Hmmm. Actually, now that I think about it...Alderheart stepping down and leaving with Velvet after AVOS wouldn’t be all that bad an idea. Hm. I’ll work something out. I agree, I always found it weird that the Erins put so much effort into forcing him into the meddie role, with that destiny bull. Especially when TC already had two fully trained and capable seasoned medicine cats. I always felt bad for Alder because he struggled as a warrior and as a medicine cat, and then his POV was pushed aside in favor of Twig and Violet, which makes me feel even more for him. He had little to any relevancy once Violet and Twig were old enough to have POVs. And the only time he got real personal characterization again was when Velvet showed up. Which sucked even more, because the two seemed to genuinely love one another, but Alderheart had to choose his clan over her, which honestly just made it seem even more unfair to him. Like what was the point of him being forced into the meddie role at that point? I can honestly see him choosing to step down at the end of AVoS to go live with Velvet, once his duty is done (SkyClan settling by the lake), and then Jay can train a different character after Leafpool dies. It would fit the timeline well too since Leaf gets iced in between AVoS and TBC. And since Needle/Rain/Tree will be loners they can visit Alder and Velvet any time, since I do think Alder and Needle had a pretty genuine friendship.

Yeah, I was thinking about that, with Needle and Alder rekindling their friendship now that neither are bound by clan code or specific duties. I’m thinking that maybe I can have CherryStorm get together and have kits, and one of them could become the next medicine cat apprentice in TBC.

Now comes the super fun part of planning how Rowanstar, Scorchfur and Violetpaw’s journey is going to go. Just Violetpaw giving the “Oh ffs” sigh as Rowan and Scorch have that passive aggressive energy to eachother, but also her recognizing that they actually make a pretty solid team when they can work together.
Scorchfur being snappy af to most of the loners and kittypets they meet, Rowanstar just wants to find their clanmates without Scorchfur’s temper costing him another life, and Violetpaw gets to be adventurous and see some really cool scenery with her moody psuedo-uncles. Good times.

Good times. Rewrite journey mood: “Violetpaw, can you please pass me that rat?” “Oh! Sure, Rowanstar! Here you go.” Rowanstar purposefully whacking Scorchfur with the rat as he takes it from Violetshine when she passes it over Scorchfur. Rowanstar inspecting the rat and then being like “Thank you, but actually, I think you deserve it more than I do, you can eat first.” “Oh! Thank you!” Scorchfur whacked with the rat again on the pass back, his face has the most massive scowl ever seen in Warrior’s history.

I'm a little late to the party, but these are my opinions personally.
1. Should Skyclan stay at the lake or return to the Gorge by the end of AVOS?
SkyClan should stay at the lake in my opinion. They add an interesting dynamic to the lake Clans that I really do want to keep.
2. Should Dawnpelt live or die?
She should live (and become leader). But even without becoming leader, she needs to survive. Killing her was just cruel.
3. Should Tigerheart and Dovewing stay in Twolegplace or still return with their kits? If they do, just know Tigerheart will not be getting his deputy position back.
Bring them back to the lake, since Shadowsight is an important character in TBC and he should stay an important character. But in that little bit on their way back when Tigerheart gets dropped by the owl, have him actually die.
4. Which name would be better for a RowanTawny second litter kit to respect Goldenflower, Goldenkit or Flowerkit?
Flowerkit

Ohhh ok but also Rowanstar interacting with Dovewing too, I love out of the box interactions.
“So. You’ve been dating my son for years now?”
“Uhm...I...guess so?”
“Wow that’s just great, would you like to date my daughter and bring her here next?”
“U H-“
“Do you have any rats in this place?”

So confusing but so funny XD See at the end of the day people forget that Rowanstar’s a grandpa with a scowl face but who’s actually pretty decent in his older age, so he might look mean and tough but he’s very much a family cat in canon. I wish we got to see him interact with TigerDove’s litter because all 3 kits were said to have his eye color, I thought that was cute.
