Robinpaw(on patrol) Robinpaw's tail curled up in amusement at the younger apprentices excitement at leading the patrol. She had always liked the young apprentice's enthusiasm. Quailaw(in camp) Quailpaw brightened at his mentor's words, he had always liked battle training, it would be a good way to start off the morning. 'Ok', he replied happily and followed Ashstrike out of camp. (Sorry about being inactive for the week, I was camping and the internet was pretty bad) Ashstrike with Quailpaw (Training Rock) As they approached Training Rock, Ashstrike turned his head to the apprentice, eyeing him thoughtfully "We'll have to start preparing you for your final assessment relatively soon, and then after that you'll have to complete your Final Test out in the forest." He flicked his ear "But for now, we'll focus on a new move, best used on a weakened opponent called the 'Upright Lock.' " The large black tom stopped as they reached the rock "It is where you rear up on your hind legs and bring your full weight down on your opponent." He explained "I'll also be showing you what to do if your opponent does the same." |

"Yes, please do and tend to him. I will be back soon to check on him." Sageflower answered. She hoped that Honeypaw was suffering a small cold and not something more serious. "I am going out to look for herbs with Sunpaw. Watch over the den until I get back."
Rosepaw lets out a small laugh as she rises to her paws. "Maybe I did! I have been working on it!"

Quailpaw(with Ashstrike, Training Rock)
Quailpaw had to restrain himself from bouncing up and down with excitement at Ashstrike's words, his final assessment! Soon he would become a warrior! 'Really?' Quailpaw meowed excitedly. He knew his final assessment wouldn't be the next day, but it would be soon and that was all he needed to know. He pricked his ears as his mentor began to speak again. 'Ok', Quailpaw replied. He was always excited to learn a new battle move.

Ashstrike nodded "Watch."
He reared up on his hind legs before effectively slamming his weight down onto his forepaws when he dropped back down. He looked at Quailpaw before speaking again "Repeat what I just showed you."

Quailpaw(with Ashstrike, Training Rock)
Quailpaw watched his mentor closely, wanting to get the move just right when it was his turn to perform it. Quailpaw nodded to his mentor when he told him to repeat the move and headed into place on the training rock to try it out. He reared up on his hind legs just as his mentor had done, and then gathered all his wait and slammed it down onto his forepaws when he dropped down. He was worried that his drop was a little lopsided, but that was for his mentor to say. 'Was that ok?', Quailpaw asked Ashstrike.

Ashstrike (With Quailpaw, Training Rock)
Ashstrike studied the tom's movement with a critical eye, before nodding "Very good," He mewed gruffly "Try keeping your eye focused on where you want to drop so you know you won't miss." He flicked his tail before speaking again "Do the same move again, but this time I'll meet you in the air, I want you to try and pin me down, ok?"

Quailpaw swelled at his mentors praise, he was glad he had performed the move well. He paid attention to what his mentor said next. 'Ok' Quailpaw replied and performed the move once more, bunching his muscles for a powerful leap, Ashstrike leaped in front of him , and remembering his mentor's words, he kept his eyes focused on Ashstrike's shoulder's. He came down with all his weight, pinning Ashstrike down by pressing his forepaws on his shoulders.

He decided to go with the move where he rushed at the other cat, then let them pin him down, and then he would go limp and power up and pin them down himself. So as Ashstrike circled him, Quailpaw rushed at him, his mentor leaped up at the same time Quailpaw did and pinned him down by his shoulders, then Quailpaw let himself go limp. When he was sure his mentor would be least expectant of it, Quailpaw powered him self up, he had a little difficulty flipping Ashstrike over because of his greater size, but he managed it no less and pinned him down.

Making sure his claws were sheathed, he pummelled the apprentice's belly with his back legs in the mock of a Belly Rake, powering himself upwards as he forcefully kicked the apprentice off him, yet again waiting for the cats next move as he stood up. |

Robinleap in Forest with Pearmoon Robinleap smiled at Pearmoon. "Good catch," he meowed. He sniffed around for some more prey. His ears perked up and he stood straight upon hearing a bird. It was his turn to make a catch. He crouched and stalked around, finding the prey near a tree root. The bird, now clearly a starling, must've heard or smelled him because it took off into the air. Robinleap took one bound and leapt into the air, taking the bird down with him. He returned with the bird in his jaws. "That's nice for your sister," his meow muffled by the bird. (Not sure if you replied, but trying to get back to being active so… Jademist) |

Sunpaw (with Sageflower, herb gathering) Hawkeyes258 Sunpaw gave her brother a concerned look before he was lead off by the medicine cat apprentice. Unsure of whether she still wanted to go out gathering when her brother was so clearly ill, she hesitated in the camp entrance. Sageflower had padded out into the forest already. I'm sure Sageflower knows what she's doing she thought to herself, she wouldn't have just left if it was really serious. Still slightly hesitant, she eventually turned to exit camp, promising herself she wouldn't be out too long. Catching up to Sageflower, she fell into step beside her. ' Honeypaw will be alright, won't he?' she asked timidly. Birchfoot (with many cats, patrol) Little meow meow Hawkeyes258 🐦silvermoon2🐦 Junospower Giving a flick of his tail to indicate the patrol should set off after the eager apprentice, Birchfoot followed Minnowpaw out into the forest, pausing as she stopped just outside the exit. 'You know where to go?' he asked the she-cat as she stood rooted to the spot, surprised the exciteable young cat hadn't barreled head first into the undergrowth. Lakepaw (with Rosepaw, camp) Hawkeyes258 With Rosepaw getting to her paws, Lakepaw leaned back and let his tail curl in delight as he looked up at her. 'Now that I think about it actually, your kick should have been slightly to the left for the best results.' he drawled hautily, knowing full well that her technique had been flawless but not wanting to give her all the credit, 'we could train together and I could help you work on it.'
