Quiteface camp open for interactions
Quiteface was strolling threw the clearing watching everyones movements. The tom was quite jumpy and more snappy today he stretched out his forepaws and then stood properly he decided since he had nothing to do. then just sit here and mope around he'd see what other cats where doing looking around to see who he could speak to while he complained about the weather of today. Quiteface never liked the weather no matter if its leafbare or greenleaf starclan knows why he's such a picky cat. He continued to just .. walk in circles pacing who knows what the cat was thinking of flicking his tail back and forth in agitation oh you could tell he was annoyed now what was bothering the poor tom? who knows he probably looked so odd to the others around him but what can you do.

FOXBLAZE leaving shallow pool / with rowanspots Foxblaze rolled her eyes at his sarcastic comment. "I'm sure you are. You're always so selfless and altruistic." She could feel his gaze lingering on her and felt her fur prickle with irritation and self-consciousness. He was waiting for a reaction, no doubt. Despite her best efforts, she had a face that gave away her every thought and feeling, much to her dismay. She never could prevent her temper from getting the best of her. Well, if anybody has a problem with that, too bad! She thought defiantly. That's just part of the Foxblaze package. Her jaw tightened and she stared straight ahead, refusing to look over her shoulder at her teammate. Is he walking slowly on purpose?
Not but a few heartbeats later, Rowanspots pulled ahead of her, tail-tip twitching a few paces from her face. She wrinkled her nose. "The camp isn't that far away. There's no need to rush." Her words were somewhat muffled by the prey in her mouth. "Frankly, I'm surprised you're so eager to return, considering you have nothing to show for your efforts. Or do you intend to brag about the border, instead?"
Foxblaze quickened her pace, hopping over a tree root that crossed their path. "If it were me, I would've moved the line a few inches," she muttered. "Show those primped and preened SwanClan mouse-hearts we aren't cowards." It was no secret where Foxblaze stood on the matter of taking OwlClan's rightful territory back from their rival Clan.

Ashstripe Patrol Cedar, Fox, Jade, Quiet As usual, the dawn patrol spread out to hunt on the way back from the borders. Usually, Ashstripe would be up in the front with her teammates, but this time she'd taken over watching Jadepaw and got distracted showing the she-cat some of the early blooming wildflowers, which the young apprentice had never seen before, and now they were behind. Foxblaze was going to catch so much more than her if they couldn't catch up, though. Ashstripe tried scenting for prey along the way, but after her teammates had come this way, it wasn't surprising that prey had hidden away. She looked back at Jadepaw, flicking her tail, only a small frown betraying her annoyance as she imagined Foxblaze had caught several mice already. "We can't get back to camp empty-pawed," Ashstripe said, "what can you smell, Jadepaw?" At least she could turn it into a teaching moment.

»»————- ♦ ————-«« Jadepaw Patrol With the patrol (not tagging for now since it's large lol)
Jadepaw was off in her own little wonderland. She loved daydreaming of when she would become a warrior. She had started her training a few moons ago and still had a while left to go before she could become a warrior. But for now she thought of what her name would be, it had always intrigued Jadepaw that one day she'd finally have a proper name to call her own. She liked the sound of names like Jadeshimmer or Jadefall, something pretty or fun, something that'd match her personality.
She had been named after her eyes, they weren't exactly jade green, but close enough, she couldn't imagine being named after her coat colour, Jadepaw had a much better ring to it.
Due to all her daydreaming, Jadepaw had completely forgotten what she had came here for- she was on a patrol, for StarClan's sake. When she heard Ashstripe asking her about what she could smell.
Jadepaw paused. "Uhh," she sniffed the air nervously. "....Grass???" Jadepaw gave a small chuckle, half-nervous and half-jokingly. She hoped the older warrior wouldn't take it too seriously.
She noticed that they were trailing rather far behind Foxblaze and Rowanspots, Jadepaw's mentor. They'd probably be heading back to camp by now!
Mouse-dung! Jadepaw thought, flicking her ears in irritation. She had been so caught up that she had forgotten. Jadepaw sighed. (If you're changing Ashstripe's name to Ashspirit please just pretend like it says that instead lol. Anyways I think this'll be my last post for a bit and maybe I'll get more later today or early tomorrow, depends.)

Quitefacein campQuiteface was looking around messing with his paws nervously as he watched his clanmates he just felt nervous oh the poor tom couldn't help but BE nervous currently he wanted to catch up with patrol but just the feeling of nervousness washed over him making him feel even worse he decided to stay put until they got back he was so zoned out he couldn't even focus his mind with was clouded with thoughts and the nervousness made him wanna claw his ears off but surely he'd be okay he'll wait for them to get back even though he's probably going to get more than just his ears clawed off if he doesn't catch up but he decided to stay still.
he couldn't help but feel bad for getting distracted so easily but atleast it couldn't be to bad for him right? he started to think about and the nervousness eased. he should be fine he was just was overly thinking this whole thing. WRONG. he just became more nervous and began lightly clawing at the dirt trying to get his mind off it.

Lichenpatch, Badgerkit, and FogkitCamp - to Tawnystripe and BeeswipeTiri & Brownie - Lichenpatch nodded, a bit too exhausted to thank the older she-cat again, and plodded off towards the warriors den to eat and rest. He was unsure about Beeswipe, but at least they were in good paws with Tawnystripe.
Within the nursery Fogkit and Badgerkit play fought. Badgerkit had just pinned down her giggling sister's tail when a delicious scent filled her nose. "Prey!" She squealed gleefully, leaping towards the entrance. Fogkit darted after her, the two she-kits halted, however, as they spotted tabby paws through the bushes. Both darted to either side of the entrance, watching with wide eyes from under the roots as Beeswipe entered - a tasty sparrow dangling from his mouth - instead of their father.
At the tom's words about being a fox Fogkit's eyes narrowed and she pushed back onto her haunches, readying a pounce. Badgerkit, too, licked her lips as she eyed the sparrow, taking a step back to get a running start. As Beeswipe's tail swished across the floor Fogkit let out a mighty battle cry, "Get 'em! Take no prisoners!" And then both leapt. Fogkit tumbled right into his tail, all four of her needled paws latching into it to hold the tom down. Badgerkit jumped straight at his face and bit down on the sparrow, her hind legs kicking out against his chest to try and free the bird from his grasp while her front paws pushed against his face.

Ashstripe Patrol Jadepaw + Blue Team Ashstripe shook her head at Jadepaw's answer. Of course, there wasn't much prey, but she'd hoped the apprentice would have found something; she knew she couldn't blame the apprentice, but with blue team's competitiveness, it was frustrating to try and teach a cat that didn't have a similar drive for perfection. She didn't know how to incite excitement either. Ashstripe simply had it innately, as did her other team mates. Well, except for Quietface, but the tom had always been the exception to their group on most every count. The grey she-cat made a point of sticking around and scenting a little more, then nodded. "It looks like the other two scared everything off," Ashstripe said, vocalizing her earlier assumption when no prey scent turned up. "Let's just catch up with them. They can't have gotten too far." Rowanspots' scent, at least, was strong here, and Ashstripe thought she could taste the hints of Foxblaze's scent on the wind twinned with a sour hint of prey-blood. She must have made a kill. Ashstripe's ears pinned against her head, frustration wrinkling her nose as she snapped her jaws shut, biting off the scent of Foxblaze's catch. "Come on then." Ashstripe pushed forward. Perhaps if they caught up, she'd still have time to find her own prey. She could direct them to take the eastern trail --a little longer way to camp, arcing around the other side of the pond, but there were rarely rabbits there. Ashstripe could just imagine what the others would think if she dragged a rabbit home after a border patrol. Just the thought of it made her pelt flush with victory and she sped up, casting a cursory glance at Jadepaw to ensure the apprentice could keep up.

~ Stormbreeze with Tigergleam, Berryeye, and Tumbleblossom (maybe some other cats) in camp ~
Stormbreeze’s whiskers twitched in annoyance as he came to the realization that his meal would not be in peace. Berryeye was now here - that cat must’ve had feathers in his brain, he was so annoying! How that cat managed to become a moonkeeper, Stormbreeze would never know.
The gray spotted tabby then heard Tigergleam’s familiar voice, “Sorry we interrupted your peace, Storm,”
“Whatever - it’s fine.” Stormbreeze murmured, taking another bite out of his mouse. I’d rather not have to hang out with this many cats, but I’ll survive. “So…” Stormbreeze started, trying to figure out something to say. “Errr… what about those SwanClan cats? Taking some our our territory and stuff?” The recent tensions with SwanClan were the first thing that came to Stormbreeze’s mind, and for good reason.
~ Sageheart with Beartuft and Shrikehop in the elders’ den ~
Sageheart’s whiskers twitched in amusement, “You hate those nasty squirrels, don’t you?” The spotted tabby decided it would probably be best and move away from discussing Shrikehop’s injury - the tom seemed to be uncomfortable with talking about it. Oh, how she’d been a mouse-brain to even consider telling him she was looking forward for him to return to patrolling! It probably made him feel even worse, especially with the uncertainty of his recovery.
“Is there anything fun we can still do as a team while you’re stuck with a broken leg?” Sageheart was determinate to cheer Shrikehop up, “Like perhaps a game or something?”

accompanied by: quietface whispersofthedead mentions: beeswipe, tumbleblossom, & berryeye Jumping at Beeswipe's question, Finchflight could only give a quick mew in response. He quickly processed what was said, but it appeared that the tom was preoccupied with other things. The ginger tabby nodded, as if he understood. His green eyes fell on the group of cats that seemed to grow more and more. He could named Tigergleam, Tumbleblossom, and Berryeye.
Scanning the camp, the tom noticed Quietface tearing at the dirt. His ears flicked in interest. He didn't talk to this tom much, but that was a difference of teams more than anything else. Before he lifted a paw, the warrior gave the camp another good look. He determined that no one else from his team seemed to be there. "Interesting, did he get left behind?" he thought to himself.
Padding towards the dark tom, he hoped he wasn't about to make a fool of himself. If he could, he would simply ask the fellow warrior about hunting together. It would be much better than Finchflight breaking the rules of his Clan and sneaking out alone like some other cats. "Hello there, Quietface." he mewed in greeting. coding & icon image by officialrainleafwcf

Oh, thank starclan. Her mother had been distracted by kits. Jumppaw relaxed out of her stiff pose, and devoted herself to re-obtaining that sleepy daze she'd been working on. Sageheart could take as long as she liked - honestly, all day if she liked. With Cricketpaw out, that meant any training would be against Jadepaw, and that was just- no. No thank you. Cricketpaw was amazingly good at hunting, and fighting, and not only was Jumppaw not those things, Jadepaw was another 3 moons older! No thank you, napping sounded far better.
Beeswipe with Tawnystripe, Badgerkit, and Fogkit Owlclan camp @ Brownie , Yacinthe
"Wargh!" Okay, that was- Ow, nope, those claws were sharper than he'd thought- Argh, Starclan, there was a new fuffy bundle headed to his face- He nearly dropped the sparrow as a kit's weight hit it and attached, swinging, and- oof, no, that was a hind paw to the throat, thanks for that- ah, fleabites, the one on his tail was still there. His balance overturned, he tried to stick a paw out and slipped, then threw his weight backwards, trying desperately not to roll onto the kittens.

Quietfacein camp with - finchflight ʀᴀɪɴʟᴇᴀғ 🍁 Quietface jumped not noticing the cat that approached him he stammered to his feet and stopped clawing at the dirt for a second to look up at Finchflight he didn't know what to say the tom stayed silent he was never good at speaking to anyone he was called Quietface for one of many reasons. He finally mustered to say something "Hello there.." His voice was so Quiet he sounded like a mouse. Quietface gulped and quickly looked around him and wondered if he was about to get his ear chewed off for not being with his team he shivered at the thought and his fur prickled up as the anxiety swelled inside of his mind he didn't know if this was just was some friendly cat or an enemy in the making but quiet face couldn't just assume that. He was messing with the dirt again not saying a word to the cat who was in front of him.
Quietface just stayed silent looking for some escape if this cat did want trouble he did get left behind by patrol and boy he was one anxious cat he looked around seeing there was an opening in the clearing but he needed to see what this other cat wanted. Was he just being friendly? Possibly but Quietface was always alert and ready to claw someones ear off if he needed too but he sighed and let his fur flatten down and looked up at the other "I've never spoken to you much .. but is there something you want or need." He hoped he didn't sound snappy he was messing with his paws nervously.

Badgerkit and FogkitNursery - to Beeswipe and TawnystripeTiri & Brownie - Badgerkit persisted until the sparrow tore apart, the kit and her half of the songbird tumbled away across the nursery floor. She went unnoticed by her sister, who continued to climb up onto Beeswipe's back. "To the dark forest with you, fiend!" Fogkit hissed, chomping down on his shoulder a little too roughly. Badger was already about to start digging into her prize when she whipped her head around to her sister, glaring. "Hey, that's not right! Foxes don't go to the dark forest, only cats do!" She turned to tawnystripe, "... Right?"BerryeyeCamp - to Tigergleam, Stormbreeze, and Tumbleblossom𝙵𝚎𝚛𝚛𝚎𝚝𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚙 , little blu ♥ , & 𝚛𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚢 - Berryeye fluffed up his fur at the mention of Swanclan, tail lashing. " Those high and mighty brutes really think they can just steal territory! And now they're hiding 'cause they know we'll claw their pelts off if they actually showed their faces!" He hissed, flexing his claws in and out. "I bet they remember that fight we had a few moons ago! Where I caught them trying to sneak up on us from the other side before they could even pounce!" The brown she-cat hiding in the bushes behind them had tried so hard to sneak up on the rest of his team, but he spotted her just in time to attack first while they fended off the rest of Swanclan's ambush. I may not be as smart as Stormbreeze or as clever as Tigergleam, or even as swift as Beeswipe, but I have my moments! "I'm sure Lightningstar and Tigergleam already have an idea to get it back!" He looked to the older warrior with complete confidence in his assertion.

Beeswipe with Tawnystripe, Badgerkit, and Fogkit Owlclan camp @ Brownie , Yacinthe
"...Ow" He'd considered making a fox noise, but wow, those were some teeth. And he'd really intended to hand the bird over not in bleeding messy clumps. This was, uh, not going fantastically, if he was honest. The little argument about the dark forest brought his attention back to the half-a-sparrow victor, and he grinned. Yes, okay, he wasn't sure what he was doing, and seemed to genuinely be losing to kits. But who could blame him! They had the power of cute on their side! He could barely remember the last time he'd gotten to play with kits - apprentices dipped their paws into living the moonlit life, but kits were a daylight category of clanmate. Even if he was exhausted, and probably making a complete fool out of himself, it was wonderful to see them. If only Fogkit would take her teeth out of him.

Tawnystripe Nursery Beeswipe & Kits Tawnystripe finished up her own sparrow, her whiskers flicking with amusement as she watched the kits' antics. She was pleased that Beeswipe was being careful, allowing Badgerkit to take the sparrow and Dewkit to climb atop him. Though she was glad Beeswipe was taking the brunt of the kits' energy, she took pity on him as he winced when Dewkit dug her fangs into his shoulder and plucked the small molly off him by the scruff, depositing her beside her sister and the bloodied sparrow. She was surprised when Badgerkit brought up the Dark Forest; she would have thought the kits too young to know of such things, but then again kits always heard more than they should. "No cat knows what's in the Dark Forest," Tawnystripe said, "medicine cats can only visit StarClan." She didn't want to scare them with the rumors that, long ago, cats from the Dark Forest could walk in the minds of evil cats, wreaking havoc on the living world. After all, that had been a long, long time ago, if it wasn't just an elders' tale made up to scare apprentices. "It's not polite to talk about the Dark Forest. We leave the stars to medicine cats," she said gently, knowing that they would ask their mother about it later. Tawnystripe licked a tuft of fur flat on Badgerkit's head. "Eat first, then Beeswipe will play with you." She looked over at the Moonkeeper with a smile.

Fogkit pouted from atop Beeswipe's back, "Aw, okay..." She grumbled as she slid back down to the ground. I totally won, though. She sat waiting, looking expectantly at Beeswipe for her half of the sparrow.

"Your victory prize," Beeswipe said dramatically, getting to his feet just to kneel down at Fogkit's paws. "Such good coordination between you two! You'll be ready to take on foxes in no time, with just a little bit of growing. In a team, you can do anything." That sounded like the sort of responsible message he should be saying, right? He looked quickly at Tawnystripe for confirmation. "And once you're done with your sparrow, we can play foxes again."

Tawnystripe Nursery Beeswipe and Kits Tawnystripe was glad she had Beeswipe to help. He was gentle with the kits and patient, which is all she could really ask for, and kept them busy so she could better watch the nursery's entrance -- a habit she found comfortable. Tawnystripe let her tail flick over her paws as she watched Beestripe's acting, nodding encouragingly when he looked her way. Teams; she wished these kits had the opportunity to bond with others of their age. Jumppaw had been in the nursery for a moon with them, but she'd left before they were old enough to really play. It was now that they'd need other peers that were not littermates to learn to work together with and care for, to discover that blood wasn't the only thread connecting OwlClan's cats. How quickly they grew. Soon these kits would be apprentices, training with Jumppaw. In a blink they'd be warriors, assigned their own team. Perhaps one would be added to hers. It seemed only yesterday that Fogkit was only a wisp of fur following Jumppaw, then Jumpkit, around the nursery, too young to follow outside for the rougher games of mossball with Cricketkit. She shook her head slightly at the memory. "Beeswipe does make for a good fox," Tawnystripe encouraged. "Just remember, we don't use claws during practice fights between Clanmates," she reminded, looking to Fogkit first, then to Badgerkit. Hopefully a gentle warning would be enough to keep them in line. The kits' small paws wouldn't do much damage, but she knew from experience that the little cuts still stung like beestings, and learning to control their claws was important before apprenticeship; they wouldn't be given second chances then, so it was better that they try to curb that impulse in nursery games. It was something every kit struggled with, and though she knew they wouldn't get it right immediately, the constant, gentle reminders would sink in over time.

»»————- ♦ ————-«« Jadepaw Camp Open (mentions of Ashstripe)
Jadepaw sighed. She wasn't the best apprentice, she gave her mentor trouble often, she just didn't understand the Blue Team! What were they always bickering about. Jadepaw picked up the pace and followed Ashstripe towards the rest of the patrol where she could catch up to her mentor. What a nightmare.
Maybe one day I'll focus more.
--------------------------------------------------
Clawing at the moss on the ground, Jadepaw rolled onto her back and sighed. She hoped that someone would talk to her. It was strange, really. Wishing someone would talk to you but then never making an attempt to start one herself. It was part of her stubborn nature.
A small flower had bloomed nearby, a dandelion, if Jadepaw remembered correctly. She had never been good with plants, that was a medicine cat thing, something Jadepaw could never be.
Jadepaw got to her paws and looked around camp, some cats were out on patrol, others not.
"Maybe I could go hunting," Jadepaw meowed under her breath. She wasn't allowed to leave camp without her mentor, but what else was she supposed to do? Go bother Rowanspots to go hunting with her? (Back from the void)

Trying to appear friendly, Finchflight loosened up before he spoke. "I just saw you were by yourself. It didn't come to mind that Quietface would be uncomfortable with the ginger tom approaching him like this.
In fact, he felt a pang of guilt, as Quietface was right. They never spoke much before. He felt a pang of guilt as he came to the realization that Quietface was right. They barely spoke before, and this was Finchflight's way to escape the camp.
"I-I know it's weird to ask, but you were by yourself and I thought you may have wanted company. I mean, yeah.." the warrior flustered. Now he felt even more guilty. Oakengaze's ear flickered in irritation as she tried, in vain, to regain the sleep slowly slipping through her claws. She recurled in her nest, rearranged her tail over her face, kneaded the moss into a more acceptable shape - but alas, the sun was just barely peeking in and her paws were restless.
Usually the moonkeeper was very good about getting her sleep. She had a strict regime she maintained at all times, knowing she was to rise at sunset and be at peak condition throughout the night. Usually, lounging around napping in the sun was easy, like she was made for it. But today, even the faintest buzz of a fly irritated her enough to consciousness.
Maybe I just need a snack, she thought as she reluctantly trudged outside, squinting in the sun. A sip of water. A nice midday jog.
As she headed for the prey pile, she noticed Jadepaw looking just as restless as she felt. "Good -" Another squint at the sun - "- morning to you, Jadepaw. A fine day we're having." Alright, small talk out of the way - "You're looking restless. Looking for something to do?"

chiveseed - with *open* ->mentions of green team in the warriors’ den @/tag
The sky was dark with no moon out. It was just the stars twinkling in the sky. It was oddly comforting. This was nothing new. As a Moonkeeper, Chiveseed had to go on patrol in the dark for her Clanmates. The sense of ease ended as soon as the she-cat scented a snake nearby. Not even one, but multiple actually.
But snakes aren’t in groups, and they’re so rare to find here. Just my luck, I guess. Chiveseed couldn’t fight a group of snakes alone. It was too dangerous. The only option left was to call for her teammates.
“Sleetpuddle? Brambleshade? Oakengaze? Where are you all?” she yowled. But nobody came to her. What could she do, all alone? Before anything could happen to her, she felt a bright light sweep her away. It all made sense now, it was a dream, of course.
What a strange dream, she thought. The marbled tabby noticed moss all over the den. Must be mine, I should really clean that up…
sleetpuddle - with *open* ->mentions of chiveseed at shallow pool @/tag
Sleetpuddle found himself out at Shallow Pool. He was usually never awake during the day, since he was a Moonkeeper. He was to wake at sunset and patrol during the night. However, thanks to Chiveseed making a bunch of noise, he was here now. There was nothing to do, at least for him. He would have to go back to sleep soon because there was no way he was going to be all droopy on patrol.
As he sipped from the pool, he couldn’t help but think about the recent border dispute with SwanClan. Just Blue Team and their shenanigans, at least Pink Team was there to keep the peace. The orange tabby felt grateful that he wasn’t there to watch everything go down. He preferred hearing the gossip instead. As soon as he was finished drinking, he quickly headed back to camp. Perhaps he could deal with Chiveseed’s noise if that meant he wouldn’t have to be sitting around in camp all day waiting for the sun to set.

Brambleshade: Warrior Den with Chivaseed
Brambleshade, who was laying in his nest turns his attention to Chiveseed. "Are you all right?" He asked tilting his head to the side. Seemed like Chiveseed was having some kind of nightmare. He had bits of moss on his fur, but didn't really notice it. Brambleshade didn't get many nightmares only strange ones.
"It's all right by the way, whatever you were up against is gone now." He said hoping to calm his clanmate down. I hope it wasn't a dream about the Swanclan cats. Thankfully, no blood was shed over that dispute but the next time they might not be so lucky. Amberfire would not have held back that's for sure.

FOXBLAZE warriors' den / with chiveseed & brambleshade Foxblaze was quiet and peaceful for once, curled comfortably into her nest, though her forehead was still wrinkled. Her ears twitched and her paws jerked slightly as she whirled and slashed at her SwanClan opponent in her dream. She hooked her claws into the enemy's throat and triumph surged through her veins --
And then something slapped her across the face.
Foxblaze startled awake with a sleep-garbled snarl. She blinked rapidly as her assailant came into focus less than a pawstep in front of her face. It was a tail. Chiveseed's tail, to be specific. She glanced over and saw the other molly moving in her sleep. She must be dreaming as well. Foxblaze narrowed her eyes, contemplating going back to her own dreams. She was beginning to doze off again when something landed in her fur. The dark ginger molly glared down at her coat, which was littered with scraps of moss, then at her denmate. She grumbled and shifted out of range. After a few minutes, her breathing slowed and her eyes drifted shut.
Then a faint yowl jolted her awake once more. Chiveseed seemed to be calling out to her Clanmates in her sleep, though Foxblaze couldn't decipher the exact names. Across from them, Brambleshade was already awake and watching the affair. Snapping, Foxblaze hissed, "For StarClan's sake, could you not???"

Quietface in clap w/ ʀᴀɪɴʟᴇᴀғ 🍁 (finchflight)
Quietface sighed and relized he had nothing to worry about with this tom "..That would be nice my team did leave me behind since i got distracted which is my fault but .. going hunting would be nice!" Quietface tried to seem happy but all that was in the cats mind was guilt its clawing at him eating at him he hates it he felt so pathetic not going on most patrols and even then he's not a great hunter with his one good eye he shifted around nervously hoping that wouldn't be a problem for that cat infront of him. He swallowed and looked up at him the cat "I can atleast make up not being with them if i do go hunting!" "and if i catch anything good with my stupid eye..." he mummered to himself he was hoping the other cat would not hear the downtalk to himself he never thought of himself to be a good warrior.

A hiss snapped Chiveseed from her moment of realization. It was none other than Foxblaze, who was trying to sleep.
“Sorry!” Chiveseed yowled. The marbled tabby must’ve been moving in her sleep. The moss all over the den had already explained it well enough. Turning around, she saw her fellow teammate, Brambleshade.
“I’m alright, it was just a nightmare.” she meowed to the light brown tabby. She didn’t feel like explaining what it was exactly. Thinking about it any longer only made her shiver in fear.
Standing up, she went ahead and picked up the moss all over the den. I could go out, but it’s best if I just stay. Grabbing the moss, she kneaded a nest for herself. It wasn’t the best, but it would do for now. She could always make one later. Curling up into a ball, she could only stare up above and attempt to fall asleep. Her nightmare felt so odd, and eerily real. She could only dread the thought of falling asleep after that.

FOXBLAZE owlclan camp / with shrikehop; mentions chiveseed Foxblaze looked away, ears twitching, as Chiveseed explained the cause of her restlessness: a nightmare. Bad dreams were not something that could be controlled. She felt a pang of guilt for losing her temper with the other warrior. "Yeah, well. Just. Try not to do it again," she grumbled, then added in a lame undertone, "sorry."
By that time, Foxblaze was already too much awake to fall back to sleep again, so she huffed and heaved herself to her paws. Tiredness dragged at her limbs as she stepped out of her nest and headed for the den entrance. She ducked her head and slipped into cool grey light of dawn.
Now what? She doubted many of her teammates were up yet, and she couldn't leave camp without them. She scanned the quiet clearing. Her eyes came to rest on the elders' den. I could visit Shrikehop. Of course, he might not be awake yet, either. It had been awhile since she'd checked in on her brother. She scuffed one paw through the grass, guilt returning. She should've been more attentive. Her siblings had been her original team, after all; she loved them, even if she wasn't good at showing it.
Foxblaze went on quiet paws to the elders den, peering into the shadows of the thicket for a brown tabby pelt. "Shrikehop?" She whispered.

Tawnystripe Camp Molewhisker Tawnystripe used her claw to thread a tendril of bramble through the back of the apprentice's den. The pink team had pulled camp duties that morning, which gave Tawnystripe plenty of time to watch over the camp for Molewhisker's distinctive swirl of fur. She didn't see him yet, black team must still be out. She yelped as a thorn caught the side of her paw, dragging through the fur to scrape her; it was shallow, but stung . Tawnystripe glared at the strand for a heartbeat before adding it to the wall of the den, careful to hook her claws around it rather than touch her paw-pads to the thorny vine. At least the apprentices will be safe with the added thorns, she assured herself, though she curled a lip at the pile of bramble tendrils remaining, knowing that she'd have several more stinging cuts before noon.

The black tom watched Foxblaze disappear into the elder's den. This early, the warrior must be visiting her brother, Shrikehop, who was recovering from his... unfortunate encounter with a tree. Not even a SwanClan patrol. Rainhowl picked a scrap of moss from his fur; he had thought he had gotten it all, and though it was only a scrap of moss, he curled his lip as if it were as vile as mouse bile. He aught to check in on the young tom sometime. For some reason Rainhowl could never understand, his son had chosen Shrikehop as a friend and so he should probably give his well-wishes as a courtesy. Rainhowl twitched his ears, unable to keep completely still as he contemplated if he was already too late for a polite visit, and how he could tactfully give his regards. Wouldn't that Beartuft befriended Finchflight instead, then he would not have such problems set in front of his own paws. At least one of Tawnystripe's litter had a good head on his shoulders; Rainhowl had no doubts that Finchflight, at least, would become a respectable warrior one day. It was too early to be worrying, and Rainhowl wasn't so crude as to drop in while Shrikehop's family was visiting, so he flicked his tail and the thought away for now, standing with a stretch. A hunt would do him good, he thought, and with the increasing patrols towards the SwanClan border, he bet the tree graveyard on the opposite end of the territory would be teeming with prey. The border patrols haven't scented any foxes there either, which was almost unusual for the season; newleaf tended to attreact foxes almost as much as mice to the twoleg-made clearing. Since Lightningstar sometimes remained in camp in case of emergencies, black team rarely visited the somewhat dangerous territory in newleaf as they were only three strong --two, since Cherryshine's death-- and it would be nice to hunt there again. Perhaps Lightningstar would join them this time, even with the hostilities with SwanClan keeping him in camp more and more often. Rainhowl respected the tom's dedication to OwlClan's well being, but he also chafed against Lightningstar's reluctance to be a part of his team. As any OwlClan cat knows, a cat without a team cuts a claw into his own paw.

Molewhisker accompanied by Tawnystripe | OwlClan camp After a round of hunting with his team, Molewhisker padded back into camp with a robin hanging from his jaws. Its plumage was starting to bother the tom as its feathers were sticking into his eyesight. So much for a decent hunt, he thought, rather annoyed. Molewhisker silently reminded himself that this robin was a meal for a clanmate of his. Then, a little thought popped into his head: he could share the robin with Tawnystripe, if she was up. The tom's throat rumbled at the idea as he reached the fresh kill pile. He gently set the robin down before glancing around. His mate's team must have been on camping duties, otherwise he would have ran into her in the forest.
The brown classic tabby decided to check each and every den for her, hoping she wouldn't be too busy for him. Molewhisker dashed past the warriors den when he suddenly heard a yelp. It must've not been far from him, considering he had passed the warriors den. The apprentices' den? he wondered, sticking his head into the smaller den for the younger cats.
"Anyone in here? I heard a yelp," he meowed into the bramble den. Could it be a prank from the apprentices? They were foolish at times. "Maybe I'm hearing things, but if it's a prank, don't let any cat know I've fallen for it!"

Tawnystripe Camp Molewhisker "Anyone in here?" Tawnystripe startled when she heard a voice from only a few tail-lengths away, and quickly recognized it as Molewhisker's. She had finished with the nearer side of the apprentices' den and had moved to the back, out of view of the camp entrance; she must have not noticed black team's return. "I heard a yelp." The tortoiseshell she-cat dropped the bramble she held in her claw, leaving it half-threaded into the wall, and trotted around the side of the apprentice's den to find Molewhisker's head inside, his shoulders too wide to comfortably fit through the narrow entrance made for much smaller cats. Tawnystripe's whiskers twitched at the sight and she playfully swatted at his tail. "It was me, featherbrain," she teased, "the apprentices are all out so we could fix the den. There's more thorns in the walls than the berry patch now." Or at least it had felt like it to her paws, which were criss-crossed with the tiny scrapes no matter how careful she had been with the bramble stems. She could only imagine what it was like for the team that had to harvest and carry them all the way to camp! "I've been waiting for you."
