The pig with our classmate's face chasing Spiderfang and Mousefern by kinkajou. Adderbite artYes, drawn by the Adderbite of I Am Very Strangeness fame.Not-Snazzy Jaggedtuft. (image is not on my computer for some reason, will see if I can borrow and rescan) Cobaltwhisker the Bus-Airplane, mentioned in the comics. Brackenclaw as the Statue of Liberty frowning seductively (that's his mouth, not a mustache). A distressed mountain, a happy rocket, and a creepy sun. She assured me this was fanart. Emberheart wanting to use her thesis. HollyHeart. Jaggedtuft crying because he didn't get 100% while Cobaltwhisker grows a second mouth. Jetwhisker saying, “I’m right and you’re left.” Jumpwhisker making the face one of our teachers at the time made constantly. “Nectarclaw” was the tentative name I gave someone who ended up never appearing in the comics, although she is in a comic predecessor lower down the page. A love triangle between three-armed Robinstep and three-armed Inkspot; the carrot is not part of it. Tigerpelt as Mickey Mouse as a bride. Swagfoot, her OC of real life. He was the cat version of the codename given to someone in our class (Supermoo Scaryface). Swagfoot (here depicted as a scarecrow) constantly changes color, but his swag foot is always green. Lostfoot, her Warriors OC. Me as a nerd. A combination of Driftspots and Spiderfang (known as Spiderspots). Cobaltwhisker. People called him (name)-dog in middle school. My ancient OC Cobaltwhisker of RainClan, and the original Adderbite. The wonderful snowman referenced in the comics. The preserved handwriting in the bottom right reads, “Book requested by Mr.” (followed by me covering up the teacher’s actual name). Cobaltwhisker again. A dead baby moose, apparently. Mint, Part Three Mint, Part Four first two panels of Mint, Part Five The Falcon Emeraldheart being green and upset. This was drawn without looking at the paper. The top two images are Call (but as muffins), and the bottom six panels are Squeak. Beautiful. comic predecessorsIt didn't only start with Rubber Band. I didn't even attempt the chairs. Imagine if I put backgrounds like that in the real comics. This…might be the earliest image here? Experimenting with not giving them arms. You see this reemerge at some point during the actual comics, even though I had already been told it looked bad. Ancient yet surprisingly decent image of Cobaltwhisker, Emberheart, and me during academic team. I had to crop out the school logo(?) on our shirts, plus our initials in front of us, but fortunately I never got around to coloring anything other than the cats (so no school colors, etc.). Coldwhisker was so important to the beginning of the comics. Obviously some designs have changed since then. Sorry for heavy editing, but we are all labeled with our real names and wearing school shirts. The big white blob in the middle had our school logo along with the words, "Academic Team: where smart people act stupid." (Features: Swiftstripe, Marblenose, and third guy playing poker for mints; Jetwhisker carrying plastic Godzilla; Owlclaw, Brackenclaw, and the guy who shares a name with Brackenclaw and therefore caused the designs to be switched messing around with the computer; Maplepelt with Copperpelt in a headlock for saying he didn't like THG; and me needing to sharpen a pencil while Cobaltwhisker hogs the sharpener. Bonus: the cat in the bottom right is the one referred to as “Nectarclaw.”) Same year; there are a couple "sequel" images, but this was the last one I actually sketched before starting the comics. (Features: uh…Owlclaw arguing with Maplepelt; Jetwhisker holding the larger but less useful Godzilla while Emberheart holds the main Godzilla to keep it away from the eighth graders and also idly talks to me while I draw; Swiftstripe and Deerblaze not getting along; and the one guy on his phone. Bonus: “Nectarclaw” is looking out from behind Emberheart.) Not sure why Coldwhisker has stripes, but on the back I wrote a note explaining that this was drawn before he got a really bad haircut, which I guess was supposed to explain why I made him a longhaired cat. That's Jewelfang over to the side. Look, some of these are even in the comics! The greenish blobs are names. These characters have nothing to do with the comics, but the picture was basically practice to get the line width down to two (and Huntingclaw reminds me of Coldwhisker). Look, back in the day everyone had multi-shade eyes! You can see elements of this in several of the pictures here, actually. The definitely-recognizable multi-shade eyes are my own (obviously), Coldwhisker’s (orange around the edge), Archclaw’s (darker around the edge), and Juniperpelt’s (orange eyes with blue around the pupil, which was originally a mistake but which I declared canon until just making them brown in the comics). "I love you" guy turned out to be an actual creep; "put your fur up" girl is Snowleap in the comics. I think the angry guy might be Hotel Pillow. old coversWe've come a long way. Questions Can I make a character? Since these are real-life happenings, I don't take fan characters. However, I will take designs for IDKTP comics!
Can I make a comic of things that happened in real life, too? Yes. Although I came up with it on my own, I'm not the first to have the idea, so I can't really ask for credit or tell people not to. However, I will sheepishly recommend that you mention I said it's okay because people have been attacked in the past.
Can I make fanart? Sure!
Are these your actual friends that said this stuff? Yes.
Is Archclaw's name like "arch nemesis?" Actually, no. I came up with the name back when we were semi-friends. Even once we stopped associating, we weren't on particularly bad terms.
How do you make these? I sketch them on real paper first. I outline them in SumoPaint (free and online), then color them in Pixelmator (it costs money, but don't despair; other programs work just fine). An update from the future: I'm not sure if anyone is still wondering this, but I'm now using Procreate on an iPad.
How do you make them so quickly? I just...do. If I were to monetize them I would put far more effort into them.
Do your friends know about this comic? Some of them. Love the comics: Adderbite, Ashtail, Shadeddream, Fishfeather, Swiftstripe, Lynxtuft, Cinnamontuft, Tealwhisker Like the comics: Jayflight, Amberfang, Spiderfang, Leafstream, Elandfur, Shadowmist, Tigerpelt, Brackenclaw, Minnowcloud, Mosspool, Dunlinstep, Coldwhisker, Icewhisker, Nighttail, Lilypetal, Riverlight, Echoleaf, Mottlestep, Mousefern, Agateclaw, Ruestep, Breccianose, Jaggedtuft Don't care: Rosefall, Hawkflight, Aquafur, Brushwhisker Hate the comics: Emberheart Expressed no opinion: Locustfang [Slick] A little embarrassed but appreciative: Lavendershine Interested but no opinion given: Emeraldheart, Jujubefoot
Do you and your friends actually call each other the kitty names or do you just put it there to replace their actual name? Ebonyclaw and I sometimes used our warrior names with each other back in the day, and I used to sometimes call Adderbite Adderface, but other than that it's just filling in for the real names.
Are Killdeerfrost and Stonefrost twins? Yes.
Can you make a comic of this for me? [script] Yes, but please don't overwhelm me with requests.
Can you draw my character? I'm probably willing to, but again, it's not really a request page, so I'd prefer not to get too many.
How do you come up with the names? A few were requested by the person (Fishfeather, Shadowmist, Shadeddream). Some names have to do with the person and/or are jokes (Meadowblaze, Parrotjaw, Spiderfang, Basilstripe). Friends were consulted for a few (Killdeerfrost, Stonefrost, Wetpelt, Sunnypelt). Most names are just random names that seemed to fit the person well enough.
Also, for suffixes specifically, sometimes I'll just kind of go "well hey I haven't used this one in a while (or at all)," hence Topazheart, Nutmegmask, etc.
In case you didn't notice, I do not repeat prefixes. So I use some, um, creative prefixes, mostly on people I don't expect will show up too often. That leaves the more "normal" prefixes open for use. I do mess up sometimes on predicting who I'll be hanging out with, though. Also, I give "better" names based on Favoritism Points sometimes. I also want to make sure the names are as easy to tell apart as possible, so sometimes I use more out-there words to make names different (Rutilestream, Bettafin, Eyaseye).
What grade are you in/how old are you? I'm not going to put a "permanent" answer here because I don't trust myself to remember to come back and change it, but I'm not exactly cagey about it anymore. As of last edit of this answer, I'm 25. I started the comics when I was 13. Trivia-Type Things Name changes: Amberfleck to Amberspeckle to Amberfang. Coldfoot to Coldwhisker. Rustfur to Elandfur. Waspwing to Ivorytail. Tawnytail to Tawnysmudge. Ratwhisker to Radishtail.
Amberfang and Fishfeather both used to have tufts like Graystripe in the Graystripe mangas. They were both golden tabbies. The only difference in their appearances was that Fishfeather had sky blue eyes and Amberfang had gold.
I gave Amberfang see-through bangs deliberately to spite the people who would always complain about this back in the ay.
Hollyfrost's "final" design, the one in the comic, is technically the eighth version of the design…though all eight have been black cats with green eyes. You'd be surprised how many variations there can be on that.
Hollyfrost and Ebonyclaw--the first two "characters"--were originally created as characters for their own fanfictions, Falling Oak (by me) and Ebonyclaw's Destiny (by Ebonyclaw), with a few scenes shared by the two stories for continuity since the characters were supposed to be friends. However, neither story was ever actually written, just planned.
Shadowmist gave herself her warrior name; at the time, she wanted a real cat named Shadowmist. Shadeddream at first requested that her name be Shadow Dreamer, but I had to turn it into a warrior name, and I had already used Shadow-.
Fishfeather's name was originally going to be Finchfeather, but she kept telling me to change it to Fishy.
Rubber Band and Soft Hair were originally posted as their own separate threads on wcf. Their titles were "Jayflight's rubber band troubles." and "a somewhat awkward question."
Over a year after naming her Hawkflight, I found out that Hawkflight hates warrior names beginning with Hawk-.
Tawnysmudge was originally going to be Tawnytail the tawny tabby rather than Tawnysmudge the tortie. However, after drawing a comic with her in it and writing "Tawny" on the cat to identify it as her, I accidentally smudged the pencil lines, resulting in large gray blurs across her face and leading to a redesign (I had not yet created a character reference).
Apricotswipe (with a slight redesign) and Marshfire were both featured in IDKTP comics before I learned who they were and they showed up in real comics. Update: Morainepebble and Siskinswoop can be added to this list. Another update: Breccianose! Technically I knew who she was (sorry!) but I didn't anticipate interacting with her again.
Sunnypelt's name was going to be Sandypelt, but then she and the other friends present started talking about how they disliked the word "sandy," so I changed it.
So. Adderbite, right? Cobrajaw (her true love) and Boatooth (her brother) were intentionally named similarly to her. Aspwhisker was almost named Aspfang before I realized that would fit the pattern and I didn't want it to.
Similarly, Cobaltwhisker's two brothers are Cyantail and Blueclaw.
Jewelfang's name is a mistake. She and her twin, Jadebite, accidentally got their cat names switched because I forgot which name was which. Jewelfang (who was supposed to be Jadebite) likes green, and the never-appearing other twin (who was supposed to be Jewelfang) likes pink…I kind of like that the names are backward, but I do wish I'd gotten it right.
Russetrose was designed and named four years before appearing in the comic.
For anyone confused, the Cuddle Puddle consisted of Anemonetail, Thrashertail, Alliumwing, Spotstep, Ruestep, Jujubefoot, Alpacapelt, Chipmunkfur, Lavendershine, four people without warrior names, and me. A fifth person without a cat name was initially in the Cuddle Puddle but sort of drifted away from the group. Darterfang was also part of the group, but he was…not wanted in the group chat.
Basic story of the surreal day: I woke up feeling kind of sick. I chugged two waterbottles immediately before we went up this giant, very steep hill in direct sunlight (bad idea). Jacarandapetal offered me candy corn, even though it was July, then found that she only had three pieces left because of Woollyfoot and told me never to meet him. Myotissong told me there were only two days left that the pool would be open, so I decided I would go an hour before it closed that night. We went back down the hill and had a little time to ourselves. Of course, drinking two waterbottles and then walking around in direct sunlight made me feel sicker. We then watched three space-related videos, one of which was a black hole video that I had already seen twice and knew very well. The videos made me feel even sicker. We were then surprised with a laser show set to Metallica…which made me feel better than I had in a week. I was so refreshed??? Anyway, that night, I went to the pool, and Myotissong, Martinfeather, Jacarandapetal, Woollyfoot, and a creepy guy without a warrior name were there. I didn't take my glasses. We played sort-of-basketball in the pool until it closed, at which point we went to play badminton (which I could not do without glasses). The four of us left Martinfeather and Myotissong (who are actually good at badminton since they used to play) playing against each other to play four-person racquetball, but Jacarandapetal decided to wait until we were in the racquetball court with the door closed to start explaining the rules. I don't know if you've ever been in a racquetball court before, but that place echoed so much that I could barely make out any of the syllables she said, let alone full words. I ended up leaving and talking to Martinfeather while some old guy destroyed Myotissong at badminton. When the gym closed, we went to get Martinfeather's telescope out of his classroom. On the way there, Myotissong got sidetracked by four girls having a picnic and abandoned us. The room Martinfeather's telescope was in was locked, so the five of us sat around playing card games by the vending machines until we decided to leave. On the way we noticed Myotissong in the physical science room carving a tiny Space Station out of balsa wood. Martinfeather played with a lighter while Woollyfoot and Jacarandapetal ate the teacher's M&Ms until we all agreed to actually leave. We were going to have a party, but the twins disappeared, Woollyfoot said something vaguely rude and left, and Jacarandapetal said she would come back and never did; I ended up playing card games with Narwhalpelt, the creepy guy, and some guy whose name I never learned, but if pressed I would guess Jason.
Cats whose Names are Related to the Person Spiderfang used to draw spiders all the time. Their names were Joe and Sally Joe, and they gradually took over the universe.
Meadowblaze was specifically supposed to be bright red because of her hair.
Basilstripe wore stripes all the time.
Myotissong is really good at the piano. So is Martinfeather, but I didn't want to use the same suffix for twins again, and I wanted to make it clear that a martin was a bird.
Squeaktalon (twice) squeaked loudly in class when the power went off, earning him the nickname Electric Squeak.
Clawfoot has a usually-suffix word for a prefix because his first name is typically a last name.
Gabbroflash has "bro" in it.
Swiftstripe sounds like Sweet Stripes, a brand of peppermint candy he likes.
Penguinmist is a hockey fan who loves the Penguins.
After repeatedly calling me by Whimbrelsong's name, Saltspeckle told me I could call her Sodium if I wanted, hence Salt-.
Names I've Used in Other PlacesUnintentional unless stated otherwise. First: Ebonyclaw was named before the SkyClan cat existed. Ebonyclaw was named before we even knew SkyClan existed. Other HumansThe Adderbite we all know and love was not the original real-life Adderbite. Additionally, the name Emberheart was originally used for Elandfur's twin sister, who never ended up appearing in the comic. Sun and Shadows namesCobaltwhisker was the conniving RainClan deputy. Brindlefoot was the CaveClan deputy who had lost hope. Echoleaf was a CaveClan warrior and Rustlebreeze's love interest. I reused the name knowingly, but not for any particular reason. Aquafur was a background HailClan warrior. The name felt familiar when I gave it to comic Aquafur, but I didn't realize why. I assumed it was only due to the similarity to the word "aquifer." Scrolling through the Sun and Shadows document, I noticed another background HailClan warrior named Clawfoot. Ash to AshI intentionally reused the name Poppystream for a WindClan warrior, although character Poppystream has nothing to do with real Poppystream. Grasspelt is a canon background RiverClan warrior, who I remembered to include as a background character. Canon Grasspelt existed before comic Grasspelt. When writing Ash to Ash I noticed the canon ShadowClan warrior Owlclaw. RockClan CallsI included a background ShadowClan warrior named Leafstream in a fanfiction called RockClan Calls that I wrote for Hawkflight several years ago. Here's the reference picture for the character Leafstream: At least I'm consistent. I began a version of RockClan calls that's the actual official story--the version written for Hawkflight was an altered version that made her OC Bonestar of ShadowClan the main character, when Autumnheart of HailClan (long story) was actually intended to be the main character. Apparently Coldstar, post-story leader of RainClan, was named Coldwhisker as a warrior!? For context, the story was essentially that the Place of No Stars equivalent convinces all the apprentices to take a journey, which releases evil spirits into the world, and they have to go back and fight off the evil spirits. Which is…uncomfortably close to what ended up happening in OOTS. Huh. Anyway, Coldstar followed the apprentices over basically the whole journey. He followed them because he was only a kit. That's right, apparently Coldwhisker shares a warrior name with a leader who survived a perilous journey almost alone when he was a kit. I remembered Coldstar, but his warrior name exists in exactly two places--the "AUTUMNHEART" RockClan Calls document and the handwritten Bonestar version. The RockClan Calls story was the backstory for a game we played with the Clans HailClan, RainClan, SnowClan, ShadowClan, SleetClan, and GraupelClan. TL;DR: Coldwhisker was one of my most certified badass characters, and became leader at a young age, a clever man but with an unfortunate mean streak. Micafleck was intentionally reused for the comics. She was a RainClan warrior in the HailClan game (HailClan was the ThunderClan equivalent, and RainClan was the RiverClan equivalent). Probably counts as two generations after the RockClan Calls cats. Saltspeckle was the name of a cat from the HailClan game who was "canonically" named after Saltpaw from RockClan Calls. She has no relation to comic Saltspeckle; I just liked the name and wanted to reuse it. Here's the reference picture for the character Saltspeckle: …-speckle? Three UnitedBerryfoot was the name of a minor character, one of four young WindClan warriors who were staunch supporters of Sol's descendant Solstice (or Equinox depending on which "version" of the story you look at). Shrewfur is apparently a background RiverClan warrior in Three United. Tawnysmudge is a RiverClan elder in Three United--the last cat listed in the allegiances of the first book. Dappled LeavesCloudedfur was a character from SkyClan who became a warrior shortly before Dapplestar, was appointed deputy, and was murdered by the traitorous Starcloud. There was apparently a Coalpelt in Dappled Leaves, a SkyClan warrior who was concerned about the code. This wasn't on purpose, but it's probably why Coalpelt is called Coalpelt when according to the Documentation TM she was originally named Coalfire--I must have switched the names in my mind. TimeGrayfeather was an OakClan warrior in Time who appeared a couple of times. Redstar's TaskIcewhisker is the canon RiverClan medicine cat during the time of Redstar. Although he is a very minor character, I definitely knew he existed, because I included him in Redstar's Task, and he was actually mentioned within the story. Hareflight is a canon WindClan warrior who I did remember to include. Comic Hareflight is actually named in response to people not liking Harespring's name. OtherRussetrose and the character Russet Rose came into existence at the same time with the same design. I really liked the name; Russetrose, of course, is the comic "character," and Russet Rose is from the Syrinx era of the Amethyst world. Blueclaw was apparently a background character from the "Wavetribe" (medium low rank, as evidenced by having -claw in her name) in my Totally Not a Fanfiction, Outcast. I had a thoroughly planned series called Heart of the Wild (wow, original) set in the same Totally Not a Fanfiction universe. The names change more in that universe than they do in Warriors, but for longer than any other particular suffix, Jaydawn was called Jayflight (-flight was for medium-high rank; -dawn was for leader of the Dawntribe). Calicopelts was the non-Clan version of CalicoClan, which I, the brave Mudwisp/Mudstar, led back in elementary school. This one was intentional, though she has nothing to do with the old Calicopelt; I just wanted to use it as a name. I had a comic without a real title in which all the names were randomly generated from a huge list. One name just happened to be Leopardpelt.

And a message from Ebonyclaw: To whom it may concern: I just realized that I am not on the fan list for your comics because I'm not on the forum. However, I do not consider myself to be a fan of anything. I prefer the term "Enthusiast". For example: Enthusiasts- Ebonyclaw (I made it easy for you. All you have to do is copy and paste.) Sincerely, Ebonyclaw P.S. I am practicing my business letter-writing skills. They are quite rusty since I don't have a job and therefore am not often presented with a need to write a business letter. Percents measure the percent of comics the cat has physically appeared in over the set of 1000 being celebrated. 1000 comicsOct 9, 2015 - 36 colored-pencil drawings of comic cats with a fun fact about each #1 Brackenclaw 4.3% "You know, back in the day…my nickname used to be Cream Puff." His cat was designed immediately after he got his hair cut short; it used to be at least shoulder length, and his cat design reflects the haircut--it would otherwise have been a longhaired ca. The first picture of Brackenclaw I ever drew depicted him as a green-eyed gray cat, but I apparently switched the colors with the design for another person with the same name. #2 Jayflight 3.6% "That was a fun day. I sat on her lap. Then she sat on my lap. Then I shot myself with a rubber band. And then again because she asked." The most effective way I found to retaliate harmlessly against Emberheart was to act like Jayflight…yet the two of them are friends? #3 Elkleap 0.5% "I did my homework during my house last night." Old! Well, not old-old, but older than any of the other cats pictured in this celebration. #4 Kestrelfur 0.6% "I wonder if I could get rid of the sun." Although he graduated, people in my class still talk about him all the time. He's like one big meme. #5 Jaggedtuft 8.6% "Scraaaar! Skreeeaarrr! Rhaaa!" I used to have a crush on him, but we haven't spoken in two and a half years, because he started ignoring me when he found out. #6 Mothcloud 1.1% "I literally packed myself the best lunch ever! Wanna see? I'll show you!" I think I was rude to her many years ago at Girl Scout day camp. #7 Ebonyclaw 1.9% "I'm scared of unicorns. They're pointy." Her name is a variant of mine. We were in Girl Scouts together. #8 Killdeerfrost 2.2% "You would taste good with bleach." His name is spelled differently from the usual spelling, and his middle name is an even more egregious example of the same thing. #9 Fishfeather 6.5% "I may be odd, but I'm not odd." When I sign up for not-super-important things, the kind of thing where you don't want to put in your real birthday, I've always had a consistent date that I use for this, which isn't too far off from the real day. That day is Fishfeather's birthday. #10 Locustfang 0.8% "I had to write an eight hundred letter essay." His cat character is a Cornish Rex! But in real life, his pet cat is named Lizzie, and he gets really defensive about it. #11 Coldwhisker 2% "And then I can ask you if you're going to put makeup on the cat." He's a big fan of Gorillaz, and unrelatedly, he completely forgot who I was between the squirrel incident and the next school year. #12 Stonefrost 2.9% "Why do you keep doing weird things to me?" He tells bad jokes and doesn't pick up on hints very well. Also, I forgot to shade him. #13 Amberfang 1.8% "Have you ever considered that he's kind of cute? Because he is, in a nerdy way. Kind of like you, except a dude. And cute." Haha we used to be best friends but then everything fell apart! But that's okay I guess. #14 Hollyfrost 37.1% "I would not make a very good lizard." Loves geese. #15 Basilstripe 0.5% "Salad." He is capable of explaining the history of Basic coding in extensive detail. #16 Nighttail 2.2% "I'm in love with this article!" When I told him about my synesthesia, he thought I was colorblind. Also, I remember the day I met him, but I can't explain because his (full) name is very relevant to why I remember this. The basic gist is that I misheard his name as a common phrase. #17 Spiderfang 1.6% "Oh! I'll be an apple farmer collector! And collect apple farmers!" She's my oldest friend (of the ones I have not had "gaps" in the friendship with), but also my youngest friend (this fact became outdated when I became friends with Mousefang). #18 Agateclaw 1.8% "Wanting to take you and Pebblefall to Olive Garden during school is probably the most logical decision I've ever made. It's more logical than wanting to leave school and avenge the Squid King." In first grade, she left a note at my house saying how much she hated me and that she was never coming back. #19 Ashtail 8.4% "Where do sprinkles come from?" On the day she was born, I was being babysat by my neighbor. It was also my neighbor's birthday, so we went to a fancy restaurant that even my parents have never been to. #20 Minnowcloud 0.6% "Yeah! And (I tattled on) Hollyfrost, 'cause she was laughing! She's still laughing." She is actually Buzzardsplash's sister! #21 Cobrajaw 0.1% "Wait! No! We can't start! Get it off the floor! Pick it up! You can't have it on the floor! Look! It's right there! On the floor! Pick it up! Get it off the floor! Pick! Up! Your! Phone!" Cobrajaw is named Cobrajaw because it matches Adderbite (snake mouth). The same logic applies to Boatooth, and Aspwhisker was almost named Aspfang before I realized that also matched and we couldn't have that, now, could we? #22 Hyenafang 0.6% "I'm smarter than the average raccoon. Wait, raccoons are smart. How smart do I have to be!?" He's the tallest on this list, although not the tallest in the comics--Mallowfang at least is definitely taller. #23 Adderbite 27% "I'm annoying Emeraldheart and he's being all mean about it!" The best ever…but we avoided each other for two years because of accidental negative first impressions and only became friends because she went out of her way to talk to me so she could be in the comics. #24 Meadowblaze 2.1% "I was just sniffing your knee there for a minute." She and the pumpkin-pie-tabby math teacher got in an argument once because he accidentally asked her how her cheerleading competition went, and she's a dancer, not a cheerleader. #25 Riverlight 0.5% "My head's too small. Let's talk about that." One of the many people I have heard loudly deny having an accent while speaking with a strong Chicago accent. #26 Creekwhisker 1.5% "Always remember: x equals four." x=4. #27 Calicopelt 0.6% "And time is in inches!" Her favorite video is the Herding Cats ad. #28 Emeraldheart 3% "It would be fun to throw you out a window." One time he threw a penny at me because I told him he had never thrown anything at me before. #29 Lilypetal 0.8% "Do you also put them up your nose?" Has two very small dogs that live in the kitchen area of one of her houses. #30 Lynxtuft 2.2% "Hey, look, the rain is precipitating!" We call her Muscles, Lou, and John Cena. #31 Partridgepelt 0.7% "You could be…Cinderella… before the fairy godmother." 99.38% sass. #32 Juniperpelt 1.3% "Remember when my basement smelled like that? But then we took Dr. Pepper down there!" In a roundabout way, he was the reason Adderbite and I ever really met the posse (we would have met the -frosts and Slick but not thought anything of them). #33 Blackstep 0.5% "I don't know you! Call me Blackstep!" He answers reluctantly to both Poochie and Pooch Jr. #34 Shadeddream 1% "Are you scaring childs? Children? Hold on, hold on…no, I'll just make it worse." Her mom is eeeeeeevil, so I'm not really supposed to be her friend, but that's okay. She's also a writer. #35 Emberheart 3% "Let's pretend we are conversing." Wow, what a great friend! That was sarcasm. #36 Crowspots 2.1% "Ha! She high-fived ME first!" He always looks like he's laughing at someone, and that might be because he is, but I don't know…I like to think he's laughing at the memes inside his heart. 2000 comicsOct 8, 2016 – 24 redesigned cats with the prefix unchanged #1 Hollyfrost 16.4% I would never actually use a design this complicated for a cat likely to show up often. #2 Adderbite 9.9% At the time I originally designed her I did not realize she hated yellow. #3 Ashtail 2.1% Fluffy! #4 Emeraldheart 1% He needed to be listed, but I couldn’t come up with a meaningfully different design. #5 Murretail 2.1% Smoother colors would avoid the temporary error. #6 Lynxtuft 2.4% Spotted like a lynx; this is probably closer to Old LynxtuftTM from way before the comics started. #7 Ebonyclaw 0.5% A harlequin cat. #8 Jackalclaw 8% Closer in color to a jackal. #9 Jasperstripe 2.1% Okay, I actually really like these colors together, and I regret making him such a standard brown, so it’s possible these colors will show up in a design sometime. #10 Locustfang 3.9% Unfortunately I cannot put any properly robotic-appearing cats in the comic. #11 Lilypetal 1.5% Hmm. #12 Marblenose 2.1% This one looks more like marble. #13 Swanfire 1% This was what I intended her design to be in the first place, but it turned out I had put black as the back brush color and had orange on the actual brush, and I liked how that looked, so I added the –fire. #14 Nighttail 1.6% I like having Night- not be a solid black cat. #15 Brindlefoot 2.3% Honestly, where do you go from the old design? #16 Mallowfang 0.9% Mallownose is the name I originally wanted to use for Mallowfang, but that was a canon character, so I didn't. #17 Killdeerfrost 1% Killdeers are more brown than gray, but I wanted the twins to have the same base color. #18 Stonefrost 2.1% Stones, well, they can be brown, but it isn't most people's association. The designs for the twins are what almost was! #19 Spiderfang 5.8% Spiderfang's design was kind of a "well, this works." #20 Mousefern 3.2% Maybe a bit complicated? #21 Brackenclaw 0.5% Hey, he used to have long hair. #22 Owlclaw 0.1% The –bush in Owlbush is an old joke, but I’m not sure how it started. #23 Creekwhisker 2.5% Like...a rippling creek? #24 Mothcloud 1.9% This Mothwillow is not as good as I was hoping. 3000 comicsApr 29, 2017 – 22 cats as dogs, I know nothing about dogs, somewhat referenced #1 Stonefrost – Basenji 0.4% Basenjis are the quiet dogs, right? Also, important: I could not find a pencil sharpener, and all of my brown pencils are heavily used, so the colors are a bit off. #2 Anemonetail – Corgi 4.3% Corgis are fun. #3 Spiderfang – Pug 2.1% Okay, I know the squished faces hurt them, but pugs are still silly. #4 Whimbrelsong – Shiba Inu 1.3% Yes, I know this is the doge meme dog, but they’re also really cute dogs (tangent: turns out shiba inus are pretty small, actually, and akita inus are the size I thought shiba inus were). #5 Nighttail – Boston Terrier 11.2% One time Adderbite and I found a dog named Jill and eventually managed to find her home…we think Jill was a Boston terrier/French bulldog mix. #6 Jacarandapetal – Yorkie 3.9% This is what they look like, right??? #7 Adderbite – Greyhound 10.8% She likes to call dogs tall, so I made her a tall dog. #8 Copperpelt – Dachshund 1.6% I was already going to make him a dachshund, but then Adderbite also told me to make him a dachshund, so... #9 Lynxtuft – Dogo Argentino 1.2% Had to google “strong dog” to find this one. #10 Zorilstripe – Doberman Pinscher 1.3% I guess? #11 Lorisleap – Dalmatian 3.5% A long time ago I had a babysitter with a very nice Dalmatian. #12 Chipmunkfur – Collie 2.6% Collies are cool. #13 Cinnamontuft – New Guinea Singing Dog 1.1% Once I saw something on the TV (probably Dogs 101) about New Guinea singing dogs, and I thought they looked cool. #14 Locustfang – Poodle 0.1% I almost googled “curly dog” but then I remembered poodles existed. #15 Hollyfrost – Scottish Terrier 9.8% My neighbor used to have a Scottie, and it was one of three dogs I wasn’t afraid of. #16 Driftspots – Rottweiler 2% A lot of people find them intimidating, but they’re still nice dogs. #17 Jaggedtuft – Papillon 1% Haha fluffy ears…this is probably Snazzy Jaggedtuft. #18 Ruestep – French Bulldog 4.1% This was the last one to be colored in, so my pencils were basically dead by then. #19 Ashtail – Pomeranian 2.8% I showed her the drawing before putting her name on it from across the room and she said “me,” so it looks like I chose well (also I didn’t reference this one). #20 Brindlefoot – Curly Coated Retriever 0.1% I googled “swimming dogs” for this one. #21 Tealwhisker – Husky 0.4% When I asked what the best dog was, was she said a wolf, and huskies look a lot like wolves. #22 Myotissong – Chihuahua 4.5% Annoying, endearing, or both? You decide. 4000 comicsAug 18, 2019 - 22 Pokémon with changed appearances and elemental types 1. Adderbite: Charizard (Fire/Dragon) 8.2% Charizard’s hot fire breath can melt anything. Snake Charizard breathes pink fire that gives off a poisonous smoke. Despite its legs, I have on good authority that it is a snake. 2. Hollyfrost: Luxray (Psychic/Poison) 8.7% Luxray can see through walls. Psion Luxray can see the future. As a psion it seems to share some of original Luxray’s affinity toward electricity. 3. Ashtail: Delphox (Fire/Flying) 1.6% Delphox can summon fire into a whirling vortex. Smoky Delphox throws a spinning fiery stick high into the air and catches it with ease. On the rare occasion that it drops the stick, this only results in more fire. 4. Martenclaw: Garchomp (Rock/Fighting) 4.5% Garchomp’s scales are sharp enough to injure its assailants. Ruby Garchomp climbs vertical surfaces with its powerful gemstone claws. Compared to the power with which it can attack, it seems surprisingly fragile. 5. Kyanitefang: Dedenne (Fire/Fairy) 3.2% Dedenne shoots energy out of its whiskers. Hamster Dedenne rubs its whiskers together to create fire. Once it starts a fire, it can disappear into a large blaze to evade foes. 6. Earwigtail: Furret (Grass) 0.3% Furret builds tunnels too small for other Pokémon to enter. Green Furret cuts things such as grass with its forked tail like scissors. It is considered lucky. 7. Jacanafeather: Rapidash (Water/Grass) 1% Rapidash runs at 150 mph and will race any opponent. River Rapidash spends its time swimming up and down streams, showing off to those on shore. Joining it in the water is not recommended. 8. Eidelweissclaw: Porygon-Z (Bug) 3.7% Porygon-Z had its programming modified for extradimensional activities, but now it behaves strangely. Spiral Porygon-Z was upgraded with a buggy code. It seems friendly, but it has the capability to destroy various machines. 9. Eclipsewhisker: Pyroar (Ghost/Steel) 3.6% Pyroar can breathe fire over 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit but eats its prey raw. Ghostly Pyroar breathes a cold spectral flame. Its purple and green flames can seem to blow away in the wind, but that is only the image; the flame itself remains in place. 10. Millipedetail: Scolipede (Bug/Ghost) 1.9% Scolipede chases down and poisons its opponents aggressively. Shed Shell Scolipede has lost its outer covering and is now soft to the touch. It drags around its lost exoskeleton as armor. 11. Gorsetalon: Goodra (Fire) 5.7% Goodra is a friendly Pokémon whose hugs leave slime on its trainer. Magma Goodra leaves a trail of molten lava wherever it goes. It cannot hug its trainer but does very well finding Pokémon friends that can tolerate its temperature. 12. Sealwhisker: Altaria (Ice) 4% Altaria hums as it flies through the sky like a cloud. Penguin Altaria slides around in a fluffy pile of snow. When it swims, some of its snow melts into the water, but more water accumulates into the snow pile as well. 13. Sablenose: Glaceon (Water) 2.6% Glaceon freezes the air around itself into a cloud of diamond dust. Bubble Glaceon surrounds itself with a shield of water drops instead. It is extremely effective at regulating the temperature and humidity of its immediate vicinity. 14. Sorrelstep: Pikachu (Fire/Electric) 2.8% Pikachu stores electricity in its cheek pouches. Fire Pikachu can increase or decrease the amount of fire coming out of the dark green stripes on its back, but its cheek fire never goes out. Throwing water on fires it starts can make them spread. 15. Breccianose: Primarina (Fairy/Dark) 5.8% Primarina controls large bubbles of water with its beautiful songs. Pastel Goth Primarina is a playful siren that lures others into the water and can be heard from far away. Sailors avoid it at all costs. 16. Hornetwing: Beedrill (Bug/Grass) 4% Beedrill attacks in swarms with powerful poison stingers. Rose Beedrill does not generate its own toxins, but getting poked by its prickles can very easily lead to infection. Its nests are made of pulped wood. 17. Sharpfang: Skarmory (Normal/Flying) 2.5% Skarmory is a metal bird that looks heavy but is actually hollow and light. Bird-of-Paradise Skarmory is sometimes thought to fly its entire life without landing, but this is not true. It actually spends quite a bit of time on the ground, and even dances. 18. Limewhisker: Lopunny (Ice/Fairy) 3% Lopunny is generally timid but can kick very powerfully with its hind legs. Arctic Lopunny, like its counterpart, sheds its fur twice a year, but unlike its counterpart turns white in winter. Its fur is known for being especially warm. 19. Herringsplash: Purugly (Grass) 1.5% Purugly steals other Pokémon’s nests, and if challenged, it will glare until its opponent leaves. Bramble Purugly sprouts thorny vines out of its body. Even so, it will still take over other nests, covering the nest in brambles so that it is too uncomfortable for the original owner. 20. Carnationcloud: Swanna (Electric/Flying) 2.3% Swanna looks elegant, but it also has extremely powerful wings. Flamingo Swanna begins its life as a white bird like Swanna, but the Clauncher it eats turn its feathers bright pink. It seems the pigments of shiny Clauncher may be the cause of shiny Flamingo Swanna. 21. Vincapool: Noivern (Flying/Dark) 0.2% Noivern is a fruit-eating bat with a surprisingly volatile disposition. Vampire Noivern is more reserved but also seeks out blood to drink all night. My sources tell me it is probably also a hacker. 22. Peatfeather: Sceptile (Grass/Ground) 5.6% Sceptile is very agile, and the leaves on its arms are sharp enough to cut down trees. Autumn Sceptile does not spend much of its time in the trees but prefers the forest floor. It no longer produces its own chlorophyll since evolving.

This is obviously a whole lot of cats—I’ve been at this since seventh grade and am now in college—so if you can’t find someone just ask! The once-in-a-blue-moon background “extras” such as the harlequin cat in Reserved Seating don’t show up here. Neither do teachers, parents, etc.—anyone with black text for their words. And of course, neither do cats that only appear in IDKTP comics or “Starring (variation of calling them a stranger)” ones. This probably won’t be the most helpful thing ever just due to how many cats there are to keep track of, but back when I didn't have any references up, I got multiple requests to make some. The nose colors are NOT consistent. any cat with a forehead swirl tuftAnteaterclaw Argalifur Celandinepool Joeyfoot Lakepetal Lynxtuft Mistypool Murretail (note: for some time, Murretail’s brown fur looks darker and more solid) Puddlewish Snailwhisker Turtleclaw Zorilstripe solid whiteAirclaw Clearfeather Crocuscloud Egretfeather Fennelfang Heathpetal Jonquilpetal Lightwhisker Morningtail Snowleap VanMostly white with a full-color tail. I'm thinking of making my own comics when school starts (on august 18) it'll be my first year of highschool
Never got around to making comics of this year...

that would be cool! if you do I'll read them (might want to put a link in the comments here just to make sure I see it) and I'll put up a link to it
if you don't then that's fine too, but these things are pretty fun to make as well as to read, so good luck!

Ahhh I love the idea of using spoiler tags to hide the pages. That's awesome and keeps it from cluttering and is just plain cool.
Gotta go off and read the last hundred!!

thank you! I was going to do the 100-per-page thing but then I realized I could just hide them and it would be easier

bookmarked. ;D I'll never miss another update ever!! cool! I'm going to try to start updating again soon but I have summer homework in 4 classes that I neglected (okay I did most of the homework for one class and the homework for another is basically "go to one of these places" with a list of places that people would actually voluntarily visit so those aren't too bad…but the others…)
