(Yeah take your time, we all know how hectic your work is)
Baerswipe felt bitterness well up within him. Like a black puddle that was steadily becoming a pond, from which he feared to touch lest he be stained forever.
Everything was wrong. Doeleap was dead, Wildmane was injured, and Swansong was... something. The creature that had done it all was still alive too, a threat against everything he’d known and loved.
Not only all that but the one bright thing he’d been working towards in Doeleap’s memory, the thing he’d be trying to use to turn away from the darkness was not his duty anymore.
“Walnutpaw.” He called softly as he spotted the apprentice, his weary gaze tracing over the young tom for any sign of injury. After the instinctive move to try and hold up the gator he’d lost sight of his apprentice... or his once apprentice. Bearswipe had to apologize, he’d gone and ruined things for both of them but maybe it was actually for the best. Whatever he was to become Bearswipe didn’t want that to stain the young apprentice.
Swansong stared at Flameheart’s body where it lay broken in the center of camp. Next to it was his mate who was broken just as bad in a different way. Her cold yellow eyes watched the pair but felt little to nothing stir inside herself, no anger, no despair, not even fear. She just felt empty. She wondered if she would always feel that way from now on.

hey! My name is dawnpelt, but you can call me dawn:)
Lionclaw arrived from the forest, her stomach felt hollow as she dropped her prey at the fresh kill pile oh great starclan- my catch is so small!. she realized as she gazed down at her mouse after looking at the other prey in the fresh kill pile. she guiltily searched the fresh kill pile for something smaller than her catch. She quickly spotted a small shrew and felt her mouth begin to water, and she quickly snatched the shrew up and padded across the clearing to enjoy it. Lionclaw saw a small grassy space at the edge of the warriors den that looked comfy and camly walked to it and crouched, wrapping her tail over her hanches. Lionblaze thanked starclan before finishing the small dusty shrew in large hungry bites.

Nightstar - - [30 Moons][Leader][Molly] Where. - - In Camp With - - Everyone. Time had passed on slowly for Nightstar, as she sat at the head of the clearing. The four bodies that lay peacefully in front of her had been groomed, covered in mint, and fur tangled in rosemary. Many of her clan had stayed in the clearing. All scattered about. Clanmates right up against each of the fallen, while others sat alone, at the edges. Pecanpaw looked so very tired, he'd spent most of the evening looking after his clanmates. Most of the warriors were covered in a poultice and cobwebs.
The leader had sat still as stone, snapping at Pecanpaw every single time the little tom tried to come and take care of her wounds. She wanted nothing to do with the healing. Not when her deputy lay dead to save her life. He had given up his one simple life, so that she didn't lose one of hers. One of the nine that she had been given. She had lives to lose. Her clanmates, they didn't. So when one of them died, to save her life, it haunted her.
As the moon rose, the dreaded moment came upon the leader. She'd been thinking about this moment all evening. Wishing in the very moment, that she didn't have to make this decision. Hoping her warriors would be satisfied with her choice. Praying to Starclan that she was about to name the right clanmate as her deputy.
After a hesitant breath, the calico molly got to her paws. She lifted her head to the sky, eyes searching out the stars. Her voice was focused as she spoke, though a heavy sadness rang with her meow. She stood with authority, forcing herself to take on her roles as a leader. No matter how hard it was, she must.
"I say these words before StarClan, that the spirits of our Warrior ancestors and the spirit of Flameheart, may hear and approve of my choice. The new Deputy of LeafClan is Lightfall. You have proven to be loyal to your clanmates as well as responsible. I know in my heart, you will be the best deputy that you can be."
As she finished the words, a beam of light seemed to fall from the moon, reflecting the ginger and gold molly. As if Starclan themselves, were approving of her choice. Amber eyes shone with awe, as she looked at her new deputy. Meeting her vivid blue eyes before giving her a respectful dip.
Applenose, who had been tucked close to Flameheart, lifted her head long enough to start the chant to welcome her new deputy. Eyes sparkled with a horrific grief, yet..She still called her new deputies name to the sky, her voice powerful. It didn't take more than a moment before others joined into the chant.
"Lightfall! Lightfall! Lightfall!"

Lionclaw heared her clanmates cheering around her as they gazed at there new deputy. Lionclaw gazed at the old deputy’s limp body in the center of the clearing, may starclan light your path lionclaw said silently with a stab of grief as she gazed at the dead deputy, then she finally turned her head to continue to watch the ceremony and began to chant the name of the new deputy along with her clanmates.

Brindlebriar// Thistletongue ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥
Brindlebriar let her voice ring as her leader announced the new deputy. Her heart went out to the leader of leaf clan as she announced the new deputy, no easy task after the death of a very loved cat. She pressed her side to her mate, and wrapped her tail around Brightkit who was trying her best to chant with the rest of the clan. Her little voice sounded more like a squeak than anything, making Bridnlebriars weary heart glow with pride. Brightkit was going to do wonderful things in this clan, she could feel it in her bones. Licking Thistletongues ear, she leaned over. "Do you think there is anyway we could relieve the stress off of Nightstar?" She whispered. It was apparent that her leaders world was dark. There was so much death recently, it hurt Brindle to think that Nightstar was the one who had to swallow it all.
Littleripple// Open to whoever would like to join her
>> Littleripple sat with her fluffy tai wrapped around her paws. She had been very quiet since the group returned from the battle. There were many emotions floating through the air, sadness, grief, heartache, anger, and now a slight sparkle of celebration as Nightstar named the new deputy. Lightfall would do good as Deputy, thought Littleripple couldn't help but think how hard it was going to be for Nightstar to accept the fact that Flameheart was with Starclan now. She knew of the struggles her clan was going through, she had plenty of her own growing up. Glancing over to her only remaining kit who was now grown and had a kit if her own, she couldn't thank Starclan enough for how well Brindlebriar turned out regardless of her mothers situation. Lowering her head in respect to the new deputy, she sat in the shadows.
Ashstream // Open to who ever
>> Ashstream stared at his leader. There was no sigh of happiness in her eyes at all, but rather a dull glow of pain. He wanted to rip the throat out of the water creature for hurting his clan so much, but he knew he would never stand a chance. "Lightfall! Lightfall!" He called once Nightstar finished. To his surprise, Applenose was the one who started the chant, and though her voice rang the clearest out of all the cats here, her grief hit him in waves as her swollen body pressed againt her dead mate. Fading out of the chant, he couldnt help but think how she going to deal with having what seemed like such a large litter without her mates help. Yes, Leafclan would take the kits and raise them along side the queen, but nothing like the support and love from a father. He wanted to go comfort the queen, but decided that now was not the right time.

Lionclaw scanned the clearing, quickly she spotted little ripple watching the ceremony looking concerned is she okay? Lionclaw thought to herself warily, lionclaw gazed at a pebble on the ground for a few heart beats, then got to her paws and padded to where little ripple was sitting. She sat down slowly and turned her direction. “Is something on your mind?” Lionclaw asked ripple tail in a low voice, a hint of simpathy in lionclaws tone, ever since flame tails death grief hanged over all the warriors of skyclan especially nightstar.

>> Littleripple looked up, her flat face wearing a little look of surprise. "I have a lot on my mind." She mewed quietly. "I am just not sure how Nightstar is going to process all of the death happening in camp right now, and my heart goes out to her for doing it alone." She mewed nicely, looking Lionclaw up and down. She hadnt seen much of the she-cat around recently, but Littleripple was really good at keeping to herself most of the time.

@💕dawnpelt💕// @brindlebriar Lionclaw dipped her head in understanding, “i agree” lionclaw paused as she casted a glance at the leader of leafclan. For the first time lionclaw seemed to notice that nightstar seemed tired, “nightstar should get those injuries checked out by a medicine cat” lionclaw commented, worry darkend lionclaws gaze as she stared at nightstar. Lionclaw looked back at little ripple. “my name is lionclaw... if you dont already know” she added after a few moments of silence.

Littleripple // @reedstar
>> Littleripple frowned. "Our leader will be the last one to get healed by the medicine cat. She must know that the rest of her warriors are okay before she gets to rest." She mewed, looking over beyond the other cat to watch her leader as she slowly jumped from the rock and greeted her new deputy. Her heart ached for her. She knew she was happy to have another cat by her side in leadership, but her heart ached with the loss of their loved deputy. "We will need Starclans help to get through this." She whispered.

>>Lionclaw nodded, and turned her attention back to nightstar just as her clanmates’s yowls where dying out. Lionclaw sat up puffing out her chest fur, waiting patiently for the ceremony to continue. she felt the cool silent leafbare breeze tug at her fur as she fluffed out her pelt i cant wait till newleaf she thought angrily before flicking her ear, as the breeze lightly tugged at her long orenge tabby fur.

Cobrastorm Warrior Camp Cobrastorm listened to Nightstar as she called a meeting and announced before everyone the new clan deputy joining in with the chant of Lightfall being named, she would make a fine deputy for the clan in the future. Shifting slightly on his paws still feeling a shot of pain in his shoulder, he looked over at the bodies of the four new fallen members of the clan all their deaths were heavy on everyone and he wished Applenose well for the future, her mate was gone and with their kits to be born soon, she would get support from everyone in clan. Cobrastorm turned his attention back to Nightstar, noticing her wounds were not treated knowing the calico she-cat didn't want to be fussed over yet until everyone else in the clan was taken care of, he would check in with her later to see how she was fairing after everything and give her a shoulder to lean on for some extra support through the dark times the clan was facing.
Twilightblaze Warrior Camp Twilightblaze sat near the warrior's den listening to Nightstar announced Lightfall as the new clan deputy and joined in with the cheering. She glanced over a her fallen clanmates that laid in the center of camp and noticed her brother, Fennelhawk beside Copperfall's body giving his last goodbye to the tom. The air in the camp was heavy with many emotions and this moment for the clan would pass but some would recover slowly after their loses and the wounds from battling against the water monster, the clan would be looking for any sigh for hope in the incoming days and with the naming of a new deputy was a right step even with the cause behind it was so sudden for everyone.

Palespirit - Open to anyone The cream molly had kept her kits in the nursery, looking toward the den entrance with a bleak, shadowed gaze, her ears perking up with she heard voices lifting. They were calling out a name... Lightfall. The she-cat must've just been named the new deputy of the clan, which meant it was already moonrise. The queen whispered the name a few times, not raising her voice as she didn't wish to wake any of the kits in the nursery or any queen who had happened to find a way to fall asleep during all of this grief.
Bluepaw - Open to anyone The small apprentice lay limp on his own a little ways from the rest of the clan, exhausted after having run around all day trying to help anyone and everyone who needed it. One eye was closed while the other stayed open, watching his clanmates as grief gripped his chest in its horrid grasp and refused to let go. He didn't know what would happen next, he didn't even any ideas of what would happen, all he knew was that he had to stay strong and that the clan would need more help now than evr before.

Vixentail warriorVixentail sat silently a few tail lenths away from lionclaw, while she listened for the voice of nightstar. Slowly she drifted into her thoughts as she gazed at all the injured warriors and apprenticeses. Her heart ached from the loss of the old strong deputy. Slowly she lifted her gaze back to nightstar, listening intently for anymore comments from the mourning leader.(hey Zz do you want vixenclaw to enteract with bluepaw?)

Vixenclaw tuned her attention to bluepaw. Vixenclaw felt a pang of simpathy for the blue apprentice as she padded to him, but before she got to her, him tripped on a stone, scrambling to regain her balance. She lifted her head embarrassed, for her clumsiness. “Hello! How’s everything going lately” she asked worryingly, as she gazed at her tired clanmate. Zz

Dawn, bluepaw isn't injured. He was wasn't part of the battle control. He's exhausted because he was one if the main ones in camp who helped care for clanmates, retrieve prey and water, and helping with everything else that was needed done after the wounded cats returned))

[*Timeskip- One week after Gator attack and the four deaths in Leafclan*] [If anyone else wants to rp with me, or wants to rp other characters, please write a new starter and tag me in it. I will gladly try to respond. Remember, we are skipping a week into the rp, after the gator attack. Warriors will still be healing. Nightstar is sick and has an infection. Lightfall is the new deputy and in charge. Walnutpaw and Snowpaw are without mentors until Nightstar gets better. Applenose is a week late having her kits. :3]
Nightstar - - [30 Moons][Leader][Molly] Where. - - Leaders Den With - - Pecanpaw-(Cobrastorm.?) [Taiyou ] Fever shook the barely conscious leader as she lay in her nest in the leader's den. Her long calico fur was ruffled and ungroomed. The day after the dreadful gator attack, the sickness that had developed in Nightstar's chest, finally broke through to the point she couldn't hide it. The wound in her hind leg from the gator's teeth had become infected. The now very sickly molly was fighting two battles at once. Whatever sickness that had claimed the lives of Copperfall, Taloneye and Amberblaze. As well as an infection that had developed due to the leaders refusal to be treated for multiple days.
She'd returned to her nest after helping bury her fallen friend and deputy, and hadn't left it since. Pecanpaw and Dewdrop had insisted that she rest and stay in her den upon finding her sick. They'd demanded that Lightfall take control of all duties and decisions and only allowed Cobrastorm in to see the sickly leader. Of course, even Pecanpaw wasn't happy about letting the tom near her, afraid he would fall ill as well. Yet, the tom was the only one that the stubborn calico would listen to. Not to mention the many moments the leader would call out for her closest friend in her restless sleep.
Now she simply lay, breath coming in heavy wheezes. Her fever had taken control of her body and she shook like a leaf in the breeze. Amber eyes had become clouded and Nightstar often seemed confused and lost. Many moments the last couple of sunrises, she had been speaking out to clanmates that were dead. Leaving many to worry that she was going to lose her very first life before she got better. Some of the members of the clan believed the only way for her to fight the sickness and come back stronger, was to lose a life. All the clan knew, was they had lost many clanmates, lost a horrible battle, and their leader was now sick and not around. It left many lost and worried.
Sweetberry-- [40Moons][Warrior][Molly] Where - - Medicine Cats Den. With - - Skunkpaw. [~Skyblaze~ ] - -
After almost two weeks of not having her apprentice around, Sweetberry had grown a bit lost. She'd been looking forward to training the little molly. The warrior had been devastated when she learned of what happened to Skunkpaw. She hadn't even had the chance to spend one day with the apprentice. After Doeleap's death, she had given the little black and white molly a moment to recover, leaving her to herself. Now, she wished she had tried. Tried to push through the fog that clouded the young cats mind on that dreadful day.
Pushing her way into the Medicine cats den, the cream and white warrior padded up to Skunkpaw's nest. Now that the apprentice was out of the danger zone and into a long recovery phase, Morningdew had finally left her side to return back to her shared nest with Icestorm. She'd been fussing over the injured tom for days. Insisting that he not leave his nest unless to use dirtplace. The tom had sprained his shoulder and it still caused him lots of pain, but he was clearly feeling lost being on nest-rest.
Sitting beside her apprentices nest, Sweetberry gently poked at Skunkpaw. She softened her blue eyes as she looked over the slowly healing marks along the little black and white apprentices flank. Her leg looked awful still, but Pecanpaw and Dewdrop had taken good care of it. Wrapping it up and barely letting the apprentice move. Yet, two weeks in, they'd finally agreed to let Sweetberry help the little molly out of the den for a walk, if they promised to be careful and keep her leg from touching the ground.
"Hey, Sleepy. Would you like to go for a small walk today.? See something besides these den walls.?" Scorchstreak- - [45 Moons][Warrior][Tom] Where - -Outside Apprentices Den. With - - Rainpaw [Brindlebriar ] Since the gator attack, many warriors and even apprentices had been taken off of warrior duties. That left the remaining clanmates to pick up the slack. Lightfall had been focusing more on hunting, combining border patrols with the hunting patrols. Training was done on patrols as well. It was quite rare to escape the camp with your apprentice before being pulled to a patrol of some sort.
Of course, Scorchstreak understood why this had to happen. Yet, he hadn't been out of camp with Rainpaw in the last week. Since the day of the gator attack, actually. The russet somali had finally decided to escape with his apprentice before anyone could ask him to do anything. He made a mental note to spend some time with Rainpaw, let him scout the territory and lead his mentor hunting. And then, when they got back, they could assist the elders and injured cats with their nests and wounds/cleaning.
"Psst. Rainpaw. Are you awake.? Let's get out of camp and do a little training." The hiss escaped the warrior as he tried as quietly as possible to get his apprentices attention. Peeking his head into the apprentices den, his orange eyes sought out his little dusty colored apprentice.
His mind wondered back to the week before, when his brothers body had been brought back to camp. As well as his aunts body carried to rest with Taloneye and Copperfall. So much death had happened and it bothered him deeply. It bothered him even more that he had lost Flameheart, when he had barely gotten along with the tom. Of course, they loved each other. Yet, they had bickered constantly. A sibling rivalry that no one could break. Yet, they had held an upmost respect for each other. Now, Scorchstreak had worked hard to pick up the slack in camp from others that couldn't help. As well as attending to his grieving mother and the very pregnant Appleye. The queen had lost the love of her life, and her kits were many days overdue. Yet, she hardly moved. Sadness locking on to her heart. She seemed to be forgetting the little lives inside her. And they seemed to sense her hesitation in having them.
Morningdew-- Icestorm [20 Moons][Warrior][Molly] Location - -In the Warriors Den With - -Icestorm --Anyone. [Robinbreeze .]- -(Maybe one of your warriors can deal with the mates. Convince Morningdew to go on a patrol or something.] "Oh, will you sit still and quick acting like a kit."
"Now, Go fuss over someone else, Morningdew. I'm fine. Dewdrop said I was allowed to stretch my leg when I'm ready."
"And I'm saying you're not ready. You can't even get a good nights sleep. If you strain it more, you'll be off your duties even longer."
"Don't you have Skunkpaw to check on.?"
"Nope. Sweetberry is dealing with Skunkpaw. You're stuck with me. Now sit still so I can clean your back, you big mouse-brain."
Morningdew was scolding her mate as if she was her children. The silver molly had been fussing over the large tom since he'd come home from battle. Quite the change from the distant and snippy mother that had fussed over her daughter a week prior. It was quite clear from the annoyance in her eyes, she was having a harder time controlling her mate than she was her kits. Icestorm simply just huffed and with a flat look on his face, the tom sat still while Morningdew groomed his fur flat.
Being off of his warrior duties since the battle had made him quite the grump. He had become restless and claustrophobic. Especially since their were others more injured than him. With many of his clanmates off of their duties. As well as having their leader down and multiple clanmates dead, he felt bad. So much weight was left on the healthy warriors. When his mate wasn't fussing, she was usually out patrolling and hunting. Many times, he'd catch her cleaning nests and helping to assist in battle training for apprentices, which was often done in camp these days.
Speckledflame- - [80 Moons][Warrior/Elder][Molly] Where - -Hunting in the moorland-between forest and farmhouse. With - - Jadepaw. [nimble ] (I'm gonna have Speckledflame be the mentor to Jadepaw since Leopard hasn't been on to rp their character.) Crouching over the dead body of a small rabbit, Speckledflame bowed her head and a soft murmur of thanks came from her. Her breathing was a little off and she sat down, licking the blood from her maw. Her age was finally catching up to her, but the white and orange molly insisted on continuing her warrior duties. She'd slowed down a bit, and become a bit achy, especially in the mornings. Her left eye was starting to become faded and she noticed others would have to speak up for her to hear them a bit better.
Since the death of not only her sister, but also her son, Speckledflame had grown quite depressed. Spending a lot of time alone. She continued to hunt when she was needed, and tried to patrol. Yet, she would often slink behind, head down. A fuzzy sadness had clouded over her, and she couldn't seem to shake it.
Most nights, Scorchstreak would try and coax her to eat and join in with the clans chatter. Though, after a couple mouthfuls, the warrior would just slip away to her nest and go to sleep. No one blamed her. But she was sure that she was letting them down. Some days, she wanted to just retire. Be one less to worry about. Yet, with many injured and Nightstar sick, they needed all the paws they could to help.
With a soft sigh, Speckledflame got to her paws and picked up her prey, looking around with orange eyes. She'd brought Jadepaw out with her and was wondering where the youngest apprentice had gotten off to. The two had left camp before dawn, with the hope that more prey would be stirring early in the morning.
Thistletongue - - [55 Moons][Warrior][Tom] Location - -Walking around camp. With - - Brindlebriar & Brightkit. (Hey Brindle. Ren hasn't been on in awhile, so I think we could share ownership of little Brightkit. What do you think.?) [Brindlebriar ]- - Thistletongue casually walked around the camp, green eyes narrowed. His ears were flicked up and he seemed to be walking with a purpose. Of course, he was simply just amusing his little daughter, who was crouched in the very edges and shadows of camp, watching her father with bright and mischievous eyes. As the large brown tabby slunk past her hiding spot, the little caliby molly jumped out. Large white paws rammed into her fathers side as she hit him in a mighty leap.
With a fake gasp of alarm, the warrior rolled to his side, bringing his daughter with him. The two wrestled for a moment before the tom went limp, Brightkit on his stomach. Tiny claws pricked her fathers chest as she pretended to be mighty. Letting his tongue hang out and his eyes roll, the tom pretended to be dead.
"HA. GOT YOU." The ferocious growl escaped from the kits maw, eyes glowing with happiness. In turn, Thistletongue gave a mighty laugh. "That you did, Mighty little warrior. You'll be one of the toughest and bravest cats that Leafclan has ever seen."
Walnutpaw - - [9 Moons][Apprentice][Tom] Location - -Warriors Den With - - Bearswipe. [Fallenleaves ]- - Slipping out of the apprentices den, the brown somali headed swiftly to the fresh-kill pile. The apprentice had been without his mentor for a week now. Nightstar too sick to give him another mentor, though..He didn't want a new one. So, all the warriors had taken turns in "training" him.
His first mentor, Copperfall, had passed away the same day that the battle with the gator had happened. Bearswipe, his second mentor, had broken his leg in the battle with the gator. It had left the young tom feeling a bit defeated and sad. He'd spent almost every morning and every evening with his mentor. Sharing a meal with him while discussing skills he might need or things he had learned or worked on that day.
Now, he picked up a thick vole and a mouse and headed for the warriors den. Slipping into the den, he simply ignored the bickering Morningdew and Icestorm and headed for Bearswipes nest. Settling down in front of the warrior, he offered the vole and mouse, deciding to let the tom choose what sounded good to him.
"Good morning, Bearswipe. How'd you sleep.? How's your leg feeling.?"
Almondpaw- - [9 Moons][Apprentice][Molly] Where - -Training to fish.? With - - Twilightblaze. [Taiyou ] Pushing her way out of the apprentices den, Almondpaw paused to give her fawn colored fur a quick grooming. Once her slightly longer fur was flattened and the moss had been removed, she searched for her mentor. Once spotting her, orange eyes bright, she headed towards the tawny and black tabby. Greeting her mentor with a respectful dip, before touching her rose colored nose to the warriors.
"Hey, Twilightblaze. Can we work on my fishing today.? I know we've been focusing on hunting and border patrols, but do you think we could get away from patrols and go by the lake.? I know they want us to keep away from the water..But I feel like we'll be safe by the lake and not the streams. Rainpaw said that Scorchstreak took his fishing."
Eyes hopeful and wide, the molly was the most active and happy than she'd been in days. A shadow had fallen over the camp, and even the rambunctious and positive somali had become quiet and sad. Yet, today, she seemed back to herself. At least slightly. Now she just gazed at her mentor with the sweetest, most pleading eyes. Hoping she would take her.
Frostpaw - - [7 Moons][Apprentice][Molly] Location - -Apprentices Den. With - - Sandpaw [~Skyblaze~ ]- - Curled tightly around the sandy colored tom, blue eyes watched him softly. She purred, nuzzling his white maw before letting out a slight yawn. The usually calm and collected molly had worried over Sandpaw since the Gator attack. Knowing he had hit his head quite hard. She'd insisted he take it easy, hoping it would heal him faster. Since he had saved her life, she'd grown such a fondness for her denmate. Most couldn't believe the competitive duo had grown so close.
After her maw closed from her yawn, the black furred molly sat up, grooming her long and feathery fur. She wrapped her bushy tail over her paws, waiting patiently for Sandpaw to wake. Both their mentors had been busy. Nightstar sick and fighting an infection and Cobrastorm spending as much time with her as he could. So much had been left unresolved since the Gator attack.
Nightstar had become den-bound the day after the attack, leaving the newly named deputy in control. Frostpaw had been lacking in training since Nightstar had been calling out for the tom, leaving Pecanpaw and Dewdrop no choice but to pull the tom to the leaders den. Sandpaw was off his apprentice duties due to his head injury and Nightstar being unable to mentor him. Snowpaw was without a mentor and a new one wasn't named before Nightstar fell ill. So Lightfall had taken over her training until Nightstar could choose a new one for her. As well as Walnutpaw, though every warrior took turns with the somali tom after the apprentice had gotten angry over the idea of losing Bearswipe as his mentor. Applenose had yet to give birth to her kits. Which was causing concern between the queens and medicine cats. Many were still out and injured and it left the uninjured going out hunting and patrolling multiple times a day. Everyone was exhausted.
Pecanpaw- - [9 Moons][Medicine cat Apprentice][Tom] Where. - - In Leaders Den. With - - Nightstar--(Cobrastorm.) [Taiyou ] Cleaning Nightstar's wounded leg, Pecanpaw sighed softly. Her leg was starting to heal, but the infection raged on, fueled by the sickness that already consumed the calico molly. Plastering a poultice on his leader, before wrapping her leg, Pecanpaw worked swiftly. The leader was in and out of consciousness. That morning, she'd been staring off with clouded eyes, mumbling about Flameheart and Duskmeadow. She seemed to be arguing with them, as if she was seeing her ancestors before her.
Nudging the leader softly, the little medicine cat pushed a bundle of herbs to the molly. "Come now, Nightstar. Lets eat your herbs. It'll help you get better." When Nightstar stared at Pecanpaw with confusion, she simply turned away after a moment. Turning desperate hazel eyes on Cobrastorm, he silently begged the warrior to convince the molly to come take her herbs. He had been the only one to convince her to eat the herbs to get better, as well as let the medicine cats clean and wrap her wounds. On her most confused and lost moments, he was the only one that could bring her back to the clan, the present.
Snowpaw - [7 Moons][Apprentice][Molly] Where. - - In Camp. With - - Lightfall. [~Skyblaze~ ] [Thought maybe you would be up to posting a starter between Snowpaw and Lightfall. After whatever else you want her to do as the deputy. (I have her taking over Snowpaw's training since Flameheart died and Nightstar is too sick to assign mentors.)

Applenose - - [40 Moons][Queen][Molly] Where. - -In Nursery. With - -Anyone. [ /] [Open to rping the very pregnant and heartbroken molly with anyone. She's just been laying in the nursery. shut down from the world since Flameheart's death. Her kits are a week late.]

Bearswipe had been staring blankly at the bramble wall of the medicine cat den doing his best not to listen in on the private conversations the other cats within held. A buzz had started between his ears, to fill the silent emptiness that were his thoughts of late.
At the rustle of leaves that signaled someone was entering, Bearswipe glanced up to spot Walnutpaw. A small smile warmed his barren expression and his eyes lit up. The young tom had been a bright spot in the gloom and he looked forward to his every visit. Trying not to think too hard on how Wildmane and Swansong rarely did. The four of them had once been a clan within a clan, now he felt like his sisters were strangers. Islands parted by the deep fathoms of bitter sadness.
“Walnutpaw!” The big tom greeted and eyed the prey the apprentice had brought. “Did you get to try the move I recommended? I got the chance to talk with Wildmane, did show you and Sunflowerpaw how to do it?”
———
Wildmane padded along the curve of the cliffs, her gaze on the thrashing waves below and the storm brewing on the horizon. How long would the fragile peace hold? Their leader was sick, their deputy an outsider, their clan weak with loss... Wildmane wanted to be strong and that burning desire paired with the flame of rage in her gut had her up at dawn with her apprentice. They’d done stretches and gone through a few battle moves to warm themselves against the chill of morning. Now she wanted her apprentice to learn fishing.
The thought of taking her to the stream made her pelt crawl with ants so instead the black molly had steered them towards the ocean.
“We’ll have to pass by the badger sets, stay close to me and we’ll be alright.”
Wildmane hadn’t taken to being a mentor as well as Bearswipe or... Doeleap. Yet she was doing her best and often bristled whenever Swansong gave her and Sunflowerpaw’s training a dismissive snort.
The rage in her gut built into fury at the thought of her pale sisters, pristine and untouchable. As if nothing so far had even slightly ruffled her pelt. Wildmane often had visions of raking her claws through that perfect fur, to watch as it was stained with blood.
Gritting her teeth, Wildmane gave herself a good shake and forced her bristling fur to relax.
———
Swansong watched her own tail, feathery and thick, curl and uncurl. The white molly lay on her side in a sun warmed patch of grass, head propped up and her body curled till her tail almost touched her nose.
So much time had passed that birdsong had filled the trees around her, the creatures no longer disturbed by her presence. She sat and listened, enjoying the air. So different from what awaited her at camp. Earlier that morning her sister had torn out of the warriors den like her tail was on fire, disturbing the beautiful molly’s dreamless sleep. Aggravated Swansong had left to find peace elsewhere, that just so happened to be here in the forest.
Prey awaited her, buried under leaves and dirt, a trail all the way back to the camp. She smirked as she thought of Wildmane’s irritated expression. The little black molly had always hated how natural Swansong was a being a warrior, from fighting to hunting, leaving Wildmane to struggle to stay afloat in her wake.
Doeleap’s disappointed expression sprang to life behind the she-cats yellow eyes. Leaves scattered as Swansong aggressively yanked her tail away from her face and flopped back on the grass.
(Swansong is open to anyone in the woods)
(Pinecrest & Sharppaw are open to anyone in camp! I don’t remember who Sharppaw’s mentor is but they could have an interaction!)

( ♥𝔉𝔯𝔬𝔰𝔱ℜ𝔬𝔰𝔢♥ ) Waspstrike gave a muffled groan as the sounds of bickering streamed into his ears. The smell of rabbit disappeared as he slowly slid out of sleep. The argument became clear as soon as the yellow and black tom opened his eyes. Morningdew and Icestorm were at it again. Waspstrike listened to the two as he stood and stretched, trying to think of any way he could resolve their problems. Looking around the den for other warriors, he noticed Bearswipe and Walnutpaw chatting a ways away from the bickering, but they seemed to want to stay out of the arguement. Waspstrike wanted to do the same, but someone had to interfere. Padding over to the younger warriors, the tom dipped his head in greeting, “Morningdew, let Icestorm get some fresh air. It won’t do him any harm. And you should take a break yourself. You seem like you’ve hardly stopped running between Icestorm and Skunkpaw,” he mewed, settling his haunches a tail-length from the two. ( Fallenleaves ) Cinderblaze lay in the shade of the camp, finishing off a plump mouse. She, like all the free warriors, had gone on extra patrols to fill in for the warriors who were too wounded or sick to help. She tried her hardest to also make time for her apprentice, Sharppaw, but it felt to her that more often than not she was leaving him for another patrol. Glancing around to try and get a glimpse of the white and ginger apprentice, she noticed him not far away. By the looks of it, he needed something to do. Putting a smile on her face, Cinderblaze stood and padded toward Sharppaw. “Hey Sharppaw,” she called as she walked, “Let’s go out and hunt near the farmhouse. I think we both need a break from camp, eh?” (Sakura is open to anyone. She’s around her den.)

(ha my new avi is lilyfire)
Jadepaw was walking back towards her mentor, Speckleflame. She had two mice in her mouth. She knew it wasn't much, but anything would help the clan. She tried not sigh, and did her best to smile at her mentor as she dipped her head in greeting.
It had been weeks since the battle, and Jadepaw knew it would be the first of many in her lifetime. Tears welled up, and she blinked them away.
(sorry its so short, in a bit of a writers block)
