Gail nodded thoughtfully, she had decided to put het trust in this she-cat. So far Violet had not shown any red flags. Her shoulders lowered slightly, giving the white she-cat a softer and more open look. "I do have something in mind. I want to know where their camp is located. And I want to know what their plans are. By now they must've seen what we've done to their prey. Surely they'll be plotting some kind of countermove. Another thing I want to know is what their weaknesses are. I have some in mind but I don't want to cloud your vision." She paused, her golden gaze locked on Violet. "Do you think you're up for it? Ruining their lives even though they did you personally no wrong? This is a matter of life or death for us." Her tone was as serious as her gaze. Violet certainly seemed capable enoug but could she be ruthless too? Or would she pity them?

“Good. You’re free to go now. Gather as much information as you can and report to me when you’ve found something important.” Gail instructed Violet. She couldn’t wait to see what information the ‘spy’ would come up with. Her personality intrigued Gail, maybe because she wasn’t sure what was really driving the she-cat. Violet just seemed to need a goal, something to dive into. Or maybe she was hiding something. But for now that didn’t matter. It was time to see if this cooperation would work out and Violet was obviously itching to dig her claws into the deep secrets of the clancats. That was a promising sign.

Violet dipped her head to the white she-cat and exited the den. Glancing around the camp, she slipped into the bushes and padded silently toward the clan border. She trusted her instincts to keep her from getting caught, but now that she was doing this for someone else, it made her a bit nervous. She tried to focus on her paw steps, that always helped to calm her nerves, and eventually she reached the border. She was near the Twoleg clearing, she could tell, which meant the clan had moved their border. Assuming this was old news, she cautiously padded forward, making sure to stay in the undergrowth. Once the clearing was behind her, she paused. Should she look for a patrol? They were probably her best bet of finding the camp. Softly, she began walking again, but kept her ears perked for any sign of cats.

(What do we do now? :0 )
Gail wachted Violet slither away, wondering what she’d bring to the rogues. As for now they seemed to have the upper hand but it might be too cocky to think that way. Gail was always on her toes, ready for the unexpected. She walked out of her den and into the clearing, leaping onto a rock to adress her family. After a short but clear update on the situation she stepped back down. It was nice to see the relieved faces of the cats around her. Honestly was often the best policy and she trusted these cats with her life, just like they trusted her with their lives.

(Oo yes good idea! Thanks Hawk ) Pearmoon was wandering through the forest by herself. She'd been out hunting today but it seemed like even the prey had been scared off by the rogues. The cream colored she-cat sighed, she didn't like the tension of what was happening in the forest and she didn't feel like staying in camp either with Scorchtail drooping around since he'd broken up with Snowfeather. It was sad to see them part, though she did like Mystic too. She wasn't one to judge, sometimes stuff just didn't work out. The she-cat lifted her muzzle, trying to catch the scent of prey in the wind.

Violet dropped almost immediately at the scent of another, her dark gaze scanning the undergrowth. Padding softly, she moved forward until she could see the cream paws of another cat, a clan cat. She narrowed her eyes curiously. The Tempestclan cat was clearing looking for something, prey perhaps, and that could make it hard for Violet. She would have to be aware of the she-cat’s every movement, for she could come at the dark she-cat at any moment. Taking in their surroundings, she pivoted around and put distance between them. She would still be able to hear Pearmoon, but if Violet couldn’t see her, it meant that she couldn’t see Violet.

After a few heartbeats Pearmoon picked up the faint scent of a mouse, digging somewhere in the leaves. She stalked after the small creature, getting closer step by step. Unaware that she was being stalked as well. She burst out after the mouse and when it fled into the bushes, she went right after it. With a quick movement of her claw she managed to get a hold on it's hindside and she held the small animal down, delivering a swift killing bite. "Arghh.. now my fur is all tangled up again." She muttered, reaching her tail around to look at all the twigs and leaves tangled in her creamy hairs.

(Should Pearmoon see her?)
Pearmoon buried the mouse in the hopes she'd be catching another piece of prey to bring back to camp soon. She wasn't too optimistic about it though, today seemed to be an off day for her. Maybe she could sneak off and say hi to Mystic? She was curious about the she-cat. But that might be a bad idea. Shaking her fur as she stepped outside of the bushes she glanced around for a new victim.

"Yes, I need your input. The morning patrol found pieces of prey scattered around our territory. That prey could have been used to feed our clan! I'm not certain how often the rogues enter our territory but I'm thinking about sending out a patrol to wait and ambush a passing rogue." He hoped this would send a message that the clan was ready for a fight. "I want to know what you think of this idea."
Snowfeather shakes her head. "No, I'm fine just getting some fresh air." Scorchtail was the last cat she wanted to see right now. She did her best to remain cordial despite what her head was saying. Moving on wasn't going to be easy and she wasn't sure to do that.

(Sure! Pearmoon is a little bit naive so she'd trust her. Though, she would tell Blazestorm..)
Pearmoon took the time to pick some twigs and leaves from her fur. There was something in the air today that made her feel uneasy about being alone in the forest. That might just be the news she heard this morning, or was it? Maybe it was better to dig up her catch and return to the safety of the camp.
-----
Blazestorm lashed his tail irritably behind him at Wolfstar's words. Those rogues had zero respect for them, for nature and the prey that fed them. He pondered for a moment at the leader's suggestion. "I think that would be a good idea. We have to make sure we're prepared to fight though, because I'm sure those savages will go in full attack mode after that." He meowed, all the Tempestclan cat's actions against the rogues seemed to be followed up by even worse things.
---------
It felt like daggers of ice were stabbing Scorchtail in the heart at Snowfeather's demeanor towards him. There was an obvious distance, an awkward tension that hung between them. He couldn't blame her though, she needed time to heal too. The red tom nodded at the queen. "Ah okay.. I'll go out for a hunt. I - uh - I'll see you around." He meowed with a half smile, before he padded off to the entrance. The fresh forest air felt nice as it breezed through his fur and his heart started pounding faster at the thought of meeting Mystic again.

(Violet can handle Blazestorm lol.)
Violet watched with a tilted head as Pearmoon cleaned herself. Would she lead the dark she-cat to her camp now? Or had she somehow figured out Violet was there and was hesitating? Violet took a single step forward and paused, her eyes darting behind the Tempestclan cat occasionally.
Mystic paced along her tree branch, seating in the breeze. She anticipated seeing Scorchtail again, but she could be there all day. Leaping down a couple branches, she spotted a thrush nibbling at something in the undergrowth. Silently, she leapt down to the ground and padded closer. Once within pouncing range, she leapt, paws stretched out toward the bird. It flew away just then, her paws missing it by a couple mouse-lengths. Sighing, she batted at the air unenthusiastically.

( 😂😂)
Pearmoon turned around abruptly, heading back for the mouse. She dove back into the undergrowth to look for it but instead she stumbled upon an unfamiliar she-cat. The cream she-cat gasped in shock and tumbled out of the bushes. “Who are you?” She asked, her tone more curious than stern.
——-
Scorchtail’s green gaze searched the forest as he walked. Once he spotted the gray furred she-cat in the distance a purr started in his throat and he with a happy trot he made his way up to her. His bushy red tail high in the air. “Hey you.” A smile naturally grew on his face at the sight of her. He hoped she’d be happy to see him too. It had been a hard goodbye yesterday but he was glad she took it so well. He’d put all his trust in this she-cat, he would tell her everything she wanted to know and maybe even more. “Did you miss me?”

Violet started as Pearmoon all of a sudden came in her direction. She made a half-hearted attempt to escape before realizing that would only make it worse. Thinking fast, she turned and grinned. "My apologies. I was- I was surprised to find your border back there," she began, a bit hesitant. It was all character, of course. "I didn't know such a big group of cats could live in a place like this and I was curious. I hope I didn't do anything wrong." She sighed, fiddling with her paw. Her sudden act had kind of surprised her, but was hoped it was enough to fool this she-cat.
Mystic turned at the sound of Scorchtail's voice and grinned. "There you are. Of course I missed you," she mewed, leaning her head toward him and rubbing her muzzle against his cheek. Finally. The wait had seemed like forever. Taking a step back, she searched his gaze. She remembered him telling her how he had had another mate and how he had to talk to her. "How did the talk with Snowfeather go?" Her own gaze was sympathetic as she spoke.

Pearmoon had scrambled back to her paws and tilted her head as she watched Violet. “Well, you’re not supposed to cross the border.” She meowed and gave het fur a shake, shedding off some leaves and sand. “But it’s not the end of the world I guess.” The she-cat shrugged lightly. “Where did you come from?” Maybe she knew Sparrow and Mystic, maybe she was just lost. Pearmoon wasn’t sure.
——
“I’m glad to hear that, I missed you too.” Scorchtail purred and sat down near the she-cat. Honestly meeting her was the favorite part of his day. At the mention of Snowfeather he shuffled his paws uncomfortably as he thought back to yesterday’s talk. “Hmmm she was very sad.. and now it’s very awkward. It was a hard conversation. I guess that’s why I’d put it off for so long.” He sighed softly. “It had to be done though and I’m relieved because I do want to be truthful to everyone.” Of course the whole truth still had to come out to Snowfeather but at least a big part of it was already told by now.

Violet gave a slight frown. “Oh, I guess my curiosity got the best of me.” She glanced around, not really liking how this was going. She had told Gail she was an expert at spying, but this did not prove that. All she had to do was avoid conversation about the rogues and she should be fine. At the she-cat’s question, she mewed, “I lived a little ways beyond the lake. But I got a little lonely and decided to see if a rumor was true. About cats living all the way out here. It was clearly right.”
Mystic nodded and moved to sit beside the red tom. She still felt bad for taking the she-cat’s place, but she had been Scorchtail’s final choice and she was glad. “Well, I hope things work out between you in the end,” she mewed, entwining her tail with his. “I’m not entirely sure how well Sparrow took the news. He seemed a bit angry and agitated at first, but he looked better about it this morning.” She said after a moment.

Snowfeather, while making sure no one was watching, slipped out of camp and follows Scorchtail's trail. Her gut was telling her to follow him though she had to be careful. Snowfeather could feel her kits moving around in her belly and hoped her little ones wouldn't make this difficult. Little did she know that her kits had other ideas.
"Shame we can't set a trap." Wolfstar lamented. "Have them fall into a hole or lead them off a cliff." The last suggestion was rather dark, but the rogues would do the same if they could! He would send his best warriors for this ambush and prepare for the worse.

"Oh I have the same all the time." Pearmoon chuckled lightly. She pondered for a moment at Violet's next words. "I thought the rogues lived near the lake, have you met them? You should watch out, they won't be as nice as me." Her cream cloured tail flicked behind her.
---
Scorchtail rested his head against Mystic. It was so kind of her to ask about it. His head lifted as she mentioned Sparrow. "I'm sorry. I should've asked you about that. I'm glad to hear he might be coming around though. If you want I could always try and talk to him." The large red tom offered. Maybe it was a big adjustment for Sparrow too; they had been with the two of them for most of their lives.
-----
"We can keep that in mind for when things really get out of hand." Blazestorm nodded, he didn't really want to kill them all off but they had already killed one of their clanmembers too. He was sure they wouldn't mind killing another. "Maybe we could start thinking about a trap we could set for them? Like a plan B."
