Amberpaw Amberpaw broke out into laughter and lifted a paw to bat kittenishly at the falling feathers, one tickling his nose enough to make him sneeze. He steadied himself with his forepaws, his whiskers twitching. "All hail Birdstar, long may she live," he meowed with mock reverence, then fell quiet to listen to Tigerpaw talk about today's training session. When she mentioned taking a tumble, he winced slightly. That must be where she got those scratches from. Had it been appropriate, he might have suggested that she go to the medicine den just to make extra sure that nothing would get infected. Of course, that wasn't exactly an option anymore. "Do they hurt - the scratches?"
Regardless, listening to her talk about tree-climbing was bringing back memories of the last time they'd climbed together, how impressive the view had been and how happy he'd felt to spend that time with her. Much to Amberpaw's surprise, as though Tigerpaw had read his mind, she mentioned it and he ended up smiling even wider. "Yeah, well, that just means we'll have to do it again sometime, don't you think?" He ventured, hoping that that one excursion could be the first of many. "Then Mallowpool will wonder how you got so good!" When offered the first bite of the bird, he obliged, eager to avoid her gaze.

☀️ Tigerpaw smiled, for a moment she silently reveled over the great friendship she had with Amberpaw as she watched him play with the flying feathers. He always managed to cheer her up and talking to him made her worries melt away like snow in the sun. Was it still just a friendship though? She wasn’t really sure.. And it didn’t matter because she knew whatever their relationship would grow into, she’d be happy to stand by his side. She shook her head at his question. “Hmm they are a little itchy and they feel a bit hot and tingly but it doesn’t really hurt.” Her ears perked up enthousiastically at the tom’s suggestion. She couldn’t wait to see more new things together. Or old things. Going out on adventures together was bound to be fun. “We definitely have to do it again! I bet my muscles will be sore tomorrow though, so I won’t be able to climb with you just yet.” She admitted and casually pawed a soft feather in front of her. “Do you think we’ll still be able to do all the fun stuff together as warriors?” The striped apprentice asked, shifting her amber gaze to the tom. It sported a small hint of worry. She wasn’t sure why the question suddenly came up. Maybe she was scared to become a warrior, would they still have time to be silly together or would they have to be more serious all the time? And what if she became a warrior before Amberpaw? They wouldn't even share dens anymore.

Amberpaw "Whenever you're ready then," Amberpaw mewed understandingly and passed the bird back towards her. The feeling of happiness he'd attached to the memory had almost made him forget how sore he'd felt afterwords; although it'd healed quickly, he'd even lost a claw. Now that Rainfern was no longer with them, they couldn't afford to be so reckless. "I'm sure we can also find other things to do like swimming, hunting, whatever you want." I think I could find anything fun if it was with you.
Tigerpaw's next question shook Amberpaw out of his thoughts and into silence. He wanted to reassure her, yet he had to admit the thought had crossed his mind. "You know I'll always want to spend time with you, Tigerpaw," he said finally, meeting her gaze. "We'll make time to have fun ... even if we do have to be serious at times." I promised you I wouldn't become boring, after all.

The warrior lazed about in the sun, watching as the apprentices chatted excitedly among themselves. He could have asked what they were up to, but it was a right to cause problems when you were an apprentice so he let them be. Besides, they were all good cats. Whatever they were doing wasn't likely to be bad.

"We have plenty of that... hm, maybe some more of that..." the medicine cat mused, looking over their supplies. There were a few things they wanted to head out and collect at some point. Cobwebs being the first thing on their mental list. Unfortunately there was still the issue of the sudden lack of herbs, but cobwebs were always easy enough to find. Keeping a close eye on their good patches of herbs was also incredibly important.🌙 Pinkpaw | with apprentice gang
After hunting with Briarstar for a short while they had started to head back to camp. They passed by an area, and Pinkpaw saw her fellow apprentices in the clearing. She checked with Briarstar, and after being given the ok she headed over to see what they were up to "Hello!" she greeted, padding up to them with a curious expression.☀️ Mallowpool | open
Mallowpool had returned from hunting with her apprentice and was now relaxing in a patch of shade, she had a half finished squirrel in front of her, and she seemed to be more interested in the birds flying above than her unfinished meal. Stretching out, she took another bite, figuring that she should at least finish it in a timely manner.
Koipaw | open
The quiet apprentice had seen his fellow apprentices, but hadn't moved to join them. They were getting quite close, and he hadn't wanted to break the mood they had going. Instead he was resting and cat watching. He wasn't very talkative, but he did enjoy watching the clan cats mingle and go about their daily lives. |

all good!! i've got a job interview to head to an like an hour, hopefully i get hired so i can quit my current one) Sunclan Russetstep-Sunclan Camp-Feversoul Russetstep as usual was sticking off to the side, keeping away from his clanmates. He never was the sociable one out of his litter. His ears twitched as he spotted Feversoul, near the medicine cat den. Memories of what happened to Rainfern flashing through his mind. Guilt clawed at him, he should have done something more to protect the medicine cat. Shaking out his head to clear it from mind he headed over to Feversoul. "Hey," he greeted, with a small wave of his tail. |

Feversoul - Sunclan Camp - With Russetstep
The silver hued tom had been standing near the medicine cat den, staring at it with a calculating but also enraged gleam in his bright orange eyes. If they had let him become the medicine cat then he would never have left the clan. He would have been smarter and made sure to not be killed like Rainfern was. Yes, he felt bad about what had happened to the other but he was also still mad about being denied the chance to follow his true calling. The tom was dragged out of these thoughts though as his brother approached and greeted him. "Oh, hi Russetstep." He turned his gaze to the other as he spoke, giving a small smile to the tom as he did. "How are you doing?" |

He knew his brother had wanted to go this route, but he had been unallowed to take that route. "How about you?" He glanced to his brother. Meadowsweet
Meadowsweet was sitting by the fresh-kill pile, alone for once and trying not to look as agitated as she felt. There was a good chance that Pinestripe would be leaving for Moonclan that night and the thought was sending jolts of nervous energy through her. Would Emberstar guess that she had been involved? I'm probably worrying about it too much, she decided, pushing down her anxiety and picking a squirrel out of the pile. She didn't feel especially hungry but she would need the energy later if Pinestripe did choose to leave.

Brightpaw waved his tail wildly in greeting as the cream-furred apprentice came into view. "Pinkpaw! We've been waiting for you," he announced before launching into a quick explanation of what exactly the apprentices were doing. "So, are you in? We already found some stuff," he finished, motioning towards the scant pile of stones, nuts and feathers under the bush and the eggs he and Thistlepaw had just buried. "Now that you're here, we could comb the shore for some more interesting stuff like shells."

Ivysong - Sunclan Camp - With Meadowsweet
The molly was hiding in the shadows on the side of camp, her gaze just as frightened as normal until she suddenly spotted her sister. Oddly enough the other she-cat was alone for once and Ivysong jumped up and made her way to her, laying by her side and curling into her like she normally would when she was extremely stressed out. "H-hi sis."

Meadowsweet was shaken out of her thoughts when Ivysong appeared, frightened as ever and making a beeline straight for her. In spite of her earlier anxiety, she was unable to hold back a small smile. "Hey, is everything okay?" She inquired softly, curling her tail around her sister. Knowing how timid her sister could be and how difficult she found it to talk to others, she would always try to be a stable presence for her. "I was going to eat this but I'm not very hungry." She gestured towards the squirrel in front of her with a paw. "Want to share?"

The molly glanced at the squirrel that was offered to her with an unsure gleam in her eyes, leaning down to sniff it before checking it over for any signs of poison or rotting before she even dared to take a bite. After finding none and deeming the prey okay to eat she took a few bites, staying quiet and simply enjoying her sister's presence before she swallowed and spoke up. "I- well there's n-nothing in p-particular. I'm just as o-o-okay as any other d-day." She then took another bite of the prey. "Thanls for sh-sharing-g with me."
Feversoul - Sunclan Camp - With Russetstep
A flash of anger passed over the tom's face and he flicked his tail towards the medicine cat den. "That is what's on my mind. We're without a medicine cat because ours is now dead and our leader has done nothing about it! Emberstar knows fully well just how much I wanted to be a medicine cat but for some reason they denied me of it when I was of age to become an apprentice and now the position is completely empty which means our clan is at risk. But what does our leader do? Nothing. They're too focused on Briarstar to even realize the threat that this poses or that there's a perfectly acceptable cat who wants the position. A cat who would do anything just to get it." He took a few deep breaths now, having been speaking quickly and without pause as his pent up thoughts and emotions bursting forward. "I just... Russet you know how much I looked up to the medicine cats. How much I yearned to be one of them. I made sure that everyone knew of it from our parents to the elders to Emberstar themself but when the time finally came... all of my dreams were crushed." |

Even though some time had passed since then, she still couldn't help feeling guilty about it. "Anyway, I'm glad you're okay." Part of Meadowsweet wanted to confide in her sister, tell her about her worries, and yet she didn't want to give her more cause for concern so she stayed quiet. |

"I can do either," he meowed confidently, not minding whether he was put on hunting or gathering duty. He also didn't have anyone he particularly wanted to pair up with so he was happy to sit back and let the others decide what they were going to do. "Regardless, I'm sure it'll turn out well."

He gave a light scoff and shook his head, turning away from the medicine cat den with an angry grumble. "No one is going to get that position if Emberstar doesn't shape up. I'm almost tempted to give him a piece of my mind over it, no matter if he likes it or not." The tom had always been sour about the whole medicine cat thing ever since he was rejected to train to be one and everyone knew it well. Now with there being no medicine cat there was a huge risk toward the clan because sickness and injuries were no stranger. Many had begun to worry about what would happen while the one who really needed to be worrying was too busy chasing Briarstar's tail.
Ivysong - Sunclan Camp - With Meadowsweet
Ivysong may not get along with others and was scared of her own shadow half the time but she could still tell when there was something bothering her sister. "Meadowsweet... is everything okay? You seem to be distracted and it's odd for you be so alone. Normally you try to surround yourself with as many others as you possibly can." The she-cat turned herself so she could see the other better, her eyes shining with worry.
Gerbilpaw - Forest - With Apprentice Squad
The tom wasn't really listening to the plans that everyone else was making, his mind more focused on finding a way to be able to get to the shore so he could go for a swim. There was just something about the water that called to him and while his sister was terrified of it, he would rather be there than anywhere else. It was only when Pinkpaw called out that she wanted to go to the shore that he turned toward the others, his eyes lighting up. "I wanna go to the shore too! I haven't gone swimming since earlier today and I really wanna get back in the water! I can also look around for shells with Pinkpaw if needed. Or maybe find some fish scales in the deeper areas of water."
((btw, can someone brief me on everything that's going on? I know there's something up with Emberstar and Briarstar but I'm unsure of what exactly.
And what's going on with Pinestripe?))

Meadowsweet sighed and averted her eyes, eventually allowing her concern to creep onto her face. She knew that it'd been foolish to try to hide her feelings from her sister, of course she'd noticed - they were kin. "I'm... just a bit worried is all," she murmured, her tail beginning to flicker to and fro with agitation. "If I tell you why, do you promise not to repeat it to anyone?" It wasn't that she expected Ivysong to run off and ruin their plan or anything but she had to make sure she knew just how important it was not to say anything.

So, Pinestripe is expecting kits. Because Sunclan is currently bereft of a medicine cat, Briarstar offered her a place in Moonclan for the duration of her pregnancy. Emberstar decided not to mention the offer to Pinestripe after the gathering but Meadowsweet told her anyway, believing that she had the right to choose for herself.
This coming night, Ripplecatcher, Pinestripe's mate, and Meadowsweet plan to escort her to Moonclan. Oh, and Emberstar told Willowsong that if Pinestripe chose to leave, she wouldn't be accepted back into Sunclan. That's basically it, I think.
As for Emberstar and Briarstar, I'll see if I can find the posts which explained it!

Flashpaw-Forest-Apprentice Squad "I'll do the hunting part," she said. She smiled as she nudged her brother a bit. "We are going to be gathering things to give to everyone, since they've seen down for a while, it was Brightpaw's idea!" She didn't ever get her brlther's love for the water, but she still loved him all the same. Russterstep-Sunclan Camp-Feversoul Russetstep listened to the other time speak. "Hopefully he gets some sense knocked into him soon," he said. He didn't get why Emberstar was letting them go without a medicine cat, surely even the leader knew how essential one was. "We just have to hope everyone stays safe.." His ears pulled back. "Just don't go to overboard when you talk to him." |

He refuses to share exactly why he hates Briarstar and then even refuses to be a leader for his clan when they really need him." The tom's gaze travelled over to the leader's den now and he gave out a slight growl. "In fact, it really is time someone talks to him about his actions. And if no one else is going to do so then I will." He didn't give his brother time to respond before he was padding toward the den to see if their oh so busy leader was in so that he could give him a piece of his mind.
(XD. He an angry boi right now. Either stop him or let him go. Choose wisely and quickly. XDXD))
Ivysong - Sunclan Camp - With Meadowsweet
The molly knew that something was up. Something was weighing on her sister and whatever it was happened to extremely important and she had the feeling that she was about to be one of the few cats who actually knew what it was. "I promise I won't tell a soul. Anyways, who could I tell? I'm t-terrified of almost everyone and you're the o-only one I r-really talk to." She leaned over and nuzzled her sister softly, her eyes showing that she was telling the truth. After all it was nothing but it, Ivysong didn't really have anyone she could tell if she even wanted to.
Gerbilpaw - Moonclan Forest - With Apprentice Squad
He smiled softly at hi sister, nuzzling her softly before taking a few steps toward the shore, stopping to turn and look back at the group as he waited for any who were going to join him to hurry and come along. His paws were itching to get into the water and he knew that there were always some really cool things in the deeper areas or even the small tide pools that would collect here and there. Maybe he could find an open clam shell? The insides were always pretty and it was a good thing to hold smaller items in, like herbs or such. Oh yeah, if he found some of them then he could give them to the medicine cats as extra herb storage! |

When she was convinced that they were in the clear, the she-cat opened her mouth to explain. "At the last gathering, other than offering Emberstar one of Moonclan's medicine cats, Briarstar also offered to take care of Pinestripe for the duration of her pregnancy. I don't think Emberstar was too happy about that... or at least I don't think he was planning on telling Pinestripe." She couldn't hide the hint of bitterness in her voice as she spoke of Emberstar. It was exceedingly rare for Meadowsweet to dislike anyone but she had never agreed with the way the tom went about things, not to mention the way he had handled recent events. "So... I told her instead. I suggested she leave for the sake of her kits. We might be leaving tonight if all goes to plan." |

Her interest was peaked yet more by Emberstar not alerting Pinestripe to the offer, the molly being surprised when her sister seemed bitter toward the leader for doing so. "Wow... that's big. I promise not to tell and if you guys need any help then I'm here." |
