Fallingsky gave the medicine cat apprentice a confused glare, why was he out here hunting and not helping his own mentor? He focused his attention back on his own apprentice and her prey that she caught, “good job, it seems like some cat distracted you,” he mewed and gave Finchpaw another glare. “Finchpaw, I think you should get back to camp. We’ll be there shortly.” He ordered to the small tom.
He looked back at Sunpaw and let out a sigh, “you did great besides that small distraction,” he praised her and picked up his catches. “Let’s get back to camp?” He asked her curiously, they both had a few good catches so he supposed they might as well head back.

"What!? I'm not a distraction! I was helping!" Finchpaw huffed "I even caught something" he muttered, walking into the bush, pretending to head back to camp. He sat there, a few paces away watching them.

Jademist --- Darkcloud watched Bramblepaw for a moment before nodding to himself, she looked unworried which was good. He too lifted his chin to see if any prey lingered nearby. Luckily, it seemed a decent amount were by the water. Not as much as he would like, but more than out in the tundra. Perhaps the carcass had scared away what had been in the area, causing prey to flee to the river's edge. He glanced to Bramblepaw and flicked his ear as he turned to travel downstream. Upstream was closer to camp and safety so he would feel better if she took that direction. Even though she was maturing fast, she was still under his watch, he needed to prioritize her safety above all else. Once in a while, he would poke his head up to glance around, keeping an eye out for the mysterious lynx and fox. No sign was to be seen, he took a deep breath, he had to focus. Dawnmist kittyking2 --- Sunpaw watched as Finchpaw walked away, feeling some regret that her honesty had gotten him in trouble. She looked to Fallingsky with a guilty expression, placing down her prey. "I'm sorry, I should have told him that I couldn't let him distract me, it won't happen again." She mewed, her tail gliding back and forth. Finchpaw was younger than her, he wouldn't know anything about warrior training. She still felt upset with him for showing her up in front of her mentor, but she couldn't help but wonder what she could have said or done differently. "I just got excited when he pointed out the bird, so I didn't say anything. I wasn't thinking." She admitted, looking down. She was almost a warrior but she was making so many rookie mistakes, she sighed; maybe Hareleap was wrong after all.

Silverfrost eventually finishes her chat with Wolftuft and wanders over to Blacktooth. "What are you up too?" She asked. Blacktooth just shrugged his shoulders. "Not much just thinking about heading out. I know a patrol is out now but, I hate standing around and doing nothing." Silverfrost glances towards the entrance. "Well come on fisher killer, let's go patrol the border." She said sarcastically.

Fallingsky watched Sunpaw closely and waited a moment to speak, “that’s fine, I just want you focused since your assessments will be soon.” He mewed sternly but with a relaxed tone, he didn’t see the point in being beyond strict with her. If it were a few moons ago then maybe he would’ve, but she knows between right and wrong. She also has always proven to him that she cares, so when she apologizes he believes her. “Anyways, great catches Sunpaw. I told the kits I’d be bringing them fresh-kill to try today, so we better get back.” Fallingsky mewed with a smile.

Sunpaw nodded eagerly, determined to make her mentor proud. When he mentioned bringing prey back for his kits, the apprentice shifted back and forth on her paws with some excitement, "oh, I promised Hareleap something." She told her mentor with somewhat of a proud tone. She was sure Lionpaw would be hanging around the young warrior, so it was a perfect opportunity to show off her skills. She hadn't caught a lot, but she did have some sizable pieces, surely one of them would impress the two toms.

Finchpa watched from the bush, frowning at Fallingsky. He watched them talk about heading back, and he sighed. 'Maybe I should catch some prey for her, if she's giving it all to the others' he thought. He padded off as silently as he could, scenting a vole somewhere nearby.

Bramblepaw took the opposite direction of Darkcloud and went upstream. She wanted to catch something nice to show her mentor that they didn't come here for nothing. Hopefully she could find a better piece than the measly one she caught before. She caught the slight whiff of a mouse nearby and once she dropped into a neat hunters crouch she started stalking towards where the scent came from.

I also posted Echoheart so if anyone needs a character to interact with- she's free) Darkcloud peered through the brambles along the river, catching sight of a water vole near a thawed portion of the river. He glanced around cautiously before slowly stalking closer to his prey. He had to be careful, over- shooting his pounce could cause him to laid right in the icy water. Last thing he wanted was to become trapped under what ice remained. The tome crept closer before he eventually pounced, landing between the rodent and the water to prevent it from escaping. He used his paw to swipe at the animal before delivering a killing bite. He picked it up and smiled, happy that his idea had been a good one. It seemed like the river may be the best area to hunt until life returned to the tundra. He noted to himself to make sure to inform Redstar when they returned. -- Echoheart laid out in the only sunny area of camp. The clouds only allowed a small amount of warmth to peer through, and most of that was blocked by the branched that sprawled above the camp. She sighed as she thought about her kits, all of which were out of camp training. She couldn't help but worry about the fisher attack, what if another came? |

Fallingsky smiled at Sunpaws excitement, “alright then let’s get going,” he mewed and picked up his catches from in front of him. He began to trot back towards the camp, making sure to keep Sunpaw’s pace as they made their way. Once they entered the camp he quickly dropped the prey in the fresh-kill pile and dipped his head at Sunpaw. He grabbed a nice size shrew that he, Snowfoot, and the kits could share. She and the kits were outside of the nursery, enjoying the somewhat sunny sky.
As he approached Snowfoot and the kits he let out a purr as could see their excitement. He dropped the shrew in front of them and laid next to Snowfoot, “great catch,” she mewed softly to him and tore a few pieces for CloudKit and Shadekit. They squealed with excitement as they slurped up the small pieces, “that’s so good!” Shadekit exclaimed.
Fallingsky smiled and tore a few pieces for them and began to take a few pieces for himself. They were as excited as he was when he was a kit and tried fresh-kill for the first time.

Finchpaw tracked down the vole, watching it scamper along the blades of grass. He crept silently, hoping not to scare it away. He leaped from the bushes and caught it. Finchpaw smiled and trotted back to camp, finding a nice bush to wait for Sunpaw in.

(Sorry for the looong wait!! My head's been all over the place. I have not forgotten about this clan and intend to keep things going if you guys want to as well! Dawnmist would it be okay if I claimed Shadekit? That way you won't have to roleplay the whole family yourself!) Bramblepaw stalked cautiously towards the mouse she had spotted sitting near a small fallen treebranch. She was almost a warrior now, so there was no room for errors in her eyes. Once she felt she was close enough she leapt at the rodent and caught it in between her paws. Quickly she delivered a killing bite, making sure it would alert other prey with it's sounds. She glanced over her shoulder back to her mentor with the mouse hanging from her jaws. It looked like he'd had a succesful catch as well. |

Hey everyone. I have decided it would be best to close down this clan. Unfortunately, I have found myself rather busy and unable to manage it properly, and opposed to allowing it to just fade away, I figured it would be best to just formally close it. I will be active in other clans, I just do not have the ability to fully manage this one to the extent that I would have wanted to.
I have too many other projects on the go, and this clan isn't very active anyways (I picked the worst season to start one anyways lol).
