Shadowheart dipped his head at Darkcloud and made his way quickly to the leaders den. “Redstar?” He mewed before entering the den, finding the red tom laying in nest.
Fallingsky heard a cat enter the nursery and turned to see Lightwing, “everyone’s fine.” He mewed, thankful that they were okay. He looked back to face his mate, “I’ll be back with food.” He said before touching her nose with his own. Fallingsky padded out of the entrance to see Darkcloud and a few other camp mates. “Everyone is fine, if your wondering. Are you planning a hunting patrol?”

(I'll update everything in a second)
Redstar slowly lifted his head, wincing in pain before giving Shadowheart a tired smile, his golden eyes in a haze. Wordlessly, he forced himself to stand, crimson blood falling from his pelt and onto the moss beneath him. "My seventh." he said quietly, almost as if he was speaking to himself instead of the medicine cat in front of him. He began to clean his fur from the blood, but it continued to flow. "I've never seen a fisher so desperate." he stated, not seeming fully aware yet of his injuries.
Darkcloud glanced to the near empty fresh-kill pile- they can't waste daylight by not hunting. He wanted to wait until the patrol was back- but the Taigaclan territory was large- they wouldn't be back until almost Dusk. "Take the apprentices, I don't want to lose anymore warriors to protect the camp- keep close to them and do not stray far." He said, his voice quiet, "I entrust them in your care." He added, making sure that Fallingsky knew the risk they were taking, "I'll inform Frostfire." He then walked over to silver tabby and quickly told her before excusing himself, wanting to check on the rest of the clan.
Echoheart sighed to herself, disappointed that her plan didn't work, but she then felt a tinge of nervousness. "What if it hasn't though," she then lowered her voice, "do you think it would attack again?" She added, hoping that one of the senior warriors would have some insight. She stood, ready to stay or go as instructed, but her green eyes could not hide her reluctance to go.

Nightwhisper flicked his tail impatiently. “A fisher hasn’t been seen in the territory for quite a while, I’m sure this one was just passing through and thought we would be an easy target. Why don’t we all grab a quick bite and head out,” he said turning toward the fresh kill pile.
Frostfire dipped his head to Darkcloud, and couldn’t help but feel relieved his apprentice wouldn’t be coming. It would’ve been good experience for the young tom, but he was beginning to feel apprehensive. It had been a while since he’d heard of a fisher being in the territory, and he’d never heard of one being so bold as to attack their camp. A hunting patrol should keep Mistpaw out of dangers way, and Frostfire would take him to the stone clearing for battle training when they all returned. Frostfire returned his attention to Echoheart and his brother, looking at the she-cat sympathetically. “It looks like the entrance took some damage,” he said, grabbing his brothers attention, “maybe Echoheart could stay behind and do some mending. I’m sure we can find another cat to go on patrol with us.”

Shadowheart stared at his leader and his injuries as he stood, knowing it took all of his strength to stand. He could hear the blood droplets hitting the moss as it dripped off of Redstars pelt, which was now the color of garnet. Shadowheart took a step closer to the leader, “I think it’s best you lie down,” he said quietly. As he watched his leader he knew that he was losing a life, and there wouldn’t be much he could do. “You are losing another life.. Please rest so this will be easier on you.” Shadowheart mewed as he took a step back, for there was nothing he could do as Redstar lost his seventh life.
“Okay.” Fallingsky said to Darkcloud in agreement before dipping his head at the deputy. He turned to Frostfire, “grab the apprentices and let’s head out.” He said and padded to the entrance to the camp. It was new-leaf and there was bound to be good prey that he would be able to bring back for his mate and kits. Fallingsky loved them so deeply, and was desperate to keep them safe and taken care of.

( Dawnmist I think Frostfire will be going on patrol with Nightwhisper and Echoheart but It's up to whatever you guys want to do!) Redstar fell with a thud, his chest rasing and falling with each ragged breath. Eventually, the breathing stopped, he felt the life slip from his body. After several moments, his golden eyes regained their shimmer, and he slower raised his head. The injury- now barely there- was no longer actively bleeding. He glanced to Shadowheart before slowly sitting up, regaining his composer, "my apologies Shadowheart." he said quietly, cleaning the blood from his fur. He still felt tender, and pain still flowed through his body with each breath, but it was tolerable. "I hadn't expected such an injury from a mere fisher..." Echoheart gave Frostfire a thankful smile, but then glanced to Nightwhisper, noting that the cat seemed eager to leave. "No, it's okay, I can go.." She mewed as she watched Nightwhisper walk towards what remained in the fresh-kill pile, which wasn't a lot, "Thank you Frostfire." She added before following behind the black cat, giving Blacktooth a nod as she passed. She was sure he wouldn't need her help.

“Okay.” Fallingsky said to Darkcloud in agreement before dipping his head at the deputy. He glanced around camp looking for the apprentices when he spotted Sunpaw. He made his way over to the young she-cat, “Sunpaw, come with me on hunting patrol. And find Mistpaw if you can, I’ll be waiting at the entrance.” Fallingsk made his way to the entrance where he waited for the two apprentices. It was new-leaf and there was bound to be good prey that he would be able to bring back for his mate and kits. Fallingsky loved them so deeply, and was desperate to keep them safe and taken care of.
Shadowheart sighed as he stood in front of his leader who had just lost his seventh life. “Apologies for what? Being brave enough to risk his lives for his clan? That’s nothing to apologize for, you should be proud of how great of a leader you are.” Shadowheart had watched Redstar lose many lives, and everytime he was protecting those he cared for. “Get your rest.” He mewed to the leader as he turned to leave the den, other cats may need his care.

(It was my bad, my post wasn't very clear)
Sunpaw instantly perked up, excitement obvious in her blue eyes but she did her best to keep her composure in front of Fallingsky. "I'll find him right away!" she told him, instantly trotting towards the apprentice den in search of her brother.
Redstar laughed slightly, Shadowheart was always so genuine when he spoke, it was made it easy to trust him. He was always there whenever he awoke from losing a life, and always gave him words of encouragement. He slowly laid himself back down, trusting that the clan was in safe paws. "Thank you, my friend." he said as he watched the tom leave the den.

Greywind watches his brother for a few minutes before turning away and looking at his clanmates to see how they were faring. The fisher attack was such a sudden surprise and the creature at the time looked rather crazed. He hoped the fisher wouldn't try again.

Nightwhisper paused by the fresh kill pile, noticing it was already pretty low. “Maybe we should see if we can catch anything on patrol,” he said, a little embarrassed he hadn’t thought to check before suggesting it. He shook his head quickly and turned around, talking as he walked to the camp entrance. “I think we should check the tundra first. The fisher seemed pretty desperate, and that’s the best place to find prey.”
Frostfire quickly turned again to follow his brother. “He means well,” he signed to Echoheart, “he’s just…blunt.” His brother had never been one to chit-chat, he didn’t even spend much time with Frostfire and Lightwing.
Lightwing left the elders den, seeing all was well there. She padded up to Darkcloud. “Is there anything I can do to help?” She asked quietly.

Shadowheart padded out of the leader's den into the camp clearing, glancing around the cats to see if anyone was injured. Noticing all the cats in the clearing he spoke, loud enough for them all to hear him, “If anyone is injured please come see me.” He slowly padded to the medicine den, sitting in front of the entrance waiting for anyone injured to come see him.

Quietstream laid next to her mother in the sun, watching the clan cats shifting around and talking. Willowtail shifted to face Quietstream, “there will always be tragedies living out in the wild, lucky no one died.” She said bitterly, as if she didn’t care if anyone had died. Quietstream scoffed, “that was sincere.” She mewed bluntly, rolling over onto her back to enjoy the sun on her stomach.

Echoheart felt a pain in her stomach as they looked at the fresh kill pile, she, like many others had not eaten much over leaf-bare and the thought of a juicy shrew almost made her drool. She quickly snapped out of it though, and gave Frostfire a sympathetic look, “that’s ok, I Just hope I didn’t offend him. He’s a good clanmate, both of you are!” She said, hoping to reassure the older cat. Her ears perked up when Nightwhisper suggested that they go hunting while on patrol, though she knew they wouldn’t get a chance to eat until after, it would still provide her with a much needed moral boost. She gave Frostfire an excited look before following Nightwhisper with much more enthusiasm than before.
Darkcloud looked to Lightwing and nodded, though his eyes followed Shadowheart for a moment; was Redstar ok? Did he lose a life like her suspected he would? He then turned all of his attention to the warrior in front of him, “the bramble wall needs to be repaired. I want everyone to be on high alert in case it is waiting for another opportunity. So keep you wits about you.” He ordered, starting to feel a bit exhausted though he hid it well. The black cat was known for not speaking much and it felt like he has spoke more today than he did his whole apprenticeship.

Quietstream stretched away from where she laid in the sun and made her way towards Darkcloud, “anything I could do?” She asked the tom while looking at his green eyes, noticing an unreadable emotion. Though she was curious to ask him what was wrong, she knew he’d say he was okay. Quietstream looked away from him, keeping her silence, assuming he was worried.

(So sorry I disappeared!)
Nightwhisper led Echoheart and his brother out of camp, his ears pricked. He scented the air, noting there were a few drops of blood outside the camp entrance. “Stay alert,” he said. “I’m not sure how severe the fishers injuries are. It seemed desperate as is, and it’s injury could make it more so.” He followed the trail of blood, seeming to lead to the tundra as he’d assumed.
Frostfire followed Nightwhisper, padding lightly through the undergrowth and looked around wearily. It hadn’t been long since they’d chased the fisher out of camp, it couldn’t have gone very far in such a short time. He couldn’t help but be a little jumpy, flinching when the leaves rustled above them.
Lightwing nodded to Darkcloud and turned to the camp entrance to see how bad the damage was. She sighed in relief when she saw it wasn’t as bad as she’d expected, the fisher had been small enough to squeeze through without doing too much damage. She quickly started working, grabbing some bramble in her teeth, making sure to avoid the thorns.

Darkcloud remained silent as he watched Lightwing walk away, hoping that the damage wasn’t as bad as he thought. He was wishing that Redstar was here but he was sure the medicine cat had told the red tom to rest. It wouldn’t do the clan any good to see their leader in such a poor state. He glanced to Quietstream then looked towards Willowtail, noting that his father must still be in the elder’s den. “How is Willowtail and Heavypelt?” He asked. He wasn’t particularly close to his father due to the difference in personalities but he still was worried that the elders may had been spooked by the attack. He was sure if they heard him though, they would both chew him out for being so soft.
Echoheart walked with full attention ahead of her, her ears perked up and eyes watching for any movement. She did feel better about her own nervousness as the senior warrior beside her seemed to jump at the slightest noise. It seemed that the fisher scared off any prey that may have come out of their dens, her stomach clawed at her with hunger. “It smells so foul. Even worse than a fox.” She whispered, her nose scrunched as she spoke. “I’ve heard stories about them from Heavypelt but I didn’t expect fishers to be so...odd looking. It’s like a bear-cat.” She added.

(Sunpaw is still going with Fallingsky on hunting patrol right?)
Quietstream glanced at her mother as he mentioned her, “ah she’s fine, I think she expects the worse. As far as Heavypelt goes, I’m not sure. He seems fine, he just doesn’t say much. I wonder if him and Willowtail even speak.” She mewed to Darkcloud, now deep in her thoughts wondering what the two would even talk about. Her thoughts quickly came back to Darkcloud as she glanced back over to him. “What about you, how are you?” She asked the tom.

Darkcloud’s whiskers twitched in amusement, “I’m surprised he doesn’t talk your ears off every time you go to the elder’s den.” He told Quietstream, allowing himself to relax a bit. He glanced back to Willowtail, he was sure that Heavypelt was probably silent to the elder’s kits out of respect or perhaps pity. Everyone knew how protective Willowtail could be. “I’m fine. Everyone is still on edge but this is a push to have us regain our strength quickly. We must learn from this.” He stated, slowly finding himself again. He was not as charismatic as Redstar, few were, but he had to at least try to put his clanmates at ease as best as he can.

(I see, that would be fine if it’s fine with you.)
Quietstream nodded in agreement to Darkcloud, “we will.” She replied, giving the tom a slight smile. The clan was strong and resilient, she knew the things that happen are meant to happen to teach them. “Well… can I help you with anything?” She asked him as she glanced around the clan to see what the other cats were up to. She lost her mind to her thoughts, the damage from the creature had distracted her, how do I always act like these things don’t bother me?

Darkcloud glanced away from the she-cat and looked over the camp once again. Brambles scattered throughout the clearing, blood dotting the snow that still had yet to thaw. He had seen the camp in much worse conditions, but it wasn’t a great way to introduce New-Leaf. “Lightwing is repairing the damaged wall- they may appreciate some assistance.” He stated, his voice distant. He twitched his ear in irritation. They needed more apprentices- just two wasn’t enough for what the clan needed. He stood up and glanced back to the warrior beside him, “I’ll help as well.” He needs, venturing to the clearing and gathering the loose brambles to help patch the wall.
Sunpaw glanced up at Fallingsky, her body alert as she was readying herself for their hunting patrol. She still felt the excitement from the attack, her paws tingling with adrenaline, but she did her best to appear serious in front of the warrior.

Quietstream dipped her head at the deputy and made her way over to the destroyed wall to help the others repair it.
Fallingsky met his gaze with Sunpaw’s, “let’s go.” He mewed as he lashed his tail and headed out of the clan, he could hear the apprentice close behind him. As they padded quietly he assumed she knew where they were going. The Tundra is Fallingskys favorite hunting grounds, and had been training Sunpaw to hunt there ever since she was apprenticed. As they approached the Tundra he slowed down and looked at Sunpaw, “you know the drill, split up but stay close.” Fallingsky trusted his apprentice, she progressed well and was an excellent hunter. He dipped his head at Sunpaw and padded through the Tundra, listening and smelling for prey.

Sunpaw nodded, her eyes filled with determination. She was going to make sure she impressed Fallingsky with her catch today. The calico turned quickly and bounded away from her mentor, her pawsteps light as to not alert any nearby prey. She opened her mouth as she breathed in the scents around her. The cold air felt harsh but she could find hints of soil and grass in the air, she was sure that prey could as well.

Fallingsky crouched down, he could hear small scuffling on the forest floor. Slowly creeping through the grass he saw a chipmunk not too far from him on a tree trunk. Being cautious to Sunpaw he glanced to see where she was, making sure he wasn’t interfering with her catch. He looked back to the chipmunk and waited for the right moment. He wiggled his haunches and pounced towards the chipmunk, grabbing it with his paws and made the kill bite.

(There is plot that will happen with the patrol btw, I’ll just wait until everyone is back to reveal it just so everyone is on the same page. I’m totally open for any suggestions. I might open a plot thread for that)
Sunpaw’s ear twitched in acknowledgement to Fallingsky’s kill. She was always impressed at how quiet he was, the prey not even getting a chance to give away his position. She eventually spotted a mouse only a few fox lengths away, it seems stringy, not yet fat on the bounty that the forest would soon provide. Silently, she stalked it through the heather, her steps light as to not startle it. Once she was within pouncing distance, she paused, checking her position, then pounced, able to quickly subdue the prey. The scent made her mouth water, but she ignored her hunger and quickly buried it for later. She was glad that they had found prey so quickly, she hoped that they would stay lucky.

(Okay, sounds good. It would be good to share ideas!)
Fallingsky watched Sunpaw as she made her catch, “great job.” He called to her, pride swelling inside of him. He turned back to his own kill and tossed it under a bush so he could search for more prey. He slowly walked through the thick forest listening and smelling for any creature or prey. He was happy for the prey they have found, but was now quiet and eerie. Looking around he could just see the birds in the trees, even they weren’t singing. He shook off the weird feeling and kept stalking through the forest.

Fallingsky was slowly creeping through the grass when he heard a loud crunch behind him. He whirled around faster than he could think, thankful that Sunpaw was in the same spot she had been. “That wasn’t you, was it?” He whispered to the apprentice but he knew it couldn’t have been her. The crunch was loud. Loud enough to be the horrible creature that attacked the camp earlier. Fallingsky stood his ground, regardless of what it was.

Sunpaw glanced to her mentor and shook her head. Her ears pinned tightly to her head as she glanced through the partings in the undergrowth to properly see her mentor. “No.” She said, her voice a quiet mew. Quietly, as if stalking a mouse, she made her Way to her mentor, staying close to his side. She tilted up her head to smell if it was the creature again. She still could only smell the forest due to the thick pines that surrounded them but the metallic scent of blood wafted into her sinuses. She glanced up to Fallingsky, curious if he had also caught the slight scent.
Before her mentor got the chance to speak, Sunpaw watched as a single pine cone fell onto the forest floor not even a fox’s length away from them. She stared at the single pine cone, droplets of crimson blood spattering onto the pine needles that surrounded it. Slowly, her blue eyes followed up the trunk of the tree in front of them, finally settling on the large brown figure of the fisher. It’s dark eyes locked onto the two smaller cats, bearing it’s sharp white fangs as it released a terrible growl. Shocked, Sunpaw stared up at it, too scared to move even as it prepared to pounce.
