Finally! I was wondering when these were going to get reprints! I'm actually going to go to B&N tomorrow anyway, so if I see CP, I might take a picture if someone else doesn't do it first. As for the cover, I love it, but something about Leafstar's nose seems off to me and I don't know why!

Leafstar looks pretty, but does anyone else think it looks like she's got really big/long eyelashes?? lol
And I cannot WAIT to see how Crookedstar looks! I've never been a fan of the way he looks on the original cover of CrP, so I hope they do him justice this time around.

Now I can finally soon finish my collection of all Super Editions with the new artstyle. Leafstar does look cute but she reminds me of Mothwing a whole lot with this portrayal.

This art looks not entirely rendered and Leafstar looks yellow rather than brown and cream. The older cover was so pretty, I wish they didn't change it.

Lol this post made me start cursing out loud, because I JUST made the rounds to all 3 of the bookstores in my city YESTERDAY. It usually takes my city a few months to get these new covers in for some reason anyway though, so I guess I'll just wait to look again when Exile from ShadowClan comes out next month.
I do like that they finally seem to be deviating from the silver backgrounds though!

So, Dawnmist posted a scanned version of the new SkyClan's Destiny cover where Leafstar looks a whole lot less yellow (previously kind of like Mothwing) in comparison to the original photo. Oooh I like this version! Leafstar doesn't really remind me of Onestar- I like the shade of brown of her pelt and her eye color a lot.

Someone finally found a reprinted paperback version of Yellowfang's Secret (Floris on Twitter): Edit: Apparently they did not actually find a physical copy though but rather saw it via a library website. Finally! I love Yellowfang's design here, it's just a shame she doesn't look like a Persian, unless it's just me, since I do see her face is flattened slightly. It's the one thing that makes her unique from other gray cats! |
