Snowdapple had dropped the mouse and turnef around when she saw Smokeshade and Jaypaw come in with the poor kit. She was torn up inside at how small the kit was. Even after a hard (insert word for winter I cant think of) cats looked healthier than that. She suddenly got very angry at whoever left this kit to die on its own. All she could do was claw at one of the trees that made up the camp wall.

Pinepaw shook her pelt a little before getting into s fighting stance. She squeaked in surprise as Silverpaw struck her face with his paw. She moved forward to return the strike, but he moved out of the way. he did the same moves again and as soon as she saw an opportunity, she leaped onto him, holding him down to the ground.
Smokeshade hurriedly padded out to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a mouse. He dipped his head in greeting to Darkclaw and Basilwhisker before bounding back to the medicine den to give the prey to Poppyhawk. "This will amke you feel better." He purred as he set the mouse at the kit's paws.
Nutshine shrugged. "I'm not entirely sure." She admitted, hesitating before standing up. "But I'm sure we'll find out soon enough." She meowed, lying back down.
(Now I'm rooting for IvysplashxNurshine!)

Poppyhawk looked at the mouse. She took a small bite and then another. "Yum this tastes so much better than the bugs I eat" she purred.
Coalkit watched the two apprentices and got ready to see the belly rake they were supposed to be showing her.
"I'm sure we will. That kit looks smaller than Coalkit and the others." Ivysplash said.

Wishkit and Gazekit- with Weaselkit, Wolfkit, and Foxkit
Wishkit finally dozed off with the rest of the kits curled up close to her brother. She was still a little upset to be napping instead of playing but she napped anyway.
Gazekit continued to run and drool in his sleep
Coalkit-with Pinepaw and Silverpaw
Coalkit watched the two apprentices and got ready to see the belly rake they were supposed to be showing her.
Turtlepool- with Heronflight
Turtlepool slept happily in the sunlight and babbled about squirrels and kits as she did so. It was quiet around the old cat as her denmate slept too. She eventually woke up only to notice the others still asleep. She layed there quietly enjoying the sun while it remained. She got up and went to the prey pile to find a squirrel big enough to share that was still a little warm to the touch.
Frostfeather- with Sakura
"Its hard to explain. Its teaching someone who knows nothing at first or very little I guess. But it doesn't seem to be too hard as long as you break it down into steps. The apprentices do it all the time with kits." She said pointing out where Coalkit was with Pinepaw and Silverpaw.
Basilwhisker- with Darkclaw
Basilwhisker dropped his mice in the freshkill pile. His stomach growled and he thought once again about eating. He was completely oblivious to the goings ons in camp as he just felt so frustrated with himself. "Did you want to go back out hunting more or no. Its fine if you don't want to." He asked Darkclaw.
Ivysplash-with Nutshine
"I'm sure we will. That kit looks smaller than Coalkit and the others." Ivysplash said.
Poppyhawk-with Smokeshade, Icewhisper, and Jaypaw.
Poppyhawk looked at the mouse. She took a small bite and then another. "Yum this tastes so much better than the bugs I eat" she purred. Ahe took a few more slow but hungry bites. "My name is Poppyhawk and I'm 6 moons old." She wheezed.

Webwillow stalked into camp with a rabbit hanging from her jaws. She nodded to Basilwhisker and Darkclaw as she passed them and dropped the limp gray rabbit in the prey pile. She looked around for something to do now that she had been for a hunt already that day. She settled down right where she stood and looked like she was guarding the prey.

Sakura - Camp - Frostfeather
Sakura nodded, etching it out in the back of her mind. It probably wouldn’t be useful, but who knows. She hadn’t ever thought she’d join the clan, yet here she was. Suddenly, at the commotion near the medicine den, Sakura stood. The gray and white she-cat could just make out a small kit hanging from Smokeshade’s jaws before they entered the medicine den. “I wonder what that’s all about,” she mewed, before taking a hesitant step toward the den. Plenty of the other cats looked curious about the kit, but none of them were going in. Maybe I’ll just stay here for now. I can see what’s going on later, she thought, but somehow, she felt a pull.

Webwillow got up from the prey pile and decided to take a stroll through the territory. She started out near camp and walked in a low, slow running stream feeling the cool water and smooth stones against her paws. She followed the stream all the way to the clan border and passed the border before she knew it.

Ophelia was laying in a patch of sunlight, and she hissed to herself when she heard a cat coming. She got up and got into a hunting position, ready to pounce as soon as the cat came into sight. She slowly crept forward. Once she was in a spot she liked, she sat and waited for the cat to appear.

Webwillow got out of the water and scented the air. She shuddered when she noticed she was past the border. "Well mousedung." She said moving away from the stream. She didn't notice the scent of another cat though and walked toward where Ophelia was. She was trying to make it back to the border when she stepped directly into the clearing where the other she-cat was but was still oblivious to her presence.

Icewhisper (With Smokeshade and Poppyhawk)
Icewhisper was placing the herbs in front of the kit but looked up in surprise when it introduced itself. It sounded a lot like a warrior name but surely this kit knew nothing about the clan. She chose not to say anything about that for now though. When Smokeshade came back with the mouse Poppyhawk's attention was on the food anyway. "Thank you, Smokeshade," she meowed to the warrior. Then she turned to the kit again. "I know you're hungry, Poppyhawk, but try not to eat too fast," she told her with a slight smile. "No one will take your prey from you so you don't have to hurry." At the kit's words she shook her head. Bugs? Thank StarClan Smokeshade found her. She waited until Poppyhawk had finished her mouse, then she pushed the small bundle of herbs towards her. "You should eat those too. They're meant to give you a little more strenght. I know they don't taste good but I'm sure they can't be worse than the bugs you used to feed on." She glanced outside the den for a second. "If you don't complain too much I'll ask one of our warriors to fetch you a vole later. Who knows? Maybe it'll taste even better than the mouse just now."
Silverpaw (With Pinepaw and Coalkit)
Silverpaw grunted when Pinepaw leapt onto him. He had expected as much but he hadn't fully braced himself for it. Still, this was just what they wanted to show Coalkit. For a moment he squirmed, as if he tried to get Pinepaw off of him by wiggling around or pushing her off. Then he suddenly dealt quick and powerful swipes across Pinepaw's belly. Without using his claws and not so powerful to actually hurt her but still enough to force her off of him. He quickly jumped back to his paws and moved as if he wanted to deal some more paw swipes but paused mid-strike. Then he turned to Coalkit. "I'm not sure if you can practice this one by yourself but try to remember it anyway," he told her. "Normally you'll use your claws for it. Trust me, you don't want anyone to claw at your belly. So if your opponent pins you down you can use this to gain the upper paw." He thought for a moment. "Oh, but if you want to try something out then how about this?" The silver tabby ducked again, twisted around to roll onto his back and jumped to his paws again. "You saw me using this to get out of Pinepaw's reach before. Give it a try. Focus on getting the movements right first, once you got that you can start to work on your speed."
Weaselkit, Wolfkit and Foxkit (With Wishkit and Gazekit)
Weaselkit blinked, still looking sleepy, and sat up. With a quiet yawn she stretched herself and looked around camp. She saw Smokeshade picking up a mouse from the fresh kill pile and bringing it to Icewhisper's den. A lot of her clanmates were looking in that direction too. She shook herself and looked over at the other kits. Wolfkit grumbled to himself when he felt movement right beside him. He looked up to see Weaselkit getting to her paws. "Stop moving so much," he grunted. "Some of us are trying to sleep." He glanced at Foxkit to see if he was bothered by this too but the other tom didn't seem to have noticed anything. Then he saw what Weaselkit was looking at and slowly sat up too. "What's going on over there?" he whispered to his sister, trying to be quiet enough to not disturb the others.
Heronflight (With Turtlepool)
Heronflight had dozed off at some point when she was watching the kits and apprentices but the small commotion had woken her up. She just caught a glance of Smokeshade dragging a kit to the medicine den. After a few moments the warrior went to the fresh kill pile and picked something up. The old she-cat got to her paws but stayed where she was. Whatever was going on over there, the whole clan would know soon enough so there was no need for her to go check for herself.
Darkclaw (With Basilwhisker)
Darkclaw dipped his head to return Smokeshade's greeting and kept glancing towards the medicine den. He had almost forgotten about Basilwhisker when the other warrior began to speak. "Huh? Oh, sure." While he wanted to know what was going on with that kit Smokeshade had brought in he also didn't want to check it out right now. Icewhisper wouldn't want too many cats around the kit. "Anywhere specific you want to hunt?"
Adderheart (Briefly with Icewhisper and Poppyhawk)
Adderheart walked over to the medicine den but stopped outside. She didn't want to get in anyone's way. Instead she just offered to go out and get some moss so the kit could have some water to drink. At Icewhisper's nod she sprinted out of camp. After a while she came back and dropped off the wet moss near the kit. Then she went to sit near the fresh kill pile again.
Rainsong (Open)
Rainsong watched as Smokeshade brought some food and Adderheart went to fetch some water for the kit.
Ripplefur (Mentions Snowdapple)
Ripplefur shook her head and snorted at the sight of the kit. She felt sorry for it but more than that she felt disgusted with its mother. But while she didn't expect to be the only one to think that way she was surprised when she spotted Snowdapple. Ripplefur had never seen her so angry before. It's not even her own kit, she thought with admiration. She slowly went over to where the queen was but stood a few tail lengths away in case Snowdapple wanted to be left alone with her anger. |

Poppyhawk took the herbs and ate them making a face at the taste. She then took another bitevof mouse to wash them down. "Whats your name. His is Smokeshade and I think he called her Jaypaw." She said pointing at each cat in turn. She then drank from the moss the new cat had brought to her.
Coalkit first rolled to her back and kicked at the air like she was doing a belly rake. Then she rolled to her feet slowly her pudgy little kit belly slowing her down. She rolled to her back like Silverpaw had and tried to jump to her feet. She didn't quite make it and fell bsck to the ground.
Wishkit who was barely asleep when the others started talking woke up fully. "What are you guys talking about?" She asked her eyes wide with curiosity.
"Oh you're up" Turtlepool said as she watched her companion get up. "I wonder whats happening. But since we have to wait to find out share this squirrel with me in the meantime."
"I don't know maybe you pick this time. Since I chose the Meadow." Basilwhisker said still not noticing the commotion happening.
Snowdapple felt better after clawing at the tree. She then noticed Ripplefur and dipped her head to the warrior. "Sorry you had to see that." She said embarrassed beyond belief. She sat down and licked her fur flat from where it raised in anger.

Pinepaw jumped off him after he swiped her belly. Even though he wasn't using his claws, it still hurt a bit. She shook it off and chuckled as she saw Coalkit attempting the move.
Smokeshade flattened his ears when Poppyhaw mentioned eating bugs. How could someone just leave their kit to die. He thought to himself angrily.
