Moonclan Flashpaw-Forest-Thistlepaw and Brightpaw Flashpaw caught the egg being carefully. She brought it over to the hush and placed it underneath. "Want me to go get the egg," she asked Brightpaw, but since the time was still up there she felt it would be the smartest option for Brightoaw to retrieve the last egg. She looked to Thistlepaw and nodded in agreement. "We are! I'm sure everyone will be happy with what we will be giving them!" |

Brightpaw Brightpaw shook his head. "I'll go get it real quick," he meowed and went back up the tree to retrieve the last egg. Despite almost dropping it once, he was able to pass it over to the nearest of his fellow apprentices. Back on solid ground, he looked proudly at Flashpaw and Thistlepaw. "We aren't doing too bad, huh? Think of what we could get with all four of us!" |

🌙 Thistlepaw nodded enthousiastically at his denmates. He picked up the last egg from Brightpaw and stashed it safely under the bush. "I hope Pinkpaw won't mind we started already without her." He meowed, it wouldn't be nice if the she-cat would feel left out. That would be the opposite of what they're trying to do with this initiative.

Moonclan Flahpaw-Forest-Thistlepaw and Brightpaw "I'm sure she will understand," she said flicking her tail. She didn't want Pinkpaw to feel bad. "Maybe we could find something extra nice to get for her to make up for starting with out her though." She nudged the tom playfully. "Who knows maybe she would like something nice from you." She wanted to see if he would react to it, trying to figure out if the tom had someone else he thought of besides his mentor. |

(Haha I actually don't really know what I'm doing to poor lil Thistlepaw. Should he have a crush on Flashpaw? Or Pinkpaw? What do you guys think? )
🌙 “That’s a very good idea actually-” Thistlepaw’s words broke off at Flashpaw’s last comment and he nearly choked on the air coming to a halt in his mouth. “I.. ehh.. yeah.” He fumbled with his white paws, turning his blue gaze to the dirt he was playing with. Embarrassment grew hot inside of the tom, why couldn’t he jus be confident like the other apprentices? There was no shame in liking someone but he just couldn’t get the words out of his mouth.

(Sorry for the delay!) ☀️ Tigerpaw took a few steps back before speeding up to leap at the treebark. With her claws unsheated she managed to get a hold on the wood. Her tail swished a little unsure beneath her body. After a short moment of hesitation she tried to mimic the way she had seen Mallowpool climb earlier. She pushed her body up with her hindlegs, digging her nails in the bark. Some taillengths above her she could see the red fluff of the squirrel hiding in the leaves. With renewed determination the apprentice climbed higher and higher until she reached a branch from where she could hopefully scare their prey into the claws of her mentor. Her climb hadn’t been flawless and her paws had slipped a few times but she had made it without falling down. With her amber gaze set on the ‘prize’ she lunged at the squirrel. It rushed down towards Mallowpool, squeaking loudly. Tigerpaw craned her neck to glance down to see whether they had succeeded. In a heartbeat the apprentice tipped over, losing her balance. She let out a startled scream while she fell through twigs and leaves. Desperately she tried to get a hold of anything within reach, hoping to save herself from a hard fall. Luckily the she-cat could get a grip onto a low branch, her claws trailing deep into the wood. Her heart raced in her chest and her eyes were as big as two shining suns but aside from a few cuts and scratches she was fine. 🌙 Thistlepaw considered Brightpaw’s answer for a moment, twitching his whiskers thoughtfully. “I guess you’re right.” He glanced over at Flashpaw to see what she wanted to do. “What do you think, should we go already? I’m sure we can find nicer things on the shore but I guess Brightpaw will be lonely without us too.” He chuckled softly while his gaze followed Brightpaw’s movements as he dropped the acorns on their pile.

She'd been so focused on catching the prey that she didn't notice Tigerpaws predicament until the apprentice let out a startled yelp. Her claws had closed around the squirrel and she'd quickly killed it, but the warrior was fast to let it drop and run over to the tree "Are you alright Tigerpaw?" she called up, looking to where her apprentice had gripped a lower branch "Come down if you can, take your time." |

"Maybe you could get her some nice feathers or shells when we get to the beach." She suggested to him, she wasn't fully sure what Pinkpaw would like, but hopefully the other apprentice could get ideas on what to give to Pinkpaw. |

(Turns out the love triangle wasn't Amberpaw, Tigerpaw and Koipaw - it was Thistlepaw, Flashpaw and Pinkpaw lol

Brightpaw Brightpaw watched Flashpaw and Thistlepaw, vaguely amused by their exchange. Perhaps he'd been wrong about the other tom's affections for Flashpaw. "Do you think it'd be okay to leave everything here, unguarded?" He cut in, pointing with his tail to the collection of eggs, stones, nuts and feathers. There was also Brightpaw's mouse which might be smelt by passing warriors if the apprentice's scent wasn't strong enough to cover it.

Moonclan Flashpaw-Forest-Brightpaw, Thistlepaw Flashpaw looked to the bush. "Maybe we could bury the mouse under everything, as hopefully they could mask the scent of your mouse," she offered walking over. "For the eggs, those will be hard with how fragile they can be..." She didn't like the idea of leaving the eggs unguarded as well, as predators might be able to find them, and with how close to camp they were. She flicked her tail in thought. "Or we could find an old fox den or something, the scent should still be strong enough to mask it, but it will be safe to put them there right?" |

(Hmmm being rejected would totally break his heart because he’s such a sweet baby. But it would be fun for character development lol let’s do ittttt. I do like his friendship with Flashpaw though, so I guess he’ll be leaning on her when he’s sad about Pinkpaw and maybe something could grow between them who knows 😃 )
☀️ “Ehh.. yes.” Tigerpaw meowed hesitatingly. She contemplated whether it was better to pull herself up or to just lower herself and drop down. After a short moment of doubt she decided the latter would probably be best. Slowly she stretched out her frontlegs and she elongated her body before she retracted her claws from the wood. With a thud the apprentice hit the ground as she landed safely on her paws. Visibly relieved to be back on the forest floor again she let out a shaky breath. “That could’ve gone better...” She muttered softly, giving her mentor a sheepish grin.
🌙 Thistlepaw turned his head away, smiling softly while he felt his pelt grow hot with the stares of Flashpaw and Brightpaw. He couldn’t hide it forever, could he? Glad that the attention was off him he chimed in with Flashpaw. “We can’t leave the eggs under the bush, that’s for sure. I don’t know if we have an old fox den nearby though.” His ears twitched thoughtfully on top of his head.

Brightpaw "Yeah, that sounds like it'd work. No-one would smell it under there," Brightpaw meowed enthusiastically, his ears angled foreword. Burying the mouse would definitely help them keep it secret, but the eggs didn't seem so easy to hide. "As for fox dens... I don't think we should take them too far away. There aren't any foxes on the island right now, right?" |

If a fox had been around it would certainly have alarmed Briarstar.” He meowed, thoughtfully twitching his tail behind him. “We can try to bury them under a tree root?” He glanced around, hoping to find a root that had grown a little above the ground. A few taillenghts down the way he spotted one that seemed suitable for their plans. “What do you think of this place?” He suggested at his denmates.

Brightpaw Brightpaw murmured in affirmation. When Thistlepaw gestured towards the tree root, he nodded agreeably. "Not bad. Their scent might still be an issue, but they'll be more protected there than here," he meowed and reached down to pick an egg back up. Padding the few taillengths to the tree root in question, he was careful as to not pierce the delicate shell. Once there, he tested the earth with one paw. Not too hard, we can dig here. He beckoned with his tail for the other two apprentices to come help him. |

🌙 “Oh.. yeah the scent. I forgot about that.” Thistlepaw’s ears twitched softly as he followed Brightpaw to where the eggs could be buried. His ideas weren’t always fully thought through but he meant well. Hopefully nobody would notice the eggs hidden here, it wasn’t a common place to find eggs underground anyway so maybe the warriors wouldn’t pay attention to it. He stretched out his white toes to dig a big chunk of dirt away under the root. Repeating this move a few times a shallow hole started to form. “Should it be deeper?” He asked, looking back at the other two apprentices.

She laughed lightly and said "You're still learning, that was quite the impressive save. Next time try to be more careful." honestly she should have been the one saying that before Tigerpaw nearly fell, but Mallowpool wasn't the type to really worry about that sort of thing. It had gotten her in trouble before "Let's return to camp." she said, picking up one of the squirrels and turning to head back.

☀️ Tigerpaw nodded at her mentor. “Thanks, I’m glad you caught the squirrel.” She smiled and stretched her white legs in front of her. She could feel her muscles starting to ache a little from the sudden movements. Walking after Mallowpool she picked up the other squirrel as they made their way back over to camp. It had been a good training day but her tree-climbing skills still needed some work. Maybe she’d have her mother look at the few cuts and scratches on her pelt and she’d probably have sore muscles for some time. However, she felt confident that she would be fully okay in a few days again.

The warrior would have recommended they go to the medicine cat den and make sure Tigerpaw was ok but... well, that wasn't exactly an option right now. She sighed softly to herself and shook her head. When they got back she set the prey down and looked to her apprentice "You did good today!! Take the rest of the day off, unless something comes up. You'll want to rest up after that fall."

☀️ Tigerpaw dropped the squirrel on the freshkill pile and nodded at Mallowpool. The warrior was right, some rest would be good for her body. But first she’d go look for Koipaw and Amberpaw to tell her friends about her crazy climbing adventure, maybe they had an interesting training day as well. “Thanks Mallowpool, I’ll take it easy today!” She smiled and waved her striped tail in goodbye as she padded over to the apprentices den, peeping her head inside to look for her denmates.

Brightpaw Brightpaw bent his head to place the egg into the shallow dip they had dug. It settled there nicely, not so deep that they'd struggle to dig it back up, but deep enough that the soil would help to cover the scent. I think this is pretty okay," he announced and doubled back to grab another of the eggs. "If you guys are still worried, maybe we could find some wild garlic or something strong-smelling to put on top?"☀️
Amberpaw Amberpaw had been resting in the apprentice's when Tigerpaw poked her head inside. His ears pricked as soon as he saw her, his coppery eyes rounding happily in welcome. He scanned her face, wondering how she was feeling. After all, it would be understandable if she was still feeling upset from last night. She's smiling though, that's a relief... "H-hey," he meowed, not sure why he was feeling nervous all of a sudden. "Did you just get back?" |

🌙 “Or some lavender. But wouldn’t it stand out to have some smelly twigs or something on top? Maybe we could bury it with the eggs.” Thistlepaw suggested, a lavender stem could be easily stripped off the small fragnant flowers which could be mixed with the dirt. A little wild garlic on top and nobody would think eggs were hidden here, right? His blue gaze scanned the area around them, looking for one of the two. Lifting his nose in the air he tried to catch the scent of the plants on the soft wind.
☀️ “Yeah I did.” A warm fuzzy feeling washed over Tigerpaw once her amber gaze rested on the ginger tom. Some adrenaline still pulsed through her from training and her fur was messy with twigs, leaves and the occasional dried up blooddrop from the small cuts. Normally she would’ve taken some time to clean up before meeting her friends but with everything going on she just craved the comfort of their presence. Training had been a welcome distraction from the stress in Sunclan camp too, making it easier on her to push the worries about her mother to the back of her mind. “Wanna share some prey? We caught some squirrels today.”

Brightpaw Brightpaw smiled approvingly at the other tom. "Perfect! You're pretty smart, you know, Thistlepaw." He travelled back and forth until all the eggs had been retrieved from the bush. Then he sat back for a moment, letting the gentle breeze ruffle his whiskers as he combed the air for pungent flowers. "Lavender, wild garlic..." He mumbled under his breath. Failing to find anything immediately, he got back to his paws and begun to pace around the area in small circles. "Hmm, is that some lavender? Kind of north-ish?" He waved his tail in the general direction that had grabbed his attention, sure that he smelt something they could use.

Amberpaw Amberpaw give his pelt a quick shake to dislodge any scraps of moss and pushed himself to his paws. She looks like a warrior, he realised as his gaze flickered over her messy fur. It was strange to think that once they had been kits playing together in the nursery when, now, the day they were given their warrior names was fast approaching. I guess she'll get hers first. Hoping he hadn't been staring, Amberpaw glanced around him hurriedly. "I'd love to, I don't know where Koipaw's gone off to though," he admitted. "Shall we see if we can find him?" |

🌙 “Uhh, thanks..” Thistlepaw stammered and smiled shyly at Brightpaw as he lowered his nose again. It felt good to be complimented but he never really knew how to handle it. He wasn’t one to love being the center of attention. Luckily Brightpaw quickly went on with their task. Thistlepaw’s gaze followed the direction Brightpaw was pointing at. It did look like lavender from where they were sitting. “It does seem like it.” He meowed and padded towards the plant. On closer inspection it turned out to be a blooming lavender plant, surely with enough stems to use for the eggs in the hole. He loved the smell, it always reminded him of the greenleaf days and bees buzzing around.
☀️ Tigerpaw nodded and offered Amberpaw a smile. She’d noticed the tom had been staring a little, maybe her fur had been a bigger mess than she thought. Turning her neck she gave a few quick embarrassed licks over her flank. For some reason her pelt had grown hot under his gaze. “I guess he’s somewhere resting from his training too.” She meowed and gestured for him to follow her out of the apprentices den. Her amber gaze scanned the clearing for Koipaw’s multicolored pelt.

Amberpaw Amberpaw padded out of the den behind her, feeling slightly embarrassed himself. More and more, spending time with Tigerpaw was starting to feel different, strange, as though their relationship had changed somehow without him even noticing. It wasn't entirely unwelcome but it made him feel nervous. "Yeah," he agreed, also glancing around the clearing for their friend. "I wonder what he got up to today." His crooked tail flicked to the side, grazing the floor and his whiskers twitched with amusement as he opened his mouth to speak again. "I've been drying out after my swimming lesson with Willowsong."

(Hmmm you're right haha. Maybe they can talk a little and then we can move on with Meadowsweet and Ripplecatcher taking the apprentices out to lead Pinestripe away?)
☀️ When Tigerpaw couldn't spot Koipaw in camp she casually started to walk towards the freshkill pile. Her stomach felt empty from training all morning and hopefully they'd be easy to spot for their friend there. While she rummaged through the pile for something small her ears perked up with interest as Amberpaw mentioned his training. "Oh yeah! How was your first training session with her?" She asked curiously, looking up from the pile. Her full attention shifted back to the ginger tom. "Must've been different from training with my mom." She'd always imagined Willowsong to be quite stern, so she hoped Amberpaw was still able to have an enjoyable training with the deputy.

Amberpaw Amberpaw hummed lightly, thinking about how to describe his thoughts, and joined Tigerpaw by the pile. "Well ... she wasn't as scary as I thought she'd be, it was even kinda fun," he admitted with a small laugh. "And she seems to be a good mentor even if she is a bit serious." While he had missed Pinestripe's steady warmth, his training session with Willowsong had gone well. What she'd said about him improving his battle skills so he could protect the cats he cared about had made an impression on him. In fact, he knew he wouldn't feel quite so bad about his next battle training session if he kept that advice in mind. "I guess she needs to be serious, being deputy and all." The ginger tabby shrugged and settled into a sitting position. "Anyway, what about you?" |

☀️ “Really?” Tigerpaw smiled surprisedly and hooked a medium sized bird from the pile with her claw, leaving the squirrels to be feasted on by her clanmates. “I’m glad to hear your training went well. I know she has to be serious.. It’s just, I don’t know... I just wish she’d lighten up a little. I mean, we’re family but she hardly acknowledges me.” The apprentice wasn’t really hurt about it. She’d easily made a lot of connections within the clan, it was just weird to her that it didn’t work that way with her own kin. “But I’m sure you’ll learn at lot from her.” Tigerpaw settled down next Amberpaw with the bird and started plucking it, spitting out some feathers before answering his next question. “Well, Mallowpool and I decided I should go for a more edgy look, so she gave me this forest-y makeover. Do you like it?” She asked, lifting her nose mock-smugly in the air. Her amber eyes gave away a sparkle of amusement.

Amberpaw Amberpaw let out a sympathetic sigh and begun to fiddle with one of the plucked feathers. Maybe Willowsong doesn't know how to interact with Tigerpaw, he reflected inwardly, remembering that the she-cat had never been one to spend time in the nursery with her kin. That might just be the kind of cat she is but it probably doesn't feel good for Tigerpaw. He didn't really think it was any of his business to speculate on it further so he turned his attention back to Tigerpaw whose eyes were now gleaming.
"I do, actually!" He answered, unable to hold back a smile. "You look all rough and tough like a real warrior! But wait, you need a finishing touch..." Amberpaw took the feather he'd been playing with and tried to place it behind her ear. It ended up a bit lopsided, causing the tom to look a bit sheepish but he followed it up with a sage nod. "There! Be one with the birds, young Tigerpaw."

☀️ “I am the mighty birdstar, bow before me!” Tigerpaw giggled playfully and carefully blew onto the feathers in front of her, causing them to fly up towards Amberpaw's head. “I guess I did kinda fly today though, so I’m definitely one with the birds.” She grinned and swatted down a feather that twirled just above the ground. “Mallowpool and I were out climbing and catching squirrels and I think I lost my balance or something, so I tumbled down.” The apprentice explained and plucked a few more mouthfulls of feathers from the bird. “This time climbing wasn’t quite as fun as the time we went out together.” She smiled sheepishly, the tree adventure with Amberpaw was a fond memory of hers. Thinking back she remembered the amazing view, the sensation of trying something exciting and new and Amberpaw’s awe-struck gaze as they sat together on the tree branch. It always made her smile. Of course Tigerpaw had romanticized it just a little bit in her mind. Snapping back from her thoughts she pushed the bird towards the ginger tom, offering him the first bite. If she didn't have fur lining her cheeks, she'd have been blushing right now.
