Neason: People treat me like an idiot, which means I’m allowed to act like one without any consequences and then surprise everyone when I actually have a good idea. Being famous for stupidity has its perks.

Jason: I am not gullible, I am just easily tricked, which Luca told me is different.

Searc: That is NOT what he means.

Pierce: I heard a rumor today–
Julius: Only one? But I started at least sixteen.
Pierce: *raises an eyebrow*
Julius: Don’t worry. Only two of them were about you.

Rekka, wearing Pierce’s glasses: How do I look?
Pierce, squinting: I have no idea.

Rekka: Hey guys! Did you know a group of fish is called a school?
Grimm: Yeah! And a group of lions is called a pride!
Julius: Annnd a group of crows is called a murder!
Pierce: Did you know a group of idiots is called a headache?

Konstantin: You should apologize.

Konstantin: Because it’s the mature and adult thing to do.
Néo: You realize who you’re talking to, right?

Néo: *pulling out popcorn* Oooh, the show’s about to start.

Akakios: I have a strict moral code, but no one can figure out what the hell it is.

So as mentioned before, this kid kinda dislikes battles, at least those where the kids are required to kill their enemies. Doesn't mean she can't be ruthless if necessary. I think there might be some missions where she wonders what option is kinder: killing the opponent or sparing them so the church can capture and interrogate the. If the church isn't above torture, that is. So yeah, she hates killing others but she also understands that there can be worse fates.

Also, she fears death and can't understand people who are willing to sacrifice themselves for others without a second thought. She will protect others but she isn't sure if she would be willing to give her life for it. You know how a lot of people in Faerghus have this unhealthy obsession with chivalry and stuff? How their knights are expected to just give their lives for their liege? Yeah, she definitely is horrified or even disgusted by that. And she also has a hard time understanding those who accept death as being inevitable. To her it's insane how those people are not afraid of it.

She had a twin brother once who died a few years ago. Either during a hunting accident or from illness. Not sure yet. But he definitely didn't die in battle. And this is what made her so afraid of death in the first place, the realization that it just can't be avoided. She also hates the thought of dying in Fódlan like her brother, of being so far from home when it happens. Another thing this incident did to her is that she developed a kinda weird sense of humor. She tends to joke a lot, seemingly not taking anything seriously. Both because she wants to hide her fears and also because it makes things more bearable for her. Oh, and like Searc she's allergic to pity. Another reason she doesn't want anyone to know about her worries.

Kinda want her and her brother to be identical twins but since they're a boy and a girl they'd probably be fraternal twins instead. Unless one of them is trans. And I would be cool with that but since I made her for the sole purpose of getting killed later on I don't think that's a good idea ^^"

Oh, and I finally decided that she's from Brigid.

Thanks. Looks like I'll let her keep those traits then. Now I only need to decide on whether she's royalty or not. I kinda like the idea of her and her brother being trained to become bodyguards to the prince or princess of Brigid instead. Because maybe, like in the game, the ruler's kid has been sent to the empire as a token of allegiance (or rather as a hostage to prevent Brigid from re-allying with Dagda to attack Adrestia again) but this time Brigid's ruler has insisted on sending someone to protect their child as well. And the reason our Lion is late despite already (kind of) living in Fódlan is that she has been allowed to see her family before she spends the year at the academy where she will train to become a better bodyguard and also so someone from the Empire can keep an eye on her. They don't want their "guests" from Brigid to suddenly turn against them. And on her way to the Monastery she, like Tahvo and one an two other late kids, had some run-ins with those cult members who left her alone after realizing that she has no crest. As for no one in her family having one, Jason could find out about that at some point. Before the Verdant Rain moon, of course. Gotta do his job as a spy, after all ^^

Also, this year I've begun to reread a book series I absolutely loved as a kid. And some of the quotes just seem to really fit some of our characters. Like, our new Lion's sense of humor? This one sums it up pretty well, I think.

See, I've always believed that to some extend you get to decide for yourself what your life will be like. You can either look at the world and say, "Oh, isn't it all so tragic, so grim, so awful." Or you can look at the world and decide that it's mostly funny.
If you step back far enough from the details, everything gets funny. You say war is tragic. I say, isn't it crazy the way people will fight over nothing? People who fight wars to control crappy little patches of empty desert, for crying out loud. It's like fighting over an empty soda can. It's not so much tragic as it is ridiculous. Asinine! Stupid!

But humor kind of breaks down when the tragedy gets up close and personal.

And especially this one:

"The Irony Gods wait to find out whatever it is you don't want. And that's what they do to you."
"And this is funny?"
"Absolutely. If it was happening to someone else, it would be hysterical."

Wait. Are... are we the Irony Gods? Because we totally know what our characters don't want and that's what we will do to them. Oh well ^^

Also here are two other ones I like and feel like they could fit some of our OCs even though I can't quite pinpoint which ones.

All I know is that none of our Agarthans would say this xD But probably anyone who doesn't get wars.

As for this one, of my characters I think Konstantin would be the most likely to think that way. On the other hand Néo and Callan would be the ones to struggle the most with that idea. They might still think 'ruthless' is synonymous with 'mean' and 'evil'. Though Callan would grow out of that first. Néo would take longer, I think.

Guess that settles it then! Really fitting for us because well... just look at what we're doing with some of our poor characters!

Lara the Lion, I guess. Done for the most part, now I only need to come up with a personal skill for her.

Larissa "Lara" Doherty | 16 | Female | Blue Lions | Commoner | No Crest | Larissa has medium length green hair and amber eyes. Not wanting the others to look down on her for it or worse, pity her, and also to try and cope with her brother's death and her own mortality she picked up the habit of looking for something funny in almost everything. A habit that often conflicts with her thoughtfulness, causing her to make jokes even when she knows that it is anything but appropriate at the moment. | Larissa is greatly interested in the flora an fauna of Fódlan. She can also often be found in the library, mainly to read some books about philosophy. Like many other people in Brigid she knows quite a bit about shamanism and spirits. | Greatly enjoys spending time with animals. She also likes to train with others. She loves the warmer months of the year. | She strongly dislikes ruthlessness but understands that it's necessary sometimes. Lara isn't too fond of the Adrestian Empire. She also can't stand cold weather, making her also sort of dislike Faerghus. Another reason she doesn't like the Kingdom too much is how they glorify knights who would gladly throw their lives away for their liege. Hates missions that are too risky and she's super uncomfortable when anyone talks about death. | Her father is Cahir Doherty and her mother's name is Derval. Well shit, I haven't thought of that - Oh well, I will come up with something sooner or later.

Another way I would describe her attitude towards fighting and killing would be that she's the kind of person who would do it without much hesitation but will never forget the face before her weapon and would also never forgive the circumstances that lead to this. She's also among the first to suggest a more peaceful or merciful option if the situation allows it.
