"Guess so," Grimm kicked a stone with the tip of his boot, "Well, if I go missing you can chalk it up to the wyverns. I don't trust them not to fly off with me," His voice became jovial again, not wishing to dwell on what sounded like potential kidnappings. Already the church is being secretive, huh? Why am I not surprised.

Imrie-Blue Lions Classroom->Greenhouse Imrie didn't have a desire to go eat at the moment, instead she headed back for where the greenhouse was. Maybe she could talk to the greenhouse caretaker and be told about the flowers that were growing inside currently. She took the flower that she was currently wearing and observed it, the flower was a common one from her home in Sreng. She loved the pure white color with the dark pink spotting on the petals. Maybe she could send a letter to her parents and see if seeds could get sent back.
Philomel had decided to return to the greenhouse after the meeting when none of the students had stuck around to ask him any questions. He wasn't exactly the caretaker of the place though he was there often enough that he likely knew just as much as the actual caretaker did. Seeing Imrie there, he paused and entered quietly. There were a couple of patches of flowers from Duscur which needed trimming. He noted that the girl wasn't one of his students, "Good Afternoon," He called as he passed her to get to the flowers. |

Silke hadn't bothered commenting on the kidnapping. If someone were to try and kidnap her she would simply punch them in the face and stomp on them. Trying to mess with her would also result in them likely getting killed for potentially trying to kidnap a princess. Not that she flaunted her standing like that. She'd much rather fight them herself.

"I'd love to try some meals from places i've never been. In my line of work, you travel a lot and experience many different things. Though I must admit, I'd never venture as far as to eat raw meat." he didn't say it in a way that may come across as disgusted or judging, simply that he preferred his meat with only a small amount of pink.

"Morfis is a wonderful place, if not a bit hard to get to." Rekka replied "We have many magic users there, our stones are a form of magic as well. Though, Taguels and Wolfskin have them as well." he tapped to the stone that hung from his neck "Let me tell you though, it's boring! I've spent my whole life there are rarely got to see the outside. I'm much more eager to be here. The trading routes are intricate and I never quite understood them, so I rarely interacted with outsiders."

Estelle looked fascinated to be learning about the foreign country, "Amazing! How I would love to travel there some day," She commented excitedly, glossing over the part where he said it was boring, "If you have any questions about Fódlan, I am sure Callan and I could answer some of them for you," When Rekka drew attention to the stone around his neck, she let out another awestruck noise, "Can I touch it? I have heard tell of the beaststones, but this is my first time seeing one in person!"

Rieka laughed quietly, "It doesn't do us any good to be picky," She said in reply, paused, then asked, "If you've travelled a lot, does that mean you've been to Albinea?" Since Luca had so very much to say, she wondered what his verdict on her home country would be.

Philomel crouched down next to the flowers, secateurs in hand, "Of course, of course, please do," He said with a quick glance over his shoulder at her and a warm, patient smile on his face. He clipped some wilted leaves off of a clump of brilliant blue flowers, his robes trailing in the soil.

Blue Lions: Imrie-Greenhouse-Professor Philomel Imrie observed the blue flowers. "What kind of flower is that one,' she asked him curiously, pointing at the flowers he was working with, as she observed as he cut off the wilted leaves, they would make good use to give nutrients to the plant, if they got shredded and mixed in with the soil. She had seen some farmers do it and it usually lead to healthy crops. |

Philomel leaned back so she could get a better look at them, "Duscur Lithodora, sometimes known as Duscur Roughblooms because they are hardy little fellows and tend to sprout up in more rocky terrain," Setting the secateurs aside for a moment, he noticed the pink-spotted flower in Imrie's hands, "Oh! That is a Sreng variety if I am not mistaken?" Without taking a closer look, he couldn't be sure, but it looked like a Desert Helleborus.

Vincent glanced at Grimm at the mention of wyverns. "Oh? Speaking from experience or just a feeling?" he half-joked as they got closer to the dining hall. It made for a funny mental image at the very least, a student going missing because of the whim of a wyvern. A welcome distraction from a more serious subject. He turned to Silke. "What about you? Do you have any experiences with wyverns?"
Callan | Near the Dining Hall | Rekka, Estelle
Callan nodded when Rekka mentioned Morfis having many magic users. It was something he had heard about as well but it was good to have someone actually confirm it. "Sounds like an interesting place," he said when Rekka had finished and silently agreed with Estelle's comment. When she mentioned that they could answer any questions Rekka might have he hesitated at first but then nodded with a smile. "Sure."
Agnar | Dining Hall | Luca, Rieka
"I doubt our meals are anything special. We mostly prepare something from either meat or fish," Agnar said and laughed at Rieka's remark. She was right, though. In a place like Albinea one couldn't really afford to be picky. Though he supposed the Wolfskin were even less picky then the humans there. The three had reached the dining hall as they talked. Now as they were standing in the line Agnar could see what this place had to offer today. He wasn't too familiar with it but it looked like something he would enjoy.
Nora | Dining Hall | Open
Nora followed the others to the dining hall and got in line behind them. From what she could tell today's meal wasn't too impressive but as it was one of her favorite foods she didn't mind at all. Now she also had a better chance to get a look at the other students. She recognized Neason and Searc, quickly waved at the former and shrugged with a slight smile when the latter just sat down at a table, clearly not interested in the food. Then she went back to looking around at the other students.
Jasmine | Dining Hall | Open
Jasmine stood near one of the windows and observed the students that had come here. She wasn't interested in today's meal as Saghert and Cream was one of the few foods she wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole and if she was being honest the fact that some people not only were okay with eating it but also seemed to enjoy it bewildered her. But while she had no interest in eating this time she still stuck around, curious about this year's students. She wondered if any of them were interested in sparring, some of them looked quite skilled. Not that she could know for sure of course.

I wouldn't say they are weak willed, but I will say they aren't capable of keeping up with me!" she nodded. It was pretty much her way of saying that she wasn't good with animals, without admitting that she wasn't skilled at something.

Luca thought on her question for a moment before nodding "I have been, though it wasn't for a long time. We were simply passing through it's outskirts." he shivered at the memory "It was freezing! I thought I'd lose a finger or toe for sure. You're amazing for living there! I've heard it has spare flora and fauna." other than that, he couldn't really say if he liked it or not. They'd only been there for a day or two at most. When in line, he craned his neck a bit to see what was offered.

"Sure! I don't mind." other people from his tribe would be scandalized, but Rekka wasn't bothered. He slipped the stone over his head and handed it over. It didn't even occur to him that she might take it, he simply assumed that she was a good person. Had Megumi seen him do this she probably would have run over and beat his ass for doing it "Without these we can't really fight as easily, since we can't shift into our beast forms." he explained.

Blue Lions Imrie-Green House-Professor Philomel "Duscur Roughblooms," she echoed, trying to get it memorized in her head. She gave a nod to the professor's question. "Yes, its a Barnhaven Hybrid, though it can also be referred to as a Desert Helleborus." She only ever heard the flower being called a Barnhaven Hybrid in her village, so she felt it would be good to give the more common name for the flower as well, feeling it would be easier for the professor, should he be familiar with it. |

Grimm shrugged and smirked, "Not with wyverns... apart from the one time I almost went careening into a noble woman's window," He had never been fond of heights so flying had never quite agreed with him, "I do ride though," As they came upon the dining hall, he listened to Vincent and Silke. The latter seemed to be overflowing with confidence whenever she opened her mouth. It's almost impressive. Vincent, meanwhile, was nice enough. It would be interesting to see how they held up during training.

"So you have been," Rieka said, "True, it is cold in Albinea, but the cold doesn't bother my people much," She looked at what was being served; she didn't really mind what it consisted of despite her curiosity. To her especially sharp nose, it smelt sweet, almost reminiscent of the berries she was used to. She waited in line until she was given a plate with the confection on top, then gestured towards the tables inquiringly.

Estelle nodded in understanding, "I see," She ran her thumb over the stone as she looked down at it admiringly. How amazing that something so small could grant such power. And so pretty too. Before long she passed it back over to Rekka, satisfied, "Thank you," The dining hall was just up ahead. She could already hear the bustle of students talking and plates being served.

Philomel looked thoughtful, "Ah," He rose to his feet and moved over to the left, "Yes, I don't believe we have any of those at the moment, but there are some other Sreng breeds over here," He waved a hand at the plants and smiled proudly, "I hear that Desert Helleborus is rather hard to cultivate outside of its home country. Might you be from one of the tribes?"

"I am, my tribe used to be apart of a larger one but there were cases of people not being born with Tanguel traits, and eventually those ones broke off and formed a new tribe, which is the one I come from," she nodded. "And yes that is correct. It is difficult to grow them outside of Sreng, but if you know what you are doing and what kind of conditions it needs, it is possible, it has a high chance of failure though." |

Callan glanced at the beaststone as Estelle admired it and nodded at Rekka's explanation. "Maybe it would be good to pick up some other skills then," he suggested quietly. "Who knows when you might need them." As they went to stand in line he looked at the students at the tables to see what was served.

"Yeah. If you live there it doesn't really bother you," Agnar said. "But you're right, we can't exactly grow much there. I'm kinda curious about what kind of plants can grow here." When he too was given a plate he nodded to Luca and followed Rieka over to the tables to find a good place for them to sit down.

"Yes, well, she wasn't best pleased," Grimm admitted, remembering the shocked faces of his parents and said aforementioned noble woman. He was slightly impressed that Vincent was good at flying, it looked to him like it required exceeding patience. Seeing that the 'special' being offered was Saghert and Cream, he opted for a savoury plate of Garreg Mach Meat Pie instead.

Rieka sat down, glancing around her at all the other students. She gave the pastry an experimental prod with her fork, then brought it up to her mouth. Usually, wolfskin weren't exactly the cleanest or most polite when they were eating. Nonetheless, she didn't want to look like she lacked manners, "What are you going to be training in?" She directed the question at Agnar, realising she hadn't asked yet. The Saghert and Cream, meanwhile, was very delicious and tasted vastly different from her usual fair.

Estelle, whilst waiting in line, was looking around at the large dining hall. She let out a small gasp of surprise when her gaze landed on Vincent, recognising him instantly, "Excuse me, I will be back in a moment!" She told Callan and Rekka quickly before making a beeline for the other noble, "Vincent! I did not expect to see you here!" She said, beaming. Vincent was someone she had met and spoken to on multiple occasions courtesy of the many formal functions they both attended. It was nice to see a familiar face.

"It is good to meet you," Philomel said, nodding appreciatively. It wasn't every day that students took so much interest in the greenhouse, "Professor Philomel. I teach the Golden Deer house this year," He knelt back down next to the Duscur Roughblooms to pick all of the wilted clippings out of the soil and place them in a small pile on the stone, "You certainly seem to know what you are talking about."

Silke gathered some food for herself, also opting for the meat pie as well. As much as she liked the sweet stuff, protein was better for her. She grabbed a few more items before making her way over to a nearby table that was empty. Silke quite enjoyed listening to Grimms story, it sounded like a fun experience. Especially since he made it out of it without much damage. Those were the best stories and experiences.

While his two companions chatted, Luca snagged two Saghert and Cream for himself. He had more food than most of the students, but it obviously didn't bother him. He was here and he was going to take advantage of the food. The dancer sat down at the table Agnar and Reika had taken "Yes, I'm interested in that as well."
Rekka | with Callan
"You're probably right! I'd like to learn more skills whilst i'm here." he nodded with agreement. Getting food and following Callan to a table where they could eat and sit "I'd eventually like to be able to fight without having to shift, just in case it comes down to it. He loved being in his beast form, but if there were ever a time he couldn't rely on it he needed to have fostered and gathered other skills.

Vincent grinned a little at that but still gave an understanding nod. Unlike the other two he settled for Saghert and Cream. It wasn't anything special but he didn't dislike it either. As he moved to walk over to one of the tables he noticed someone heading over to him. It didn't take him long to recognize Estelle and he greeted her with a friendly smile. "Well, I didn't expect to meet you here either, Estelle," he said with a quiet laugh. "But I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. It is good to see you though."

"Uh, sure. We'll wait at that table," Callan said as Estelle excused herself. As he and Rekka took their food over to one of the tables he nodded. "I mean, since you're already here why not make the most of it?" he said as he sat down. "There are many things to learn here. Do you already have something in mind?"

Agnar was a bit surprised to see Luca taking two portions but just shrugged. Though now as he was actually trying the food he really couldn't blame the dancer. He enjoyed sweet food in general and now he could probably count Saghert and Cream as one of his favorites. "I'm pretty good with swords and bows, brawling too. So those are the skills I'll be focusing on the most. I'd like to learn more about leadership too," he told Rieka. "I also heard there are some seminars that will be held on sundays so I could use those to learn something new. Magic is pretty interesting, for example."

Ah, one of Konstantin's, hm? Philomel dusted off his front and retrieved a watering can from the side, "It is always nice to see young people taking an interest in green and growing things," He offered the watering can to Imrie, "Some of these still need watering if you would like to assist?" Some of the vegetables at the back needed harvesting as well come to think of it.

Blue LionsImrie-Greenhouse-Professor Philomel Imrie smiled a bit more, giving a nod as she accepted the water can from him. She didn't mind the idea of helping and in fact was looking forward to it. "What ones have you not gotten to yet," she asked, so she wouldn't risk overwatering plants that had already been taken care of. She was glad there was someone else, granted he was a professor, that knew about plants at the officer's academy. "Hopefully there are a few other students that have an interest in this."

Estelle, realising that she had forgotten her propriety for a moment, straightened and composed herself. Friend or not, they were still surrounded by nobles and she didn't want to embarrass him, "How have you been since last we spoke?"

Rieka smiled slightly, "A man of many trades, then?" She remarked at Agnar's seemingly long list of interests, "I plan to study brawling and leadership too," She raised another forkful to her mouth. If Luca was going to be a dancer, what would he be training at the academy? She wasn't familiar with the sorts of weapons the profession carried if any at all.

Philomel motioned towards the upper right section which primarily consisted of Fódlan varieties. Some were already in full bloom, others only buds, "Yes, I hope so too, I have to admit," He put away the secateurs and went to harvest what looked like beans from a tall, swaying plant, "I am down here quite often when I am not teaching so do feel free to drop by. If anyone else is interested in helping out, I would welcome the assistance. As much as I love this place, it takes time and energy to maintain, two things that are not always abundant!"

"It is but at least we are lucky enough to attend during the same year," Vincent replied. While he was also eager to meet new people or learn more about those he had interacted with only briefly it was good to meet someone he already knew. "Things are going well enough for me," he responded to Estelle's question. My father expects quite a lot of me but so far I have given him no reason to complain. He'll expect frequent reports about my progress here though." Not that this part bothered Vincent too much. He was quite confident that he wouldn't disappoint his father. "I do worry about my sister though, now that I can't be around her. Mother and father have never been too kind to Sophia." He had mentioned his sister before but Estelle had never met her so far. "But how have you been doing lately?"

Agnar shrugged and smiled a little. "It's not like I really have a choice. We've always had to deal with Demonic Beasts so it'll be good to learn about different fighting styles. Not that I would master all of them, of course, but I want to gain some experience in them." He nodded at Rieka's interests of study. It made sense for her. Then he glanced at Luca. "So what will you be focusing on?"

Estelle murmured her sympathy. The head of the Marquardt family had always seemed stern to her though encounters they had had were few and far between, "I am glad you are well," Her own father would be considered rather lax if the other nobles saw how he acted at home with just her and the other astronomers. He had rarely demanded anything of his daughter, had coddled her even, "That does sound like a burden. I am sure you will not disappoint him, however!" At the mention of Sophia, she nodded. She had wanted to meet her, but had not gotten the chance as of yet, "She will be awaiting a letter from you," She said gently, thinking about the letter she intended to write that very night, "As for me, little has changed. I miss father, of course, and the Observatory, but we all look up at the same skies so..." With a small shrug, she trailed off, twisting a lock of rose-gold hair around her finger.

"I'll probably focus on swords and knives." Luca replied, taking a bit of the meal. Once he'd swallowed that mouthful he continued "Knives are small and versatile. They can even add a flair to a routine. Dancing with knives, dangerous and entertaining. It would be foolish of me not to learn the skill." he'd fought with a sword before anyways, so it was probably the best course of action.

Rekka considered the question before smiling a bit sheepishly and shrugging "Honestly I hadn't really thought on it! I'd like to learn how to ride a Pegasus or wyvern though, that would be fun! Horses are great and all, but I can run just as fast as one when I shift. Flying though, I'd never be able to do something like that."

"Knives have a variety of uses," Rieka remarked, "Some of the younger wolfskin would use them to carve up their prey," The poachers also used them to obtain wolfskin pelts, she thought with a sudden note of bitterness, "Your dancing. Vincent nodded and gave a grateful smile at Estelle's words. "No one can say that I am not trying my best," he said in regard to his training here and his father's opinion on it. "Thank you. I will definitely write to her." He listened as she talked about her father and had no doubt that the two shared a close bond. "Sounds like you should write to him as much as possible then," he said with a smile. "It really is a shame we aren't allowed to go outside at night unless we go in small groups. Maybe there are some other students here that love looking up at the night sky. Of course it's not the same as being at the Observatory but it could still be a nice thing to do."

"Flying! I'm looking forward to that too!" Callan exclaimed in a sudden burst of excitement. "I hope I can become a Dark Flier. Or maybe even a Malig Knight. As much as I love flying I also want to use magic effectively." He stopped suddenly and gave a slightly embarrassed grin. "Ah, sorry. I'm just really excited for that."

"I think I would upset him and the others if I did not," Estelle said fondly. Her expression then quickly changed with the topic to one of mild injustice, "Yes! Do you think it counts if I do not walk about but only sit and watch?" She asked hopefully, not looking foreword to her favourite hobby being compromised, "In any case, consider yourself invited if you find yourself with time on your hands," If she couldn't go out alone maybe she could find a like-minded person to go with her. The stars were always brighter with good company.

"Perhaps we might be allowed to sit near the dorms," Vincent suggested though he sounded doubtful. "But even then we wouldn't get the best view." At her suggestion he nodded. "In that case I might join you," he said sincerely. Maybe it was because he spent so much time with his wyvern but he loved the sky. "I wouldn't mind if we found some more people but even if it's just the two of us we won't be breaking any rules." For a moment he looked thoughtful. He couldn't just forget what Orryn had said. Maybe the other professors had mentioned something too, maybe something that was less vague. "But speaking of that rule, did your professor tell you why they have to enforce it?"

Agnar took some more bites of his meal as he listened to Luca and Rieka. "Yeah. Knives are pretty handy. My brother is quite skilled with them. I've never seen them being used for dancing routines though. It sounds pretty exciting, actually." When Rieka inquired further about Luca's dancing he nodded. "Me too. I guess I can imagine it somewhat but let's hear it from you."

Estelle seemed placated at that, "Thank you, Vincent," She looked out the window. Initially, she hadn't thought much about why this rule was in place. She had assumed it was just an extra precaution. Vincent's words made her consider it further, "I do not see why it is necessary though - surely the monastery is suitably well-guarded? They have the Knights of Serios, that must count for something," Her eyes flickered back to him curiously, "Professor Philomel only told us that we ought not to walk around alone... Why? Did your professor say anything different?"
