i do have an idea for some, mostly wantiing it to some form have to deal with faith magic users taking a hit, because schuyler hates the church but im struggling

and theres no way orryn would win pushing the cart he would probably trip on his own feet a lot cause he is struggling to stay awake, but yea they woul go fast er since its just one person in the cart compared to two.

Hmmm I kinda like that it sends the spells back to the caster....omg I got two skills I just need names, Schuyler since he's an adult versus the others being kids is better at impersonation cause adult logic

That's canon now for Ambrose, he was the unofficial big brother to the children, Schuyler having to retrain himself constantly from snapping out at them, killing them or calling them gremlins, and even if he does slip up, not to serious where they get physically  hurt, the kids don't take it seriously and think it's Ambrose being weird to make them laugh

And yes he needs to occasionally be mean to them, it's just how big brothers act, and it just won't raise alarms, Schuyler slamming his head against the wall "I can't even get messing up on purpose right!"

Schuyler yelling at him during a meeting, "you guys have one job, and you are leading them on my tail!"

And even after it gets fixed he's salty
"You could have fixed it sooner, I still got people giving me side glances like I might stab them. I mean I would, but it's not fun if they are expecting it."

Pretty much sums up all the dynamics

They work well on their own and maybe the kids can work together but all four of them are just a mess. The kids would mess up Schuyler's plans and vice versa.

Debating on having Tahvo arrive before or after the Occult Club's first investigation. As for why he's late, I'm thinking that there was some trouble that either forced him to take a detour or forced him to wait it out. Maybe some members from the racist fanatics who went against their leader's orders and went out to seek the beastkin out even before they reach Garreg Mach. A small group that followed him and some others from his tribe who went with him to make sure he arrives safely. That group could have forced them to take a much longer route by constantly trying to attack them. And if at least one of them made it back alive they could have informed their superiors that one of the beastkin that is going to attend the Officers Academy has a crest and is therefore of no use to them (since it probably would have activated during at least one of their confrontation).
I also think that Hera, some high ranking church staff and the professors have been informed that a few students will arrive late. I guess Tahvo could have sent a message when he realized that his trip would take longer, briefly stating that there was some trouble. It doesn't even have to be a small group of racist fanatics who don't know how to follow orders, it could also be a completely unrelated and unimportant band of more-skilled-than-average-bandits. Not sure yet.
