How do you want to decide which house wins the mock battle? We could just rp it and see what happens, randomise it or decide based on which house we think has the strongest fighters?

Hmmmm I think it would probably be good to decide beforehand who wins, just so we have a bit of guidance when rping it ^^ As for deciding who wins, I'm up for whatever. Randomizing it might be the most fair, but deciding based on strength might be more realistic????

I wouldn't mind randomizing it but deciding it based on strength sounds good too. But there's another thing to consider too. The Black Eagles have one more student than the other two houses. How are we gonna handle that?
I try to keep a solid sleep schedule too but it's not really that easy, what with working late shift one week and early shift the next. Oh well, I think I'm more or less used to it by now ^^

Maybe the other houses don't mind having a slight disadvantage? It kinda depends on the house leaders and professors. I know Konstantin would actually welcome it, seeing it as an even better opportunity to assess the strengths and weaknesses of his students . But I still think we should keep it fair. Either one of the Black Eagles wants to sit out or we give them a handicap, like you said.
(Oh what the hell. I can spell "disadvantage" just fine but I still spell "strength" wrong most of the time? Why does this make no sense?)
I try to stick to my schedule each week and I think I'm doing well but it still takes me forever to fall asleep. Like you I spend about an hour with it but I listen to music instead. Either game soundtracks or my favorite bands. |

Ooh, an attitude problem. I like that!  Sussuru I doubt you'll enjoy them ^^ I don't know what music you're usually listening to but I haven't met many people who like the same bands that I enjoy. My favorite band is Sonata Arctica. But even if you like their music, stay away from "Under Your Tree" and "What Did You Do In The War, Dad?", these two songs are sad as hell xD I also like Winterstorm, Saltatio Mortis and ASP. The latter two sing in german though. Then there's also Mike Oldfield, I often listen to the album "Five Miles Out". Mostly because I kinda grew up with that music. Especially "Taurus II" and "Orabidoo". |

Sure! If we're nearer to the battle and we haven't had anyone join and fill out the other two houses, we could go with that ^^ And yes, I know I didn't make the front page very newcomer friendly, but honestly, the idea of explaining all the original lore + classes and whatnot was giving me a headache haha Pineclaw I haven't heard of any of those! I'll probably check them out even if only to satiate my curiosity. I tend to listen to Korean bands so songs being sung in a different language doesn't usually bother me  |

Well, if you're looking for any recommendations, Day6, PENTAGON, LUCY and TOMORROW X TOGETHER are some good ones just off the top of my head. All pretty different though.

I've been thinking about the disappearances and how to incorporate them. It could be the work of some fanatic group who targets students that aren't from Fódlan. This would mostly concern the beastkin characters as well as the people from Sreng and Albinea.
To add more to it, perhaps they need the blood of a kitsune, taguel and wolfskin for some ritual? This would mean that all the houses need to get involved...
Just a thought, I'm open to ideas as always ^^

So about that fanatic group, any idea what they are trying to achieve? You said that they might need the blood of the beastkin for some ritual but what is that ritual good for? Are they hoping to create something from it?
As for the other "outsiders", do the fanatics just hate them or is there something else they hope to gain from what they do? Some of those characters are crest bearers so maybe that could also play into that.

I don't know yet, to be honest.
For what the ritual is meant to achieve... I guess they could be trying to destroy the church or resurrect someone important... Might need to retcon the fanatics if I can't work out something more detailed hm.
As for people who are considered outsiders, but are not beastkin, maybe there's a belief that crests should stay within the noble elite of Fódlan?

or perhaps taking out the beastkins and the other outsiders is to try and cause fighting between fodlan and the other countries around it? as to prevent them from possibly joining together to form a stronger country?
