weekend time!!
I had three(3) long days this week so I'm absolutely tired. They said it was usually only limited to two long days, but something came up (as it does) and that turned into a long friday too :/ Oh well, it was satisfying work, even if my back aches from the physical labor parts this morning.
I def have more experiences to put into my writing though! Can't write about it until you've really experienced it and all.
I'll see what ya got, Rainy, and we'll get blue team to the border

I lied and filled out three more forms On the one hand, now I have more characters to work with so I don't get stuck as often. Which is good! On the other hand, now I have to write three more starters. Which sucks. Anyway, here's some new character blurbs for relationship purposes swanclanJayflight is a prickly introvert with a heart of gold - he just isn't sure how to show it. Says "ew, people" but doesn't really mean it; sarcasm is how he shows affection. In fact, the more polite he is, the more likely it is he doesn't like you. Needs an extravert to adopt him. Broody, patient, deeply loyal, traditional: values and takes pride in swanclan customs. It would probably turn his world upside down and call into question everything he's ever believed about love if he found out his soulmate was from another clan... hint, hint. Straight.
Actually thinking of shifting Sootfall's original character arc over to this boy because honestly Sootfall is too easygoing to care about forbidden soulmates lol. "Love has no borders" amirite crowclanMyrtlewhisper is the resident Wine Aunt and clan gossip who lives for drama. She has no biological children but has probably adopted all of the apprentices and half the younger warriors to boot. Likes to embellish tales of her exploits as a younger warrior and give questionable advice. Has reached the age where she doesn't give af but isn't ready to retire. Mostly harmless but has a shady streak; can be manipulative if so desired. Possibly in cahoots with Hickoryshade, if only because she likes to keep an eye on the trouble they get into because it gives her fodder for bragging/gossip. She's open to siblings. Aro ace.
Hickoryshade is a snarky, mischievous hooligan who gets into trouble for the fun of it. Likes to see how much they can get away with or how many buttons they can push before crossing a line. Honestly, how are they not dead yet. Why? Mostly boredom. Do they have loyalties? Not really, but they could be convinced for the right reason or by the right cat. Do they care about the larger conflict plaguing the clans? Maybe, but they don't show it. They're not stupid; they notice things. Open to family but may not be close with them. Pansexual.
Set up to be a possible turncoat character for drama so they might be a good candidate for a forbidden romance? Maybe they get close to somebody for information and end up catching real feelings?? Maybe they finally meet someone who makes them question their morals or realize that loyalties are important and they become conflicted over choosing the "right" side for the first time?? Am I making this up as I type it??? Yes absolutely |

Still having some difficulties with tech :’) I try to be as active as possible but life is life. I’ll get a reply up sometime during the week if possible, but I’m also going on a trip for like three days soon. More activity in July I guess lol

Doing okay! It's hideously cold outside, and the sun doesn't feel like getting up before I do, but matariki and the winter carnivals are soon and that'll be heaps of fun. My cat's learnt 'sit' and 'come' and we're working on more, we can't really take him for walks at the moment (his little pawsies get cold) so that's his enrichment!

Same, same. But at least the sun is up (if not visible lol) by the time I get going in the morning.
I'd love for it to be warmer, but at the same time I ought to count my blessings that all the moisture in the air is keeping fire season at bay.
Winter carnival! How fun! I don't know what matariki is but I'm sure it's great, too! cx

Having a fire season sounds terrifying!
Matariki is sort of like the maori new year? There'll be a lantern display and some small events, and it's a good excuse to have a nice dinner!

I've been light trapping moths the last two nights and tonight was a little cold so we didn't get too much but yesterday we got a couple really cool moths including a luna moth she was very pretty!

I think a time skip is well overdue. Even a week would be appreciated at this point; I don't think there has been much activity in any of the Clans for a while and that should spice things up and maybe get something moving. I'd love to free up my cats for other things too if plots aren't going anywhere.

I'm good with a time skip! We can always do the border skirmish another time. I still think it would be fun to rp that at some point.
I recall that several pages back Blu was throwing out ideas of a gathering or a spy patrol. Just something else to consider.
