NAME RATER RULES && EXPECTATIONS Let's keep this intro simple: You give me a list of names, I'll rate them. I'll give reasons if you ask for them!(I give reasons when I feel like it or if you ask politely/are a regular) - If you want to post more traditional names (think, first two series; lots of -pelt, -fur, -fang, -claw ect) and have me rate off of that more limited pool of prefix-suffix, let me know somewhere in the list so I don't dock too many points for 'bland'. - I will rate Tribe and loner names too! - no more than 10 names per post. Just come back after they are rated for the next set!! My muse for rating is rather sporadic, so it might be a little bit if I'm not in the right headspace~ I don't want to rate names poorly because I'm in a bad mood that day. - it gives you a notif when I quote to rate, you'll be pinged again if a name gets on the HoF. Rating scale 0-1 = This is a bad name 2-3 = I don't like this 4-5 = average, but probably not my taste 6-7 = average, but is my taste! 8-9 = I like this! 10 = I would use this name for an OC any name that gets a 10 is put in hall of fame good luck. HOF

Browntalon 6/10 Brown- is really nostalgic for me for obvious reasons
Claystripe 7/10 I love Clay- <3 a very solid name
Loudsky 5/10 I don't usually like Loud- but -sky makes it flow pretty well, though I don't get a sense of the cat from this name yes it's been over a year okay, idk where I poofed off to then probably covid tbh |

Smokebeam 2/10 -beam here is... not great Dewspring 5/10 average, spring is very nice sometimes tho Leapordshade 5/10 it's something I'd use as a filler character Robinskip 6/10 I do like -skip, but maybe not here? Cricketshine 8/10 bugs <3 Amberfall 8/10 very graceful Emberflight 9/10 I think this is probably one of the better Ember- combos Ripplefern 7/10 points for using Ripple- and -fern I love those two underused but the combo is meh to me Reasons please. Hi there! I've definitely moved away from traditional names as the years go by. Reasons too please! Sunhawk 10/10 I love -hawk suffixes and while it doesn't hit often, Sun- is a good pairing for it! Briarfrost 8/10 A fine name, flows well. Shadowdust 6/10 Dust is creative, but I don't think it fits here. Lilymeadow 6/10 Pretty, but a little clunky Ivyshade 7/10 It's a solid name, but very overused imo Pondshimmer 5/10 Fine, but I personally don't like the flow. we're just gonna ignore the fact that I missed this for a few months mk

Cleargaze 6/10 I can't put my finger on it but this name feels both good and meh at the same time for me? Shadowrunner 3/10 too literal. too edgy. Dawnskip 7/10 Skip is cute and it works well here. Tumblefire 5/10 I love tumble- but fire just. doesn't work with it. Birdshadow 6/10 Bird is so hard to match. I think shadow is an alright fit for it, but I don't think the image shift fits from apprentice-warrior if that makes sense? |

Brightmew 2/10 No. Rosedapple 6/10 Simple, elegant, a good background name Embergaze 10/10 I'm a sucker for -gaze and it flows really well with Ember- <3 Silvertide 7/10 I don't think I've ever seen -tide as a suffix before! Salmonleap 7/10 We need more fish names!! I think -leap might be a little too cliched tho. Wolfstride 9/10 I actually really like this one, it has good flow and good image Cinderfall 8/10 One of the better Cinder- matches Kiwifeather 6/10 A new take, but still a bird + feather Heyyyyy. I always love your names this isn't fair! |

Honeyglow 10/10 I love it <333 Mossfeather 7/10 very solid. A good sibling namedrop. Turtlepool 6/10 Turtle- is hard; this one is a fine match but not outstanding. Wishfire 2/10 This is a 2013 self-insert OC Gazecrystal 1/10 Now Crystalgaze I can get behind, but verbs first really need a good match or they just suck. Honeyburr 5/10 Creative, but not with Honey. It's similar enough to -fur that it should fit better? But it doesn't?? Doewatcher 4/10 Just. Meh. -watcher is hard and it doesn't fit here. Jayrose 9/10 I'm pretty sure I used this in a fic back in 2015. I still love it~ Blossomsong 10/10 I'm a sucker for this name it's so sweet. Cloverblossom 9/!0 I'm surprised this fits so well! This one is solid but nothing special. Reedwillow 5/10 I think object endings can't have object prefixes. Like Redwillow is cool Dewshine 6/10 Dew is cool, I think this pair is a bit overused tho |

Paintedthunder 4/10 I like both of these individually, but not together. I don't think I've ever seen Painted- before it's really cool! Let’s try this again :) (reasons) Ripplefire 4/10 It would be fine but the flow is funky and the juxtaposition doesn't work for the name. Silverfrost 6/10 Average! Fallenspirit 4/10 It sounds nice, but Fallenkit is sad Mistblossom 10/10 I love this!! Flamespeck 7/10 Solid, nothing good or bad. Silentsnow 5/10 I can see myself using this and it's not really a complement if that makes sense? Darkflame 8/10 Spooky I love them. Frostbriar 9/10 I totally underuse -briar it is so pretty and it works brilliantly here. Paleflower 8/10 You saw that I loved pale- </3 It's a nice one for sure! |
