NimbleCloud / camp clearing / open
NimbleCloud padded out of the warriors den, her fur matted with spikey plants from her hunt the day before. She grunted and winced when they dug deeper into her skin, and she pulled at one on her chest with her teeth. Ripping hair out in the process she gave a yowl, her eyes welling up with tears. That would be enough for now. At least she had caught that rabbit she had been chasing, she almost chased it to the clan border and back! She looked down at her paws, hoping no one would look at her. She curled up, defeated. There were more on her backside and stomach, as well as her tail. She nipped at them, making very little progress at the sheer volume of thistles. She narrowed her eyes, frustration welling up in her pelt.
She sat up, looking around the camp clearing. Many cats were up, but none came up to her. She wondered where her son, Hickorypaw was. Perhaps he was training with his mentor. She had hoped to mentor a young cat, but so far she hadn’t had any apprentices. She wondered if she might take it up with the leader, suggest herself for the next batch of apprentices. And maybe Hickorypaw could help her get all the thistles out of her pelt. She saw his brown tabby pelt stride out of the apprentice den, making his way towards a puddle of clear water from the recent rainfall. He stopped to take a few laps , then looked around and made eye contact with her. His eyes narrowed and he padded over.
“Still haven’t gotten those all out I see. I don’t think I can help you any more, I already took out 10 yesterday, besides there isn’t much left.”
Nimblecloud laughed, her face softening. “Yeah I think I’m pretty much done taking them out. It hurts too much .”

((aah, sorry for not responding, things got super hectic and then i just got too tired to send people responses. I should be back on track though!))
Kitty | Camp | w/ Nimblecloud and Hickorypaw (nimble)
While Kitty was busy brooding about her very edgy past, she noticed Nimblecloud and Hickorypaw chatting with each other. While she had stayed in Dawnclan, she hadn’t talked to the two cats so she didn’t really have much of an opinion or insight on the two cats. Perhaps she could use this opportunity to initiate a conversation with the pair and learn more about them. Plus, Kitty hadn’t talked to anyone ever since she had awoken today so of course she was feeling a bit lonely. Grabbing her prey, which was a rather large vole, the perfect size to be shared by two, and padded over towards the family. ”I’m not interrupting anything, am I?” She asked, putting her vole down. ”But did you want to share this vole? I took a few bites, but I’m already full, and I think this should be enough for you two anyways.” She said.

Nimblecloud looked up, having finished getting out the remaining thistle with her teeth. She spat it out gently, and purred a response to Kitty. "No you aren't , I'd love to share a vole with you."

Shadowflight | Nursery | w/ Eveningcloud (♡ Bun ♡)
Shadowflight turned back to look at her when she pulled away, already missing the feeling of her warmth and comforting nuzzles. ”Well, it’s just that I’m not that good with these types of things. Cause it’s my first time and all.” He said rushingly. Heck, he wasn’t even sure he could pull of being a proper father to the kits. This was definitely the expectant father fears that managed to drill self-doubt into his head. However Eveningcloud didn’t look worried, seeming to take this opportunity with much positivity and enthusiasm, but if she was worried, she was doing a good job at hiding it. But Eveningcloud hiding worries from him was the last thing Shadowflight wanted. ”Are you worried too?”
Eveningcloud - Camp - Morning Her fluffy white head turned to look Shadowflight straight in his bright yellow eyes, before quickly nuzzling him again, "Dear you're doing just fine, your names are wonderful." She paused and gave him a reassuring smile, "It's my first time too, ya know." She winked at him and leaned into him once again, the warmth of her mate gave her feelings of bliss. She brought a paw up to her muzzle and gave it a few quick licks, her ear slightly turned when her mate spoke. Without looking at him she replied, "Of course I'm going to be a little worried, kits are a lot to handle." She paused, "Especially knowing who their father is." She giggled playfully and pressed into him a little more, remembering when Shadowflight was an apprentice with her and all the trouble they got into. |

Kitty smiled and nodded then turned to Hickorypaw. ”You can have some too if you want. Sharing food with your mother counts as bonding time too, right?” She said nudging the vole closer towards the pair before sitting down. In her peripheral vision, she noticed the stray thistle that the warrior spat out before. ”Nimblecloud, your bedding has thistles again? I can go find moss to replace your old bedding if you’d like.” She offered the mother, hoping to get on her good side. ”I remember once before I met the clan, I slept on this huge thistle and I couldn’t stand properly for half a moon. I’d hate to see that happen to you too.” She waited for the warrior’s reaction. Was she one of the cats who had disagreed with the rouges and loners joining the clan? What about her son?

Shadowflight sighed in relief; at least he wasn’t the only one who felt nervous about becoming a parent. While it was apparent he was very anxious about the whole ordeal, he came to realise that it would definitely be a learning experience for the pair and he could choose anyone to do it with, it would definitely be Eveningcloud, given her supportive and kind nature. Perhaps he shouldn’t be too worried about it and try to be more positive like her. ”Yeah, I’ll be fine. We’ll be fine.” He tried to say confidently, but came out a lot more tentative than he had hoped. Instead of dwelling on his unsure tone, he instead focused on his mate’s next words. ”Hey, I’m pretty sure all the trouble was all on you, I was just innocent cat dragged into your mischief.” He said jokingly. However he knew very well that the statement was completely false. As an apprentice, he would wake her up at night and go hunting with her just to prove to everyone else that he wasn’t just a scared kitten who stayed by his mother’s side all the time. The memories gave him a warm, fuzzy feeling and on instinct, he leaned into Eveningcloud’s touch, enjoying the nostalgia the pair were both sharing.

Nimblecloud gratefully took a few bites of the prey before answering the warrior. When she was done chewing she pushed it over to her son. "Yeah, I had a run in with the bush. Some new bedding would be nice." she looked at kitty, her eyes happy. "I haven't really seen you around much? Been busy?" The older shecat curled up her paws to rest underneath her chest, a happy purr escaping her mouth. She was getting fat, and it made her happy. She just wished she could have kits again. She brought herself back to the conversation, shaking the dreamy from her eyes.

Kitty nodded, glad that the mother didn’t seem hostile and cold. ”The next time I head out, I’ll see what I can get for you.” She told her. ”Soon you’ll be sleeping like a kit in no time.” She joked. She then answered Nimblecloud’s next question. ”I recently joined the clan so I’m sort-of new? I go out hunting a lot to help pull my weight for the clan as well, so maybe that’s why we haven’t seen each other around.” Kitty decided to leave out the part where she left to go without asking anyone, which was cause for much scoldings from Nightstar and other cats, but at least Nimblecloud hadn’t heard about that yet. ”We should go hunting later then, so we can bond together more. You’re one of the more nicer cats I’ve met here.”
