I've had a rough couple of days fighting with a mix of my bpd and ptsd on top of friends dumping endless bad news on me (and its only halfway through the week gd) and considered opening up about it on here again, specifically in this den since it's my space and hardly anybody will ever check it and since its mine I get to decide how to run this shit show. Specifically, I've thought about drawing some art and documenting feelings and thoughts as I'm having them along with. But since its a highly serious thing I don't even know if me trying to be vague with it would fly under the rules. There's things I want to draw and just share with someone- anyone so desperately to be understood by people again. mintedstar/fur what are your thoughts? How vague would I have to be or is something this serious and potentially super dark just off the table? |

To my knowledge, so long as physical violence isn't gone into in detail, more dark topics are allowed. If you get into thoughts of wanting to harm self or others, there's a line there.
So I guess what I'm getting at is dark stuff needs to be vague, but not as much as you're probably thinking.

To my knowledge, so long as physical violence isn't gone into in detail, more dark topics are allowed. If you get into thoughts of wanting to harm self or others, there's a line there. So I guess what I'm getting at is dark stuff needs to be vague, but not as much as you're probably thinking. Not all of it is gonna be that but if I think it's too questionable I'll run it by you in pms first then. |

Elon dropped bitcoin intentionally with his stupid stint and now he's buying and trading the market again and it went right back up. This man has singlehandedly caused a $15k drop in the last month and a $10k rise in the past 48 hours. I hate this man. But also, I'm not an idiot and bought at the dip because I called his bluff so haha, my gain losers.

My migraines have been really really terrible for days so I finally took my stronger meds for it again and now it feels like my head is draining. I don't know how else to explain it but the pressure isnt as intense anymore. Except I'm tasting metal again and i just feel dizzy and sick.

That is some comfort. Headaches like that sound terrible. Hopefully the metal taste goes away soon though. I never used to have a whole lot of migraines as a kid and they were almost always noise related but the chiari ones I get now are on an entirely other level and not really caused by anything external. The best way I can describe it is it feels like your skull is full of stuff. Almost like being congested really bad during a cold or flu but the stuffiness is all at the back of the head and top of your skull. If I don't lay down or try to ignore it, that's when it feels like the pain creeps behind my eyes and my face goes numb/twitchy and then I really need to lay down and not do anything or it can send me to the hospital because I'll start to feel really faint and be at risk of falling.
My current medication regimin is just a mix of meloxicam and generic over the counter headache meds or caffeine and aspirin. Basically anything that will reduce my muscle inflammation and increase blood flow.

Oh, they also tend to make me Really Moody but being in random amounts of pain make anyone moody tbh. It sucks. I've wondered multiple times if my mood swings are actually because I have BPD or because I'm just in pain and confused and whether or not getting the surgery will fix the chiari might also fix my psychological issues?
A lot can go wrong with the brain...

Oof. All of that sounds really uncomfortable, to make a gross understatement.
Hopefully the effects stay away for the time being. Or as you said, that at least it is better right now.
I'm not sure, but yes I can assuredly agree that the brain is weird.

I wish I could have just stayed an asymptomatic case. Like whyyyy do I have to suddenly have symptoms now when I didn't have them at all growing up or even shortly after moving out. I didn't even know I had it until they did an MRI on me for something else and found it, and then a year later when I turned 20 is kinda when they started and have just gotten worse since.
At least my neurologist is a really nice lady.
