She nodded at his words, it was often hard to find enough time for this type of hobby. "There will be the whole year, so I'm sure there will be times where there is nothing to do." "I look foreword to it," Rieka said, nodding, "Hopefully, you'll impress me with your inspiring dancing," She had finished her Saghert and Cream and was now beginning to feel rather lethargic. Rieka tended to fall asleep early, rarely deviating from her regular sleep schedule, "Today has flown by," She spoke quietly, stifling a yawn that made her eyes water.

Vincent hesitated for a second, not sure if he was supposed to tell. He also didn't want to worry Estelle too much. But then again it was kind of an important thing. "In a way, yes," he said finally, lowering his voice a little. "Professor Orryn mentioned something about disappearances but he didn't elaborate. So either it's a thing of the past and this rule only exists to be completely sure of it or maybe there is more to it." He thought about it for a moment. "The thing is, I've never heard of anyone disappearing after they've been sent here. If they had it would be impossible to cover up. So I'm really not sure what to make of this."

"It's not too impressive yet," Callan said, sounding a little unsure. But Rekka's own excitement was also kind of encouraging so maybe it was alright if he rambled on a little. "But I already have some experience in it. I guess I kinda have a gift for dark magic. Maybe I can show you when we start training. But you'll definitely get to see it in the mock battle!" Since the Kitsune really seemed to be interested in it he dared to continue. "It might be a bit different from black magic but it also falls under the 'Reason' category. There's also white, or 'Faith', magic and it's vastly different. I don't know much about it, though. So if you want to try your hand at using magic you should first determine if you want to focus more on Reason or Faith," he tried to explain.

"Well then. We're counting on you," Agnar said, sounding both curious and slightly amused. "We'd be off to a great start if we were to win the mock battle." He took a moment to finish his plate and nodded at Rieka's comment. "It sure has. Not much time left to really do anything. So what are you two gonna do now?"

"I wonder if they'll be doing anything else. Though, if we're not allowed to walk around alone at night I doubt they'll let us stay out late. I've almost been shanked before, so I can understand." he yammered on about an experience he had when at a small town at night. Someone had charged him with a knife, but he thankfully hadn't been hurt. The man wasn't incredibly good with a knife "Either way though, I guess we'll be turning in soon." he cut off his story with that, remembering that it was rude to dominate the conversation like that.

Rekka listened with interest. He considered the two options, eventually looking like he decided on something "I see, perhaps Reason would be good. But Faith also sounds interesting. So many options!" he exclaimed "I've never taken the time to look into magic, so this is good to learn about. Thanks for explaining!" Rekka really should know more, but honestly the studious dedication it took to learn magic had never appealed to him before. But speaking with someone who was passionate on the subject certainly changed his opinion a bit.

Glad that Rekka seemed to find those brief explanations sort of helpful Callan just mumbled a "You're welcome" and focused on his meal for a moment. After a while he said "You know, it probably won't hurt to learn a bit of both. Just a spell or two from what you're not focusing on. If you want to learn magic, that is. You'll probably get a better idea of what you want once we start to train, whether it's magic or weapons."

"You lead an interesting life, Luca," She said with a finality that suggested the conversation was coming to a close as far as she was concerned, "I intend to start heading back to the dormitory," Lifting her plate, she placed it atop a stack of other plates.

Estelle's eyes widened and her hands flew to her chest like startled birds, "Goodness! Professor Philomel certainly did not mention that," Disappearances? Disappearing to where exactly? The knights of Serios were an omnipresent force or at least that was how it felt to her. She struggled to understand how students could go missing in such an environment and how she had never heard complaints from any of the noble families to the tune of vanishing students, "If that is truly the case, then clearly there is great need to protect ourselves," She bit her lip, "Perhaps there has been a misunderstanding and Professor Orryn was just cautioning you as a matter of course?"

Surely the monastery was a safer place than where ever Luca had had that encounter but he supposed the rule still made sense. "Let's just hope nothing of that sort happens here." He nodded to Rieka and put his plate on the stack as well. "See you tomorrow then. I guess you're heading back too, Luca?"

"If it is then he really has a strange way of going about it," Vincent replied. He considered it for a moment but then shook his head. "No, I do believe he meant what he said. Not that any of us now what to think of it. Silke, our house leader, doesn't seem to be too concerned. I can't really say for sure what Grimm is thinking but he seems to agree that we should be on guard."

He then turned his attention to Agnar "Yeah, probably! I don't have anything else in mind to do. Unless you want to go galivanting around, breaking the rules on our first day. Now that would be fun." as a commoner though he could get kicked out and that might not be the best course of action.

"Good point. I'll look into it! Though, I'd want to see more about human life first. I only passed through a few towns on the way here, and this is the first time i'll be surrounded by so many humans." he seemed eager to learn and experience, unlike a certain rabbit that won't be named. He finished up his meal.

Rieka gave Luca another amused look. What a funny person. She gave a short wave and exited from the dining hall. Agnar and Luca both seem like good people. She was looking foreword to speaking to them again. She headed directly for her dorm nearby the training grounds, more than happy to call it a day.

She did look a little concerned at the prospect, but when she spoke her voice was resolute, "Let us look out for each other then," It could be that there was nothing to worry about as she hoped. Regardless, there was no harm in taking extra precautions, "Of course, your classmates will be in a better position to do that than I!" She glanced at the table where Callan and Rekka were talking. She had ended up speaking to Vincent for longer then she had intended, "And here I only came to say hello," She smiled slightly and dipped her head to the boy, "I think I should rejoin the others."

He was slightly surprised that she seemed to have friends from outside of the Alliance but he supposed that it was only natural for a noble to be familiar with other nobles even when they were from a different nation. This must not be the first year that this has been an issue," She shook her head. The night-time rule had not been odd to her at first. Now, she completely understood it, "I would not worry about it - many of the people here are nobles, others are from outside Fódlan like you, Rekka. They will keep us all well-protected."

I only meant to say that gardening is a good source of strength training. One that most will no doubt overlook," Seeing that Imrie was still watering, he held out his hand for the watering can, "Thank you for your help. It is starting to get dark so if you want to get something from the dining hall and haven't yet, now is the time."
