Thymeclan New members needed

As quiet as possible Darkclaw moved through the meadow, scenting the air and watching the area before him carefully. The moment he caught the scent of a vole he also saw movement in the grass. The tom paused for a moment and began moving towards it again. The vole seemed to have stopped again and Darkclaw used this opportunity to pounce on it. He quickly bit it before it had a chance to react and brought it to where he had burried his squirrel. Once the vole was buried too he went to look for more prey.

Silverpaw (With Pinepaw and Coalkit)

Silverpaw glanced around camp for a moment, wondering if there was some place to show off the Jump-and-pin. Then again that move wasn't easy to pull off, Silverpaw himself was still working on getting the hang of it. Pinepaw's suggestions made more sense. They were simple yet effective moves. "Why not both?" he said finally, referring to the belly rake and leap-and-hold. He swished his tail, eyeing Pinepaw carefully. "Show her how to leap-and-hold first, then I can show her the other move."

The kits (With Wishkit and Gazekit)

Weaselkit managed to get a few more bites of the rabbit before she couldn't eat more. Slowly she padded over to the other kits and lay down beside them. She nudged Wolfkit, who had eaten less then Foxkit and her, and mumbled "There's still a bit left." With a grin she added "I'm the oldest so you have to do as I say." Then she yawned and placed her head on her paws.

Wolfkit rolled his eyes at his sister. "You never act like it though," he grunted but he had to fight back a smirk. But since he didn't want to argue he slowly made his way to the rabbit and finished the rest in one or two bites. Then he went back to join the others, careful as to not distrub them.

Heronflight (With Turtlepool)

Heronflight was still watching the kits as she dozed off.

Adderheart

Adderheart kept glancing towards the two apprentices, wondering if one or both of them would go out with their mentors today. If it was just a hunting or border patrol she would probably ask to join them, mainly to learn more about the different ways to train an apprentice. She knew she still had much to learn until she would get one of her own but she hoped that once she was considered old enough she would get her chance.

Rainsong

Rainsong seemed to look at nothing in particular, his thoughts elsewhere. He still glanced at his clanmates every now and then in case he was needed for a hunting or border patrol.

Ripplefur

Ripplefur was carrying a fish as she walked back into camp. She quickly dropped it off at the fresh-kill pile. Then she went to find a warm and comfortable spot to sit down. She took a quick look around to see what her clanmates were doing. The elders and most of the kits were sleeping while the warriors were either chatting amongst each other or sitting by themselves. She snorted when she spotted her brother but that was all she did. Ripplefur had learned to tolerate and somewhat accept Rainsong's strange ways. If he enjoyed the patterns of the sunlight and the leaves, the shadows of the trees and whatever sounds the wind carried then that's just how it was. She didn't see what was so interesting about it but as long as he went out to hunt and patrol everyday she didn't care.

Basilwhisker had buried his mouse and was stalking a rabbit now. He stepped on a stick and cracked it scaring the rabbit off. He hissed and chased the animal down barely missing it as it escaped into its burrow. "Mousedung" he cursed as he left the area to look for prey elsewhere. He came across another mouse and killed ir easily. Before he buried it he paused to thank starclan.

Wishkit watched as Weaselkit lay down to nap and sighed. She would have to nap while the others did unless she wanted to play by herself. She went over to Gazekit and curled up in a tight ball next to him.

Turtlepool was now fast asleep in the sunlight. She purred in her sleep and mumbled about squirrels.

Basilwhisker was burying his second mouse when Darkclaw came through with his blackbird. "Nice catch." He said scenting the air. He headed off in a direction he hadn't tried hunting yet. He scented a squirrel and stalked it before pouncing and killing it.

"Its hard to explain. Its teaching someone who knows nothing at first or very little I guess. But it doesn't seem to be too hard as long as you break it down into steps. The apprentices do it all the time with kits." She said pointing out where Coalkit was with Pinepaw and Silverpaw.

"Its not too bad." Basilwhisker said looking at the squirrel. "Do we want to head back?" He asked startibg to dig up his mice. He was tempted to eat one but thought better of it. He sighed feeling like he still hadn't done enough yet today.

Jaypaw was excited to go hunting. Her belly rumbled as she thought about catching a mouse and eating it. She looked at Snowdapple expectingly, bouncing every so often.

Smokeshade nodded. "Come on Jaypaw!" He meowed happily as he padded out of camp, making sure that Jaypaw was following him. "I want you to tell me what you smell." He informed his apprentice as they were neared one of the borders

"Nice job!" Smokeshade praised her as she caught a mouse. He sniffed in deeply, but smelled something off. "Jaypaw. Follow me." He whispered as he followed the scent. The scent trail ended at a skinny starved kit. He gasped in surprise and grabbed the scruff of the kit gently. He couldn't smell the mother so he decided to take the kit back to camp. "Come on Jaypaw!" He meowed through a mouthful of the kit's fur as he started to bound back to camp.

Poppyhawk groaned. "Whats going on" she said in a low growl. She wasn't sure how but someone had picked her up and was carrying her off somewhere. She started to swing herself and tried to bat at the tom carrying her.

Poppyhawk growled weakly. "Poppyhawk. But what do you think you're doing carrying me off." She spat. She was 6 moons old and must have been hard to carry for the tom anyway.

Smokeshade crouched down to Poppyhawk's level. "Hi Poppyhawk. My name is Smokeshade, and I'm going to take you to a place where you'll be fed and cared for properly." he grabbed her scruff again and carried her off to camp. She wasn't very heavy, despite her size.

Darkclaw nodded and dug up his prey. "Maybe we'll find something else on our way back," he meowed upon hearing Basilwhisker's sigh but he didn't sound hopeful. "Anyway, we should drop off our prey first. Then we can decide on what to do next." He picked up his prey and led the way back.

Silverpaw stood still for a moment, eyeing Pinepaw carefully. Only when she was behind him did he turn around. He tensed up and moved slightly as if he was trying to do something to counter her attack. When it looked like Pinepaw was going to dart right he quickly changed his stance and had to resist the urge to do more than that. This wasn't a real training fight after all, he reminded himself. They were doing it to show Coalkit some of their moves. Silverpaw still winced when Pinepaw leapt onto his back. He staggered around for a bit and moved his head as if he was trying to bite or grab her, simply to show that Pinepaw was out of his reach. When Pinepaw finally jumped off he, too, turned to Coalkit. "Your opponent can't reach you when you do that," he told her. While there was an easy way to deal with this move he wasn't going to show that for now. Coalkit had to try it out first, after all.
Silverpaw let out a light purr at Coalkit's first attempt, crouching down a little so he seemed a bit smaller. "You'll learn better when you have a target. Here, try leaping onto me or Pinepaw."

Pinepaw jumped in surprise as Coalkit landed on her. She thought Coalkit would leap on Silverpaw for sure. She reached her head back to try to reach Coalkit, but couldn't. "Good job Coalkit!" She praised the kit as she continued to try to reach her. "Now we can show her the Belly rake! If you're up for it." She added with a hint of challenge in her voice.

Smokeshade flicked his tail for Jaypaw to follow him back into camp. Once in camp he rushed over to Icewhisper's den. "Icewhisper! Jaypaw and I found this kit in the woods by the border." He explained to the medicine cat once he set Poppyhawk down.

Nutshine watched as Smokeshade and Jaypaw ran into camp with a malnourished kit. "Ivysplash look!" She meowed, angling her ears towards Smokeshade and Jaypaw.

Coalkit beamed at the praise and purred. She then started to pretend to scratch Pinepaw on the back. Her tiny claws stayed sheathed but her paws worked hard at pretending to tear into the flesh of her enemy. She growled and batted at Pinepaw's face.

Poppyhawk growled. "How dare you take me away from where I was. I'm doing just fine. I just needed to hunt down some more food." She was lashing her tail and her body tipped over her paws slipping from beneath her. She yowled and got to her feet again snarling at the cats around her.


"What in Starclan's name." Was all Ivysplash could mutter as he watched the pair disappear into the Medicine den. "What do you think that's all about." Je asked Nutshine.

(I could see these two being a cute couple.)
