Hm... Grace didn't exactly know how to answer. She'd try and think happy thoughts instead on dwelling on what the heck had happened to her, but sometimes it didn't work that well and she'd worry herself to death over the two laying in beds across from her. But she blinked once anyways. She was sure she could hold her ground for now. At least that is what she hoped she could do.

"Good, you're very brave," The Doctor informed, patting her arm before getting up and disappearing out the door. He headed down the corridor, into the console room, and started the ship up, punching in coordinates as he hummed to himself. He tried to make the trip as fast as possible, actually trying to operate the break correctly for once before he landed right outside the Diner. He pulled his jacket off one of the banisters, straightened it out, and headed out the door, heading straight to the front of the home of the Killjoys and rapping on the dusty glass door with his fingers. "Hey boys!" he called.

The Killjoys weren't really doing much, Party Poison taking a short catnap on one of the sofas while the others were spread around the place doing who knows what. Earlier that day was another broadcast made by Dr. Death Defying, telling the events of what had happened that week. He had barely glossed over everything, trying to keep it vague as to not have unwanted attention given to the YoungBloods. They were already gaining recognition and fame for breathing the same air as the Fabulous Killjoys, and with what had happened they really didn't need anymore attention than what they have now.
Suddenly, a knock from the door startled Poison out of his sleep, him groaning and shouting an "I'll get it!" before anyone else could. He stood up and stretched a little bit, putting on his jacket (which had previously been around his waist) and looking up to see- "Doctor!" He said with a smile, quickly running his hands in an attempt to tame his messy red bedhead as he rushed over to the door, opening it and smiling at the Doctor. "Yeah?" He asked, a part of his mind vaguely wondering if something has gone wrong. But he figured that if something did indeed go wrong, the Doctor would look at least somewhat sad. But he looked mildly surprised, so that was out of the question.

"Grace is awake, mostly immobile, but she can blink yes and no and move her head. I figured you'd want to see her," The Doctor said, smiling just a bit awkwardly before turning and heading back through the TARDIS doors. Party Poison could rile the boys, and he could head back to see how Grace was doing, make sure that she wasn't scared. Fear wasn't fun when you couldn't move your limbs.' So, he climbed the staircase, pulling out his phone to text Martha as he did. "Grace is up. Immobile, but she's comprehending speech, and smiling." He tucked his phone back into his pocket as he entered the hall, walking his way over to the infirmary door at a clipped pace, shouldering his way in. "Grace," he called softly, "I'm back. Your friend will be here soon." He headed to her beside, sitting down again with a small smile.

Party Poison's mouth turned upwards into much more than just a smile, much more than just a grin, he was beaming with happiness as his hazel eyes sparkled to match his wide smile. The back of his mind, the part that was always doubting something, was questioning if this was real or not. But why would the Doctor lie about this? What did he have to gain from it? Those questions squashed the doubting part of his head out of existence for now as Poison found himself yelling at the others to come here, to which they did. But with their rayguns drawn at their hips as a habit. But as Poison told them what had happened, they had smiles growing their faces as well.
They all followed the Doctor out of the Diner, Poison and Kobra Kid setting a burst of speed to pull ahead of Jet Star and Dr. Benzedrine and come to a screeching halt outside the infirmary room. Poison let out a gasp as he saw Grace's eyes latch onto him, and her previous smile grow even wider than it had before. "Grace!" The brothers both exclaimed, both mirroring each other as they ran in and slid on the ground next to Grace's bed. Grace was smiling as wide as she could when she saw her friends, the others coming in a couple moments later and also running in and sitting down next to Grace's bed.
"We missed you!" Jet said, ruffling her hair with a wide grin on his face. He didn't really know what to say, he could only imagine what it would be like to have Fun Ghoul wake up on them. Grace just grinned back up at him, her brown eyes twinkling with relief and pure glee as her friends crowded around her. It wasn't like she minded, she had missed them as well.

The Doctor smiled softly as the all crowded around. He didn't even bark at them as they jostled him to get to her. They deserved to see her, be happy, and they had missed her. He didn't even want to think of the madhouse that his TARDIS was going to turn into when Fun Ghoul woke up, but no, this was about Grace right now, even as their other friends still slept. "I'll be back," he said after a moment, awkwardly standing up and shimmying his way out from between the throng of men, "I have to take this thing back to my base so that I can get Martha to take a look at Grace." And with that, he turned, heading back out of the room and to the console, starting the ship up, and with a bit of a bump, landing. He didn't even have to go out and find Martha; she walked right in the door with a smile, gave him a quick, sort of stiff hug, and then headed up the stairs and towards the infirmary.

Dr. Benzedrine was the most awkward of them all, not really knowing Grace but happy that the Killjoys were happy anyways as he waved a goodbye to the Doctor. He was glad to see Grace was in good shape and gleeful, and glad to see those huge smiles on the other Zonerunner's faces. Even Kobra Kid had one! But his gaze eventually made their way over from the little rebel to his fellow YoungBlood laying on the bed next to Grace's. He wondered when he was going to wake up, and if it was going to be soon based upon this happening. He hoped it would be soon, and that Card Trick would come out in roughly the same shape that Grace was in. Although, Benzedrine might actually crush the YoungBlood's middle when he wakes up because Benzedrine is going to be hugging him so much. He had missed that little guy.
Benzedrine tore his eyes off of his friend and looked back over at Grace, to find her looking back up at him with a knowing look on her face. Benzedrine smiled back down at her and tried not to dwell on what had happened to Trick.

Martha Jones entered not a moment later, hair pulled into a tight ponytail and medical bag swinging in her hand. "Hello, boys, and Grace," she greeted, beginning to nudge her way through them like she was parting the Red Sea, until she was standing directly over the young girl, "it's good to see you're awake. I'm Doctor Jones." She waggled her eyebrows at the little girl with a closed-mouth smile. The Doctor entered the room again, calling out to Martha, "You can say hi to all of them, but not me?" "I see you all the time. Don't be a pest," Martha mumbled, shooting him a playful glance before looking back down to Grace, "I'm just going to check your reflexes and vitals, okay?"

Grace removed her eyes from the YoungBlood and focused back in on this Doctor Jones. She looked like a nice lady, and Grace just smiled back at her. The Killjoys, despite their slight reluctance to, all moved out of the way to let Dr. Jones do her thing.

"Alright," Martha began, taking one of those devices you knocked against people's knees and elbows to see if you'd get a reflex out of her bag. She knocked it against both of the girl's knees, one of them bouncing ever so slightly, the one only twitching. "Grace, can you feel it when I do that?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at the girl, "blink once for yes, twice for no."

Grace blinked once as she felt the little thing-y tap her knees, and found herself smiling even more as she watched her legs seemingly move on their own. What did it mean? She wondered slightly, and whatever it was she hoped it meant something good. Having been only exposed to the types of medicine that the BL/Ind manufacture and distribute he had limited knowledge of hospitals and medicine, so she didn't know what the nice lady was doing really.

"Good," Martha replied, gently manipulating each of Grace's elbows to move a bit, before slipping her fingertips under the girl's own and asking, "can you push down on my fingers for me," Grace?"

Grace narrowed her eyes in concentration as she tried to work her fingers, but found them hard to budge. Quite hard to budge. But with determination to move something today, she screwed her eyes shut and let out a gasp of exhilaration as her fingers squeezed around Dr. Jones' hand.

"Good girl," Martha praised softly, using her free hand to scribble something before gently pulling her fingers free, checking Grace's pupils, and then standing back. "As far as I can see," she began, turning more to the Killjoys and lowering her voice, "Grace needs rest and time to grow strong again. Her muscles are weak from not being used, and with the added effects of wearing one of those masks in the first place, it's going to take her a bit to be up and around again. And excuse me if this is blunt, but I'm not sure you four can provide the safety and stability she's going to need for the next couple of months."

"Well of course." They understood that very well. Party Poison knew that all they were capable of dealing with was cuts and scrapes and sometimes broken bones, and they usually left ones who had been affected by the Drac masks or shot for dead because they didn't know how to deal with those types of injuries and even if they did they didn't have the medical supplies. They were simply non-existent anywhere outside of Battery City. "Even bandages are hard to find, so I know I have no problem-" Kind of a lie. Maybe because Poison was slightly protective. Oh well. "-with leaving her here." The other rebels nodded in agreement, Grace looking at them with a slightly nervous expression on her face. She had strangely missed the Zones as well, she never thought she would ever, but in here it was nice and cool and most likely safe from those scary Dracs. Grace knew she would be fine in here. Hopefully.

Martha gave a small nod. "I'm sure that The Doctor won't mind watching her, will you?" She looked to the Time Lord, who just kind of shrugged. She considered that a yes. "And I'm sure he'll let you visit, too." The Time Lord bored to that, looking around the four men.

"He better." Party Poison said with a smirk, setting his hands on his hips as he seemed to emanate the sassiness he was legendary for. Poison was not going to take anyone's crap with this. Grace smiled widely, seeing Poison as his most familiar. That might not make that much sense, but when Poison was Sassy Poison™ that was what was usually most recognized. Kobra Kid smirked at his older brother's behaviour, having quite a bit of sass himself, and gave the Doctor a raised eyebrow as his smirk still played on his lips.

"Of course you can visit," The Doctor scoffed, "I'll take good care of her." He crossed his arm over his chest, frowning immensely, and glancing down at Martha as she threw an arm over his thin shoulders. "I can confirm," Martha joked, "he's better with kids than he lets on." The Doctor mumbled something, but it sounded like an agreeable mumble.

(excuse the weird tangents in my replies i'm just kinda in that spot rn)
"Again, you better." This time it was Kobra Kid speaking to the Doctor, placing his hand on his hip and looking at Grace with a smirk. She loved seeing him even somewhat smile, and this was no exception. if they didn't take good care of her, and Card Trick, and Fun Ghoul, they'd all be ghosted by morning. That somewhat morbid thought echoed through Kobra's mind, him letting out a barely audible "hmph" as it did so.

Mmm, The Doctor heard that. No, felt that, the intonation behind his words. They'd all be ghosted by morning. The old Time Lord said nothing as he simply dipped his curly head and said, "Again, I will. Martha will, as will any of my other friends and associates. Haven't f*cked anything up so far." He gave a wry (pissy) smile at that, glancing between the four and once again wishing that they would go, leave, let him be with Grace and people he could actually stand (mainly because two of them were catatonic, but that was besides the point).

(wut kobra didn't say that xD but it's ok i'll go with it)
"Just making sure." Kobra Kid said, drawing out the 'u' as he shot a smirk at the Doctor as he noticed the rather pissy smile shot back at the Killjoy. Party Poison nudged his brother, noticing that they'd probably should be gone by now. By seemingly telepathy between the siblings, Kobra understood this and shook his head and let out a laugh. "We'll go." Kobra whispered, reaching down to ruffle Grace's hair a little bit and (albiet reluctantly) turned heel and made his exit. Poison and Jet Star did the same as the younger, both shooting smiles (and Poison throwing a lingering look at the raven haired Killjoy laying in a (probably) comatose state) at Grace as they left the room. Dr. Benzedrine was last, remaining only a little bit longer to swallow the slight lump in his throat down at this and eventually make his way out of the infirmary and onto the Zones.

The Doctor watched them go, before equating down next to Grace with a sigh and asking gently, raising one eyebrow, "Do you want to go to a comfier room?" He knew the answer would be yes. The infirmary smelled like antibacterial wipes and just faintly of blood. It was even annoying to him, who'd been around long enough to grow to somewhat ignore the unpleasant smells that came with a hospital setting. There were plenty of spare beds in the TARDIS, since he and Clara were the only ones who actively stayed in it, and Grace deserved a nice place to rest.

Grace, assuming that they were still using the blinking system, blinked once for yes. It smelled weird in here, and was honestly giving the young rebel a moderate case of the creeps. A little bit too bright and a little bit too white in here for Grace. But she was okay with staying in this room if she had to.

"Alright," The Doctor said, gently slipping his arms underneath of her and picking her up, grunting slightly as his not-so-young-anymore back twanged, but he smiled and said, "let's go. I'm sure the TARDIS will fix up a room for you." And with that, he turned and walked out of the room, talking as he went. "I haven't had a kid stay in here forever, not since my granddaughter did. Well, I suppose there was Adric, but he was a bit older than you. So, forgive me if I don't know what you like to do. What do kids like to do? Play video games and eat chicken nuggets? Well, probably not you. Have you ever played video games? Probably not. Do you want to learn how?" He glanced down at her, cocking an eyebrow as he awaited a blink in response.

Video games? Grace furrowed her eyebrows. She's heard of them, she knows that some other rebel groups have a few laying around (covered in a mountain of dust and sand particles she presumes), but has never really gotten the chance to play some. She's also heard names like Atari and Nintendo thrown around in conversation once or twice, and from what she can put together those were video game companies from Before. And she's heard good things about them, so out of curiosity Grace blinked once, although slowly and with caution.

"They'll help you start moving again," The Doctor informed, "your hands at least." As he spoke, he got to a door, pausing, and nudging it open. Inside was a room that was definitely for a kid, but also for Grace, at least in her current state. The bed was low to the ground, a TV with an Xbox mounted in front of it, a couple of bookshelves, a desk, toys... basically, anything a child could want, but it was also accommodating. The Doctor knew he'd find clothes for her if he looked in the drawers. So, he set her down on the bed, propping her up with some pillows and sitting criss-cross on the floor, gently taking one of her hands and asking, "So, speaking of hands, can you move them a bit?"

Grace kept her eyebrows in their furrowed position as she focused on her frozen fingers, trying to get them to move more than just a twitch of her thumbs. She eventually did get her wrists and other fingers to move more than a twitch with enough determination and a slight dash of annoyance at her body for not working correctly as it should, but it hurt slightly to move them more than just a couple movements. Grace guessed it was from disuse. But she blinked once anyways.

"Good job," The Doctor praised, another thin-lipped smile drawing across his pale face as he leaned, taking up a controller in his hand, switching the TV on, and then turning on the Xbox. The menu popped up, his profile (pssh, older guys could still play), and he selected the game loaded in. Call of Duty, of course, very him. He figured it wouldn't faze Grace too much though. "Wanna see something cool?"

Grace's eyes widened in surprise as what seemingly was a TV lit up with colour, the logos swirling around on the screen and amazing Grace (ayy) in the process. She thought this was the thing that was cool as she let out a breath she didn't know she had been holding and blinked once. This was... almost unexplainably awesome to see. Grace was excited to see what was next as the Doctor clicked on a game called... Call Of Duty? Grace couldn't read too well, for one not really having a need for the skill and two not having proper education, but she knew enough to make out those words.

The Doctor sat back against the nightstand as he waited for it to load. "It's kinda violent, but I'm guessing you don't mind? It's probably nothing like what you have to see everyday anyways, so you should be fine, yeah?" Yeah, he figured. Either that, or he'd scare her. He'd never said that he'd been a good parent.
