Ripplefur - Garden of Herbs - Minnowcloud"Well, as long as we're being mindful of the herbs I don't see why not," Ripplefur agreed with a smile. "Any other day I would prefer the meadow but I bet it's even warmer there than here." With a flick of her tail she quickly excused herself to bury her thrush and, like Minnowcloud, put a clawmark on the spot. She then padded back to her fellow warrior. "Well, it's what we live for, isn't it?" she purred. "But yes, I've always loved to hunt and keep our clan safe. And hey, gotta make up for my little attitude problem back when I was still an apprentice." She said the last part with a chuckle. Just because she took being a warrior seriously didn't mean she was above joking every now and then. "Alright, let's see what we can find here today." Rainsong - Forest - CloudsightRainsong gave a soft rumble and nodded. Seeing Cloudsight being somewhat nervous didn't surprise him. He supposed most cats were worried about the heat. "It's concerning, isn't it?" he meowed after a while. "This isn't our first overly hot greenleaf but I don't remember it being this bad before. I just wish we know how long it will last."
Murkypaw - Camp - AzaleapawMurkypaw narrowed his eyes at that. He had expected to be relieved upon hearing that there hadn't been a sign from Starclan but now it made him feel even more uneasy. Sure, there hadn't been a warning but no sign also meant everyone would feel a lot more uncertain. At the mention of the herbs he glanced around camp. He didn't see Cloudsight anywhere but assumed that the medicine cat had gone out to check on his herbs. "Looks like Cloudsight is worried about that too," he said. Murkypaw had never had much interest in herbs but he did understand their importance. "If they do dry up we have to be even more careful out there. Last thing we need is a bunch of sick or injured cats if there aren't enough herbs to treat them."
Shoalpaw - Camp - Crestfoot Shoalpaw sat outside the apprentices' den, having found a shady spot. For a while she just watched her clanmates. She saw Azaleapaw and Murkypaw talking about something but didn't really want to join them. She'd rather hunt or practice some moves. But even she felt it wasn't as much fun in this heat. With a sigh she got to her paws and padded over to Crestfoot. She meowed a greeting and sat down next to him. "So... anything you want me to do today?" It was too bad that it wasn't her turn to get fresh bedding for the elders, queens and kits today. Sure, it was her least favorite task but when the sunlight was this harsh she welcomed any chance to run through the forest or splash in the water at the beach, even if it was just to collect moss or seaweed. "Maybe hunt for the clan or train with one of the other apprentices? Or make sure that I don't forget how to swim?" she added with a small grin. Of course she knew that wouldn't be necessary but hey, who could blame her, or any cat, for preferring the cool water over most of the other places during this annoyingly hot greenleaf?

Fawnkit-The Nursery-
Fawnkit was sitting just outside of the nursery and plucking at some of the dry grass. She released a sigh of boredom, it was hot today and there was nothing fun to do. Her brother Frostkit was asleep and her mother Dawnshore had warned Fawnkit not to wake him. It wasn't fair that Frostkit could sleep like a badger for so long, if only he'd just wake up faster. At least by the time her brother woke up the apprentices would be back from training and could show her a few cool moves.

Icymist with Brambleheart - Forest JasmineduskIcymist looked over at Brambleheart. "Um..." Icymist paused and looked around. "Maybe bury it here?" She dug up at some of the dirt and grass beneath her paws. Icymist looked around and sniffed the air, that's when she smelt it. Mouse. Icymist got into a hunting crouch and stalked up on the mouse. The pounced and the mouse darted away, but Icymist was too fast, she struck down on the mouse and caught it with a swift blow. Azaleapaw with Murkypaw - Camp PineclawAzaleapaw nodded. "If the herbs dry up we can't treat anyone," she meowed. "And If we can't treat anyone, that means cats might die," Azaleapaw frowned. The thing she was the most worried about was the Moonfall, what if it dried up? What would the Clan do without any connection to StarClan? Lynxpaw - Apprentice's Den - OPENLynxpaw lay down in the apprentice's den, heat sank into her fluffy silver pelt, Lynxpaw sighed. Was there anything she could do? Lynxpaw didn't easily get bored, she was always having fun. Hailflurry had cut her training short today due to the heat, she understood that it was hard to fight with the exhausting heat, but she wanted to train! Maybe Azaleapaw and Cloudsight needed help with herbs? Or maybe Dawnshore needed help in the nursery? Lynxpaw had no clue. Lynxpaw hadn't been asked to be on any patrols either, she sighed. Hailflurry - The Meadow - OPENHailflurry sat in the tall grasses of the meadow, feeling the heat on his white-and-brown fur. It was peaceful. I hope Lynxpaw isn't too mad about her training being cut short. He frowned. I'm sure she doesn't mind...

Fernkit-Outside the apprentices denFernkit decided to walk to finally walk to the apprentices den to see if any of the apprentices had returned yet. Lynxpaw with Fernkit - Outside the Apprentice's DenMidnightcacoon loves Sunbeam Lynxpaw blinked as she saw a light brown tabby she-cat at the entrance of the apprentice's den. She recognized this as Fernkit, one of Dawnshore's kits. "Hello!" Lynxpaw greeted, getting up from her nest and moving towards the kit. "How are you?" Lynxpaw felt happy to finally have someone to talk to. Did Dawnshore let Fernkit go outside by herself?(Perfectly fine!)

Fernkit-Outside of the Apprentice's Den-Lynxpaw*•.¸♡𝘥𝘢𝘸𝘯𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘦♡¸.•*Fernkit gave a long sigh before laying down on the ground. She had her cheeks puffed up, making her look very upset and annoyed. "I'm horrible. Frostkit is deciding to sleep the day away while I have to just be bored outside watching the dust fly by! I'm tired of always having to wait for him to wake up, it's not fair." She gave a huff of annoyance. "Plus it's really hot outside, so Dawnshore says that I have to stay in the shade." Fernkit glanced up at Lynxpaw, "Since you're not training, can you play something with me? I've been getting really good at hiding. Dawnshore said Frostkit had to look for over 10 minutes last night until he finally found me."

"I'd love to play with you," she added on. "Hide and seek, I suppose?" Lynxpaw was never good at hide and seek as a kit, but she figured she could use something to do, and Fernkit wanted to do it. "Is that what you wanted to do?"

Fernkit-Hiding-Lynxpaw*•.¸♡𝘥𝘢𝘸𝘯𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘦♡¸.•*"That sounds like a great idea! You count to 30 and I hide, ok?" Fernkit leaped up to her paws, an exited purr escaped her. "If Frostkit comes out, he can play too. He'll have to be a finder though." Fernkit then quickly dashed away to look for a good place to hide. She began to scan some bushes just outside of the Nursery, as she was looking for the perfect one to hide in. Soon she found a bush near some rocks and decided to roll into a ball to try and look like a stone. Fernkit just hoped she could stay still for long enough so that Lynxpaw would have a hard time finding her.

She wondered, looking around the clearing. Lynxpaw headed towards the warrior's den. She peeked around, a few warriors here-and-there, but no sigh of Fernkit. Lynxpaw turned around, where else would Fernkit hide? The medicine den?

"I could try tell you," he said. With the Moonfall dried up he couldn't contact Starclan or even just his mentor. He didn't know why the drought was happening there hadn't even been a prior warning from Starclan that this would happen. "It hopefully will end..." The tom perked up a bit as he got closer to the Garden of Herbs.
Crestfoot-Camp-Shoalpaw
Crestfoot looked to his apprentice and chuckled. "We could certainly do swimming practice if you want to " he said. It definitely sounded like a pleasant thing to do in the eat. "And afterwards if we have time we can do hunting or battle training if you want to." He stood up and looked to her. "So what do you think?" He glanced around the camp, maybe they could also bring other apprentices with if they were available and their mentors were wanting to have them train together.

Frostkit-Nursery*•.¸♡𝘥𝘢𝘸𝘯𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘦♡¸.•*The younger kit yawned as he began to wake up, as he began to ajust to the light he heard something outside. Frostkit stiffened a little, there was something outside of the Nursery. After a few moments of thinking, Frostkit gained the courage to swiftly check outside and make sure it wasn't some invasion. That's when he saw Fernkit's tail sticking out of the bushes and laughed, giving a yowl, "If anyone is looking for Fernkit, she's over here-!" Frostpaw was knocked to the ground by Fernkit before he could finish his sentence. "You gave me away you big fox-heart!" Fernkit growled.

He apologized, giving an awkward chuckle. "Say Lynxpaw, since Fernkit and I are becoming apprentices soon, would you be alright with teaching us some warrior moves?" Frostkit asked, looking behind him to see the silver ticked apprentice. "I want to be extra prepared so that I can impress my future mentor!" Fernkit shook her head, "That's no fun! Frostkit, we can learn about that stuff when we're older. Let's play now!" Fernkit didn't want to admit it, but she was fearing the day she'd become an apprentice. Fernkit would have to separate from Dawnshore, and she'd have a lot more responsibilities. She didn't think she was ready for such big changes.

Water must be starting to dry up at this point. Lynxpaw gulped before turning back to the kits.

Frostkit looked over to his sister, hoping she'd look a little more exited now, but she just backed away and began heading towards the fresh kill pile. "I'm going to get some prey for Dawnshore, but you two have fun." Fernkit spoke before leaving. Frostkit sighed, "Alright, tell mom I said hi." He looked back up at Lynxpaw, "Thanks for agreeing to help me, what do we learn first?" (Sorry, I gtg to sleep but I'll be on Tomorrow)

Sagepaw stretched as she pulled herself from her nest. Heat scorched her toes as her paws touched the ground. It keeps getting hotter and hotter. She sighed as she walked into the camp clearing looking around quickly. Sagepaw purred in relief that not a lot of warriors were around, she hated the looks some of her clanmates gave her. They must be on patrols, or in the Warrior’s Den to escape the heat. Sagepaw took this opportunity to start grooming her fur.

The tom moved stalking over to the family. Growling as he got closer before tackling Storm to the ground. "Ypu are trespassing leave now and I'll let you go unharmed," he hissed, flexing his claws to show he wasn't messing around. The clan was struggling at the moment and they certainly didn't need any rogues wandering on to the territory and taking resources the clan needed to survive. He growled at the other two cats. The tom flicked his gaze down at the cat beneath him before getting off the tom. His fur bristling, flexing his claws against the sand.

Storm, Rain and Ember - The Beach - Badgerstalk
Storm was quick to act when he felt his balance shift to the side, he dug his claws into the clan cat's side to change the direction of the fall so he wouldn't land on his kit. Rain dashed forward, grabbing Ember's scruff before she fell to the ground along with the two. When he was let go, Storm stood up, using his large size to stand over the cat who attacked him, his fur bristling. He situated himself standing between the tom and his family, his tail flicking angerly "What do you think you're doing?" He hissed loudly, as he spoke his voice only grew louder "Are you trying to kill my kit? Unless your clan is willing to murder kits." His anger only grew the more he thought about the idea that this cat could have caused harm to his family. His claws were similarly unsheathed, ready to take down this cat if he proved to want to cause more harm.
Rain backed up, not setting down the squirming kit in her mouth. Quickly, she turned and bolted back to the edge of the territory, she wasn't going to leave Storm for long but Ember needed to be brought to safety. She set Ember down as close as she could "just stay here, hide in the grass. I'll be right back with your father" she muttered, giving Ember a few comforting licks as she let out cries. Poor thing was shaking, but Storm needed help. "I know. I know. I promise it'll be alright." Rain then turned to run back to her mate's side, hoping he was still okay when she got there.
Ember cowered down into the grass, she didn't like the feeling of falling. She didn't like how quickly things changed from a trip with her parents to fear in her mother's eyes. She just wanted to go home.

Does it help for hunting or fighting?" Frostkit asked curiously. He hoped he wasn't being too annoying, but he was pretty interested in what Lynxpaw had to say and wanted to know more. Fernkit-Nursery-DawnshoreFernkit hadn't found much in the fresh kill pile other than yesterday's mouse, it didn't look too appealing but she decided to bring it for Dawnshore anyway. Her mother ended up not wanting the mouse though, so Fernkit brought it back. As she began to run back towards the nursery, Fernkit noticed Frostkit practicing some weird move. She laughed a little to herself before moving on again. " It won't be long until you're an apprentice, exited?" Fernkit's mother asked. She could see Dawnshore's eyes gleaming with joy, this clearly meant a lot to her. Fernkit nodded, "Yeah I guess, but I'm going to miss you a lot." Dawnshore looked down at her, "Don't worry, you'll have your brother and the other Apprentices to keep you company. Besides, one more moon with me and you'll be far too big for the nursery." Fernkit looked down at her paws, clearly her mother could see she was upset. "Look, I know this is a big change, but you won't be alone in this. And if it comforts you a little, I'll ask Almondstar if I can accompany you on your first day." If her mother were there with her she'd feel a little more comfortable. "That would make me feel slightly better," Fernkit responded. Dawnshore got up on her paws after that, "Alright then. I'll go talk to the leader about it if she's not too busy."

"When you're fighting and someone has you pinned down, you can pretend to be, well, um- dead," the silver she-cat explained. "You do so by going limp under your opponent. It'll trick them into thinking you died," Lynxpaw suddenly felt excited. "And then- you strike! They'll never see it coming!"

"We have the right to defend what is ours and if you choose not to leave then I'm allow3d to take any measures needed to ensure the safety of my clanmates." He flashed out his paw striking across Storm's face. "That is a warning. I w9nt ask you to leave again."

She usually had someone to practice with while she did this, but she figured she could manage. "This won't be perfect, but I'll show you what it looks like..." Lynxpaw lay on the ground before closing her blue eyes and going limp. The ground felt unusually hot. What is up with this heat? She thought, she got up from her position and scratched behind her ear. "Uh-" She started. "Do that but without the scratching part," Lynxpaw mewed.

He tried his best to replicate her move, yet when he tried to fall limp he got suprised by how hot the ground was and sprang up. "Sorry, I'm just not used to the heat. Is it always like this in Green-leaf?" Frostkit attempted to get back into the shade to cool down, but it didn't do much.

Realizing the tom-kit's question, she shook her head. "I highly doubt it," she meowed. "It wasn't this hot a few days ago..." The heat rubbed Lynxpaw the wrong way. There was no way this was normal. She had to ask Hailflurry if it was normal for Greenleaf to be this hot. "Do you want to go back to Dawnshore?" Lynxpaw asked, flicking her tail back-and-forth anxiously.
