Pearl's Plot House ~ Open

"Yeah, you know earlier when I said I loved you in the car...." Charli trailed off, recalling it, a sheepish grin appearing on her face "I meant that. I didn't mean to say it, but it was honest." She blushed as she revealed this, not sure why she felt embarrassed about it now. They had just shared that their feelings were mutual.

Charli giggled at Cody's agreement to be her boyfriend. She felt giddy and full of light. Never would she have imagined that this would be happening today. To have his hand in hers, their fingers interlaced, was a magical feeling. Watching as he kissed her hand, the moment felt surreal. The gesture was nothing new, yet this time it had a different meaning and purpose. "And I will cherish you for eternity, my handsome, lovely Cody, who hast the red pavilion of my heart."

She pulled him closer for a hug, "You don't know how long I've been waiting to say that." She breathed into his ear.

If Charli could capture this moment, like put it in a jar or something, she would. There was nothing in the world that would make her happier than being with Cody till the end of time, and this was one solid step towards that goal. It wasn't just for her though, it was for Cody too. If being with her made him happy, then she would be there at his side.

Cody was so gentle and kind to her. She gazed at him as he caressed her face, blinked once as he kissed her cheek, then closed her eyes for the real deal. Her body reacted on it's own and Charli kissed him back, with the same lightness. Her heart raced in her chest. She pulled away for a brief moment, long enough for her hands to find and hold his face. Before the adrenaline could wear off and Charli could think straight she leaned forward and kissed him again, this time a little harder.

In the distance, someone wolf whistled at them, making Charlize pull away abruptly. Snapping back to reality she said "We are in public, I should keep that in mind." A nervous laugh followed the comment. It was a scolding to herself to keep her emotions in check. Even if kissing him felt so right, this was not the place to do it. She chewed her lip, noting how it tasted like him now.

Charli nodded at his suggestion "Okay. Yeah, let's go find some stuff." Her thoughts felt scrambled from the emotional high she was on. Her thoughts ran through what had transpired. She was officially dating her best friend. She had really kissed her best friend, well technically boyfriend, with no spaces now. Her heart was still panicking in her chest, a deep breath and a sigh was released in hopes of calming it.

Pulling back, walking hand in hand, those were things she planned on doing to start off their trek for things she wasn't prepared to buy. But Charli noticed Cody's reluctance to let her go as his hands remained on her hips. It was an easy decisions then, to stay a little closer.  Taking one of his hands in hers and lifitng, Charli tucked herself under his arm, letting it drape across her shoulders. Her other arm wrapped around his waist. "Onward to the shoe store then. Uhhh.." She paused, not sure which way was right. "This way." There was no rhyme or reason to the direction Charli started walking, only the justification that if you don't know where youre going and you go, you'll still end up somewhere.

Charli smiled, she couldn't stop doing it. It was a reflection of how she was feeling on the inside, wholesome. It was delightful to be under his arm and to be so close like this. Just hold me forever and always. She thought as they walked and looked for a store. "I think, I might go with a soft pink, or maybe just white." She mused, hoping to feel inspired by something when they got there.

She rested her head against him as they walked. "So, what do you think our parents are going to say?" Their families were already close, thanks to Cody and Charli's bond as kids. Charli knew her family would approve, they had actually placed bets on when these two would date, even her brothers were in on it. That wasn't something she was supposed to know though, she just happened to accidently overhear it once. Families were funny. Still she felt nervous at the thought of telling them that they were dating now. Heck, she would be getting a lot of slack from her two older siblings.

There were no stores for shoes this way. So they had to turn around and go back a little ways. "Oh, there's a place!" Charli pointed out a store with her free hand. She was not aware of his nervousness. Even if she had been, Charli would have pegged it for their new relationship status.

"Desserts," he murmured as he thought it over. He could recall a bit of desserts from what his family served at the events they hosted, to some that were at the university. "Hmm we could do a rose wine tasting cake, or maybe champagne chantilly shooters." He ran a hand through his hair as he thought it over some more. "We could potentially also do monogram cream tart cake. Or if push comes to shove, I know from what I have heard about when Citra got married, they did some kind of dessert bar since her and her husband couldn't decide on any."

No worries! Take as much time as you need to do stuff, I can wait
I have been busy too… with testing *dread* I just finished my last test two days ago for my teaching licensure! Super excited about that but I still wont get official test scores for another month.}}

She was smitten, a chuckle escaped her lips when Cody kissed her nose, making her face relax. "Okay, okay. I will be myself. I wanted to make sure you wouldn't be upset with me if I accidently said something." Their coming together was like fate. Maybe their love was written in the stars? It had been so coincidental how they met at the hospital and connected. Which was usual since Charlize was a reserved and quiet child. Call it a hunch or a gut feeling, the instant Charli saw Cody, she was drawn to him, as if her spirit knew something she did not.

Charli was peeking in a shoe box just above her eyesight. "Huh?" She looked over at the shoes Cody was mentioning. Her expression turned contemplative "I like them," She declared with a smile "but how about these?" Her hand pulled a blue platform boot from the box she had been looking in. It was decorated with large white stars and would probably reach to about the shin. They were over the top to say the least but weird and quirky was Charli's aesthetic.

"I kid." She laughed, slipping the shoe back in the box and reaching for the ones just to the left, having to let go of Cody's hand to support the box. "I actually wanted to show you these." Charli revealed a pair that was more towards what she was looking for. They were baby pink and lace up like the ones Cody had shown her. Except these had no added height and didn't come up the leg, they would maybe cup the bones of her ankle.

Yuda nodded in agreement. "Those sound good, and seem to cover any potential issues," he said. Food seemed done for the most part, now it was just the matter of a catering service, but that could be handled later. "Hmm what else next," he mumbled mostly to himself. "Should we look at companies that do photography and videography? See what we would be dealing with in terms of prices for it?" He stretched a bit, his back starting to ache from how long he had been sitting. "Or we could look at other options for food if we wanted to finalize or change something?"
