Gullfeather - BluffClan - Stonepelt ( aether ) Gullfeather snorted, "I suppose you'll at least help make things more interesting." As her gaze flicked from HeathClan cat to HeathClan cat surrounding them, she added in a grumble, "But I'm sure there will be enough cats here to annoy the both of us." The journey would be miserable enough, but the fact that they were going over the mountains made the fact that she was traveling with HeathClan that must more intolerable. BluffClan could - no, would, she was sure of it - do much better on the sharp, steep trails along the mountain. Now, if they were traveling for moons through dirty little tunnels, then she might see the reason for keeping HeathClan around. Shaking her head as Stonepelt rolled over, the she-cat fought every urge in her to keep from leaping onto his exposed belly. However, though she might be obnoxious and hard-headed, Gullfeather was not stupid. As the tom expressed his annoyance at their lack of, well, leaving, she couldn't help but agree. It was only delaying the inevitable; everyone knew it was coming so why not just get it over with? BluffClan had already left their camp so HeathClan could suck it up and get things going already. "Maybe we can go and get a head start," She suggested, eyes narrowing with amusement, "We can catch all the good prey and save the best resting spots for ourselves ahead of time."
Harestep - HeathClan - Honeyshade ( willowflower) Harestep followed her out of camp, weaving though the cats both from his own clan as well as BluffClan. It was strange; he was almost already used to all of them. Hopefully we can all stay peaceful during the journey. He wished silently. The tom could only imagine how much more difficult it would make things if cats were arguing and fighting the entire time. He exited camp and came out onto the moor with Honeyshade. He let the wind buffet his pelt as he drew his gaze slowly over the landscape; his home. When his clanmate spoke, he turned to the she-cat, "You might have had a chance of winning if I wasn't against you." The tom teased, stretching out his long legs for emphasis. His tone was one of obvious humor; it wasn't in Harestep's style to be cocky or brag about anything. Even compliments made the warrior's pelt hot with embarrassment. When she spoke again, Honeyshade's tone was one of wistful longing, and was that hope too? The golden brown tom followed her gaze and flicked a tail to her shoulder comfortingly, "I don't know what we will find." He murmured. "But whatever it is, it will be better than what we are leaving behind, surely. I'm confident we can make wherever we find a good home for us." Offering a smile to the she-cat, he added, "After all, we will all still have each other, and that's got to count for something, yes?"

Stagrunner | HeathClan | Warrior | Fernheart (aether)"I think we will." Stagrunner's mew, uncharacteristically quiet, came from behind Fernheart as the brown tabby warrior pushed his way out of the den shortly after Fernheart. He'd woken up shortly before dawn, but had remained in his nest as he hadn't wanted to wake the two cats sleeping beside him. With Fernheart's rise, there was no need to stay in the crowded den any longer. "Wherever we go now, we'll have prey, and we'll be away from the twolegs. The mountains look steep, but at least we're used to high land." He commented as he came to stand beside the tortoiseshell molly, shaking out his fur. "I'm more worried about BluffClan." He mused, eyeing the other Clan's cats that had now begun milling about in the camp. The anxiety of leaving hadn't quite crept in yet for Stagrunner, but the generally somber mood around camp had left him somewhat subdued. He was young and strong, but many cats in both clans weren't. It would be their job to keep the more vulnerable safe. "Do you think it'll snow?" He realized suddenly. They were in the middle of leaf-bare after all. He couldn't imagine what they would do if it began snowing while they were halfway up the mountain, with precious little shelter. Hopefully, they would make it through before anything like that happened. Hornetpaw | BluffClan | Apprentice | Cloudpaw (Tealraven)Hornetpaw was a warrior. He was back in the BluffClan camp, standing proudly before Silentstar as his leader named him a full warrior. It was perfect. His pelt was sleek well-groomed. Muscles rippled powerfully beneath his fur. His former denmates looked on with admiration as the words of the ceremony were spoken. Then, all around him, his Clan began to chant his new name. Hornetpaw! Hornetpaw! Hornetpaw!He frowned. Wait, that wasn't right. He wasn't an apprentice any longer! Hornetpaw! Hornetpaw! Hornetpaw! Hornetpaw! HORNETPAW! "Hornetpaw, are you awake yet?" He wasn't a warrior. He was still an apprentice. Their camp was gone. Hornetpaw's eyes were still closed, but he could smell the hot, heavy air of the den, laden with the scent of HeathClan. He didn't dare open his eyes yet, for fear of losing the lingering feeling of joy that dream had brought him. Finally, he decided there was no point in feigning sleep any longer, and with a sigh, green eyes flitted open in slight annoyance that he had been woken from such a good place. "Well I am now." Came the reply. Streamfrost | BluffClan | Warrior | OpenLike many in her Clan, Streamfrost had had issues sleeping the previous night. The land was just too unfamiliar, but more importantly, the foreign scents were a constant source of anxiety. She'd finally managed to fall asleep, but had awoken shortly before dawn. Rather than trying to go back to sleep and inevitably failing, she'd decided to be useful and do a bit of hunting. She needed a way to dispel her nervous energy anyway. No cat challenged her as she left. This wasn't any cat's territory, not anymore. Dawn had already broken when she'd returned, with a mouse and a starling in her grasp. They were small, but it was enough to get some cats an extra bite to eat. As she returned, she saw that more cats had awoken, and it was clear everyone was getting ready. After depositing her catch and taking the traveling herbs Galewhistle had left her, she now sat in the middle of camp, fidgeting. The hunt had done little to get rid of the anxiety fizzing at her paws. She was ready to leave. She regularly stole glances towards Silentstar and Wolfstorm, wondering if there would be any call to move yet. Honeypaw | HeathClan | Apprentice | OpenHoneypaw padded out of the apprentice's den, clearly grumpy. She'd been the only HeathClan apprentice to not volunteer her own nest to the newcomers. After all, it wouldn't do for perfect pelt if she slept on the cold, hard moor. And so she had enjoyed quite a restful sleep, free of the fears of the cats around her - until the BluffClan deputy had come to wake the apprentices, and ordered them to get ready to leave. She sat down just outside the apprentice's den with a long, slow, self-pitying sigh. Just why did they have to leave because BluffClan had no food? They were doing just fine! Of course no cat had thought how this all would affect her, before they thought about how it affected a rival Clan! Another long, exaggerated sigh left the golden molly as she idly watched the cats around them at work. Galewhistle soon arrived with a packet of traveling herbs for her, and Honeypaw prodded the herbs suspiciously. It was well known that traveling herbs were bitter, and Honeypaw simply didn't eat bitter things. Since she was a kit, she had always been Galewhistle's most difficult patient, often being reduced to tantrums at the thought of simple herbs. She'd usually only comply when the medicine cat would threaten to leave her untreated. Of course, Galewhistle would never do such a thing, but Honeypaw didn't know (or care) about that. And as far as the traveling herbs were concerned, she saw no reason that she had to eat such things until she was made to. And so, she nonchalantly pushed the herbs to the side. They could go to a cat with lesser refined tastes than her. (I like how Foxpounce's prerogative is to and pick fights with other cats and just let Honeypaw be as entitled as she can, and Honeypaw's just like "how bout i do?" and goes full on brat XD)

Silentstar Molly ; Leader ; 70 Moons
In return to her kind gesture, the Heathclan leader offered his own comfort to her worries. His tail brushed along her flank and her head cleared slightly at his words. 'Shadedspeck is a warrior' A smile formed on her serious maw for a moment as she repeated the words in her mind. Shaking her head softly as she thought of her stubborn, yet passionate father. 'He would fight to the death for this clan. And he will do everything to see us reach the end of our journey.' The promise Jackdawstar made, was no sure promise that her father would make it to the end of their journey to a new home. Yet, it was a promise that him and his warriors would work as hard as hers to get each and every member of their clan through the unknown lands that harbored dangers they knew nothing of.
Her tan eyes searched the clearing and his quivering voice brought a new pang of anxiety to her chest. 'It's time. oh, Starclan. Please be with us.' Her head lifted to the sky and she searched the morning light, begging her ancestors to travel with them. How could they be sure the very family and clanmates from the past, would be traveling with them.? There had been no sign, and her fur prickled at the thought of no longer having Starclan to guide them and share their wisdom. She turned her head back to the clearing, opening her maw to speak when Galewhistle padded up to them. Shock flared in Silentstar's eyes at the Medicine cat's words to Jackdawstar. Touching her tail to his shoulder, she jerked her head towards the nursery. "Go. Convince her. I'll call the clans together. Get us moving. I know you will catch up. We'll move slow."
As the words left her mouth, her deputy slipped up to her side. She blinked warmly at the dark grey tom, grateful that he was by her side to help her. At his words, she simply nodded, unable to find the words that traveled through her mind. Watching the clearly exhausted medicine cat, she nodded slightly. Worry was thick in her eyes. "Yes. Indeed. She does. Please stick close to them, Wolfstorm. I know we are keeping the elders and queens close together, but try to push the medicine cats into those groups as well. This journey will be hard on them. Birdscreech isn't the youngest, and Galewhistle has pushed herself beyond what she should."
After a moment, Silentstar strode into the middle of the two clans. Lifting her head high, her voice became loud and commanding, drawing the two clans with her tail. Her silver and black bengal flank rippled in the cold breeze as she fixed each cat with a long stare from serious tan eyes. "Heathclan. Bluffclan. The time has come to start our journey. Everyone, eat your herbs and gather our elders and queens. Warriors helping the queens. I want each one of you to help carry the kits. Give Vixenshine and Feathersoul the first part of this journey to focus on their own strength." She paused, before offering soft words to the two clans. "We have trying times ahead. But together, we will overcome them. We are strong. Both in our own ways. We are warriors. We will get through this. Now come!" With a flick of her tail, she waved her tail in a signal for them to start filing from the camp. She herself, would lead the clans at first. A decision that had been made between the two leaders. One would stay at the back, one at the front for the first part of the journey. With a deep breath, she turned and started to push back out of the camp.

Jackdawstar🌒 - HeathClan Camp ;; 🌒 - Silentstar, Galewhistle, Vixenshine ;; 🌒 - ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥ , ~Skyblaze~ ;;
The heartbeat of silence that enfolded the two leaders was a moment of peace, Jackdawstar wrapped his mind in the calmness, willing it to stay longer. Alas, true tranquility was a far-off feat - something that would only arrive after he'd struggled through the worst of the chaos. Galewhistle's fear-scent touched his nostrils before Jackdawstar turned his head to find her brown tabby and white form bounding towards him. Initially he felt a regretful sheepishness churn in his chest and he opened his maw to begin an apology. However, she spoke first, and her words made his heart skip in fear. "She must come with us!" He felt Silentstar's tail on his shoulder and glanced to her. He nodded quickly and bounded across the clearing to the nursery, pausing at the entrance to glanced back over his shoulder to watch Galewhistle's exhausted form slink into the medicine cat den. He felt another remorseful pang in his chest at his uncalled for outburst earlier. One thing at a time. I'll apologize to Galewhistle once we've started moving. He shouldered into the nursery.
Inside he was encapsulated by warmth and milk-scent. The nursery was the most tightly woven den to keep it warm during leaf-bare and also to keep it structured in the case of an attack. His eyes blinked to adjust to the dim light of the den and he turned his yellow eyes over it. Feathersoul was tucked over five wriggling bundles, Foxtumble was by Vixensine's side and Jackdawstar frowned. Would he really be able to convince the queen to come with the clans? As he stepped towards the cinnamon she-cat he picked up the stale scent of blood from the day before.
"Vixenshine," Jackdawstar's voice held a soothing sense of authority as he stood at her front. He bent to crouch so his eyes were level with her before he continued, "Galewhistle told me you plan on staying here. I've come to make sure that isn't true," He glanced to Foxtumble, feeling sympathy for the new father, before once more setting his eyes on Vixenshine. "If you are staying here then we are all staying here. I'll call off the journey. We have to work together to find our new home. I will not let you or your kits perish." His voice was serious and it reflected in his unblinking stare. Even when Silentstar called to round up the warriors outside he didn't flinch. Stonepelt🐚 - HeathClan Camp ;; 🐚 - Gullfeather ;; 🐚 - shadowstreak ;;
Stonepelt's green eyes flashed with agreement and he let his head lull back on the spongy grass, staring upwards at the creamy swirls of clouds in the sky. It was now reaching the tail-end of dawn, the pink streaks in the sky had turned a warm orange hue. At the mention of prey he felt his stomach twist hungrily, empty after only getting a singular mouthful of food the day before. Despite being generally crabby he didn't make comments often on his hunger because he knew he wasn't the only cat suffering, talking mindlessly of prey and hunger only seemed to worsen moral. However Gullfeather spoke with a tone or amused sarcasm instead of mindless boring conversation-filler. "Oh sure, no one would mind if we just wandered right out from under their noses. In fact, how about we-" his mocking sarcasm was silenced by the sound of Silentstar's call.
Stonepelt wriggled like a turtle on it's shell for a moment before he flipped onto his stomach and stared at his speckled leader, his jaw slightly agape. "My StarClan... we are actually leaving," it was hard even for the usually plain tom to withhold the surprise in his tone. There had been a small part of him that hoped they would stay, simply because it seemed easier then leaving. He still could taste the bitter tang of travel herbs that had been placed at his paws earlier, so he was fit and ready for travel. "I guess we'd better go," he shot Gullfeather a serious glance before pushing himself to his paws and moving towards the leader.
Fernheart🌿 - HeathClan Camp ;; 🌿 - Stagrunner, Thunderflash ;; 🌿 - ~Skyblaze~ ;;
Fernheart jumped slightly at the sudden appearance of Stagrunner, her muscles quickly relaxed when she met his gaze. Despite his words she couldn't help the nagging uncertainty in his chest; she hoped that when the began to move it would subside. She brushed against her close friend and frowned. "BluffClan are confident on the rocks but we're quicker then they are. I think we will have plenty of strengths to share among us," the has a hopeful pique in her tone, uncertain, but optimistic. As another ice-cold breeze sliced through the camp she found herself leaning nearer to Stagrunner's solid and warm form. She was lucky to have someone like him, she relied on him so frequently. "It hasn't snowed yet but we are nearing the heart of leafbare. If we don't see snow on the moor, we surely will in the mountains..." her voice trailed and her green gaze drifted upwards the brown and white peaks that sat in the distance. If the mountains weren't a challenge already, they would be in the snow.
Their conversation was cut short by the call of Silentstar. The leader stood majestically in the center of camp even with her bones jutting beneath her ragged pelt. Fernheart sucked in a quick breath. "We're leaving already!" Despite the surprise in her tone she'd known they would be leaving at dawn. "I'll go wake Thunderflash," she turned back and squirreled into the warriors den. Using her nose, she nudged at Thunderflash's neck.
"We're leaving," she meowed, stepping back to allow the tom to wake.

Tom ; Elder ; 150 Moons
As not only Galewhistle padded in to give them herbs, Wolfstorm soon followed to make sure they were ready and fit. Shadedspeck didn't speak much, leaving his clanmate to do the talking for them. While everyone around him seemed ready for this journey, the old tom had grown hesitant and he sat up, his crooked whiskers twitching with anxiety. After a long moment of silence, he shook his head, blind clouded eyes sweeping around the den. While he couldn't see the other three elders, he knew exactly where they all were. "I..I'm not going." He felt his chest tighten and he shook his head again, breathing shaky. "I'm to old for a journey so big. I'll never make it. The warriors have so much to deal with already. And I can't bare the thought of being a burden on the clans."
His pelt rippled at the thought of being left behind. Yet, his mind was clouded with the thought of taking anyones time to guide him through the mountains. He was blind and almost deaf. He would never be able to follow the clans. Not without someone at his side at all times. His mind traveled to his daughter, the voice that was calling the clans to leave. She sounded so strong, brave, sure of herself. Yet, he knew she would never be able to lead her clan to the fullest, with a constant cloud over her head on whether he would make it or not.

Feathersoul Molly ; Queen ; 35 Moons
Feathersoul had shifted to the red-furred queen see her three kits. And blinked a warm and happy greeting to Foxtumble as the tom brought last minute prey to them. As Vixenshine scarfed down her share of the rabbit, Feathersoul couldn't help but wish she could give the prey to the queen herself, yet her own belly rumbled after feeding three hungry kits all night. Once the queen was done with her share, Feathersoul took a few mouthfuls before waking Tinykit and Lynxkit. "Come little ones. Eat a few mouthfuls before we get going."
Her gaze turned to greet Galewhistle, who had brought them herbs. Her ears flickered up in surprise as the Heathclan queen claimed not to be joining the clans. Her eyes widened and she opened her maw to argue, yet the look in Foxtumble's gaze told her to let him handle it. Just in that moment, she spotted Jackdawstar approaching and gave a dip of her head. She nudged Vixenshine's three kits to her belly, before turning to her own two kits. They had ate what was left of the rabbit. In the clearing, SIlentstar was calling the clans together. "Come. It's time to leave. Let's find your father."
Without a second thought, the brown and white molly picked up Tinykit and nudged Lynxkit along in front of her. Once in the clearing, she wrapped her tail around Lynxkit's body and led her to the gray shape of Wolfstorm. Slipping up to the tom, she touched her nose to his, before settling the tiny brown and white body of their song between his shoulders. He was so tiny compared to his sister, and the cold breeze worried her. Crouching down, she waved her tail for her little daughter to get onto her back. "Get on up, Lynxkit. Remember what we discussed last night. You two will be traveling on the backs of the strongest warriors. NO complaining. Promise me you'll behave." ❖ [Tinykit(Me)Wolfstorm-Lynxkit(~Skyblaze~ )] ❖ [ Adventure Time! ] ❖ [Bluffclan]•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅• Tinykit Tom ; Kit ; 1 Moons
Tinykit woke to the scent of a rabbit. His little nose twitched and he turned hungry eyes to the dead creature. In front of him, the Heathclan queen was eating hungrily. For a moment, he thought she would eat all of it, and his eyes widened. He looked at his mother, opening his maw, but her tail smacked over his mouth as she gave him a warning glance. After a moment, Feathersoul took her share, before giving him and his sister the rest. Scarfing down his share, he was just licking his lips clean when his mother scooped him up and shoved his sister out of the nursery. Swinging from her jaws, the brown and white kit meowled protest, swinging his white paws. Yet, Feathersoul hung tight. It wasn't long before he was placed upon his fathers back. Peeking at his parents, he watched his mother signal to Lynxkit to climb on her back, before commanding them both to behave. His eyes widened once more and he gave a happy squeak. "We get to go further than any kit has ever gone!" While he was happy now, he wouldn't be for long. The journey would be long and hard, and cold. ❖ [ With Family. Rushingfire Tom ; Senior Warrior ; 68 Moons
Rushingfire gave a small nod as she told him her duty. "That makes sense." She was one of the easiest ones to get along with. And unlike the tom himself, she was friendly with everyone, no matter what clan they came from. While he didn't fully agree, he couldn't help but respect her for being able to move so easily between the two clans. Of course, she wasn't the only one and maybe it was a good personality to have, especially needing to work together. Yet, his face still twisted slightly at the idea of working so close with a clan that had never been his own. Especially Jackdawstar's sister. In his eyes, it was the leaders punishment to him for fighting. What better feline to keep an eye on him, than the Healthclan leader's sister.
With a shake of his thick head, he got to his paws and followed the smaller molly from the den. Just as his nose was hit with a wave of icy air, their leader was addressing both clans. The journey was to begin. They were to gather the kits and elders and be on their way. Before him were some traveling herbs, that he crouched down to eat quickly. His nose scrunched up and he licked his maw afterwards, eyes full of disgust. "68 moons of life, and I'll never get use to the awful taste of herbs." A snort escaped him and he touched Brooksong's flank with his long tail. "Maybe you'll travel with me at first.?" While he didn't want to admit it, he was as anxious as anyone. And the thought of not having a clanmate at his side scared him.

Mysticpaw Tom ; Apprentice ; 8 Moons
At his mentors words, Mysticpaw gave a small nod. A gentle comfort to him, that others would be helping. He leaned against the black and white molly for a moment, his white fur mingling with Mossystreams. Silentstar was giving the orders that they were to head out. And it was time to gather the rest of their clanmates. Turning, he gave his mentor a respectful nod, before standing on his paws once more. Turning, he padded towards the Elders den, surprised when he was greeted by Shadedspeck being pushed from the den by Graypebble. "Good morning. I can help Shadedspeck along, if you'd like.?" Graypebble only gave him a growl as he offered to help, which caused him to flatten his ears and step back. She was already taking place beside the elderly tom, wrapping her tail around his shoulders. "I'll be here, if any of you need me. As will Mossystream and others." •❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•
Graypebble Molly ; Elder ; 76 Moons
"On my life are you staying behind, Shadedspeck. Get your ancient hind end up out of that nest." Graypebble had just finished her herbs when the tom had mentioned not going with them. Getting to her paws, she cracked slightly with the swift movement, yet she only winced slightly. Moving up to Shadedspeck's side, she nudged the eldest tom to his paws. Shoving the herbs under his nose, she growled softly. "If we are making this journey, by Starclan, so are you. We'll be with you, the entire way. Now eat your herbs, before I shove them down your throat."
While she meant no harm, the motherly elder would not sit there and leave a member of either clan behind. She was young for an elder, retiring early due to her arthritic bones, but she was old enough. A sad and gruff sigh sounded from the black and white tom beside her as he grumbled something under his breath, before eating the herbs. Once they were gone, Graypebble gave the tom a rough lick over the side of his head, before nudging him out of the elders den. "Let's go. Beetleflight. Sagetail. No one is staying behind."

Eaglecry Tom ; Warrior ; 20 Moons
Once Shadepelt had joined him, the two went opposite ways within the long grass. Slinking around, jaws open to scent the air, a thick scent of mouse hit his nose. Tilting his head, he pressed his ear to the ground, listening. Mostly, he could hear the rumbling of the monsters tearing up the earth, but as he closed his eyes, he could hear the scuffling of mice. There was a nest below him. Looking around, he spotted a hole for them to escape and tore a bundle of grass up to shove in the hole. After that was done, he moved back to the scuffling, where he started digging with sharp claws. After a moment, mice started fleeing from the caved in earth. A snarl escaped Eaglecry as he dove forwards, swiping one of the mice up with a deadly bite. Swinging a paw, his claws caught a second one, before a third one ran right between his legs. Killing the second mouse, he took off after the third one, pouncing on powerful legs. He landed with a triumphant hiss and killed the third one.
Turning, he scooped up all three mice, carrying them by their tails. His flanks heaved for breath as he moved to find the dark furred Bluffclan warrior. The wind drew the commanding call of the toms leader to them. Around the mice he was carrying, he gave a quick growl to Shadepelt. "I think the clans are about to leave. Hurry up, so we can meet them. We can always carry this prey for the elders to eat when we take a break." He moved to dart back towards camp, glancing over his shoulder to make sure the tom was following him,

Foxtumble Tom ; Warrior ; 28 Moons
Watching his mate eat without a care in the world, for the first time in moons, swelled Foxtumble's heart. His eyes locked on the pretty red molly until the presence of their medicine cat jerked his attention from her. He meowed his thanks as she dropped herbs in front of them, before eating his share. Yet, as he ate his fill of the traveling herbs, he practically choked on the last mouthful. Vixenshine was stating that she wasn't going. Swallowing hard, he watched with a gaped jaw as Galewhistle accepted her words and left the den. His sharp orange eyes flickered to Feathersoul, who had opened her mouth to speak. Yet, at his look, she simply ushered her kits from the den and left him and his mate and their kits alone.
For a moment, silence stretched between them. Then, he spoke, voice thick with fear and anger. "You are not staying behind Vixenshine. If you stay, I'm staying. I won't leave you behind." He stomped a large paw against the nursery floor, eyes blazing. "I don't care what you say. I'll carry you if I have to. Our kits need their mother. I NEED you." He voice grew desperate, his eyes pleading with his mate. The thought of living a life without her. The thought of twolegs killing her. The thought of their kits growing without a mother, tore him to pieces.
Just then, Jackdawstar appeared and shared a glance with him. Relief washed over the tom for a moment as he stepped aside to allow his leader to address his mate. His ears pricked up at the leaders words and his eyes widened slightly. He would call off the clan leaving, just for his mate. Respect brewed in his eyes as he nudged Vixenshine slightly. Serious blue eyes landed on her mentor. meeting his warm amber eyes. She nodded at his words, knowing he was right when it came to the strength of the two clans. The thought of helping carrying a tiny body along the way, gave her a small smile to her maw. How great the duty would be, to get such tiny little ones to a new home, across the cold and bulky mountains. Yet, her thoughts were cut short as her mentor spoke again. This time giving her another duty. To keep an eye on her denmates. She glanced around, looking out for the others. Moonpaw didn't need her, never had. Windpaw would have Spiderwatcher by her side. Mysticpaw was near the elders and would swat her over the head if she tried to check on him. And Honeypaw, well the young apprentice was just a spoiled little mouse-brain. Her nose scrunched up for a moment before she nodded slightly, returning her eyes to the sandy ginger tom. "I'll do my best, Rowanblaze. Though, I must tell you, each apprentice is as determined as I am. They don't need me. But I'll keep my eye out for each of them."
A big sigh escaped her as the call was given for the clans to begin their journey. Her gaze traveled to watched Feathersoul take her kits to her mate, where the two carried their family on their backs. She glanced up at her mentor, a question in her eyes. Foxtumble and Vixenshine hadn't joined them. "I hope everything is okay. Maybe we should go in there and get the kits.?" ❖ [ Rowanblaze(aether ) ] ❖ [ Adventure Time! ] ❖ [Heathclan] •❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•

Moonpaw Molly ; Apprentice ; 10 Moons
When the elderly medicine cat remembered her name, tiny shuffles of her two front paws gave away her excitement. She turned bright gray eyes on the fluffy gray tom. The green ring around them reflecting in the morning light. She gave a nod as he spoke her name, ears flickering up slightly. She followed him to a patch of sunlight and sat beside him as he relaxed. Before she could answer him, he rambled on about some beehive at home and a small snort of laughter escaped her. Yet she quickly flattened her ears and murmured apology to the tom. While he didn't make sense half the time, she couldn't help but feel that he was wiser than any clan cat she had ever met.
As he spoke of destiny, a path that was drawn out before they were even born, she wanted to scream her agreement to the world at his words. Her own paws tugged at her to a path different from the one she was taking. Yet, she had fought it and chosen the path of a warrior instead. Opening her maw, she went to speak, yet closed it as Galewhistle brought them not only herbs, but prey to share. She simply shook her head and pushed the remainder to the bird to Birdscreech. "You will need it more than I do." She crouched down and ate her herbs, before cleaning her face. After a moment, she glanced at Birdscreech, gaze watching him. "How come you haven't taken an apprentice.? Aren't you worried about leaving the clans with no one to follow in your pawsteps.?"

Spiderwatcher Molly ; Warrior ; 40 Moons
Before Stormchill could even answer her, the leaders had separated. Jackdawstar was slipping into the nursery and Silentstar was addressing the clans. She watched the molly as she gave the orders to head out and tilted her head slightly. Giving Stormchill a gentle touch with her tail, she nodded her head to him. "Well. I guess we better get going. Excuse me. I must find Windpaw." She gave a curt nod, her breath catching in her throat as she padded away, looking for her apprentice. She hadn't spoken to her since the day before, and her mind swirled with the thoughts of the journey ahead. Thankfully, she would be scouting the group, traveling around everyone. Her apprentice would stay by her side, perfect for her to keep an eye on the young molly.
Slipping towards the apprentices den, she gave a soft call to her apprentice. "Windpaw. Come on. It's time to go. We need to stick near the edges. Let's move out of the camp." Flicking her ears, she turned and headed out of the camp, before settling outside and waiting for the clans to move out. She would stand there until everyone was gone, before doing one last sweep of the camp.
(Maybe Stormchill can travel with Silentstar at first.? And thats how they find his brother.? Maybe they stumble upon him, leading the clans. He'd be the one to spot him first.?) •❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•

(My thoughts exactly! I just wanted to get them moving. Out of the camp. Towards the mountains! Once they’ve left camp, we can slow down. And everyone can develop more with their characters. I am completely on board. And can’t wait to see how everyone’s characters develop.)

Stormclaw Tom | Warrior | 23 moons HeathClan Camp/Territory | Graypebble, Shadedspeck (♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥)
Stormclaw sat still with steely determination, staring at the sun until Galewhistle brought over some traveling herbs for him. Nodding his head in wordless thanks, as he began to eat the herbs, he wondered how the HeathClan medicine cat had managed to scrounge up so many for so many cats. As he watched her pad to her next task, he wondered just how tired she really was. Maybe he ought to check up on her... Finishing the herbs, he realized it would have to wait. The journey would begin soon, and he needed to make sure he was as prepared as possible. And so he stood, drifting into his own thoughts of what the near future would hold.
Soon, Silentstar stood in the middle of the clearing and began addressing the Clans, announcing the beginning of the journey. He remembered what he had been told to do by Shadowpuddle yesterday, and searched for the elders. Seeing that Graypebble was nearly carring Shadedspeck along, and knowing how old the BluffClan elder was, he quickly reached them and offered to give Graypebble a hand. Judging from the last few words he caught her saying as he approached, Shadedspeck had told the others he'd wanted to stay, only for them to refuse. Allowing the BluffClan elder to put his weight on him he said, "You're coming on this journey, and we're all going to make it. We may be from different Clans, and you may not be in your prime, but you've shown enough heart and courage throughout your life to make any journey." Even though Shadedspeck was from BluffClan, Stormclaw had heard legends about the old tom as a kit and apprentice; about how he was one of the greatest warriors seen in not just BluffClan, but both Clans. He'd admired him growing up, and it was nice to be able to help him now.
ShadepeltTom | Warrior | 24 moons HeathClan Territory | Eaglecry (♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥)
Shadepelt heard Eaglecry call to him that the Clans were beginning to leave, so quickly he killed the mouse he was tracking, dug up the one he'd caught earlier, and carried them over to the BluffClan warrior. "Let's move," he said. Following the path that Eaglecry had shown him, he darted from bush to bush, feeling more comfortable with the terrain than he had when he'd first exited the HeathClan camp. Eventually, they reached where everyone was beginning to exit the camp, heading toward the mountains. Grimacing, he realized that the journey was finally starting. Taking a deep breath, and not stopping to worry how it would affect everyone, especially the weaker members of the Clans, he began to get into formation. Wolfstorm had informed last night that he was to be stationed near the queens, and so he found Feathersoul and the BluffClan deputy, and started walking alongside them, carrying the mice in his jaws by their tails.
He didn't bother trying to strike up a conversation with the couple, nor did he have the energy to. They were far too focused on the journey and the safety of their kits, and he should be focused on protecting them to the best of his ability, especially Feathersoul and her kits. Keeping his golden gaze ahead, he looked at the rising sun and the mountains that lay under it, and sent a final prayer to StarClan; Please keep everyone on this journey safe from any danger.

Yeah, can't wait to see different dynamics between the characters! I know both of mine might seem normal now, but as the journey goes on, their flaws and traits will start to show... Can't wait to see some character development from everyone!

( I'm in agreement with you guys! There will definitely be time for more character/relationship development after we get everything moving and on the way to the mountains! I expected a couple fast-paced posts to get us there c: )
Gullfeather - BluffClan - Stonepelt ( aether )
Gullfeather waited with an amused look for the gray tom to finish his snarky comment, but her head snapped to where Silentstar had interrupted. With widening eyes, she looked down at Stonepelt after the leader had finished. It was finally happening. If she hadn't been processing the reality of it all, she would have most definitely made a comment about how ridiculous the gray warrior had looked getting to his paws. However, the serious tone in his meow was enough to let the white and gray she-cat know joking would have to be set aside for now. As he padded off towards the throng of cats, Gullfeather leapt to her paws and bounded after him, pressing her side to his when she caught up. Preemptively expecting a comment about her closeness, she shoved him lightly, "It's still freezing and I'm just making sure you don't do something mouse-brained and actually get left behind." She defended herself. Only half of what she said was true. Obviously the wind was still buffeting the cats and even Gullfeather's thick pelt wasn't keeping her warm enough. However, she knew Stonepelt wouldn't get left. In truth, she had felt so brave up until now; now, it was really time to go and even though she was surrounded by cats, she couldn't help but feel lost. She wanted to be with a cat she knew. Okay, fine, a cat that she thought could tolerate her. Of course, she would rather throw herself off a cliff than ever admit to anyone, especially a cat as snarky as Stonepelt, that she was, for the first time in her life, scared.

Foxpounce🦊 - HeathClan Camp;; 🦊 - Honeypaw ;; 🦊 - ~Skyblaze~ ;; The wind tugged at his fur and whiskers bringing an icy chill. The hint of rabbit scent caught over his tongue and he smirked maniacally at the thought of filling his stomach with fresh prey. Stalking forward, Foxpounce moved expertly over the grass slope to ensure his scent would not reach the rabbit's nose. Finally, he was near enough to streak towards it and caught it in his paws. As he bunched his muscles to spring into chase, the rabbit turned it's head and began speaking. Flabbergasted, Foxpounce recoiled and bared his fangs, the rabbit's gibberish became louder and louder until... Foxpounce jerked from his sleep, her ears swiveled to the voices of Brooksong and Rushingfire as the pair exited the den. He felt a growl rise in his chest and his claws instinctively unsheathed and sank into the thinly spread moss he'd used to sleep on. Of course it would be Rushingfire who woke him!
Pushing himself to his paws, he briskly stalked out of the den and brushed past Brooksong as he did so. He didn't pause or look back to the two BluffClan cats, instead, he glanced around the clearing. Silentstar's words sounded a moment after Foxpounce had begun to take in all the cats and even he was able to brush down his temper to make way for a moment of surprise.
I'd better gather my apprentice, he glanced to the apprentice den where Honeypaw stood and he sucked in a deep breath. He hadn't an inkling as to why Jackdawstar gave him such a nuisance of an apprentice. He padded up to her and rose his chin haughtily, "Come on, you heard her. Eat your herbs and let's go." There was no sense of mentor-apprentice comrade ship to be interpreted from the ginger toms tone or body language. His tail flicked in annoyance - it hadn't stopped since he'd woken - and he nodded to the pile of leaves Honeypaw had pushed aside. "You don't get any prey until you've had the herbs." He would stick to his words, too.
[ my thoughts in matching foxpounce and honeypaw was just 'who would be the worst mentor for honeypaw' because i thought it would be funny xD ]
Brooksong🎶 - HeathClan Camp ;; 🎶 - Rushingfire ;; 🎶 - ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥ ;; Brooksong bent her head and lapped up the bitter travel herbs. It was an effort to stop herself gagging as the emulsion of flavours danced over her tastebuds. Scrunching up her nose, she swallowed the herbs and and nodded in agreement to the flaming ginger tom. "There mustn't be much hope for me then," her swiped her tongue over her lips distastefully as she spoke, "if you haven't gotten used to it in 68 moons I don't think I'll be used to it anytime soon either." It was nice to the see the tom relaxing somewhat in her presence. When Foxpounce stalked past her, brushing her shoulder and making her stumble a step, she tipped her head. She didn't say anything to the tom as he seemed rather peeved, his storm-like demeanor crashed with thunder with each step he took. She purred softly and looked back to Rushingfire, "Yes, let's travel together. I'd like that." At the very least she'd be able to keep the two toms apart.
"Come on, we don't want to be left behind." With a flick of her tail she padded towards the group of cats at formed at Silentstar's front, a swirl of pride rose in her chest as she admired her leaders strength in these trying times. "I have to say I'm pretty nervous," she shuffled her paws and looked back to Rushingfire, "But I'm glad we have everyone to help us." Rowanblaze🍁 - HeathClan Camp ;; 🍁 - Swiftpaw ;; 🍁 - ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥ ;;
The seriousness in Swiftpaw's eyes made Rowanblaze's own yellow-green eyes soften. His apprentice had always been noble and well-spoken but he couldn't help feel bad that her apprenticeship had taken such a dark turn. His own apprenticeship, moons ago, had been the most blissful period of his life. Now this young cat stood before him with the seriousness and wisdom of an elder. He purred and bent to give her a soothing lick atop her head, "I know they can take care of themselves. I just want you to make sure they do." He clarified. When the call was made he gestured for Swiftpaw to follow as they made their way to the group of cats, pausing to listen when the small she-cat spoke again. His gaze drifted to the nursery and he hesitated. While he understood the need to want to help he didn't want to get in the way. He shook his head slowly, "I don't think we should go in there, we might get in the way. We can wait back a bit and help though when they come out?" He suggested. Rarely he liked to shut-down others when they expressed ideas, hence his desire to compromise. Sagetail 🍀 - HeathClan Camp ;; 🍀 - Beetleflight, Shadedspeck, Graypebble ;; 🍀 - ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥ , ~Skyblaze~ ;;
Sagetail's mouth worked with shock at Shadedspeck's decision to stay. His pale green eyes widened and he'd glanced to Graypebble. The bitter tang of herbs still invaded his senses and he quickly made an effort to swallow them so he could join her in convincing Shadedspeck to join them on the journey. Thankfully, she was able to use her natural motherly instincts to convince him and Sagetail's purred a rough sound in his chest. "We are all old and fragile, Shadedspeck. We were warriors once, too. Imagine if we were warriors, would you leave anyone behind?" The question was rhetorical, spoken as Sagetail clambered shakily to his paws. He followed Graypebble out of the den and shivered immediately as the cold outdoors reached under his pelt and touched his skin. The bitter air sucked into his throat and clasped his lungs in icy prisons, instantly making his breathing feel constricted. His asthma was worsening with the cold weather. Numbly, he followed his denmates, wheezing somewhat but neglecting to draw attention to himself. He wanted to go on this journey. He wanted to find the new home. But his body was disintegrating whilst his heart and mind yearned for adventure.

(I know you're all excited to get moving, so Vixenshine won't put up too much of a fuss ) Vixenshine | HeathClan | Queen | Foxtumble (♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥), Jackdawstar (aether)At Foxtumble's words, Vixenshine whipped her head to face her mate, eyes glittering in anguish. "If you stay you'll die too, Foxtumble! If I go the Clan will have to slow down for me. We could get caught by twolegs, or worse!" It was clear this wasn't an impulse decision. She had thought this over since the decision to leave, and the birth of her kits had decided things. She would make sure they would survive, even if she did not. She gently nosed each of them as they mewled at her belly, the difficulty of the decision clear. As Jackdawstar appeared in the den, she was prepared to say the same things to him, but one look from her leader, and she closed her maw. He already knew. He knew the risks. And yet, he was willing to do it for her? The whole Clan...Doubt flickered in her mind, and Foxtumble pushed on her moment of uncertainty. If she could really dare to hope...to travel with her kits and watch them grow...Finally, the queen let out a long, shuddering breath. "Very well." She mewed slowly, looking for Jackdawstar and Foxtumble. "If you truly believe it, I will come. But if for even a second I begin to slow you down, leave me behind." She mewed firmly. "I will not let a clanmate die for me." She bent down and licked her kits again. "I...I would like to name these kits before we leave." She requested. "In case..." Her voice shook. "In case anything happens."Wolfstorm & Lynxkit | BluffClan | Deputy & Kit | Feathersoul, Tinykit (♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥)Wolfstorm had been making some last minute preparations, directing warriors to their positions, when Feathersoul and the kits approached. He gave an affectionate purr as his son clambered onto his shoulders. "Won't it be fun to ride with me at the beginning?" He mewed up to the little tom. "I'll be moving to the outer ring eventually, but there are plenty of warriors to carry you two." The words were directed more to Feathersoul, reassuring her that the Clan would take care of their kits. "Make sure you hold on tight." He prompted to Tinykit. Lynxkit definitely was unhappy with the arrangement. The feisty little kit was excited to finally travel, and when it finally arrived, it turned out, she wouldn't actually do any of the traveling. The pout on her expression made it clear exactly how she felt about all of this, but she didn't complain, hopping onto her mother's back. At least she would get a nice view out of this. She wished she shared her brother's enthusiasm, but she would perk up once they started moving. Stagrunner & Thunderflash | HeathClan | Warriors | Fernheart (aether)Stagrunner felt as anxious as Fernheart looked, but he didn't bring it up, if it meant Fernheart would move closer, which she did. He felt his stomach do a couple weird flipflops, and his fur fluffed out. "We'll be fine." He meowed in a tone he hoped sounded reassuring. He had hoped they would stay there a bit longer, and the order to move was given. With it, Fernheart moved away, and back to the warrior's den. "Ah, Fernheart, wait, Thunderflash can wake hims-" And she was gone. Stagrunner's tail drooped in mild disappointment as he moved to join the rest of his clan, wondering for a moment how his brother got to be so lucky. Meanwhile, Thunderflash had already awoken from a fitful sleep. Unlike other cats, who were anxious about themselves, or each other, Thunderflash slept soundly with no worries. His only instinct at the moment was self preservation, and that instinct wasn't currently being threatened, so all was well in the world. He couldn't imagine the stress that came with caring about his clanmates. He took a moment to open his eyes as Fernheart prodded him 'awake', getting to his paws. Ah, Fernheart. The one cat in this Clan that he loved. Or at least, he thought he did. He didn't really know what it meant to 'love', but he assumed that what he felt was love. "Thank you for fetching me, Fernheart." He mewed gravely. "I hadn't slept well. I'd just begun to nod off." A lie. He'd slept better than any cat. "I assume we're leaving?" He asked, and upon reaching the affirmative, he reached out and touched his nose to her ear. "Let's go." He murmured softly, leading the way out of the den. "There's nothing left for us here." Beetleflight | BluffClan | Elder | Shadedspeck, Mysticpaw (♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥)Beetleflight was quick to follow out of the Elder's Den, and he matched Shadedspeck's stride. "I am not leaving you, you mousebrain!" He mewed in a growl fiercer than anything the good-natured elder had ever emitted. "You will make it through this. I will be your eyes and ears!" He croaked. "I'll guide you every step of the way, as long as my bones can carry me. If you believe you bring no value to this Clan, then you're sorely mistaken, my friend!" His gaze was urging, and though Shadedspeck couldn't see his face, he hoped the emotion it carried got through to him. As Mysticpaw arrived beside them, he breathed a silent prayer of relief to StarClan. The young tom was exactly what he needed to keep an eye on Shadedspeck and get him going on this journey. "Hello, Mysticpaw." He mewed kindly, nodding to the HeathClan tom. "Please, join us. I could use a set of young paws to guide this hedgehog out of the moor." He chuckled. "I'll have some stories for you, and I'm sure Shadedspeck does too. Isn't that right?" He nudged his old friend gently. Windpaw | HeathClan | Apprentice | Spiderwatcher (♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥)Windpaw had worked diligently that morning, hunting whatever prey she could to prepare for the journey, and later dashing around checking on every cat. She had paused for a few moments of rest in the apprentice's den, when Spiderwatcher called out to her. The young molly dashed out promptly to join her. "We're really going." She mused as she watched the cats of both Clans filing out of camp. The reality of the situation finally seemed to reach her, and she felt a pang of sadness. She was young, and had only begun her life. She couldn't imagine how it felt for the older warriors and elders, who'd lived here their entire lives. Or for the BluffClan cats, who'd lost their home entirely. "No cat left behind." She murmured out loud, mostly to herself. She sat right beside her mentor as she watched cats leave the camp. Despite it all, there was a thrill of excitement running through her paws. This was a chance for her to see more of the world. No doubt, there were things to learn that would make her a better warrior. Her expression soured slightly as she watched Honeypaw prance by out of camp, seemingly unaffected by the whole thing and away from her mentor. "Honeypaw." She grumbled under her breath. "If a cat was ever mouse-brained. Just what has Foxpounce been actually mentoring her in?" She hissed. To the hardworking and studious apprentice, Honeypaw's life seemed carefree and irresponsible. Then, she realized that she'd been speaking out loud, and her mentor had been close enough to hear everything. She slapped her tail over her own mouth in horror as embarrassment prickled her fur. (I'll just keep the replies brief and relevant to what's going on, I'll have time for the rest of my characters once we're on the road.)

Honeyshade HeathClan || with Harestep, Feathersoul, and Tinykit “Hah!” Honeyshade said, casting a glance at Harestep’s admittedly long legs. “Guess I’d have to compensate by carving out the best route through the tunnels!” Her mirth faded in her voice as she looked back out at the moor. She listened to Harestep’s words, slowly nodding as the warrior’s sentiments sowed some semblance of hope within her.
“Yes,” she said, looking over at Harestep. “And we aren’t going to let each other down.” Honeyshade looked back at the rising sun, climbing into the icy blue of the sky. “Let’s go build this new home together.”
When she re-entered camp with Harestep, they came back just in time for Silentstar to rally the clans together in preparation for the journey. Honeyshade quickly padded over to the queens, as she’d been assigned to watch over them for the time being.
She noticed Jackdawstar speaking to Vixenshine. It seemed urgent, so she padded over to the other queen. “Feathersoul,” she greeted the queen quietly. “I’ll be helping you throughout the trip. I can carry any kits along for the first stretch.”
Honeyshade smiled at Tinykit. “That’s right, further than any cat!” she purred, ignoring the pit in her stomach. As relieved was she was that the kit saw this journey as an adventure, she couldn’t help but see tragedy in this tiny kit. Could he yet grasp that he was about to leave his home forever? He was so young - would he even remember it?
((i have a show tonight, so i’ll write out birdscreech and blazingsky afterwards!))

Stonepelt🐚 - HeathClan Camp ;; 🐚 - Gullfeather ;; 🐚 - shadowstreak ;;
The sudden warmth of Gullfeather's pelt against his own came as a shock, honestly. He stared ahead intensely, stiffening at her closeness. Truthfully, it wasn't often Stonepelt interacted closely with others even when they were members of his own clan. His tendency to be crabby and dry left others happy to interact with him as an acquaintance but not so often as a dear friend. Her warmth radiated into his own pelt; or perhaps that was just the unexpected heat that was suddenly pulsing in his ears. Thankfully she spoke before he could. He felt too taken aback to say something witty.
"It's not me I'm worried about getting behind," he mumbled. He made no effort to move away despite his quiet, sarcastic tone. Internally he couldn't deny the comfort it brought him knowing that someone was close. He'd been ready to embark on the journey alone among the sea of cats, but here was someone just like him; alone yet not wanting to be. He felt his shoulders relax, however he still didn't turn to look at her. "We'll keep an eye on each other." His words were short and brief as to be expected from the grey tabby tom, there was a strain to his tone though. Perhaps it was an attempt to sound kinder? If it was, it was hard to tell.
