bad. moth flights vision ruined it, even if it was written before his redemption. since it was placed after dotc it makes it look like he was just acting nice as pr and went back to being an asshole first chance he got

I thought he was just pissed off because of the accusations from Wind Runner, because of Willow Tail starting trouble. I don't remember, but I don't think he killed anyone this time, so that's an improvement I guess lol. Is that why in book 1 or 2, Moth Flight had 3 brothers, and then she suddenly had 2 brothers and a sister?

I know that the book came before Gray Wing died (I think) But if you look at it from an in-universe perspective, it could be like he's acting out because he misses Gray Wing? I don't know. I know Clear Sky is a terrible jerk, but I like seeing the best in characters (for the most part, unless they're annoying)

Clear Sky cannot be redeemed imo, that redemption just went down the drain. It was like one of those bad Youtube apology videos. Even when he claims he's not, Clear Sky is still the same cat underneath, or at least that's how I saw him. Certain moments I liked him, and others I didn't. He is so inconsistent that his redemption just feels so hollow and false. But my opinion is very, very biased lol. I am a determined disliker of Clear Sky.

As someone who loves Skystar, I didn't like how he was handled in the last two books and especially MFV.
Relapses happen and I'm not expecting for change to occur overnight, but it's pretty obvious from the writing that they didn't really know what to do with his character after TBS, which isn't helped by MFV being inconsistent with the rest of the books due to it being around the time of TFB's publication.

But I just found his drive so interesting, like, he wasn't driven by revenge or ambition, he was driven by fear. I don't like what he's done, but I don't think I could ever dislike him, because I find him super interesting.

He was a very interesting character and a compelling villain when he was one. But still, he killed Rainswept Flower, my favorite character, and that makes me a n g r y.

Comparing the ending of PoS to the beginning of MFV, it seems like the writers initially had a different story in mind and just didn't bother making revisions, because the Clans already view each other as rivals and gossip about each other. For some reason, there also seems to be a bit of retconning involved when it comes to the warrior code, because now it's gone back to saying that at least parts of it were established within a single generation (ex: Gatherings, Raven Pelt being Shadowstar's second deputy despite not being related to her).

Oh, that's a bit odd...I wonder how the story could have been different, if they had written Moth Flight's Vision after the arc was over?

Well, at least with Shadowstar’s second deputy. She didn’t really have any other living relatives to choose from. Her brother was dead as was her nephew after all.

This guy should have not remained leader after book 3 and he remained a jerk even after he was redeemed lol. Your apology letter is great!

Clear Sky's redemption being a YouTuber's apology video pretty much sums it all up ngl
Also, that picture is hilarious and dead accurate.
