(Ok here's my starter)
Finchpaw bounded into the apprentice den, looking for Sunpaw. He had finished gathering all the herbs and was excited to learn some fighting skills. "Sunpaw! I'm readyyyyy" he mewed.

Sunpaw purred and stood up, her paws still tender but less than they had been the day before. "Alright. Let's go." She mewed, trotting over to Finchpaw. The words of her father were still on her mind. He had hardly talked to her since she was born, but now he was beginning to recognize her. She had to force herself to not grin at the thought. She had wanted to tell her siblings, but we was worried that they would not believe her, or they would get irritated. She knew that, despite the bickering with her brother yesterday, that they were also turning into good warriors. They deserved to be acknowledged by their father as much as she did. "What would you like me to show you today?"

Fallingsky exited the nursery and stretched once the sun hit his pelt. He glanced around the camp and noticed how well the entrance had been repaired, it was as if nothing had happened at all. Now that the fisher was dead maybe things would be back to normal, but the thought of what the lynx had said to them lingered in the back of his mind. If the mountain would destroy everything the clan would be involved, what about his kits? He shook the thoughts away as he noticed Sunpaw with a few other apprentices and padded towards her, “be ready to train at sun high.” Fallingsky mewed to her and walked away so she could continue playing with the other apprentices.

Sunpaw looked away from Finchpaw and towards Fallingsky, giving the older tom a nod in response. "Yes, Fallingsky." She responded quickly, feeling some excitement about getting to train. She always found it fun, often reminding her of when she was still in the nursery.
Echoheart exited the warriors den. Glancing around the camp before picking out a finch from the pile, deciding to take the chance to eat quickly before she would be called out to patrol. She laid down in the sunny spot, letting the light of the sun warm her cold pelt. Despite most of the snow having been melted already, she still found it chilly at night, having to huddle close to the others. Normally, Redstar would have joined them, but despite the cold, he had remained in his den. It was odd, but she saw no reason to question it.

"Very well, Lionpaw is doing great. He'll be a warrior in no time" he said, pulling a tick off her tail. "I'll get him to get some fresh kill for you" he said.

Swiftfox let out a purr. "Thank you Mudface, i'm glad we have cats like you in this world". The she-cat gave Mudface a lick on her fore-head with gratitude.

"Your welcome" he said licking her ear before trotting off to find Lionpaw. He arrived at the apprentice den and poked his head in. "Lionpaw, come on. We've got a hunting patrol to do!" he said.

"Well" said Finchpaw "I would like to know how to take on someone bigger than me, I always scent rouges around where I collect herbs, I hope I never meet them" he said, his tail twitching a bit. Sunpaw nodded, thinking deeply about what she had learned so far. "Okay!" She purred, then she shifted on her paws, trying to think of how to explain it. "So, there's what's called the leap-and-hold. It's where you jump onto an opponent's back so that they can't get you and then you back and claw at them. But you have to be careful that they don't roll on you." She told the medicine cat apprentice, nodding to herself as she spoke. "You can also play dead, then attack when your enemy gets too confident. I think it's a dirty one to use but sometimes you have to do that to survive." She glanced around the camp. "I don't think I'm big enough for you to practice the leap-and-hold though." She added sheepishly. |

"Oh ok. So if I get caught I just, die?" he asked. He rolled onto his back and stuck his tongue out, though his tail was twitching. This is awkward he thought, lying there on the ground.

Sunpaw laughed slightly and shook her head. "Well if you get struck then you act like it really injured you, then you can seize the chance to catch your enemy off guard." She explained, feeling glad that she was getting the opportunity to show off what she had learned.

"Oh, that makes sense" he said, shaking to get the dust off of him. "SO are you going to try and pin me down orrrrr" he said, not sure of what training should be like.

Sunpaw stumbled for a moment. "Oh well, I know that you aren't dead though." She shifted on her paws, maybe she wasn't so good at this whole training thing. "Uhhhh...What about, um....Defensive moves instead?" She suggested, swishing her tail as she tried to think of what she could easily teach. "I can pretend to attack you, then you try to duck and dodge!"

"You can't even do better than a kit" rasped a voice. A dark gray tom with a jagged tooth emerged from behind the apprentices. Who appeared to be Wolftuft. He let out a judgemental scoff by glancing at them. "You can put that fighting use for providing our clan".
"Leave them alone" a familiar voice meowed, it was Swiftfox. She padded slowly to Wolftuft with a frown. Wolftuft looked like he was going to protest by opening his mouth. But he knew better not to argue with a elder. He closed his mouth, with a low growl of frustration.

Wolftuft eyed Finchpaw, with a look of disapproval. As he glanced at Swiftfox and the other cats, he jerked away with a snarl. Swiftfox watched him go, as the old she-cat turned to Finchpaw. "Ignore him, he has nothing better'n to do. You'll get there some day, I wish you luck on your training young one" Swiftfox purred, her purr sounded like two branches sliding together.

Finchpaw smiled. That purr though, it sounds so raspy! Maybe it's inflamed? Finchpaw stepped toward the elder. "Are you feeling alright? Your purr is a bit raspy" he said.

Silverfrost leaves the warriors den and shakes her fur. She glances around before sitting down on the ground and starts grooming her fur. She couldn't wait for the weather to warm up. Silverfrost missed taking naps in the sun.

"Ah, yes I am fine. No need to worry, the seasons past so fast i'm getting older by each day". Swiftfox focred her voice to stay smooth and calm. But her voice croaked with concern and anxiety. |

Silverfrost missed taking naps in the sun. Wolftuft padded into camp, fury blazed through his eyes. He trotted around, he turned to glance at Silverfrost. A strange warm feeling filled him. "Good days Silverfrost?" Wolftuft asked. |

Bramblepaw exited from the apprentices den, glancing around the clearing for her mentor. She settled down to groom herself while she waited for the deputy. It didn't fase her that she had to wait a little longer sometimes, she understood he had other tasks to tend to as well. It gave her time to go over the moves of the previous day in her head.

Lionpaw was still snoozing in the apprentices den. His large body was stretched out over his nest, so much so that he almost took up two spots in the den. Soft snores escaped from under his trembling whiskers.

Lionpaw stretched his frontlegs and slowly blinked his eyes open. "Uhh.. I don't recall that." He meowed while stifling a yawn. After another stretch the tom dragged himself from his nest.

Mudface rolled his eyes and walked out of camp. "Ok Lionpaw, what do you smell?" he asked.
