JackdawstarSilentstar || HeathClan Leader || ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥HeathClan Camp
Wind rippled over the moor like a wave of silver shifting the dew-speckled grass. Jackdawstar sat upon the great rock, chilled and dew-spotted, with his yellow eyes staring ahead. He hadn't been able to sleep in his den. It had felt so quiet and eerie, the silence of the den soon became filled with overwhelming thoughts that pressed on his conscience. Am I doing the right thing? Well before dawn he'd risen and settled upon the great rock to watch over the two clans. As the sun now lifted from its sleep, turning the sky a streaky, creamy pink he closed his eyes. I hope we are doing the right thing. A familiar scent wafted into his nose. Without opening his eyes, he knew Dovefur was nearby, and his tensed shoulders eased. We're not alone, no matter where we go.
He'd been updated on the birth of Vixenshine and Foxtumble's three healthy kits which had only further thrown a fork in the plan; could they possibly be fit to travel? Newborn kits were so delicate, they would be forced to stop frequently to allow them to suckle and regain warmth. Yet, he felt a press on his shoulders. We have to leave. Already he could feel a trembling hum from the earth: the twolegs were beginning their destruction. There was no telling when they would invade this last sanctuary they had. His heart stuttered with a pang, would he be able to look Foxtumble in the eyes and tell him that his exhausted mate and newborn kits would simple had no choice but to embark on the journey?
The black tom pushed himself to his paws and gritted his teeth against the stiffness that he felt in his muscles. It was obvious that sitting in the cold all night was a poor decision, but he was thankful of the clarity it gave to his mind. The anxious thoughts were swirled into the breeze and swept away when he was out his den. He leaped down from the rock and shook out his pelt, a few droplets scattered onto the earth from the dew that have formed, and he padded to Silentstar's make-shift nest, formed from a trampled lot of heather nearby his own. "Silentstar?" He breathed, the warmth from his maw formed a cloud in the air, "It is dawn." His yellow eyes darkened seriously. He waited outside the den, not wanting to invade on her privacy.

Stormclaw Tom | Warrior | 23 moons HeathClan Camp
Dark blue eyes shot open as Stormclaw awoke from his dream, one where he was overlooking a peaceful area he once explored in HeathClan camp. Cats were hunting not far from where he saw, and the trees and hills nearby were lush with life. But that serene dream faded as it began to be replaced with the harsh reality that surrounded him; BluffClan camp had been destroyed, and pretty soon HeathClan's camp would be next. Or rather, their former camp. The day the journey began had arrived. He stood up, stretching his long legs and let out a silent yawn. He didn't want to wake any warriors that were sleeping nearby. Silently, he snuck out of the warriors' den and out into the open camp. A cold leafbare wind greeted him, and he wished for the millionth time in only his second leaf-bare that he had a longer coat of fur.
He breathed out deeply, and inhaled, wondering what the day would bring. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Jackdawstar waiting outside of what he thought was Silentstar's den. Probably trying to confer before the big journey. He looked out at the rising sun, and thought about how the journey would impact him. He was a healthy warrior, not even at his prime yet, but as lithe, lean, and fast as any great HeathClan warrior. He had hoped as a kit, apprentice, and even now to be remembered as one of the greatest cats not only in HeathClan, but in both Clans, when he was done. Maybe if he did something heroic or brave during this journey, it would help him cement that status. He might even get promoted to deputy.
He began to pace as he thought of the dangers that might accompany his task of getting fame. The mountains would be the first obstacle to get through, and climbing through those looked like no easy task. After that, who knows what? They might find things they never even knew existed. The thought excited him, but a shiver of fear accompanied this feeling. He gulped and tried to look determined, in case any early birds were watching his movements and expression. He swore to himself then and there that he'd face anything with bravery and unwavering courage, even if it meant defying a new threat that no Clan cat had ever seen. A strong feeling of determination swelled inside him, and his dark blue eyes glowed with reflected sunlight as the precursor to hell began.
Shadepelt Tom | Warrior | 23 moons HeathClan Camp
Shadepelt shook out his fur and stood up. He'd been roused from his sleep a while ago by a nightmare, one where he was surrounded by a dark forest with invisible cats laughing at him, their malevolent eyes glowing with hatred. He realized that he was sweating, which was strange in leaf-bare, even if he had a long coat of fur. Looking around the camp, he noticed not many warriors were up. The sun certainly wasn't very high in the sky, so the journey likely wouldn't start for the next few hours. Stretching, he wondered if he should make use of himself and hunt. Even though he didn't know HeathClan territory well, starting the day off with a hunt and bringing something back would definitely make for a good beginning for today. The HeathClan queen who had just bore kits last night could certainly use every bit of food she could get her paws on.
Glancing around, he saw that he didn't have a lot of options as far as who to take with him for a hunting patrol. He'd prefer a HeathClan cat who could show him around the territory; the best places to hunt, certain techniques, etc., but there didn't seem like many options, and Shadepelt wasn't feeling exactly sociable. Sighing to himself, he began to pad toward the entrance to the camp, figuring that if he didn't get out and do something soon, he'd be left with his thoughts and nightmares; an idea he shivered at.

Silentstar Molly ; Leader ; 70 Moons
While sleep had not come easily to the Bluffclan leader, she had forced herself to at least try and rest her aching legs. Jackdawstar had been kind enough to help her make a nest of trampled down bracken now far from his own. While she had spent much of her night discussing the plans for the journey with Wolfstorm, Jackdawstar and Shadowpuddle, the leader had a cloud of doubt hanging over her mind when she'd finally retired to her makeshift nest. It was only a mere few hours before dawn, when her mind settled and she drifted into a deep sleep. Her paws twitched as she dreamed of the twoleg invasion, her heart pounding and soft meowls escaping her.
Her dream ended abruptly when a soft voice sounded in her ears. A warm breath billowed in her ears and she flickered them before opening her eyes. Tan eyes blinked sleepily as she was surrounded by the scent of Heathclan's leader. As his words rang in her ears, she sighed softly. Forcing herself to her paws, she quickly groomed her silver and black spotted fur. Once her fur was flattened, she gazed are her usually sleek and shiny flank, which was now dull. Her ribs and hip bones jutted out, showing moons of lack of prey. For a moment, her heart ached at the thought of leading their clans away from the place they had always called home. But after a moment of slow and steady breaths, the molly pushed her way from the area she had slept.
Padding to Jackdawstar's side, the older leader gave a small dip of her head to the black tom, before settling beside him. "Good morning, Jackdawstar. Are you sure we should be leaving with Vixenshine being so weak.? Her kits are only a day old." While she questioned him, Silentstar knew the best option was to leave now. The hum and vibrations of the twolegs and their monsters was nearing the camp already this morning. Even though the sun was just starting to peak over the horizon. It was clear that by sunhigh, the twolegs could be invading the very camp where the two clans resided.

Wolfstorm | BluffClan | Deputy | Silentstar (♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥), Jackdawstar (aether)It had been a long night for Wolfstorm. After handling the night's patrols, he'd stopped by the nursery to spend some time with his family and make sure they were doing okay. He didn't stay long, however. Vixenshine was resting, and he didn't want to disturb the injured queen. He had then met with Silentstar, Jackdawstar, and Shadowpuddle. After a long night of discussion, he had finally settled down in a small nest by the warrior's den. He awoke now, gaze bleary and fur ruffled from the cold. A chill was natural and he was used to it from the crisp sea breeze they lived by, but the moors seemed to constantly be buffeted by blustery winds. At first, alarm flitted through his blue gaze as he realized he was in a foreign camp, and then he relaxed as he recounted the events of the previous day. Shaking out his fur, he saw Silentstar conversing with Jackdawstar, and he padded over to join them, ears flicking in greeting. "Good morning, Silentstar, Jackdawstar." He meowed wearily. He sounded as if he hadn't slept at all, though he'd had a few hours. The whole Clan was tired, and the only thing keeping any cat upbeat was the thought of finding some prey, wherever they were going. - Vixenshine | HeathClan | Queen | Foxtumble, Feathersoul (♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥)Vixenshine had slept through most of the day and night, only awakening sparsely for some water. She'd been so disoriented she hadn't even recognized her mates or looked at her kits before promptly falling asleep again. She drifted in and out of consciousness for a few hours before finally settling into a fitful sleep. Thankfully, she hadn't started bleeding again. Now, as dawn broke she awoke, blinking the heavy fog of sleep out of her eyes. Dawn light filtered into the nursery. She shifted gingerly, turning her head to look at her flank. The heavy weight of the kits she had been carrying was gone, replaced now with the thick wad of cobweb and horsetail. The kits! Alarm coursed through her as she realized there were no kits at her flank. Where were they? "Foxtumble?" She called out, voice quavering as the panic rose. "Foxtumble, where are our kits?" She asked again. She tried to stand, but couldn't, and when she tried again, pain lanced through her, forcing her to the ground once more. In her panic, she didn't realize they were just a few fox-lengths away from her. "Foxtumble!" She called again desperately. - Galewhistle | HeathClan | Medicine Cat | Silentstar (♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥), Jackdawstar (aether)Galewhistle had spent the rest of her night treating patients. There were odd scratches and bruises, but thankfully no major injuries. After giving Beetleflight some daisy for his paw and Shadedspeck comfrey for his torn claw, she had decided she could get some rest. Though a few hours passed, it only felt like it had been a few minutes when she raised her head once more. Deciding now was a good a time as any to check on her patients, she struggled to her paws and exited the medicine den. She spotted Birdscreech sleeping, and felt a pang of sympathy for the old tom. He was old and had no apprentice, and needed to handle everything on his own. She was young, and had many, many moons stretching before her, for her to even think about taking on an apprentice. She would have to help out as much as she could. She spotted Jackdawstar conversing with the BluffClan leader and deputy, and padded forward, dipping her head in greeting to her leader and the two BluffClan cats. "Greetings." She mewed. "I know you're anxious to leave, but I need some time to prepare traveling herbs." She meowed. "Birdscreech doesn't seem to be in any shape to help out just yet, so it will take a moment. I also want to check on Vixenshine and the elders before we get moving." She fixed her leader with a testy gaze that only a medicine cat could take with a leader. "Quite frankly, Vixenshine shouldn't be moving for another couple sunrises. I understand we don't have the time, but it's a miracle in itself that she's survived the night. It could kill her, Jackdawstar. I will do everything I can if we are leaving today, but I can't promise she'll make the journey unless we rest regularly."

Scarletfall-Heathclan-Open Scarletfall had failed to get some sleep, with all the new cats in the den she was unable to. So she had spent the night outside. She looked around as she began to see that dawn had arrived. She shook out her fur as a yawn slipped out from her. The gold she cat stood up, glancing over to the medicine cat den. Part of her hoped the traveling herbs gave her some strength for the day. She went out of the way back to where she sat for most of the previous day, waiting for when it was time to head off.
Shadowpuddle-Heathclan-Open Shaodwpuddle exited the warrior's den. The Heathclan deputy looked around the camp. He would miss the old home but it was for the best for the clan to leave. He wasn't to happy over the new kits, it would cause alot more stress and trouble on the journey, as new born kits need alot of care at the start of their lives. But he did feel happy for his clanmates that they had started a family. He would make sure that some of the strong warriors would be with the queens and kits to better give protection for them. Part if him was worried on hos the first day of the journey was going to go.
Mossystream-Heathclan-Open Mossystream was in the warriors den. The she cat had woken up a few moments ago, but where she was, she couldn't exit the den easily without waking up a few of her clanmates. She didn't want to risk that, as they all would need as much sleep as possible for the journey. She rested her head on her paws, as she waited for the rest of the sleeping cats to wake around her.
Halfeye-Heathclan-Closed Halfeye was still asleep.
Tinycloud-Bluffclan-Open Tinycloud was in the clearing of camp. He had spent most of the night worrying about his daughters. He looked around the Heathclan camp, he had heard about the new kits being born in Heathclan. It was a wonderful thing for two cats to have together. But it made the tom miss his own mate even more. He looked up at the sky, he knew she was in Starclan watching over them.
Ashpaw/Morningpaw-Bluffclan-Closed Ashpaw and Morningpaw were still fast asleep in the Heathclan apprentice den.
Woolbreath-Bluffclan-Open Woolbreath exited the warriors den, he had been on the outer area so he was able to leave without the risk of waking others. The tom stretched as he yawned. He was eager to see what the day would bring. They all would be heading for the mountains today, and hopefully it went well.

( hey guys! sorry I’ve been absent - I wanted to give frost a chance to reply with Mysticpaw before continuing on the hunting patrol with Stormchill & co. But, since we’re moving ahead, I’ll get to work on dawn starters!
I was gonna have Stormchill discover his brother had been killed by a twoleg monster so I could kick off his character arc and rivalry plot w/ Stormpelt, but I think I missed that opportunity. Ehh, I’ll work it in somehow cx I’m excited to get this show on the road! ^^ )

Harestep - HeathClan - Open The golden brown tom watched as the camp began to slowly wake up around him. He wasn't sure how long he had been staring at the sky for last night after Scarletfall had left, but he must have fallen asleep out there eventually. He awoke with dew on his pelt and had begun the lengthy task of cleaning his fur as more and more cats awoke. Today was the day. His expression was one of both worry and determination. After several more heartbeats, he stood and shook out his fur, looking around to see if he could find a cat who may need his help.
Gullfeather - BluffClan - Open Gullfeather had trouble sleeping, like most others she was sure. Glad that it was finally dawn and she could be doing something, she stood, stretching out her limbs before pushing out of the warrior's den. It was strange sleeping among the HeathClan cats and she was happy to be out in the camp again. Her paws itched with anticipation as she sheathed and unsheathed her claws into the ground impatiently.

Words caught in Jackdawstar's throat as Silentstar's inquisitive tan eyes befell him. Her words mimicked his own concerns and he hesitated, averting his gaze sheepishly. He didn't know if they should be leaving so soon, but something in his gut was pulling him to leave. Thankfully Wolfstorm padded over a moment later, his dark fur was pushed to bone as the wind didn't let up for even a heartbeat. Jackdawstar dipped his head formally to the BluffClan deputy, "Greetings, Wolfstorm." When he lifted his head his gaze was grim. Soon, they would be leaving, and the burden of rounding the clans was left on their shoulders. Jackdawstar was ashamed to admit that he was glad for the excuse to abandon Silentstar's question regarding Vixenshine. Honestly, Jackdawstar didn't know what to do. Leaving was his idea, it was his burden to bare, but he couldn't help feeling so alone and yet so responsible. What if because of his decision something irreversible happened to the queen or kits? His thoughts were disturbed by Galewhistle's approach.
He initially nodded along with her quick, straight-forward words. It was a relief that he could count on his medicine cat, even though she was still so young. However, she stared at him with a gaze he recognized well, and the fur around his neck began to prick uneasily. Uncharacteristically, he scowled, "I know it's dangerous for her!" He snapped, his voice thick with tension, "Don't you think I know it's dangerous?!" As soon as the words left his maw he regretted every second of it. He was often so diplomatic and gentle, taking any blow but never sending them back. His pelt radiated with the heat of embarrassment but his apology caught in his throat, held back by the crackling anxiety in his chest.
Maybe I am making the wrong decision. Quickly, he turned tail stiffly and stalked away. Even the wind wasn't able to sweep away the swirling thoughts in his skull now. Each step did release some tension from the toms muscles and he stopped by the camp entrance, feeling small as he stared over the moor he cherished so dearly. I will have to apologize... Galewhistle is just doing her best to care for everyone. His ears twitched in humiliation. I can't act this selfish, I'm a leader! They are relying on me! He could hear the cats beginning to wake and shuffled around camp, no doubt expecting the call to leave shortly. How could they travel safely over the mountains without solid leadership? He lifted his chin slowly and let out a long breath into the icy breeze, the cloud that formed in the air was whisked away in a jiffy. No matter how reasonable it was to stay longer for Vixenshine's sake he simply couldn't ignore the nagging he felt in his gut. It rose like a sickness in his chest. Staying any longer felt like it would only bring more harm.
[ jackdawstar is stressed :C methinks silentstar could offer some leader-y wisdom? also 100% i reckon when they start to leave and they go to the mountains they should look back and see the camp being destroyed. that would probably make everyone feel a bit better about leaving. ]
Fernheart - 🍃 Stagrunner/Thunderflash || ~Skyblaze~ HeathClan Camp
The warriors den had felt cramped during the night, however, the extra bodies and their consistent breathing had made it one of the warmest nights she'd had in a while. Blinking open her green eyes sleepily, Fernheart yawned wide and glanced to the tabby and white form of Stagrunner beside her. Beside him laid Thunderflash, another friend dear to her heart. After the hunt the evening before Fernheart and Stagrunner had managed to catch two rabbits, which would have been a whole-hearted victory if it weren't for the extra mouths to feed. She wasn't bitter, though. She'd had a mouthful. Fernheart pushed herself to her paws and slunk out of the den quietly. Her tortoiseshell fur fluffed against the chilled morning breeze and she glanced around the camp. Warriors were beginning to drift from their nest, Silentstar, Wolfstorm, and Galewhistle sat nearby the great rock while Jackdawstar sat by the entrance to the camp. We really are leaving today... The usually chirpy molly felt an icy shiver of anticipation ripple down her spine. She was afraid of the challenge that laid ahead.
"I just hope we all make it over the mountains okay..." she mumbled to herself, her words tight with emotion.
Rowanblaze - 🍃 Open || @ HeathClan Camp
The day had come. The buffeting harshness of the moorland breeze seemed to be the perfect send-off for the two clans, it tugged at his ginger pelt aggressively, as though telling him to get off these hills! This isn't your home anymore! Rowanblaze nosed at the scrapes left from last nights meal to no avail. No bone had any morsel to offer after having been cleaned by the starved cats from both clans. "I guess there won't be time to hunt," he murmured to himself as he rose his head, "We'll be leaving soon." At least, he assumed they would. He'd heard the tail-end of some commotion with the HeathClan leader but he knew he shouldn't pry.
He wondered if he should see how Honeyshade was doing after a restless night, but hesitated. He didn't want to burden the molly with his constant attention. It seemed so often he was trying to catch her recognition but she was so far above him. His ears twitched and a small sigh made his shoulders sag. We really have more important things to think about, he reasoned. He couldn't act like a lovesick tom when there were so many things that he could be doing to help instead.
"Your claws will fall off if you keep working them like that," Stonepelt's plain voice sounded as he came upon grey and white clanmate. His face was scowled somewhat against the consistent buffet of the wind that pushed on his short tabby pelt. "At least, that's what I've heard," he added with a nonchalant shrug. From the flatness of his tone it would be difficult to tell the tom was actually speaking sarcastically. Dryness tended to be his form of humour. Despite the tension that seemed to hang in the camp like a bad smell, the tom seemed rather relaxed, as though it were just another day around the camp. He settled beside the she-cat and sprawled on his side so he could send his tongue over his bony flanks in quick swipes. "Anyone would think something important is happening today." He added between licks.
Brooksong - 🌊 Open || @ HeathClan Camp
Brooksong stared from her makeshift nest out of the den. Beside her was Foxpounce who snored like a badger, and on her other side was Featherfall's large mottled frame curled close. From the crispness in the air she could tell the outside was cold and bitter, so she shuffled closer to Featherfall's frame to take in the warmth. She had felt strange curling up beside Foxpounce, not just because he was a HeathClan cat, but because no one else had wanted to lay near him after his spat the day before. Out of sympathy she'd rested beside him, but at her presence he'd merely snorted indignantly.
With a small sigh, Brooksong stayed where she lay, but her head was raised like a meerkat and her ears perked for any sound that they would be leaving.

(aether I'm excited for Gullfeather and Stonepelt to finally interact; I feel like their personalities together is very 'unstoppable force meets immovable object')
Gullfeather - BluffClan - Stonepelt The she-cat's thick pelt bristled, both from embarrassment at being called out for tearing up the ground in front of her as well as being startled at the tom's approach. Of course, she would never admit either to her clanmate and was glad she would be able to blame her prickling pelt on the wind if the gray warrior mentioned it. Gullfeather merely snorted in response to his teasing. Was it teasing? She really couldn't tell, but then again, she didn't care much either way and her response would have been the same regardless. Watching Stonepelt make himself comfortable beside her, she settled down into a relaxed crouch, curling her tail over her paws. At his final comment, the gray and white she-cat rolled her eyes, "Well if you haven't heard then I'm not going to be the one who tells you." Unlike Stonepelt, Gullfeather's tone was that of obvious sarcasm. She didn't have the diplomacy to hide her feelings, nor the tact to do so even if she desired it.

Silentstar Molly ; Leader ; 70 Moons
As she questioned Jackdawstar, she immediately knew she had hit a tender spot in the leader's mind. While he insisted on leaving, she could almost hear the doubts in his own mind. Yet, there was also something else there, something telling him it was time to go. She could feel it herself, though she wasn't as ready to accept the decision as the Heathclan leader seemed to be. While she was older than the tom, not by much, she knew she could learn some things from him. While she wanted to cling to the home that had always been hers, he was determined to move forwards. Silentstar's best bet was to join him and find her clan a better home, no matter what the cost was.
In Jackdawstar's hesitation to answer her, Wolfstorm had padded up to join them. She greeted her deputy without words, giving the dark gray tom a gentle flick of her tail. Moments after the tom had greeted them, Galewhistle followed suit. While Silentstar had hesitated in questioning the leader beside her, his medicine cat held his gaze with a look she had seen many medicine cat's use. One that only the sacred healers could use when addressing a leader. While she mimicked everyone's entire thoughts, her words seemed to spark a flame of frustration in the black tom. Surprise flashed in the silver and black spotted leader's eyes as Jackdawstar snapped at his medicine cat. She turned her head to watch as the tom stalked away, stiffer then a branch. She gave a soft sigh as he paused beside the camp entrance.
Shaking her head, she shared a glance with both Wolfstorm and then Galewhistle. "My apologies, Galewhistle. I do believe I caused him to snap. I had just been questioning him about Vixenshine." Dipping her head politely, she murmured softly. "Please do what you need to gather herbs and divide them out. And wake Birdscreech. He has had time to rest, he must help. You may use any of my warriors or apprentices to assist you." Turning to Wolfstorm, she flicked her tail, shaking her head. "Jackdawstar is wise. Something in his gut is insisting that we must leave. And we must do it soon. I trust his instincts. While I am hesitant myself, it is because I am having a hard time letting go of the home we have always known. But we can't stay any longer. We have no home left. And I can hear the twolegs and their monsters close. Who knows how long before they fall upon this camp. Could be today, could be days. We will do everything we can to assure everyone gets through this. Even if it means stopping and resting."
Getting to her paws, she started to pad towards the other leader. Stopping a few pawsteps from the Medicine cat and Deputy, she blinked warm tan eyes at them. "Wolfstorm, please wake the rest of our clanmates. And please check on the elders. This journey will be hardest for them. We will work as a team with Heathclan to insure our weakest members get through the mountains." With a quick nod of farewell, she slipped over to Jackdawstar. Once beside him, she sat down, staring straight ahead. She was silent for a moment, choosing her words carefully in her mind before she turned serious deep tan eyes on the black tom.
"Jackdawstar. I know you are stressed. I know you have so many tugging at you and doubting your decision. But you can't snap at your clanmates. Especially not your Medicine cat. Galewhistle is only doing the job that she was destined to do. And that job is to question you, especially when it comes to a weakened and injured clanmate. She has a duty. Just as you do." Pausing, she let her tail tip rest on his shoulder, her serious gaze becoming softer. While she was trying to share some wisdom, she wanted him to know that she meant nothing but kindness. "Our clans are going to depend greatly on us. They look to us. Look to you. This is a heavy decision. But this weight you are taking on your shoulders, you must remember the weight of this decision is shared with me as well. Anything that happens on this journey, will be on me as well. We are leading our clans from this danger, this disaster, together."
Once more, she turned her gaze, this time to look around at the waking warriors and apprentices. So many looked exhausted and frail, starved from many moons with lack of prey. She shook her head softly, before moving her tail under the toms chin and forcing him to look at their combined clans. "See our clanmates. Each and every one of them, no matter what they might feel about this personally, will follow us to the ends of the earth. It is none of their faults, and you must respect any of them for questioning us. For doubting us. They have never known anything other than this place. We are all scared." Touching her nose to his shoulder, she became stern again, her gaze flashing with a look of pure determination. "If you get too stressed. Feel too frustrated. You can unravel on me. But you must not lash out at any one of our clanmates. Not your clan, or mine. You understand me.?"

((gosh i love silentstar, what a leader))
— 🍃 — Honeyshade HealthClan || with Harestep Then came the dawn of a new day. Honeyshade was sitting by the entrance of the warrior’s den, staring at the sky as it brightened with the warmth of the rising sun. Nervous anticipation ran through her veins. She could barely sleep the night before, despite desperately trying to. Honeyshade had retired to her nest early, hoping to get a solid night’s rest in preparation for the weary journey that was sure to be ahead of her, but worries and fears kept stirring through her mind, sending such restlessness through her that she kept tossing and turning, waking up in the dead of night, unable to fall asleep for longer than what felt like minutes. It didn’t help that her belly felt like an empty cavern - her nerves grew so bad that she had to run to the dirt place to hurl.
After that, she gave up trying to sleep and just kept guard by the den, gaze darting over to the makeshift nests of the BluffClan warriors. The hunt the previous day had gone as expected. Streamfrost, though polite, was guarded, and kept quiet throughout the venture. They managed to bring back some scraps together, though. Rowanblaze had been a little more obvious than usual. Honeyshade’s suspicions about her fellow warrior’s feelings towards her were growing stronger, but she didn’t quite know what to do with those yet. She was keeping an eye on that interesting development, though. Maybe they’ll come in handy some day.
As the sun grew stronger, and the many cats crowded within the camp began to stir, Honeyshade finally stood up and gave her stiff muscles a stretch. Her tail felt numb with cold from sitting outside for so long. Shaking her pelt, Honeyshade slowly walked out into camp, noting the leaders and deputies already up and talking. Planning the trip, no doubt. The movement of someone shaking out their pelt caught her eye, and she turned towards Harestep, who was looking around camp.
Suddenly desiring company, Honeyshade walked over to him, waving her tail in greeting. “Morning,” she mewed. She looked down at the little bit of dew still clinging to Harestep’s front leg, and said with with some amusement and concern, “Did you fall asleep outside?”

STORMCHILL heathclan camp / open for interaction Stormchill had spent the remainder of that strange day trying to carry on as normal. After that morning's events, it had been a relief to step back into the familiar routine of patrolling, hunting, and coming back with empty paws. Keeping busy also kept him from getting entangled in his own thoughts. He tried not to dwell on his embarrassing outburst; he was normally far more controlled than that. The stress and the hunger was starting to get to him, but that was no excuse for acting out the way he had. He needed to stay calm and focused, or at least appear that way, for the rest of his Clan. His Clanmates knew he was not an overtly emotional cat, so if any of them had seen his reaction, they'd know how afraid he was.
He couldn't let that happen. HeathClan needed him.
Stormchill awoke from an uneasy sleep. He stood and arched his back in a long stretch, shaking the sleep from each leg in turn before padding out into the daylight. Unsurprisingly, almost everyone else was already up. He must not have been the only one who'd had a restless night.
Where's Ravencall? The dark grey tom had not seen his brother since early yesterday morning, before everything went to fox-dung. Stormchill had been assigned to the dawn patrol despite spending most of the previous day out hunting, so Ravencall had offered to take his place, against Stormchill's protests. Secretly, he'd been thankful for the extra sleep. But today, Ravencall was nowhere to be seen. We were busy yesterday, getting BluffClan settled and preparing for the journey; he must've come back to camp while I was out. I must've missed him. Stormchill tried to rationalize his worries. Maybe Ravencall went out again this morning to fetch more prey for the journey. Glancing around, Stormchill kept his expression carefully neutral to prevent any worry from showing on his face.
CLOUDPAW heathclan camp / with hornetpaw & other apprentices, open Cloudpaw came awake slowly. It was oppressively quiet in the apprentices' den, and the air was heavy with the alien scent of cats not from his own Clan. He struggled to open bleary eyes. His entire body felt as if it was weighed down by rocks, and his muscles ached from the exertion of his frantic escape yesterday. Once the adrenaline had taken its course, he had fallen asleep almost as soon as his head hit the scratchy moss of his makeshift nest. It hadn't been very comfortable, but still he'd slept like a log all through the night. Losing your home was exhausting.
He lifted his chin, peering over the edge of his nest. In the wan morning light he could see Morningpaw and Ashpaw still curled in their own nests, breathing deeply and evenly. Blizzardpaw was nearby, his familiar scent a comfort. He wasn't sure if his brother was awake yet, though. Across from him he could just make out the slumbering shapes of the rest of the apprentices. Cloudpaw pushed himself into an upright position, wincing as his sore muscles protested. He squinted around at the other cats. "Hornetpaw?" He whispered into the semi-darkness. "Are you awake yet?"
OWLFROST heathclan camp | open for interaction "Sleep well?" Owlfrost purred, glancing over at Brooksong with mirth glinting in his pale golden eyes. He knew, of course, that most of his Clanmates had likely been unable to sleep last night. He himself had gotten few winks. But outwardly, the pale bengal tom showed no signs of exhaustion. Indeed, he looked much the same as he always did: stunningly beautiful, complete with a mischievous half-smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
He rose gracefully to his feet and stepped gingerly out his makeshift nest. It was a rather sorry-looking thing, scraped together from bits of moss and moorland grass. It had been flattened in his sleep. He gave it a look that suggested he was personally disappointed in it, before turning his head and sweeping the other sleeping warriors in his honey-colored gaze. "Sleeping in? On such a momentous day? How dreadful." He sighed gustily. "There is much work to be done, I expect, and we have a long, long day ahead of us. 'Tis time we set forth!" He declared, striding out of the warriors' den with purpose.
Owlfrost took in a deep breath of the crisp, freezing air and exhaled forcefully. "Ah, adventure!" He announced to nobody in particular, his voice carrying. "Who knows what this morn will bring! Hopefully it shall be less deadly than yest." He eagerly glanced over his shoulder to see if anyone had followed him outside.

Tom ; Elder ; 150 Moons
Sleep had come easily to the elderly tom. He had fallen asleep almost immediately upon his arrival in the Heathclan camp. He had been woken briefly by his denmates to share a couple small mice together, and again to drink some water that the apprentices had brought them. It had been closer to dawn when the Heathclan medicine cat, Galewhistle had tended to his torn claw. While he had insisted that she save her herbs for the warriors, the medicine cat had been stern and refused to not treat him. He'd finally agreed, before pressing close to Beetleflight and falling back into a deep sleep.
Now, as dawn approached, the worn out elder was wide awake. His body throbbed from his awful escape from the twolegs. Sleep had caused his joints to stiffen. Opening blind eyes, he groaned softly, before moving his paws. While he had no ears, he could still hear slightly. Some moments better than others. Shifting in his nest, he forced himself to sit up, causing his body to creak and crack. A huff escaped his maw and he shook his head slightly. He could scent his friend beside him, as well as the two Heathclan elders.
"I would say it's safe to assume we are leaving soon.? I feel like I've been asleep for days." While the tom had been asleep during the announcement, the elders had informed him of the decision during their small meal the night before. As well as the unfortunate birth of Foxtumble and Vixenshine's kits. The apprentices had brought that news to them, sharing that the poor queen wasn't in the best shape. His own clanmate, Feathersoul, was feeding the little ones while the mother rested.

Feathersoul Molly ; Queen ; 35 Moons
The night had been long for the brown and white queen. She'd only dozed on and off for short periods of time. Each time she felt like she was starting to drift into a deeper sleep, she was sucked out of the darkness by panic. Panic that Vixenshine wouldn't survive through the night. Panic that her kits had wondered off. Panic that the three kits she was feeding weren't alive. Now, as dawn approached, she was just starting to drift off into sleep once more. Within heartbeats of the darkness taking over her, a panicked cry sounded from the nest in front of her. Vixenshine had woken and was attempting to struggle to her paws. Her back was to Feathersoul, so she couldn't see her three kits were laying at her belly.
"Please don't try to stand Vixenshine. You had a very long night." Her voice was soft and her eyes were full of sympathy for the exhausted queen. She herself, had a voice thick with exhaustion. "Foxtumble went to try and find you something to eat before we headed off. I have your kits. Your medicine cat asked me to care for them while you heal." She dipped her head to nose the three kits. Her own kits were sleeping as well, one of either side of the tiny bundles. "You have three healthy and strong kits, my dear. You should try and rest a little longer. We will be leaving soon. And this journey won't be easy for you. I will help you with your kits, the entire way." ❖ [Foxtumble(Me) Vixenshine(~Skyblaze~ )] ❖ [ Adventure Time! ] ❖ [Bluffclan]•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅• Tinykit Tom ; Kit ; 1 Moons
Tinykit had been awake until late in the night. His excitement at the birth of new kits, showing how oblivious the little kit was to the horrible timing of the whole thing, as well as the dangers for the weakened mother. Throughout the night, the mini version of Feathersoul had questioned her about the family. It was well after the sun had fell, that her son had curled up near the little orange molly that Feathersoul nursed and drifted asleep. Now, he stirred slightly as his mother woke once more and started talking to Vixenshine. Yet, all the little tom did, was bury his nose deeper into his mothers stomach. ❖ [ With Family. ] ❖ [ Adventure Time! ] ❖ [Bluffclan] •❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•
Rushingfire Tom ; Senior Warrior ; 68 Moons
After his little fight with the Heathclan warrior, Foxpounce, Rushingfire had been scolded by his leader for acting so disrespectful in the other clans camp. He'd simply sat there with flattened ears as she had spoken to him about his behavior. An embarrassment to be called out in front of, not only his own clan, but his rivals as well. After that, he'd gone off with a patrol consisting of Spiderwatcher and her apprentice Wildpaw to do some hunting. A punishment in his eyes, as his leader stated that he better learn to work with the other clan.
While Spiderwatcher had been kind, Rushingfire had felt a burning rage at being forced to work with the Heathclan cats. His desire for Silentstar to vanish, only grew with the days. She was weak in his eyes, and nothing could change his mind. Working with the other clan, waiting so long to leave, scolding warriors for bickering after so many seasons of rivalry. It was mouse-brained and foolish of her, to think he would change his ways.
Now, the blazing orange maine coon tom sat up, grooming his long fur. His blazing orange eyes, a color that only seemed to appear in the dawns of each day, was watching Brooksong from where she moved beside Foxpounce. The scowl on his face grew, until his lips drew back in a snarl. How dare the little brown tabby choose to sleep beside a Heathclan tom. Especially the one that attacked him. While he had started the fight by swatting at Foxpounce, it was the ginger and white tabby that had launched at him and dug claws into his flank. His sides still stung from where claws had scraped his skin. While Foxpounce had gotten him, Rushingfire had gave him a nice bite to the shoulder before the two were torn apart and forced in separate ways.

Mysticpaw Tom ; Apprentice ; 8 Moons
Waking up in a makeshift nest outside of the apprentices den, Mysticpaw lifted his head and blinked the sleep from his tan eyes. As usual, an angry look formed on the toms face, eyes narrowed slightly. While he wasn't even a little agitated, it was a look that had formed on the toms face since the day he was born. A chill had formed over his body, and he fluffed up his long white fur. He'd given up his nest in the apprentices den for the Bluffclan apprentices, Ashpaw and Morningpaw to take over. They'd seemed so scared and exhausted after their journey. Even Moonpaw and Swiftpaw had given their nests up for Seapaw and her sister Falconpaw, as well as Cloudpaw and Blizzardpaw. Though, Mysticpaw couldn't help but notice that the white Bluffclan tom had choosen to sleep outside with him and his denmates, sticking closest to Swiftpaw.
After a moment of looking around, the pure white tom got to his paws and stretched out each of his legs. His gaze traveled to the Warrior's den where his mentor had retired to the night before. They'd spent much of the afternoon trying to find any prey for their clanmates and guests. Yet, to no surprise, the many groups that had gone out, had only found enough for everyone to take a few mouthfuls. The queens and elders were given the most, as it should be.
As he watched the clearing, he noticed Jackdawstar and Silentstar sitting at the camp entrance. Would they be leaving soon.? Did they have time for one more hunt.? Should he wake his mentor.? A sigh fell from his maw and he padded softly to the warriors den. Peaking his head into the crowded den, the apprentice noticed Mossystream in the back of the den. There was no way for her to leave, with so many in the way. Retreating quietly, he sat outside the den and groomed his fur silently, waiting for Mossystream. They would be part of the group that guided the elders along. ❖ [Open-Mentions Mossystream(Ember34 ] ❖ [ Adventure Time! ] ❖ [Heathclan]

Graypebble Molly ; Elder ; 76 Moons
"Starclan knows, I can't wait to be somewhere where I can finally feel full." The grumbling snip came from Graypebble, who was already sitting up in her nest. She was attempting to groom her fur, struggling to reach her back and sides. Her body had it's normal aches and pains, but she forced herself to push the pain away, knowing the Bluffclan elders probably felt far worse than her. While they had been fed the night before, her belly hadn't been satisfied by the small mouthfuls she had received.
Beside her was her denmate, and she nosed the white and dark tabby tom. Beside him, Shadedspeck had stirred and was waking beside Beetleflight. The tom had slept most of the night, besides moments to eat and drink. He was clearly worn out. Graypebble herself had slept part of the night, but woken far before dawn. She'd chosen to simply press closer to Sagetail and keep watch over the three toms resting in the elders den with her. "I do believe we will be leaving soon, Shadedspeck. Dawn has started to approach. The call will come soon."

Eaglecry Tom ; Warrior ; 20 Moons
Eaglecry had taken watch at the camp entrance partway through the night. Spiderwatcher had been the one he'd relieved, so the black molly could snatch a few hours of sleep before the journey began. While she had slept a little, he had watched her head out of camp with Foxpounce before the light of dawn had even started to appear. Now, the rest of the clans was starting to stir. Near him, Jackdawstar and Silentstar had appeared and were talking together. His leader looked upset, while the Bluffclan leader looked so kind and gentle. His curious nature made his ears perk up to try and hear their conversation, yet he was distracted has the Bluffclan warrior, Shadepelt padded towards the entrance.
Dipping his head in a quick greeting, Eaglecry got to his paws and padded up to the black tom. His one good eye glowed in the dawn light, a sharp orange. "Hello. Shadepelt, is it.? I'm assuming we are heading out very soon. Do you want to run out really quick and see if we can scavenge anymore prey up.?" While the clans had managed to scrap enough food together for everyone to have a few mouthfuls, it was no where near enough to satisfy anyone. While he offered to go out for a quick hunt, he knew the prey they caught would go straight to the elders. "Spiderwatcher and Foxtumble went out to find something for the queens. So we can try and get something for the elders."
❖ [ Shadepelt(fire ) ] ❖ [ Adventure Time! ] ❖ [Heathclan] •❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•
Foxtumble Tom ; Warrior ; 28 Moons
Foxtumble had spent the entire night watching over his mate. Sleep was not granted to him, not even a moment of rest. He had simply stayed by her side, grooming her fur and offering her water everytime she woke. Not once, had the queen recognized him or asked about their kits. Worry had consumed the Heathclan tom for most of the night. Between his mate and checking on his kits at Feathersoul's stomach, he'd been busy most of the night.
It wasn't until dawn was a little ways away, that Spiderwatcher had poked her head into the nursery and called him to come on a small hunt with him. Most likely to distract his mind and give him a moment to think and breathe. It gave him something important to do, so he wasn't fretting any longer. Now, he and the black molly pushed their way back into the camp. While others were awake, including the leaders, he ignored everyone and headed around the many cats around the clearing. His gaze locked on the nursery, a rabbit in his jaws. It was the thickest rabbit that anyone had seen in awhile.
Pushing his way into the nursery, he almost dropped the rabbit at the sight of his weakened mate, awake and frantic. Feathersoul was speaking to her as he padded in. Slipping up to her, he set the rabbit at her paws. "I'm here, My love. I went out to get you something to eat. This is for you and Feathersoul. As well as Tinykit and Lynxkit. It's the plumpest rabbit I've seen in moons!"
❖ [Vixenshine(~Skyblaze~ )] ❖ [ Adventure Time!] ❖ [Heathclan]•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅• Swiftpaw Molly ; Apprentice ; 10 Moons
Swiftpaw woke with a start as a cold breeze hit her fur. She jumped to her paws, ears twitching with annoyance. While she had given her nest up to the Bluffclan apprentices, a grumble overtook her. "Why does it have to be so Star forsaken cold." She meant no harm in her grumbling, it was no ones fault. The leaf-bare wind was never a favorite to her.
Sitting down, she gave herself a quick grooming, before looking around for her mentor. She spotted the sandy ginger tom not far away. He was looking around the clearing. Getting back to her paws, she slipped up to the tom and settled down beside him. "Good morning, Rowanblaze. Did you rest at all.?" While she had slept, she'd woken many times to the chill that had blown over the camp. Now she was anxious about the clans leaving, knowing they were helping with the protection of the queens and their kits. Her sister on the other hand, had been assigned with her mentor to help the medicine cats. It was a job that her sister had almost danced with joy about. Swiftpaw couldn't help but hope that the groups leading the elders, queens and medicine cats, would all stick close together. The thought of traveling, without being near her sister, scared her even more. ❖ [ Rowanblaze(aether ) ] ❖ [ Adventure Time! ] ❖ [Heathclan]

Harestep - HeathClan - Honeyshade (willowflower)
The golden brown tom noticed the she-cat approaching him before she spoke, and he dipped his head respectfully in greeting as she did so. "Good morning, Honeyshade." He meowed, wincing slightly as he continued stretching out his legs. "Ah," He purred, following her gaze down to his still dew-covered forepaws. "Yes, I seem to have fallen asleep out here last night." He flicked his tail, dismissing it, "A wasted opportunity for one last sleep in our home, hmm?" His voice grew softer with his comment. Initially, he had meant to make fun of himself for waiting outside, but the realization hit him that he really had missed out on the last night he could've spent in his own nest. Blinking the momentary sorrow out of his eyes, he shook his head. Ever since he had found out they were leaving, camp hadn't felt quite like home. Deciding he had spent enough time feeling sorry for himself he turned his yellow eyes to Honeyshade, "Did you rest well?" He inquired, beginning to lick the dew off his paws.

Mossystream-Heathclan-Mysticpaw( ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥) mentioned Mossystream noticed Mysticpaw poking his head in. She gave another look around herself. She debated on just trying to leave and take the risk of waking the other cats. Rising from her nest she looked around to see if there was any holes among the cats she could try and use to make her way through the crowded den. She didn't see many, and most of the ones she did where to small to be of use. A sigh slipped from the she cat, wishing she had chosen a spot near the entrance of the den.
