"I would like that." Snowfeather mewed staring at him for a few minutes before looking down at the ground. She found it hard just to look at him. Why did this have to happen? Why couldn't they just be a perfect little family? Snowfeather silently waits for Scorchtail to leave the nursery so she could cry.

(Ooo she surely will! I feel so bad for Snowfeather haha :c )
Gail nodded understandingly and sat down a taillength from the tom, her tail curling effortlessly over her paws. “Oh no, we were just finishing up.” She grinned softly, her golden gaze locked on Sparrow. “You don’t seem to be a clancat.” The white she-cat noted, looking him up and down. She knew he wasn’t a clancat but she was curious about his story nonetheless. A few fresh scars seemed to line his pelt. That instantly intrigued Gail. “So what brings you here?”
Scorchtail nodded and turned around, his tail drooped behind him as he exited the nursery to give Snowfeather some time to process this. He went straight to the warrior’s den, deciding to sleep on the events of today. The red tom curled up into a ball and after a few moments of overthinking he drifted off in a deep sleep.

Sparrow narrowed his eyes, his suspicion trying to overcome his curiosity. He shook his head once more at the she-cat’s words. “No, I’m not a clan cat. I could never be a clan cat. They’re just so... I don’t know how to describe them. But I assume you think the same?” He gestured around them as he spoke, indicating what he meant. This mess that they made; they must be pretty angry to have done it. The large tom sighed at Gail’s question. “I had to get away from my sister,” he mewed, feeling his hesitation. From the scene around them, he couldn’t be sure he wanted to trust these cats. They seemed nice, at least this white cat did, but the mess quarreled with what he assumed. He took a step back, which exposed what he was thinking.

(Sorry for the delay!)
Gail grinned softly. “Yes, I think we mean the same.” Her tail softly curled and uncurled again as she watched him. So there was another loner around. She could see the tom had some doubts about talking to them, which was understandable with the scene around them. “Our quarrel is only with the clancats.” She reassured him, she’d explain more if the tom asked about it. It wasn’t like they had secrets about what they were doing. Was it unreasonable to want to feed their families? To have a safe place to sleep? To rid the forest of those aggressive and tyrannical clancats? No, she didn’t think so, and she had a feeling this gray tom would agree with that. But first she wanted to know more about the other loner. “What happened with your sister?” She asked, her head tilting with interest. Did she have a run in with the clancats too?

(You’re good!)
Sparrow nodded slowly, taking another look around them. “I assumed as much,” he commented. “And, honestly, they deserve whatever you’ve thrown at them. It’s not my business, but they seemed a bit stuck up and agitated when I met them.” He lowered his eyes as he remembered his encounter with the two cats. One had been quite small and weak, probably young, but the other had had fury. Lots of fury. He guessed that her aggressiveness had come from these cats in front of him, but how could he know how long this rivalry had gone on. When the she-cat asked about his sister, his fur bristled slightly. Not wanting these cats to get any ideas, he spoke cautiously. “She kept talking about this tom, Scorchtail. She says she’s in love, but...” He paused, his gaze darting between each of the cats. “But why am I telling you this? I don’t know even who you are!”

(Should we skip time when Gail and Sparrow are done talking so Snowfeather can have her kits?)
“Ah yes, I suspected you’ve had a run in with them. They’re quite unwelcoming to say the least.” Gail meowed in agreement. It was hard not to have met clancats around here. She listened carefully as he talked about his sister, her eyebrows raising slightly. Scorchtail; that certainly sounded like a clanmame. Ah, the story of love between a clancat and a loner, how romantic. That is until one of them inevitably dies because of the petty rules and stuffy traditions that has those brainless clancats in a tight grip. She nodded understandingly. “That’s fair. My name is Gail and they are Phoenix and Raven.” She gestured with her tail to introduce the two cats behind her. “We are a family of rogues. A lot of us had a nasty experience with clancats in the past, so we’ve bonded over that. Plus, I need the territory to sustain my family and the clancats don’t seem to be a fan of sharing. But this is just the short version as to why we’re here, doing what we’re doing.” She explained calmly. “What about you?”

(Yeah, I’m gonna have Violet join the picture though, just because I don’t want her to be completely forgotten.
Sparrow blinked around the group, listening as Gail spoke. He could easily piece together what was happening here now, and that, almost, comforted him. He flattened his fur and silently cursed. There’s three of them, from what I can see, and one of me. Don’t be rude. He thought, closing his eyes for a moment. “My name is Sparrow. My sister and I travelled a long ways after we left our house-folk. They were nice, but that wasn’t our home. But of course, when we did find the den we stay in now, we realized there were clan cats around, which led to our current argument.” He paused, taking a deep breath. “I just want her to be happy, but I don’t think I want her with a clan cat.”
Phoenix didn’t take her eyes off the stranger, Sparrow, for one second as he and Gail talked. Even though she knew to trust the white she-cat, she wouldn’t let her guard down.
Violet watched the encounter from her spot in the shadows, watching in amusement as each cat reacted differently. That being said, the rogues were still quite organized, which she liked. Silently, she approached the group and stepped out of the undergrowth near Raven. She acted calmly, as though she was supposed to be there the entire time. “And I’m Violet,” she mewed, her voice hinting her experience.

(Hawk, you can roleplay Raven if you want, she’s just a random rogue)
“I can understand that.” Gail replied to Sparrow’s story, when she opened her mouth to say more another cat had entered the scene, introducing herself as Violet. She slightly narrowed her golden gaze and turned around to look at the newcomer. Her feathery white tail twitched in amusement; she didn’t mind surprises. It was quite interesting to have the night take a different turn. Voilet’s scent and name didn’t correspond with clancats so Gail saw no reason to be hostile; they were all just cats looking to get by and feed their families, right? Though, she was quite impressed with the she-cat’s stalking technique, she hadn’t seen her coming. “Hello there, what brings you to our little meeting?”
Raven jumped to her paws in shock at the appearance of Violet, a low growl escaped her mouth and her black fur raised along her spine. How came she didn’t notice the she-cat sneaking up on them? She forced her fur to lie flat again when she noticed Gail’s calm demeanor but she decided to keep a close eye on Violet anyway.

Sparrow turned his head to the new cat, Violet, and puffed out his tail as it lashed behind him. He peered around her to try and see how she made it through the undergrowth without making a sound. It looked to be all her, as her path looked the same as all the others. Silently, he sat down, looking amazed, yet he wasn’t sure how to take this in.
Violet completely ignored the three cats around her, her gaze locked on Gail. With her tail flicking behind her, she mewed, “I have been traveling behind your group since my sister, Stormy, joined you. I didn’t feel like it was the right place for me until now. You’re going to need someone who can move undetected through the forest if you’re going to continue this quarrel with the clan.” She paused, allowing her words to sink in. Violet knew Gail was a reasonable cat, but admitting that she had stalked these cats for a long time, that was a long run.

Gail mulled her words over for a moment as she looked the she-cat up and down. Stormy had joined quite a while ago and Violet had been spying on them since then.. She didn’t feel too happy about that, it was quite embarrassing to have it go unnoticed. But it didn’t really matter to Gail anymore, Violet seemed to be on their side, so why not use her qualities? “Why did you decide to reveal yourself now?” The white she-cat asked finally, her golden gaze resting on Violet. She was intrigued, curious but still a little wary. Before anything could be decided she’d have to hear the she-cat out. That was only fair.

“And what guarantee do I have your information will be the truth and that you won’t dubbelcross us? I know Stormy, but I don’t know you.” Gail meowed, giving her tail a soft flick. Violet asked for a lot, a lot of trust to put into her while she wasn’t a close, or ‘confirmed’ ally yet. The fact that her sister was part of their group wasn’t enough and it certainly wasn’t enough to trust her. She needed to give some proof that she was on their side, proof that she could really be of use. There was no reason to send her out to spy on clancats only to spill their own information and possibly get killed. Of course Gail could use Stormy as a way of blackmailing Violet, but that was just a little something in the back of her mind. To use when things would go south. She preferred not to use her family in a manipulative way. Besides Stormy had proven herself to be a valuable member, it would be a shame to lose her.

Gail just eyed Violet for a moment, she did seem to be sincere. “Very well then. Let’s continue this conversation in someplace we will not be at risk of being disturbed by clancats.” She rose to her paws, facing Sparrow again. “We’ll see you again, Sparrow. Keep safe.” She’d hoped to learn more about the tom, maybe convince him into joining the rogues as well. Right now her focus was needed elsewhere and Gail wasn’t totally comfortable about making new plans with a ‘stranger’ around, who’s sister was ‘entangled’ with a clancat. They’d surely meet Sparrow again since he lived nearby. She gestured for Violet to lead the way. “Since you should know where our camp is I suggest you lead the way.”

Sparrow dipped his head, eyes darting around the group as they headed off. He padded away from the spot, toward the border, and headed toward his and Mystic’s den. He didn’t want to go back, but Gail had left with that new cat, Violet, so he didn’t want to stay near the clan’s territory. Once he reached the clearing surrounding the den, he leaped into one of the trees and settled down. He would wait.
Violet let her breath out slowly, surprised she was even holding it. She’d never wanted the approval of another’s so bad; perhaps she had been right about speaking up. Standing, she dipped her head to Sparrow and led the way back towards the lake. Her silent instinct led her around gnarled bushes and piles of leaves. Finally, reaching the camp, she hesitated. She had always watched from the outside, never even got close to entering the camp. It felt strange to pad into it, when just earlier she had been hiding in the shadows. Taking a breath, she pushed through the undergrowth and looked around the camp. Violet took in all the cats there, noting the weakest points in the barrier, and turned to Gail.
Phoenix took another glance toward Sparrow as she, Raven, and Gail padded after Violet. She didn’t know what to think of him. But she didn’t know what to think of Violet either. It was impressive how she’d managed to stay an undetected shadow, and even now that they knew she was there, it was almost impossible to hear paw steps.

Gail was impressed Violet knew the way to their camp, it showed her that Violet had been telling the truth and it gave her some time to observe the she-cat. She seemed to be silent and quick on her feet; good qualities for a possible spy. “I suggest we sleep on it first. I’ll see you in the morning to discuss your plan.” She meowed as she glanced over at Violet. “Stormy will show you where you can rest. As for the others, you two did well tonight.” She dismissed Raven and Phoenix with a nod of her head. She was especially impressed with Phoenix today. Quickly she made her way over to her den, curling up in a white ball of fur. After pondering the events of the day - and the night - over for a few heartbeats she drifted off into sleep.

Phoenix yawned, pushing her legs out in front of her. She debated sleeping in with all that had happened last night, but she also wanted to know more about this new sneaky cat. Her gaze scanned the clearing before she stood and padded around, sniffing the air and looking at who was already awake.
Violet crouched in the undergrowth just outside the camp, not caring whether she was noticed or not now. She was curious to how the other rogues would react to see her and find out how she’d joined them in heir quarrel. Her sister couldn’t have been happier to see her and Violet was quite glad she had made her decision when she did. Occasionally, her gaze darted to where she had seen Gail vanish just before Stormy had shown up and her mind stayed fixed on what the she-cat would say. Would she trust her enough to send her toward the clan? Violet wanted to get into action right away, but she knew it didn’t always work like that too. She so would be patient, like she always was.
Sparrow lay outside the siblings’ den, enjoying a fresh mouse. He had eventually joined Mystic in the den and briefly apologized to her. He still didn’t like her situation, but he also could stop it. Now, he watched as she padded away toward the border, probably hoping to catch Scorchtail. He sighed and shook his head. Later, he would go back to where he had been last night and try to find those rogues again. They seemed to have some sense, at least.
Mystic stretched as Sparrow ate outside, unsure if she should say something before leaving. Deciding not to, she stood and padded away, heading in the direction of her and Scorchtail’s first meeting place. She didn’t know when he would be out, but she would wait around the area and look. She hoped he wouldn’t be with any of his other clanmates; he had told her that it wouldn’t be good if they found out. She didn’t know what that entailed, but she didn’t want to risk it. As she neared the border, she leaped into a tree, digging her claws in and peering down.

Snowfeather slowly wakes up and takes a moment to adjust herself. At first, she felt at peace until she remembered what happened yesterday. She lets out a sigh and carefully steps out of the nursery. Snowfeather couldn't bear to stay there any longer less she fall back into a wave of self pity.
Wolfstar was up and listening to the dawn patrol give their report. The rogues had left a bunch of shredded body parts of prey in their territory. He couldn't help but growl at the thought of prey going to waste like that. Thankfully, the patrol managed to bury the remains. He dismisses them and calls out for Blazestorm wanting his advice on how to strike back.

(Thanks Robin!!)
Gail stretched her legs as she had woken up from her slumber. She'd slept well tonight and after mulling the events over a new plan had formed in her head. But first she needed to hear what Violet's thoughts were on the matter. She stepped outside her den and noticed Violet had made herself somewhat confortable in camp. With her tail she beckoned for the she-cat to join her in the privacy of her den to continue their conversation.
----
Scorchtail had woken up still feeling a little groggy from the events of yesterday. Today could only get better though; he'd gotten everything off his chest. He'd always felt like it was better to be open and honest, but it was hard trying not to hurt anyone. And Snowfeather was definitely hurt in the process. From today he didn't want to dwell on the past anymore, he'd help Snowfeather wherever she needed and he'd take the time to see Mystic too. He really looked forward to seeing Mystic again. The red tom yawned once more before he headed towards the clearing. His green gaze caught sight of his former mate. Mustering all of his confidence he walked up to her, hoping things didn't have to get awkward between them. "Hey Snowfeather. How are you? Do you need anything?" He paused, unsure if she'd even want to be in his company.
-----
At Wolfstar's call Bazestorm made his way over to the leader's den. He'd heard about what happened on the patrol tonight. It filled him with dismay and disgust that the rogues really didn't seem to have any limit on what they'd do to pull the clancat's tails. "Wolfstar, you called for me?" The red tom offered his leader a nod in greeting.

“I did.” Gail nodded. “I hope Stormy has ensured you’ve had a comfortable sleep as well.” She meowed as she settled back down inside of her den, facing Violet. “So, let’s talk business.” She meowed after a short pause. “You want to spy for us. I want to know why exactly. Not to be ungrateful but because I believe every cat wants something in return for their services, which is understandable of course.” She flicked her tail before she draped it neatly over her white paws. If Violet turned out to be trustworthy, the bigger plan could become a lot easier.

Gail nodded understandingly, wanting to be close to family was a good reason. Not using Violet’s special skills would be a waste, Violet had been right about that. “I understand. You have very specific skills which could be of great use here. The only thing I ask from you is that your loyalty lies with us no matter what happens.” Her golden gaze held Violet’s, looking for nervousness and dishonesty - but there was no trace of it in the she-cat’s blue eyes. “Did you have a plan in mind?” She inquired. Of course Gail would give Violet some clues as to which things she would need to pay attention to but surely this sly she-cat would’ve already seen parts of the territory. She wondered if Violet had already encountered Tempestclan cats before but she decided to safe that question for later.

Violet nodded at the she-cat’s words, knowing this was a big commitment. “I wouldn’t have come if I didn’t want to help,” she mewed confidently, quietly tapping her paw on the ground for good measure. At the white she-cat’s next words, she paused. She had visited the territory and she had seen why the rogues wanted it. She figured it wasn’t the only reason but the territory was still quite plentiful. She had yet to find the clan’s camp, but a patrol had passed by her once. From what she had heard, they were quite annoyed that the rogues had come back to torment them and were trying to keep up. She shook her head, coming out of thought. “No, I don’t. Clan cats are unpredictable, so I stay unpredictable. But you seem to have something in mind.”
