹♪:¨ ·Yoko replied, " Yeah, those clan cats were just so mean. Maybe all clan cats are simply mean. That Basiltail really got under my fur.". He stared at the bird that Cassia caught earlier and licked his lips. Oh how he died for food, but he simply didn't want to embarrass himself in front of the obviously skilled molly. " I sure hope so. This wind is starting to annoy me in all honesty." Yoko looked at the she-cat admiring how nice the wind flowed with her dark fur. " I want to just lay in a nice nest filled with the finest moss and the softest feathers, how a dream that'd be.", Yoko said as he tried to catch up with Cassia, daydreaming of how nice he'd feel once he slept through the hard rain that would soon come.

Cassia with yoko rob lucci's wife --- "A nest filled with moss and feathers sounds great, but I don't know how easy it will be to acquire during this storm," she mewed, the bird between her jaws dangling lightly as she ran, suddenly remembering the tom's remark about Clan cats. "Clan cats aren't mean; they're just realistic. It's their territory anyway. I can't deny their prey's delicious taste, though." After a bit of running and complaints, Cassia arrived to an abandoned Twoleg nest with Yoko. "This is where I usually sleep. I tend to stay at the same place for a long time." She crouched down to enter the nest from behind as there was a crack in the dusty, wooden wall. Upon entering, the calico's eyes were met with a deteriorating wooden box with a once-white pile of fluff in it, covered by a brown scrap which provided warmth. On the top of the strange setup was another smaller pile of fluffy material, which served as an extremely comfortable nest for Cassia. On the wooden floor lay another fuzzier brown scrap. Next to it was a pile of weird Twoleg contraptions which were all seated on a four-legged piece of wood. Next to it was a gray, cold box which bore a gray pipe. The place smelled weird; like dust and sand. It had one hole on the opposing wall through which Cassia viewed the world around her. "Here we are," she said, kneading the floor happily. She walked to the four-legged bearer of Twoleg items, seating herself beneath it and dropping the bird. She hungrily bit into it. The scent was alluring; she had never smelled anything better. "Make yourself at home. You can explore a bit, if you like."

Yoko // ☾—ivy。˚⊹♪:¨ · Yoko followed the molly into the twoleg place. " You're lucky that no other cat has found this place or else they'd start-" the tom coughed after inhaling some dust that was falling from the top of the twoleg place " Agh! This smell! It's making me want to sneeze so badly.", complained the tom to Cassia. " This is by far probably one of the best places that I've managed to sleep in. The only thing that bothers me is the smell and how dusty it is down here.", yawned the lean tom. He watched Cassia feasting on the bird she caught early as his stomach rumbled quietly. I'll just try to eat tomorrow, it's way too bad right now to hunt. Yoko walked towards the four-legged piece of wood and laid under it. He started to groom himself as he knew his fur was beyond dirty to him, at least in his own high standards. " You should really clean your fur if you haven't already. It felt like my fur caught some bugs when we were running towards this place.", he mewed loudly as he didn't know where the molly was.

Cassia with yoko rob lucci's wife --- A smirk appeared on Cassia's face. "You really think a lady doesn't groom herself regularly? What a silly boy you are," she chuckled, examining what remained of the fruit-eating dove. There was still a good amount of meat on it body, and she felt full. She decided to offer some of it to Yoko. "Hey, Yoko. I'm full but there are some nice bits left on this bird. I assume you're hungry, so you can have it. Anyway," she mewed, nuzzling the bird towards where she thought she had heard Yoko's voice come from earlier. "I think I'll clean myself a bit and go to sleep. I'm really tired," she yawned as she began to lick her white paw. She swiped it over her face delicately before grooming the rest of her body half-heartedly yet somewhat efficiently. She finally crawled out of the shelter of the wooden holder of items, heading towards the comfortable wooden box. She leaped on it, kneading the fuzzy scrap beneath her as she settled onto a smaller pile of fluff delicately wrapped in a white scrap.

Lilypool »
It was luck on Rookfall’s part that Lilypool hadn’t noticed his slight stumble in words. Rather, the tabico molly had put her attention in gathering what lime leaves she could, hoping to get enough to last until they could go out and collect more. With a storm on the way it was important to get back to shelter before the worst of it hit, but it was also important to gather as many herbs as possible. Storms during the wet season could last for days. If they were lucky the storm itself would pass quickly and leave the Clan just a drizzle to worry about. That’s what Lilypool hoped for, but one could never be too sure with something as moody as the weather.
Still, she found just enough time to respond, ”We healers appreciate it. It’s nice knowing there’s a scout or two willing to take us out on herb gathering patrols. I’m sure you know some scouts aren’t quite as happy about it.” Most would rather spend their time guarding hunters instead of standing around letting healers ‘sniff flowers’ - as some scouts would put it - but there were a few scouts out there who knew it was necessary to watch out for the healers from time to time. Rookfall was one of those cats, and Lilypool felt fondness toward the black tom sprouting warmly in her chest.
The healer easily could have stayed there amongst the tree line alongside Rookfall for the remainder of the day, but a large droplet of rain landing on her flank had her thinking otherwise. ”Yeah,” she started in response to his comment on beating the rain, ”I don’t think any of us want to get stuck in a storm by the ocean.” As the words rolled off her tongue she glanced in the direction she had last noticed Seabreeze. Thankful that Rookfall had called for, she bent down and picked up a mouthful of the lime leaves. As she did she heard Rookfall speak up once more. Her ears angled toward the tom, listening to his words; the sure confidence in his voice gave Lilypool pause. He sounded so sure of himself, so sure in the healers to find a cure for these bugs… A weight she didn’t even know she had been carrying lifted off her. Suddenly she could breathe easier. A smile pulled at her lips, and with a purr, she straightened, looking straight at Rookfall, smile and all.

Yoko // ☾—ivy。˚⊹♪:¨ · Yoko replied, " Are you sure you know how to properly groom your fur Cassia?" The tom may not be the sharpest cat out there, but the tom knew everything he needed to know about personal hygiene. As he followed the scent of the half eaten bird that Cassia caught earlier, Yoko said, " Thank you for the meal. I was wondering if I was going to go to bed hungry, but thankfully you remembered me enough to feed my pretty mouth." He purred at the end of that sentence. Yoko got the bird and placed it where he was going to sleep for the remainder of the day. He then got up and tried to find Cassia. He quickly found her by the wooden box. He walked closer to her and he licked her ear. " Sorry to interrupt you, but I knew you that you didn't how to properly groom your fur. You had a tiny bit of dirt hiding on your ear.", he purred as he examined the cat's fur.

algaewing
"Excellent," Algaewing purred, heart warmed at the sight of a youth delighted by the prospect of experimentation. Kiwipaw's excitement was infectious, and she walked with a bounce to her step to the healer's den.
"So," she said, spreading out the herbs she'd collected, "I've gathered the insect repellents I do know: mint, rosemary, basil, and lemongrass. One more experimental plant is lavender - there's a patch down by the Calm Falls and I've always noticed that the mosquitos keep clear of that patch during wet season."
She gestured to Kiwipaw. "My plan is to attempt to create a mixture more potent than the sum of its parts. Even if they might not kill the bugs, they might just create an inhabitable enough habitat for them upon our fur. Subject of experiments: me." No longer able to withstand it, she scratched her side roughly.
"What are your thoughts, then, Kiwipaw?" she said, wanting to include the apprentice in the thought process. "What's your hypothesis?"
at the border
"Well well well," Basiltail said, ears perking up curiously at the new cats that had joined the fun. Now they looked like they knew how to have a good time, pelts marred with scars and scratches, eyes dark and cruel. He stretched luxuriously, showing off his claws. "I knew we were in for a fun patrol."
butterflypaw
with whitepaw at gecko ravine
"Whitepaw!" Her name was a strangled gasp in Butterflypaw's throat as she caught her clanmate, eyes wide at the blood seeping into the forest floor. "Oh my gosh! Are you okay?"
Her eyes darted to where the boa twitched limply, trying to drag itself off somewhere safe. "You'll bleed out if we don't get pressure on that leg," she said, mew deeply worried as she gently led a limping Whitepaw to rest against the stump of a tree. "Here - raise your wound so that it's above your chest," she instructed. "Gravity will pull the blood your heart's pumping down and make it bleed more. Boas don't have venom so we don't have to worry about that hitting your heart."
She was torn - part of her wanted to strike the boa once more, killing it dead for sure. Part of her wanted to study it, pull it apart and dissect it. But if she wouldn't be able to do any of that if she left Whitepaw's side.
"Press here - no, here," she said, guiding Whitepaw's front paw. "I'm going to find some cobwebs." With that Butterflypaw whisked around and dove into the undergrowth, hunting for prime cobweb spots; a hole embedded in a tree's trunk, between the fronds of long, old ferns, strung within the hollows of a fallen log. Gathering a swab about her paw as fast as she could, heart thumping, Butterflypaw flew back to where Whitepaw lay, paranoid the boa would somehow inch back and perform one final strike.
But it looked like the boa had dragged itself off to lick its wounds, or die in the bushes somewhere. Butterflypaw pressed cobwebs hard into the bite above Whitepaw's ankle. She gazed, stricken, as the building wind howled around them, the first drizzle of rain dampening their fur."... I'm sorry," she mewed quietly, eyes betraying her guilt. "This is all my fault."

duskflight with redwave at the beach
Duskflight bowed his head if only to hide the delight in his eyes as his plan began clicking into place. Remember, you're doing this for the good of the clan, he told himself. "Your words are strong, young Redwave. And I am inclined to believe them." He raised his head once more. "Indeed, I sought you out for a reason, for amongst your littermates, I believe it is you who has the biting urge and resolution to take action." Stroke his ego a little more. Make him feel special.
"And it is you," Duskflight purred, "who will ease peace into the heart of the clan once more." He turned to look at the waiting camp behind them. "I believe we - the counselors of the clan - must announce a new neophyte."
He turned back to Redwave. "We should look for an opportune time. Now, at least, it appears the storm is about to hit our beaches." The wind was growing stronger, whisking sand and salt into their fur. "Whilst the time approaches, talk to your clanmates. Listen to their woes. Prove to be the greater leader so that their acceptance of their new neophyte is heartfelt." Of Redwave's charisma, he was admittedly unsure. Duskflight would have to make a sweep through the camp himself, whispering the idea into his clanmate's ears.
"I trust in you to make things right."
mintsong with sandheart in camp
Mintsong looked up. She was feeling pretty stormy herself, so she related to the dark clouds rumbling above their heads. At Sandheart's innocent query, she had to hold back from bristling.
"Oh, I've been just fine," she said, sarcasm drawing out each word. "Just a little snake bite there, a bug infestation there, you know, the usual." She whisked her tail. "Oh yeah, and the whole secret spilling out of the tree trunk to infect the whole clan. It's been just great."
Her tail lashed harder. The wind screeched. "... Were you ever going to tell me?" she blurted out at long last. "Or were you just going to keep lying to my face 'til the grave?" As angry as her words were, her eyes were agonized.

PARROTCALL gecko ravine / with batpaw
Parrotcall nodded emphatically, wrinkling his nose. "Oh, I know. Isn't it the worst when the rain messes up your fur? Especially after you put significant effort into grooming it??" He whisked his tail, stirring the leaves littered across the grass behind him. Fortunately the dense jungle canopy should keep most of the bad weather off of them. Still, it would be better to get back sooner than later.
"Well, let's be off then!" He declared. "Show me what you've learned from your scouting training, Batpaw!" He winked at the smaller tom. Now that the apprentice had sufficiently apologized, he'd give Batpaw a chance to win back his pride by taking the lead and demonstrating his skills. Parrotcall fell in behind him, humming to himself as the pair headed back. He remained alert in case he noticed something Batpaw missed. His nose was nearly as good as the scouts', after all; it's what made him so great at finding herbs.
SUNCHASER returning to camp / with silentwave "Sure thing," mewed Sunchaser, mistaking the other warrior's frustrated body language for concentration or perhaps determination. He strode forward with such purpose, such honor, such dignity. She, too, straightened and drew her powerful shoulders back while they walked. Head held high, she scanned the bracken around them for any sign of movement.
"So," she said, breaking the brief silence that had settled over them. "You said I could join you, but you didn't actually say whether or not you wanted my help." She leaped over a fallen branch that crossed their path. "I can help you hunt, but I could also just, you know, keep scouting, since that is my job. I could keep an eye out for danger while you hunt?"
The golden molly had no trouble keeping up with the tom; her long strides brought her about even with Silentwave's shoulders. If he was deep in thought, she didn't notice. She shot him a brilliant grin, green eyes sparkling. "What'll it be? Your safety is my priority, regardless, of course."

JACARANDABLOOM camp / with coconutfall Jacarandabloom's face went on a journey as she listened to Coconutfall, shifting through several different expressions before settling on an interesting combination of pleasantly surprised and offended. She hadn't expected him to just take her suggestion right upfront. Perhaps her ideas meant something to him after all.
The scout unsheathed her small, sharp claws and let them sink into the grassy turf, feeling conflicted. On the one paw, she was happy he listened to her and still took her seriously. On the other, it meant he really hadn't had any plans of his own and had been waiting for someone else to take charge.
Some leader you are. This Clan is practically running itself right now. Out loud, she said, "Exactly! You cut the problem off at its source. No eggs, no more boas and no more bugs." She flattened her ears. "And of course I'll join the patrol. I can lead it too if that's what you want." Her voice sounded more confident than she felt. If I fail, or if someone gets hurt, then it's all on me... But I won't fail. I'm strong enough to do this.
But did her father think so?
KIWIPAW healers' den / with algaewing
The inside of the healers' den was cool and refreshing compared to the humidity of the oncoming storm outside. Rain drummed lightly on the roof, creating soothing background noise for them to work to. Kiwipaw eagerly joined Algaewing while she selected the herbs for the experiment. Mint, rosemary, lavender, lemongrass flashed through his head as he identified the herbs in silence. The fifth and final one escaped him until Algaewing named it as basil.
Kiwipaw nodded. "Okay, got it. You think combining all of these things will create some kind of super insecticide?" That line of thinking was close to his original idea and he allowed himself a pleased smile. The smile quickly warped into a grimace when Algaewing indicated herself and followed it with a fierce scratch. "You've got the bugs, too? Are we sure they're not contagious?"
Feeling that stepping away from her would maybe be rude, he refocused on the herbs in front of them. Come on, Kiwipaw, use that brain of yours. He wondered how Algaewing had arrived at the conclusion that these plants could also ward against insects. He didn't recall that effect being listed as one the primary uses for mint, rosemary, or lavender. Maybe I haven't gotten that far in my training yet.
Aware that the healer was waiting for his answer, Kiwipaw looked up, and words began to spill out of his mouth as ideas bubbled up. "Um, well, you'd start with using the most potent of these, right? Mix those together, narrow it down by process of elimination? Do we need more than one test subject?? Because some of these could have a different effect on different cats, right?"

Cassia with yoko rob lucci's wife--- "I do know how to properly groom myself! I'm just tired," she mumbled, setting her head down on the white scrap. "And, you're welcome." She twitched her ear a couple of times when the tom aproached. She reckoned this must've been what had alerted him of the dirt on her ear. "You really do insist that I need help, huh," she meowed, her eyes now closed and her paws neatly tucked beneath her body. "Alright, then. So be it, but I'll need help with hunting as well." A few moments later, she was already half asleep. The storm seemed to be fading away, as well as her problems. A very choked and silent purr escaped her body, loud enough for her to calm down. Perhaps living with this entertainer of a cat won't be so bad.

Silentwave with sunchaser Tealraven--- "Well..." After a bit of thought, the tom turned to Sunchaser, a tiny smile carved into his features. "You can hunt with me, if you wish," he mewed. Rage was growing somewhere deep inside his heart, and he was ready to release it, but not around nice cats. Sunchaser had good intentions, and that was enough. Perhaps I'm not a bad person, I just did something bad in the past, he thought, striding forward. Unhinging his jaws, he drank in the scents of the forest after pausing briefly. There had to be something here, if he hadn't scared it away. He didn't scent anything yet, and he turned around to see what the scout was doing.
