Cats of Dawnclan welcome anyone who wishes to join, which brings a variety of characteristics. They are best known for their thick furred coats, to help against the heavy rain and to keep them dry from swimming, they have strongly built limbs they inherited from their ancestors to climb trees, jump long distances, and swim in rushing waters. Cats of Dawnclan mostly eat forest prey such as squirrels, vole's, bird and fish all found in the lush forest and vast river that consists of their territory.
Not too long ago, a battle against all odds brings a clan, Skyclan; near close to extinction. From this battle some chose to stay in the gorge and some chose to leave, our new leader who was once known as Nightglow chose to leave and set out to find a new home. After traveling east for some time with the guiding paws of starclan, they came across what we now call our home. With those who chose to find a new home disagreeing with their previous leader, they all agreed to be reborn from the darkness and into a new dawn; Thus Dawnclan was born.
- Forum rules - Please follow all forum rules.
- Characteristic's - Keep cats as realistic as you can, which means no wings, purple fur, pink eyes etc, please avoid mary-sues.
- Activity & literacy - Please keep in mind that this is a semi-advanced roleplay and I would like to keep this rp 15+. please refrain from using one liners. I do expect a reply to be at least 5 sentences minimum with proper grammar and punctuation.I will be giving an activity limit of 3 weeks, if you are inactive for 3 weeks you will be removed.
- Roleplay - please no god-modding or powerplay. Also please no kit-stealing, or spam.
- Joining - there will be a character limit of 8 cats, as this clan was on the brink of extinction. Although you must join with 2 cats at minimum, please keep genders even, I ask for no motherless kits and if you're going to join with a queen please find them a mate; unless the mate is dead. If so please leave an explanation of how they died in your history part of the forums. So i know you have read the rules please put the passcode hidden somewhere on the main page in the other part of your joining form.

Dawnclan makes their home in the lush forests of Bend Oregon, cat's here are thick furred and well equipped to handle the heavy rain season. Their territory consists of many different types of trees, mostly pine and maple trees. The only field with wide open sky's sits in the center with a rushing river and thunderpath going straight through the middle of the territory.
- Dawnwatcher's rock - situated directly in the middle of their territory on the river bank, Dawnwatcher's rock over looks the river and thunderpath as well as the forest that surrounds their territory; It is made up of three very large boulders.
- Training grounds - On the east side of the territory is a patch of land not inhabited by anything aside from soft dirt, a large willow tree rest at it's edge this is where warrior sit as their apprentices train.
- Duck Pond - located on the northwest side is a large pond nestled in the forest, here you can find a wide variety of prey.
- Twoleg Viewpoint - Just off the thunderpath on the southeast side is a twoleg viewing point, although twolegs only come her when the weather is nice and in Newleaf and Greenleaf.
- The Thunderpath - the thunderpath is located just west and south of the camp, a long bridge sit over the river.
- Abandon statue - just northwest of camp, is a abandon statue hidden deep in the woods. Cats use this as a burial site for oracles and as a place to leave their offerings to Starclan.
- The Moonpool - located just on the other side of the thunderpath nestled in some trees, is a clearing with a crystal clear pool; this is where cats talk to star clan.
Dawnclan's camp is located on the north side of the field, nestled under the only willow tree in the field, tall thick grass create the walls of camp. The leaders den is made in a hollowed out part of the tree at the bottom, the entrance is covered with ferns and lichen and it is big enough to fit 3 cats in there. As most den's except the leader's are made up under the tall thick bushes and undergrowth that make up the clearing, All den's are entwined with briar for protection and empty spaces are filled with moss and mud to keep out the cold, the only sunlight peaks through the top of the thick bushes; the fresh kill pile is located in the center of camp.
- Every full moon, instead of a gathering the cats of Dawnclan hold a celebration, to give thanks to their ancestors for giving them a second chance in life and to show their gratitude for the fruitful land starclan had led them too. This celebration consists of every member giving starclan an offering at the abandon statue, followed by a simple prayer of prosperity; they can offer a moonflower or prey. After they have given their offerings to starclan, they have a feast.
- Very much like the Vigil's they hold for death, the cat's of Dawnclan will also hold a celebration day for any new life that is born into their clan, as it is a sign of their growing strength. The queen may receive gifts to put in or under her nest to induce good outcomes, such as,
- lavender, Chamomile flowers, Dandelion's, Rose petal's.
- Ivy, Mint, Mugwort, thyme, Sage.
- To avoid the poor decision making of their pervious leader, they have created a group of 4 cats called The Oracles very much like a council they help the leader make difficult decisions for the clans, as well as receive and speak with Starclan. Once an Oracle dies, the next member must be chosen before the next nightfall and is chosen by elders, the group themselves and the leader; Oracles are buried at the Abandon statue. Once a new oracle is chosen they are to head to the Moonpool to receive a blessing from starclan. A new Dawn.
- To add extra strength and eyes, the have carried over the position of Skywatcher, but have renamed it Dawnwatcher, There are 2 Dawnwatchers, who switch off once at sunrise and once at Moonrise.

Minor - A small case of whitecough, maybe the river start's to flood leaving the Dawnwatcher's without a place to watch over the territory.
- This plot is currently open to everyone.
Major - Because only so few cats decided to leave skyclan, they have resorted to taking in Rouge's, loner's and Kittypet's. But in doing so are they left in danger, how will they come to trust the new comer's. The original cats of skyclan are weary of the new comer's until they can prove their worth but do the new comer's see something else, maybe weakness. As they take in others to strength their numbers a darkness lurks in the shadow's who act's loyal but are they really.

She gets her name from her vibrant coat which resembles a burnt piece of wood that still has embers on it; which isn't exactly spotted. Instead her bright ginger color seamlessly blends with her satin black base coat, she has short soft fur with a single white patch on her chest and her left paw. She is on the smaller side, with pointed ears and bright gold eyes. Nightstar has a great sense of intuition and always trusts her gut, which in turn makes her great at making decisions. She is thoughtful and compassionate and always thinks about what she says carefully, as she can be a bit blunt at times. Although she had a side to her that rarely anyone see that's quite daring, charming and wild.

A thick-furred and long-haired handsome white tom save for his silver tail. He has piercing gray-blue eyes. Until you get to know this tom you'll find him to be dismissive and cold. He doesn't trust too easily but he carries a sense of duty, and is always contributing to the clan how he can. At his core he is incredibly kind, but the tom finds life easier when he doesn't put too much emotion into his surroundings and relationships. The only cat he willfully follows is Nightstar after what happened in SkyClan.

Stormwind is a large tom with yellow eyes and a thick, somewhat unruly coat of pitch black fur. His easygoing, go-with-the-flow attitude makes him compatible with most cats except that he generally keeps to himself, to the point of being misperceived as aloof, though he is far from cold. Though this tom seems outwardly apathetic to most matters - even important issues don't seem to faze him, like the recent SkyClan schism - he is never remiss in his duties and he cares deeply about those he loves. A great listener but a poor conversationalist, he is surprisingly observant and perceptive of others.

In fact, he is very clingy to those who he considers close to him. This includes his mate Eveningcloud, who is most likely the only cat he is very chatty with.

He has a bit of wisdom and is great at coming up with strategies, which usually puts him at the head of battle plans or patrols; although he can be quite conceited in his strength.

She has spent her whole life believing it is her duty to do what is right for the clan, and as such, is very committed to the ideals of right and wrong. However, she struggles with seeing gray areas, and often will not compromise on these ideals even in those gray areas.

Birchfrost is a thick-furred white tom with black markings all over his body, including spots on his flank and an entirely black tail. He is built fairly muscular as it is, but the extra fur makes him seem larger. Birchfrost is a friendly and good-humored tom, always looking for good conversation and company. While he can be serious when the situation calls for it, he often has trouble judging when the situation calls for it, and can come across very badly when he seems to take things too lightly or with not enough solemnity.

She is optimistic and adventurous which can sometimes lead her to trouble. Once she puts her mind to something it can be very hard to sway her. As unfortunate as it is for her and as much as she may try to avoid it, she is always prone to clumsiness one way or another.

Her base coat is a creamish white, dark contrasting brown stripes cover her body in defined stripes. Her fur isn't exactly long either except for her huge tail that sweeps out like a feather and just below her chin. Her large tail makes her look larger than she actually is, hence her dainty paws and delicate features such as her honey gold eyes. Honeypaw can be sweet or sassy and you never know which mood you'll catch her in, in general she is a pretty confident she cat who is quite courageous. Although don't make her angry or betray her as she holds deep grudges.

This fluffy snow white she cat get her name from her appearance which heavily resembles a cloud, except with soft grey markings; that aren't quite tabby like. Showing up mostly on her face, along her back, paws, behind her ears and on her tail. Her fur get's fluffier around her neck and her tail feathers out, her eyes are of a pale pale blue. Eveningcloud is quite the warmhearted and supportive she cat, who shows her enthusiasm quite readily. Who is level-headed but she can also be a real worry-wart sometimes, always asking questions.

Description/Personality: A thick-furred and long-haired handsome white tom save for his silver tail. He has piercing gray-blue eyes. Until you get to know this tom you'll find him to be dismissive and cold. He doesn't trust too easily but he carries a sense of duty, and is always contributing to the clan how he can. At his core he is incredibly kind, but the tom finds life easier when he doesn't put too much emotion into his surroundings and relationships. The only cat he willfully follows is Nightstar after what happened in SkyClan.

History: Born and raised SkyClan. this tom carried a great sense of loyalty to the clan. However after the battle that left SkyClan in pieces, Snowwatcher could no longer convince himself that SkyClan's old leader was someone to believe in and someone worth following. So when Nightglow set off to start anew, the tom decided to join the group that she rallied up. Since the creation of DawnClan, he feels a sense of duty to DawnClan and does wish for its success as a born clan cat and follower of the warrior code, and he is not afraid to intervene if he should believe that DawnClan is headed down the wrong path. After the dissolution of SkyClan, Snowwatcher has become much more reserved and reticent.

Description/Personality: A thin but fluffy black she-cat with brown fur tips. She has lime green eyes and a small white splash on her chest. Ravenpaw is a bit timid at first meeting but warms quickly. She is optimistic and adventurous which can sometimes lead her to trouble. Once she puts her mind to something it can be very hard to sway her. As unfortunate as it is for her and as much as she may try to avoid it, she is always prone to clumsiness one way or another.

History: Raven was once a kittypet that was allowed outside her twoleg den to roam as she pleased. However because of her young age and adventurous spirit, she eventually strayed too far from home and ended up lost. She was left to her own devices for a moon before she discovered DawnClan. Who took her in with consideration for her age. She has since taken up warrior training.

Clovernose is a slim she-cat with grey fur and darker tabby markings. Her entire underbelly is white, stretching down her her legs and up her chest to her muzzle and forehead. She has spent her whole life believing it is her duty to do what is right for the clan, and as such, is very committed to the ideals of right and wrong. However, she struggles with seeing gray areas, and often will not compromise on these ideals even in those gray areas.

Clovernose was born in the clan, and saw the problems brewing in Skyclan for a long time. When the clan split, Clovernose was almost torn in two trying to rectify what she thought was the right decision versus her loyalty to what Skyclan was and was supposed to be. In the end, she made a very difficult decision to head to Dawnclan, knowing that she may never any of her old clanmates again. The decision was greatly worsened by the knowledge that she would be leaving behind her mother and sister to do so. However, she greatly admires Nightstar for being willing to take the stand and lead the new Dawnclan cats out of Skyclan. Gingerpaw is a smaller ginger tabby with white fur on his chest, paws, and muzzle. Because of his smaller size, he can be rather nimble, yet somehow clumsy at the same time. This is often because, while gingerpaw is very intelligent, he often moves or acts without thinking. While he is warm and open, he can also be overly trusting.

Gingerpaw is not clan-born. he has been here for half his life at this point, and at one point will likely no longer be able to remember life much life before dawnclan. Gingerpaw was brought here with his mother when he was only about four moons old. She had been a loner before coming to dawnclan, and had mated with another cat she hadn't known well. This had lead to Gingerpaw's birth, and as soon as he was born, she began having what she described as gut feelings. There were no obvious signs or messages, but there was a feeling somewhere within her that she had a place to be. More importantly, she would keep to herself, Gingerpaw had a place to be. These feelings led her to Dawnclan, and while she was initially hesitant, she joined the clan.

Rowanstep is a brown tabby she-cat with white fur on her chest, belly, and legs. Her two hind legs are completely white, as are her front paws. Rowanstep is prone to caring very hard, especially for younger cats like her son, and is very good with emotions in general. However, her past was not always kind to her, and she sometimes struggles not only to trust, but to step forward or put herself out there.

Rowan was a loner who had just given birth before joining the clan. While she might have been considered a young mother among the clan, expectations and normalcy are much different outside of it. Shortly after giving birth, she began to get these deep gut feelings that there was somewhere she needed to be, somewhere that her son needed to be. Rowan, who trusted her gut as the thing that had kept her alive and healthy for the previous twenty or so moons, listened to this and found herself at Dawnclan. While she was hesitant, as Rowan did not trust easily, she listened to her gut. After all, it was a safer place to raise her son, a place that would make sure he was fed when she couldn't, a community to raise him in. She took the suffix -step to fit into the clan more, but she often feels out of place and uncomfortable among the rest of the clan.

Birchfrost is a thick-furred white tom with black markings all over his body, including spots on his flank and an entirely black tail. He is built fairly muscular as it is, but the extra fur makes him seem larger. Birchfrost is a friendly and good-humored tom, always looking for good conversation and company. While he can be serious when the situation calls for it, he often has trouble judging when the situation calls for it, and can come across very badly when he seems to take things too lightly or with not enough solemnity.

Birchfrost is clan-born. When the clans split from one another, he decided to follow Nightstar to find Dawnclan. While he was sad to see what his clan had become, he knew their time there should be over. Skyclan's descent had cost both of his parents their lives, and he had no desire to stay there. Instead, he would have much rather followed Nightstar and the rest of the new Dawnclan cats into what would, at least, be an adventure.

{ duck they look good to me, although there is one more thing I need from you before I can add them. Gingerpaw can totally be med cat apprentice ^^ nimble before I can add your kitties there are a few problems with your forms, I will need you to re-read the rules; as you're descriptions aren't quite long enough. I also don't mean to be nitpicky but the sentence structuring in your forms is a bit clunky, I do apologize for asking but could you please revise them? Would you also be able to change Coldclaw's character traits into single words, like what you have for Lavendermoon? I will also mention that you can only have one high position, as medicine cat and deputy are both considered to be high positions, on that note. While you can apply to be in the running for deputy, the deputy will be chosen through role-play. I also noticed you stated that Coldclaw had a mate and kits but died, could you please elaborate a bit more on how they died. Oh I did also want to mention that you didn't post any images for you kitty, I'd be more than happy to help you find images for them as well. Lastly what I need from you is the passcode hidden somewhere on this page. |

Sorry this took so long! 🎃❅❖.Şp໐໐kฯຟiຖ໓.❖❅🎃 sorry this took for long! } Nightstar - Camp - Morning The gold dappled she cat laid in her nest of moss and soft feathers, the bright sun of leaf-fall peaking through the ferns that made the entrance to her den. She lifted her head having slept soundly for the first time in quite a while, she felt refreshed. Yawning her stretched out her stiff front limbs, her toes spreading out as she did. The gold and black she cat sat up, her gaze out of focus and she tried to wake up, but leaving her nest was turning out be a bit hard. Come girl, it's time to get up. She thought as she reluctantly rose, stretching forward as she stepped from her nest. The ferns parted as she emerged, only taking a few steps before sitting down. The air was crisp and the sun bright as leaves dances around her, she fluffed up her fur and wrapped her tail around her to brace against the chilly breeze that swayed the willow tree branches. Yawning again she then blinked away her sleepiness that seemed to linger, even though it was cold she felt fuzzy and warm at the sensation of being in a new place where she knew she didn't have to worry if her loved ones were getting enough food. Her thought's wavered to that of her mother, who decided to stay behind for who knows what reason; she sighed and pushed the thought away as the only family she needed was right here. Name - @tag Eveningcloud - Camp - Mid-day The fluffy white she cat had been up since dawn, the kit's in her belly had decided to keep her awake with their kicking of paws. Her tummy growled as a yawn escaped her, I guess we're hungry she thought as she struggled to her paws, which seemed to become harder and harder with every growing day. She emerged from the nursery, and waddled towards the fresh kill pile which was in the middle of camp, once reaching the fresh kill pile she let her hind side drop and she was breathing slightly labored. She looked over the pile, What should we have today my lovelies? She asked herself and her kits, under a mountain oh forest prey she spotted the glinting skin of a fish. She licked her lips and pulled it out by it's tail, the savory fishy scent making her mouth water. She waddled back towards the nursery, she laid her fish down in front of the nursery as she got herself settled. Taking her first bite, the ache in her stomach seemed to wash away with the sweet taste of food. Name- @tag Rainshade - Camp - Morning The large bluish grey tom lazily laid in his nest, shutting his eyes tighter as he started to hear rustling in the warrior's den. He shifted and laid his tail across his face, he wanted to stay in his cozy bed a bit longer. Not ready to face the day, out of no where a tail slapped him in the face. Raising his head groggily he looked around for the culprit, but they had already exited the den. He grumbled and laid his head back down, digging his nose deeper into the nest. But the large tom wasn't sure if he would be able to go back to sleep now, he reluctantly sighed and lifted his head. Blinking as the soft sunlight filtered through the top of the den, he yawned but didn't move determined to stay in his nest a bit longer. Name- @tag Littleleaf - Camp - Morning On his way out of the den, he accidentally slapped Rainshade in the face with his tail. Once outside the den he giggled and the proceeded to walk over to the willow tree sitting just on the outside of the swaying branches, waiting for the leader to give out morning patrols. There was no deputy at this moment in time and he pondered who would be taking up that position as he begun to groom his white and black fur. As it stuck out in all directions, he raised a paw lapping at it and then running it over his black and white head. He was grooming his side when his tummy let out a loud rumble. Glancing towards the fresh-kill pile with his tongue sticking out, Maybe I'll get some food before the patrols... He thought blinking, Nah I'll just wait until after patrols. Name- @tag |
