"I don't really care what element it is," Austin said with a grin. "I have one, and that was the goal of enrolling. Well, no, it was the goal after getting here. Enrolling was more or less of a dare me and the boys did for fun. We all put in applications, but we didn't think we would qualify. Yet here I am!
"Although..." His energetic speech slowed a little, and his grin turned from boisterous to a bit abashed. "I still thought it might be a joke until I found the egg. After all, most of the students here come from Rider families, right? Not too many randoms get picked, and even then it's from the people that have the money to spend on the stuff required to be one. But the jokes over it seems, and it's actually the real deal. Kind of weird to think about, huh?"

Much to Trey's dismay, Austin did not, in fact, wake up from the alarm. It continued to sing its shrill song for fifteen minutes, and yet there was no sign of waking from the tall boy. He, too, had had some difficulties falling asleep last night. Back home, he still shared a room with his younger brother, so he was used to bantering and pestering him, throwing insults back and forth before both of them had settled in to sleep. Trey wasn't one to banter like that. He had tried, and his roommate had thought he was being serious. So he quickly learned that insults would be a no-go too. So the night had been quiet. While that might have been good for some, it just took him a little longer to figure out how to wind down and get settled.
Having the egg by his bed helped. Austin had spent at least 20 minutes going back and forth with the wyvern inside. Pressing his mind to connect with the wyvern, and vice versa. There wasn't much in conversation wise, but it was pretty cool having something be connected mentally to him.
Eventually he fell asleep, and just like always, he slept like the dead. It would have taken nothing short of the dorm room crashing down around him to pull him from his sleep.

(Austin didn't know. He's still half asleep. XD)
It didn't take long for Austin to get ready for the day. Believe it or not, this wasn't the first time he had a short amount of time to be at school. So with maybe a minute to spare, he walked out of the bathroom, dressed and freshened up. He didn't have time for a full shower, but he did make sure he was decent and presentable.
As he went to go get his egg, he was a little surprised to see that Trey was still there. He would have been sure he would have headed in to breakfast. "So, what do you think today is going to be like?" He asked, transferring his egg back into the carrying case. Once secured, he hefted it over his shoulder.

Trey watched him a moment, then slowly offered a hand. "Would you like me to hold something?"
( Okay. I'll post his and Elizabeth's, and my two's as well, on the front page. But first: which sport and club would they want?
Sports Options: football, cross country, field hockey (fall); skiing & snowboarding, gymnastics, basketball (winter), volleyball, soccer, baseball (spring), swimming (year-round)
Club Options: yearbook, journalism, wyvern care, book club (“library duty”), drama
So, I'll need three sports for both, one for each season, and one club each. 😉 )

(Austin: football, snowboarding (he's never experienced snow or done so before, but he's sure not going to pass up the opportunity to learn XD), baseball, and Wyvern care.
Elizabeth: Cross Country, Volleyball, swimming, and drama. Don't know if she'll be a drama kid, but I'm going to try it out. XD)
"Nah, I got it!" Austin told him. He did have it, after a good minute of struggle. He found the schedule and pulled it out of the carrying case with a "A-ha!" He took a second to set everything to rights before looking at the paper to see what his first class was.

"Finally, something we agree on."
They arrived at the cafeteria. If they had thought it was full yesterday, they quickly learned how wrong they'd been. Whereas yesterday there had been around seventy boys, now there were over two hundred. The Second, Third, and Fourth Years had appeared at last, and they seemed to take up the whole space.
Trey stared in shock for a moment, then moved to join the food line. Unlike dinner, they weren't given a buffet full of options. Instead, every student was given a large tray and they all had the same foods on them: bacon, eggs, sausage, hash browns, toast, a fruit bowl, and their choice of pancakes or waffles. They also got to choose how they wanted their eggs and what kind of toast they preferred. At the end of the line they could add their choice of condiments: maple syrup, ketchup, peanut butter and jam, butter, and whipped cream. And finally, they were given a large glass of their choice: orange juice, apple juice, or milk. A sign at the very end of the line proclaimed that any second helpings could only be received until 7:10am.

"You saying you haven't agreed with me on anything yet? Harsh," Austin said was a mock offense. He knew he wasn't a person to get along well with right out the gate, so the statement did not hurt him.
Any further conversation on the topic was put on the back burner when they entered the cafeteria. He let out a small whistle. He had been expecting the same amount of students as there had been at dinner. Yet they stood to the side of a sea of boys, a mixture of ages. It took him a minute to realize that this must have been the students, those that have been here longer. He didn't know why the amount surprised him, but for a moment, he was speechless. "Well, dang, looks like there's more people here than I thought. How many do you think I can convince to start a wave?" he asked.
