She does! Her appearance is also based on the persian cat breed and one of the authors speculated she probably has such ancestry somewhere in her family tree.

This would not be the first time Owen Richardson drew characters differently from their original designs since he also turned the formerly sleek and blue version of Bluestar into a fluffy almost Yellowfang. Just with a pointier face and blue eyes. But the grumpy look and gray fur were quite different than from before. I do not think that this is entirely his fault though since he for sure gets guidelines and maybe even a rough concept of how the covers should look. Either by Working Partners or Harper Collins.

MY GIRRLLLL AHAJANSJWJ! Honestly I thought her face would be a lot more broad, like in the original cover, or maybe even like in the reprint of Rising Storm. Her image in the Ultimate Guide is probably the best depiction of her imo. The new colors look amazing though!

The covers were probably redone to keep in line with the new artstyle and artist. With these three new reprinted ones finally revealed all of the older Super Editions which still had Wayne McLoughlin's art now got updated to Owen Richardson's style.

Me too but it could have been way worse *flashbacks to the new Bluestar SE cover*.
