Silversong with Poppypaw
Mother Dark

"Correct! Great job on identifying you mistake, that's the next step to becoming a great warrior, now we will learn from that mistake." Silversong crouched into the hunting pose. "See that stone over there?" She motioned towards it with her tail, "that can be the prey." Silversong crept slowly to the stone, stopping about a fox length away. She bunched up her back muscles, shifting just the slightest, then she pounced! Silversong landed with her paws square on top of the stone. She turned and looked at her apprentice, "do you want to try?" She asked, flicking her ears. "The trick is to get as close as possible, so that even a kit could possibly be able to jump the length - if a kit could hunt that is... and you want to really bunch up your muscles, the more that you do that, the more power you will have, allowing you to jump farther, and land right where you want to!"

(I've got both Basilwhisker and Coalkit Open so here's both their starters)

Basilwhisker Open

Basilwhisker watched ad his sister took off. He sat and wondered what he might do today. He wanted to do something useful. He also pondered if he'd ever find a mate. He wanted to start a family of his own and as soon as possilble.

Snowdapple and Coalkit Open

Snowdapple and her kits each rose independently of each other fairly early in the morning and settled down outside the Nursery. Snowdapple captured Coalkit between her forepaws and began to bathe her. Coalkit let out little purrs as her mother's tongue stroked her fur.

Wishkit with Weaselkit

Wishkit nodded that Cedarfrost as a mentor would just be punishment for an apprentice. She didn't have time to strike back before Weaselkit was on her grabbing her tail. "Hey not my tail." She said turning to bat her on the head with her front paw. "Why don't you play nice. And leave my tail alone." She whined before trying to rip her tail away.

Gazekit with Wolfkit

"Yeah for real. I don't know that any of us are that lazy anyway." He laughed and looked at where their sisters were play fighting. "Have you noticed that Silverpaw has been showing Coalkit moves?" He asked curiously.

Poppypaw with Silversong

Poppypaw nodded vigorously she was ready to soak up any knowledge that her mentor was willing yo give her. "I think my muscles are just weaker so I need to get even closer." She said stalking to the rock. She scrunched down bunching her muscles and then she shot up and landed with her front paws on the rock. She turned beaming at Silversong. "I did it." She said with a wide smile.

Silversong gave a small jump of excitement. "Great job! And don't worry about not having as much muscle, you'll get there in no time, especially with the help of swimming!"
Silversong swished her stubby tail. "Lets try a couple more times with the rock, just to perfect things a bit more, then we can go after the real prey..." She paused, "I think that I can smell a mouse, a little over that way," she pointed with her tail. 
She stepped quietly careful not to step on a twig or leaf. When Silversong got a bit closer she dropped into a hunting crouch, lifted her tail so it was just off the ground, and crept forward. She was about a fox length away, the same length that she had been when stalking the stone earlier. Silversong jumped on the mouse and gave the killing bite.

She turned with the prey in her mouth and smiled at her apprentice. "Do you want to go back to practicing?... Or, if you want, we could go straight onto actual hunting?

Poppypaw with Silversong

Poppypaw smiled as she had made the jump well. She watched as Silversong went and killed the mouse. She aspired to be as good as her mentor one day. She looked at her mentor as she came back. "Good catch. I hope I can hunt that well one day." She said echoing her thoughts. She thought for a moment about her mentor's question before answering. "Why don't we keep hunting for real. I think I'll get better practice with real prey that moves and senses things than trying on a rock." She waited for Silversong's approval before padding off scenting the air.

Wishkit with Weaselkit

Wishkit smiled as Weaselkit's laughter caused her to let go of her tail. "Anything else is fair game as long as we don't grab tails." She said affirmatively. She was preparing to jump on Weaselkit while she stood on her back legs but the other kit fell before Wishkit could gather her thoughts to attack. Because of this she just threw herself at the other kit and yowled loudly.

Gazekit with Wolfkit

Gazekit nodded about serving the clan and there being more too it than hunting and fighting. "I think you've got to be proud of your clan and proud of the work you do to support them." He said with a big smile. He looked over to his sister and mother when Wolfkit did too and smiled. "I must say I'm worried that she may never talk. But at least we know she can still protect herself."

Basilwhisker Open. Briefly mentions Silverpaw

Basilwhisker was brought out of his thoughts by a nod from his apprentice. He watched as Silverpaw made his way over to Snowdapple and Coalkit. He had seen that his apprentice had shown the mute kit some battle moves. And that Silverpaw was an apt teacher. He made a note to praise him for that. He then went over to the prey pile and selected a vole to eat.

Snowdapple stopped bathing Coalkit as Silverpaw approached. "Hello Silverpaw" She purred. "You must want to play with Coalkit?" She asked releasing the squirming kit from her paws.

Coalkit squirmed and wriggled away from Snowdapple and ran at Silverpaw. She leaped and impacted with his side not quite making it all the way to his back. She hit the ground and was immediately on her feet. She batted at his paws and face.

Silversong gave a small nod, following Poppypaw. She stayed further behind, watching as her apprentice scented the air. She's doing well so far. Silversong swished her stubby tail. Poppypaw will make a fine warrior some day, I'm sure of it.
She trotted forward catching up to Poppypaw, but not getting to close, wanting to watch from afar.

Swan'Kit
4 moons
Swan'kit is a white fluffy she with long fur, blue eyes and ear tufts. Swan'Kit is a polite cat that is very respectful towards older cats preferring to talk with them instead of  kits her age. she's often judgy with other kits, she tells on them often, but befriends kits that are less noisy or hyperactive. she was found by the pond when she was three moons old, so far shes been with the clan for a moon.

Poppypaw with Silversong

As Poppypaw scented the air she caught a whiff of a vole over toward a stream nearby. She headed in that direction and smiled. She paused and measured the distance with her eyes before bunching her back legs. She shot forward and landed on the small prey animal near the edge of the water. She swiftly bit down on its neck and ended its life. She turned with it in her jaws to find Silversong. As she padded toward her mentor she looked proud.

Shadetooth with Amberpaw

Shadetooth laughed at the apprentice's bubbly attitude. "We are just gonna move around the Pond. The water is disturbed here and the fish will avoid this area for a while." He explained making his way around the Pond some ways.

Direwish (Open)

Direwish walked into camp with their mouth full of prey. It looked a little ridiculous the amount of prey they held compared to how scrawny their body was. They walked over to the prey pile and dropped in two voles, a squirrel, and five mice. They sighed and walked away. They were quite tired as they had been hunting for a few hours. With a twitch of their tail they moved off to the side of the camp. They thought of Blossomsong their adoptive mother. The queen that took care of them after their littermates and mother died in kitting. It was a horrible tragedy that not many in the clan knew of anymore. Maybe Pollentail and Elmstar did or even Cedarfrost and of course Turtlepool and Heronflight as well. A tear fell for Blossomsong as he had seen her one day and she never came back after drowning saving a young cat in the Pond. They were able to give her a vigil and burial but it didn't provide closure for Direwish. They became a little more closed off from the clan that day. Few can actually get them to say more than a few quick sentences but they had a soft spot for younger cats.


Ivysplash (Open)

Ivysplash stalked in from the forest with prey in his jaws. He had been frustrated by his attempts to train Shortcake but knew the young cat was not as prepared for hunting as clan kits were. All their games were based around hunting and fighting. He had gone hunting to destress and make sure the clan had enough food. He dropped the shrew and birds into the pile and picked out a vole to satisfy his hunger. He laid down outside the warrior's den to eat it.

Turtlepool (Open)

Turtlepool dozed in the dawnlight outside the elder's den. She peeked out of slitted eyes as she heard Ivysplash enter the camp. She wondered if someone might bring her a bite to eat but didn't ask anyone but rather continued to pretend she was asleep.


Frostfeather with Mothbreeze

Frostfeather settled into step next to Mothbreeze. She nodded at his statement. "It's crazy to think there are other clans right?" She asked as she smelled the herby and prey filled Meadow. "I can't believe today will be their first full day as a clan."
