This is sort of like a plot shop, but just a bunch of random independent starters. Obviously there is no previously set plot and I purposely left these very open in a way it could go any direction, I thought it would be fun to have a bunch of different things where we can improvise and build a plot as we go along. You can claim one by just posting a reply or you can create another thread with your reply and tag me if youโd rather have a separate page. These could also potentially be group roleplays if you think it would be better than a 1x1, like I said Iโm willing to do anything XD I have just recently got back into roleplays, so Iโm not very advanced but I will try my best to have decent replies.
1. w/ manatee & nofoxgiven Blakely Robinson was usually well put together and shining, but she was a mess right now. Her make-up was looking pretty rough, with tear-streaks of mascara running down her cheeks. Sheโd tried to wipe it off in the bathroom but if anything it only smeared it even more. At least her hair was in tact, the long dirty blond waves pulled into a high pony tail. Also, her outfit was nice today, so at least that was going well. She was sure people were staring at her as she walked down the dorm hallway. She ignored them, her head high and walking with a sense of purpose. She wasnโt going to let anyone get to her โ what she was doing or how she was feeling was obviously none of their business. Reaching the dorm room 209, she knocked loudly on the door and waited expectantly, her lips pursed in a thin line and her eyes narrowed as she waited for the door to be answered. After a few seconds she impatiently knocked again but louder and within a couple moments she was basically pounding on the door. โHey!โ She said loudly, turning the doorknob to check if it was unlocked. It wasnโt. โI know youโre in there! Come on, you promised me! Why!?โ She called through the door.
2. Quinn Miller always thought parties in the movies were exaggerated โ they werenโt actually that crazy and there wasnโt really alcohol and dancing and music blasting. Still he was here at his first party, trying to squeeze his way through the crowd of dancing and yelling people, hardly able to hear over the sound of the song playing throughout the large house. โExcuse me, sorry.โ He mumbled every time he bumped into somebody, his face flushed red with embarrassment. Finally, the young man made it outside, sighing as he ran a hand through his messy red curls and adjusted his gray button up shirt. He found himself in the back yard, where there were still some people hanging out but definitely not as many as inside. Much easier for him to handle. Shuffling his feet, Quinn leaned against the railing of the open porch and glanced around. He felt far to awkward to start a conversation and he was sure nobody wanted to engage with him, so he was doomed to stand in socially awkward silence. Probably until he had enough and decided to head home.
3. w/ red raven It was late Saturday night. Probably 2 or 3 in the morning, with a nearly full moon in the clear sky. A chill was present in the night air, reminding everyone that fall was upon them and the weather was getting colder. Halloween was right around the corner and then it would be Thanksgiving and Christmas and then the stores would be selling chocolate hearts on January 2nd. Holidays were stupid, meaningless scams to get money anyway. A young woman, barely 20 years old, walked down the dark side streets with hurried steps and a lowered head. Her hood was pulled up over her light brown hair, casting a shadow over her face. She obviously didnโt want to be noticed or bothered, but perhaps looking like a sketchy creep in the ally in the dead of night wasnโt the way to go. It wasnโt like she had anywhere to go though, as she was currently homeless and jumping from place to place. If she stayed still for too long, sheโd be discovered anyway, and that wouldnโt be good. Her stomach growled and she remembered she hadnโt eaten since midday, so she made her way to the convenient store a couple streets over. She was starving. Pushing open the door, she avoided eye contact with the cashier and looked around. It was rather large for a corner store, actually having more stuff than it looked like from the outside. They had a section of cheap microwave meals, probably to cater to the kids at the nearby college. In fact, she was wearing a hoodie over her leggings with the college logo printed on it โ she wasnโt a student there, she just felt like it would help her blend into the area. Since she unfortunately didnโt have access to a microwave at the moment and the store didnโt have any of their fresh deli sandwiches and wraps made this late, she had to deal with some snacks. Making her way to the snack aisle, she scanned the shelves before grabbing two large bags of combos. She eyed the skittles but decided against it, heading over to the coolers to grab an apple juice. She took the largest bottle they had so it would last her longer, then turned around and walked towards the front of the store to pay. At the last second she decided she did want the skittles after all and made a detour to grab them. With her hands full, she walked to check out, but as she exited the aisle the large bag on her back bumped into the shelves and she lost her footing as some of her items fell to the floor to disrupt the quiet store. The bag of skittles burst open, rainbow pieces scattering in every direction. โOh, shoot!โ She gasped, freezing and staring at the mess with a dumbfounded expression. โCome on, how does a bag of candy break when you drop it?โ She muttered her thoughts aloud, annoyed. Now she would have to help the poor clerk clean it up.
4. w/ inky Beck Peters grabbed onto the others hand and basically dragged them in the opposite direction down the sidewalk, pausing beside an ally before turning down the thin rocky road. "Alright, listen." He looked around quickly as if he was scared that somebody was eavesdropping or watching them, his dark brown eyes were narrowed and his brows furrowed. "I'm sorry for grabbing you like that. I know it was sudden, you have no idea what's going on and I'm sure you're rightfully upset." He was looking everywhere but directly at them, hesitating before he continued. "There's no easy way to say this... I may have accidentally put a curse on you." He finally made eye contact. He had a completely straight face, hopefully making it clear that he was being one hundred percent serious. He continued in a hurried voice. "I'm not joking. And please, don't tell anyone. For your safety and mine."
( I will continuously update as I come up with more ideas. Also, they could easily be duplicated )

(Hey! I'm Inky! I really liked the last plot so here is my reply ) As she was dragged in all different directions the girl was trying to get whoever this was to let go. He'd literally bumped into her earlier and they'd laughed it off and now he was here dragging her into some alley. Just what kind of crazy person did that? Finally, the red-haired girl ripped her wrist out of his hand, she opened her mouth to yell at him anger written all over her face. He was acting so weird, but she listened he seemed genuinely concerned about, something. A curse? Wait, what? Her eyes widened and quickly turned into a harsh glare. "What do you mean you cursed me?!" Gema said stepping back. "How do you accidentally curse someone? Who were you trying to curse?!" Her voice was a whisper, but a loud one as she snapped at him.

(( yay! hello :3 )) Beck visibly flinched. He knew she was going to end up mad, but her anger still upset him. "I'm so sorry." He mumbled, looking towards the ground and shuffling his feet a bit awkwardly. He could clearly see the hex mark hovering above her head, only visible to him, which meant that she was the one he cursed. "I was trying to put a curse on my ex. I know, it's a petty thing to do, but the curse was for 'the last person who did me wrong'. Apparently, bumping into you classified as doing me wrong? I don't really know, okay?!" He was definitely freaking out, still looking every which way to make sure nobody walked into their conversation. "Okay, but there's more. The problem is... I don't know exactly what the curse inflicts onto you or how to undo it. But it can't be good." He braced himself for her to yell at him some more. See, he bought the witchcraft book at an antique store without knowing that it was real at first. Nothing he used in the book worked, until he found out that he had to pledge himself as a warlock before he could actually use the spells inside. That was hard enough to accomplish in itself, but he quickly found that actually using the magic was much much harder than he anticipated. Everything was so confusing and hard to follow. And now he didn't know how to reverse this poor strangers curse.

(How are you doing today ) Her eyes softened as this random dude shifted nervously in front of her, she felt a little bad for yelling at a total stranger, but of course, he did put a curse on her. Gema frowned for a moment, tapping her foot a bit. She folded her arms over her chest and rubbed her forehead. "Okay. so your telling me, you cursed me, but you meant to curse and ex and you have no idea what it is going to do to me?" She let out a deep sigh, "Serves me right for not giving this back." She held out a wallet she'd picked it up after he'd dropped when he bumped into her. "I was going to give it to the staff for the lost and found. But then you grabbed me." The girl sighed, "So. What do we do, cause honestly I don't feel like finding out what this curse is going to do to me, and honestly it sounds a little crazy, like where did you even learn how to curse someone? Isn't that like in movies?" Honestly, she didn't know what to do or if this guy was messing around or just a crazy person. She kind of at this point was hoping for crazy since she really didn't want to be cursed.

Beck raised his eyebrows, hesitating before snatching the wallet from her outstretched hand and stuffing it into his pocket. So that's where his wallet went. For a moment, he thought she must have pick-pocketed him when they bumped into each other, but then she explained how she was meaning to turn it in. He nodded slowly. "Well, apparently the judges of right and wrong thought you were stealing something from me. Maybe now that you fixed it the curse will reverse, like you had to make up for it or fix it?" He suggested, pausing to stare at her. He just stared, waiting to see if the symbol would go away, but it was still there marking her as cursed. After several moments where nothing was happening he sighed, looking away and throwing his hands up in exasperation. "I don't really know!" He said, shaking his head as he tried to get himself to think straight. He decided he might as well tell her the story. "So... I found this old book. And it was only ten dollars and looked pretty interesting, so I grabbed it, but I didn't think it was real, you know?" Maybe he would think of a way to reverse it as he explained it out loud. "And it turns out to be a book of, like, witchcraft or some stuff. But the spells are like weird languages or chants with little descriptions in English about what they do. And, get this, none of them worked. And then guess what I found!" He paused, giving her a pointed look, though he didn't expect her to have an answer. So he went on. "On one of the pages was a little clause about only true witches being able to perform the spells, and a ceremony about how to pledge your life to become one. I thought, you know, why not? And then after that it just worked. But they are so hard to do it right! Anyway, the one I accidentally did on you said something like revenge feels good, curses to the last person who did you wrong. Blah, blah, it didn't specify what curse it was. And it didn't say how to remove it." He glanced around nervously, lowering his voice. "Listen. Now that I'm a warlock or whatever I'm starting to see... things. And I'm 98% sure they can see me too. It's freaky. Also you have a weird mark over you that stands for hexes or something, so I think any witch can see that too."

(I wanted to try and rp #1 with you and one else who might be interested if that's okay. Let me know if you don't really like the way my reply goes or something)
Divine Ajibade had been having a hard time taking a nap all day, they were pretty exhausted and yet Everytime they closed their eyes it was like something interrupted them. Right now that something was the persistent knocking on the dorm door. Divine grumbled in the bed and hoped that if they ignored the person long enough that maybe they'd go away.
Once the knocking got more intense Divine let out a sigh and got up from their bed
Leaving the bolt lock on to peak out of the door, they were surprised to see Blakely Robinson at their door looking a little frazzled to say the least
"Umm.... If you're looking for my roommate he's not here right now" they said running an awkward hand through their dreads, "But you can come in if you want" they quickly added as they unbolted the door and stood a bit to the side

Iโll probably wait to post until I get on my regular computer so hereโs the chars Iโm thinking about using, if you donโt have a preference Iโll just go with Arlo like I usually do and type a post once I grab my computer in a bit ^^ Iโm guessing you still wanted to use the part about the supernatural/powered people trying to blend in but I canโt remember all the details from the thread now) Arlo Crimson (probably my main rp char) (These next two would dress more normally for the setting (from the intro Iโm assuming itโs a modern city?) but would still be hiding the more non-human parts of their appearance) Vyra (a bit of a wip since this version of her is so different from the original, but Iโm still interested in using her) Around 19-20, mute (uses sign language or writes), shy, nervous, often more comfortable around animals than people, though she does like to spend time with friends if possible. I'm thinking about giving her some type of mental/psychic powers but I haven't had a chance to experiment with that yet. In the book she is/was a slave to an anti-magic organization, but eventually escapes with someone. She has a pet gryphon in the book but he doesnโt have to be included in rp or maybe Mordecai (Newer, Iโve only used him in one rp so far but Iโm still interested in using him too He appears to be about 25 and he's a shade (mutant vampire that feeds on energy) so he has energy manipulation like Arlo and a bit of shadow magic, as well as the usual vampire stuff like enhanced speed/strength/etc to a lesser extent than a โnormalโ vampire. Mordecai's mind is still human (which isnโt normal for shades), heโs usually pretty quiet and tends to avoid people since heโs. had some really bad experiences with humans but he does still try to look out for other magic users/nonhumans

Gema shrugged her shoulders, just her luck. Stupid things like this were always happening to the poor girl. Of course, not being hexed or anything like that but things like breaking glass, tripping, getting her car broken into. Stuff like that, she just wasn't a lucky woman. As he stared at her she glanced around awkwardly, she couldn't see what he was looking for. Judging by his reaction though nothing had changed.
Her face changed to that of interest, though still pretty irritated she listened to him anyway. This guy really just picked up a book and figured out how to curse people? It was that easy? She nodded and just groaned a bit as he finished explaining about the curse. He really didn't know how to get rid of it. And he was seeing things, oh even better. "Things? What sort of things? And is that bad if they can see it?" The blue eyed girl started to get worried at this point, were people going to be coming after her or something? "Well where do I go to find something to get rid of it? You found how to do it in a book are there other books?" She asked lowering her voice too, him being all paranoid made her even more nervous.
"Look how about we leave this alley so you can stop looking around like a deer who just heard a branch snap. How about we go somewhere in the open, with people, we are less likely to get attacked by someone, or something around other people. Right?" She asked, honestly she just was get nervous being alone in an alley with the guy who cursed her and saw things. It didn't make sense to Gema at all, but she didn't really have much choice but to believe him. If he was being honest she didn't know what was going to happen, and what did he gain from lying to her?

inky Beck hesitated. He wasn't sure if he should tell her, he didn't want to freak her out anymore than he already was. She probably thought he was insane already. "Well, I think they're spirits of some kind. So I don't know." He quickly tried to move the subject along, not wanting to dwell too long on the things he had been seeing. "Maybe I can go back to that antique store and look for some new books, since the one I got apparently doesn't have undoing spells." He suggested, nodding along with his agreement as she suggested they get out of the ally. He turned and led the way, glancing over his shoulder to to give her a small grin and try to forget about the whole curse for a minute. Hopefully she wouldn't drop dead soon. "I'm Beck by the way. The stores not far, I'll show you where it was." He made his way back to the main road and made a left. --cato phoenix omg why would you make me do this? they're all so interesting I can't choose lmao ummm I like both Arlo and Mordecai best, but it sounds like Arlo is pretty similar to my girly so maybe you should use the shade. I don't mind too much though Yes! My idea was basically that certain people find the mutated/supernatural beings dangerous and either want to keep them under control or simply destroy them. My girl (her name is Juliana) is currently being tracked by some of the bad guys and is trying to keep out of their way. Her power is kind of simple, she can teleport to a location she is looking at. @manatee (( hi! hopefully we can get someone to join us then XD )) Blakely's eyebrows shot up as the door was answered, though it was only Divine. She had spoke with them a couple times, but didn't know them too well, as they were only her boyfriend's roommate. "Oh, he's not." She huffed, clearly irritated. When they opened the door she basically pushed herself inside and walked to the living area, looking around pointedly as if she thought they were lying and wanted to check for herself if he was inside. "Of course." She grumbled to softly, sitting down onto the couch and setting her bag beside her. She shuffled a bit uncomfortably and tightened her ponytail, glancing at Divine. "I'm just going to wait for him."

(I hope so too but if not we can improvise lol)
Divine locked the bottom lock and stood a little awkwardly as Blakely looked around the room.
'I guess I'm not going back to sleep' they thought shuffling towards the tiny fridge in the room
Divine grabbed two cups and a tiny jug of orange juice and sat it on the table in front of the couch
"Here if you want anything...."
Divine had always been awkward around people even though Blakely seemed nice enough the few times they spoke together
"How're you? Besides clearly wanting to sock my roommate or anything equivalent of that? Or why do you want to sock him? I can do it for you, track him down and everything" they joked

Sounds good! Iโve been needing an excuse to start using Mordecai more anyway so Iโll start with him and maybe throw Arlo in later if we want more characters? (Love the setting, it has some similarities to the story these chars are from so I think itโll be good writing practice) (Sorry if this postโs a bit messy, I started typing it last night but didnโt get to finish it until tonight lol)
Mordecai had also been heading toward the check out when the sound of objects clattering to the floor behind him caused him to jump and nearly drop what heโd been carrying- only a water bottle and a small package of oreos. He spun to face the source of the sound and found a young woman dressed staring at small multi-colored things that had spilled from a bag sheโd dropped. He watched a piece of green candy spin across the floor for a moment before returning his focus to the person whoโd dropped them, his eye narrowed slightly behind his gold-mirrored sunglasses. She looked like a college student, but the shade could sense something about her energy that seemed a bit odd. Not that it bothered him, after all he was also in the store at nearly three in the morning wearing a hoodโฆ and sunglasses, and a scarf over part of his faceโฆ and that was probably the most โnormalโ thing about him.
โTh-that is strange,โ he agreed, setting the items heโd been carrying on a nearby shelf so that he could help pick up the brightly colored candy. Some had probably rolled under the shelves but he figured they would be easier to reach with a broom or something.
โUm, here,โ he said as he offered a handful of the candy back to the woman whoโd dropped it. His voice was muffled slightly by the scarf, but his accent didnโt seem to be local.
Mordecai glanced toward the clerk. Considering the hour, the hoods, and in his case, the scarf and sunglasses, he hoped they wouldnโt be suspected of trying to rob the place.

inky "I sure hope so," Beck agreed with the girl, Gema. He walked pretty quickly, hoping to get to the shop before anything bad happened to her. He really hoped she wouldn't die because of him. Then he would feel really guilty. "Oh." He laughed a bit, hoping to ease himself of the awkward and ashamed emotions he felt for trying to put a curse on his ex. "She cheated on me. So yeah, I was just upset. We'd been together for just over three years." He explained, shoving his hands into the front pockets of his jeans.
--cato phoenix ( are you writing a story with these characters? ) Julianna turned her head at the sound of another person's voice, looking the individual up and down. He was had his face covered and apparently wore sunglasses at night, so that was a bit strange. She subconsciously tugged the hood of her sweatshirt tighter over her face, bending down to pick up the pieces. "Yeah. Thanks, you don't have to help." She said, but the stranger was already bent down picking them up. She glanced towards the counter, expecting to be greeted by an irritated or mad cashier, but she was instead met by the vacant stare of a man watching them as he was leaning against the counter. He shrugged his shoulders like it was no big deal. "There's a broom right there," The man pointed towards a corner behind the counter but made no move to help them pick up her mess. "Or just leave it under there, I don't really care." Julianna raised her eyebrows, unsure whether to be annoyed or amused at his unmoved attitude. He didn't even seem like he was wary of the two hooded people in his store at 3 am. She pulled her gaze away, finishing picking up all the pieces of candy that were accessible, deciding not to use the broom for under the displays. She stood up straight, tossing the handful into a trash can by the door and wiping off her hands. She glanced at the guy who helped her again, a bit wary. "Thanks again." She mumbled as she collected the rest of her stuff, now ready to check out.
@manatee Blakely watched the other go to the fridge and get some orange juice, as well as two cups. "Thanks..." She said as she leaned forward to take a sip from the glass. She set it back on the table in front of the couch, with a bit too much force as she slammed it. "He was supposed to come meet me today to hang out with my friends. Then he cancelled but promised he would pick me up since I didn't have a ride. Then didn't show up! At all!" She rented to Divine, throwing her hands up in exasperation. He hadn't even answered her texts or calls. "Wouldn't it be embarrassing for your boyfriend to do something like that after you bragged to your friends about him?" She leaned back against the couch with an exaggerated sigh.

Divine nodded to themself while they listened, "Yeah that's kind of peak jerkiness if you ask me. And yes that is a word" they half joked
Divine didn't have too many friends but they would be beyond disappointed and embarrassed if that had happened to them
"Well if you want-"
Divines sentence was cut off by a jiggle of the doorhandle before the door opened and practically slammed against the wall
"Oops, sorry dude I just have my hands full....Blakely! You're here"
The other guy, Jake, had a look of surprise on his face as he closed the door behind him

renaissance (Yeah I am! I actually started it about 6 years ago but I decided to change a lot since then so I need to rewrite what I have) Mordecai froze momentarily when the hooded woman looked at him, wary of being around strangers even though he was the one whoโd chosen to help and he could sense that she wasnโt a regular human eitherโฆ or at least, he was pretty sure she wasnโt. โItโs okay, I donโt mind,โ he replied finally, returning his focus to the candy on the floor. He looked up sharply when the man behind the counter spoke, and glanced to the broom. He didnโt want to seem rude but he wasnโt even the one whoโd spilled it and he didnโt want to stay there any longer than necessary, so he decided not to. The cashier didnโt seem concerned about it anyway. Instead, the shade retrieved the items heโd left on the shelf and headed for the check out line. Mordecai glanced at the cashier again. Something about his lack of concern about both the spilled candy and their presence in the store bugged himโฆ Maybe he was just overthinking things, it was pretty normal for him to be suspicious of regular humans. You might be dressed strangely but at least it makes you look human, he reminded himself, just act normal and you shouldnโt run into any troubleโฆ hopefully.

inky "Thanks." Beck smiled slightly towards Gema, thankful for the bit of sympathy. He hesitated as they came up to the door of a building, clearing his throat awkwardly. "Um, here. This is it." He announced before pulling open the heavy door and stepping inside. It was full of random old things. Dozens of knick-knacks and figures set up along shelves, racks of coats and other accessories, and along the back wall stood a couple bookcases. He motioned for Gema to follow him and walked to the back, beginning to look through the books. "Let's just start looking for something similar to what I have. If you see something that had a name in some weird language or something that looks like it has an old cover it's worth a look at." He suggested.
--cato phoenix ( that is super cool! sorry if my post is a little disorganized, I'm sick rn so it's hard to put my thoughts into words lol ) Julianna glanced around the shop quickly, honestly a little on edge now. She just had a bad feeling all of a sudden. She fell into line behind the guy that had helped her with her own items, including the broken bag of candy that she was going to pay for. The cashier had begun to lazily check out the stranger's items. He looked tired and uninterested and Julianna couldn't help thinking that she could easily rob this place for some extra cash and disappear from town within a couple hours. She tried to push the thought away as the sound of the door alerted her of more people entering the store. "Nobody move." Julianna froze at the sound of a man's voice, inwardly cursing. Now there was an actual robbery happening. She slowly turned her head to study the scene. There were three guys dressed in black and wearing ski masks. How cliche. Two of them had hand guns out, one pointed at the cashier and the other pointed in the direction of the two trying to check out. She didn't spot a weapon on the third guy, so she made a note of that. She obviously had to help the cashier., even if it meant exposing herself. She'd just have to be quick about skipping town. The poor man was shaking in his shoes, scrambling to open the cash register and give the robbers what they wanted, while going on about how his girlfriend was pregnant and he wanted to go home today. Julianna wasn't listening - she was trying to think of a plan. She could easily teleport behind the first guy and grab his gun, but the second armed man would be a problem. She looked to the person who had helped her clean up her mess earlier and lowered her voice to a soft whisper. "Hey." She didn't look at him as she spoke, as she didn't want to alert the robbers that she was conspiring. "I'm going to grab the gun from the guy on the left. Can you handle the other?" She was taking a big chance in asking this guy for help. But maybe he knew how to fight. He looked like he might, the feeling his aura was giving off and everything. Besides, the guy she had asked him to take care of had stepped closer to them now so it would be easier to reach. The man she was going to disarm was basically across the room, but it wouldn't be a problem for her.
@manatee Blakely's head turned from Divine at the sound of the door slamming and her bottom lip puffed out in a pout. She narrowed her eyes, glaring at Jake from her seat on the couch as he walked in. "Yeah, I'm here." She answered with a humorless laugh as he noticed her. "Where were you?" She folded her arms across her chest. "While you were being a jerk your roommate was being super nice and let me in."

(Hey I hope you feel better soon! Rest up!)
Jake tried not to frown, he definitely wasn't expecting Blakely to be here, he didn't know what was worse, her being her or Divine also being here,
"I got busy, lots of things to pick up" Jake shrugged, extending his arms that had a box and a plastic bag in them, "What's the big deal? We can see each other whenever"
Divine inhaled sharply feeling even more awkward with that last line, 'Dude you're already missing the point....'

Haneul eases the window up with more speed than usual, his sore limbs trembling slightly as he moves them from the crooked branch to the pocketed brick wall of his dorm building. He catches the card he'd used to prevent the window from locking and holds it between his teeth as he balances on both hands to bring his legs up and through the opening, moving his right hand to the raised window so that he can slip in without bumping his head. In hindsight, it might have been better to use the door- for once- as he mainly exited and entered via window so that his comings and goings would be hard to track. His roommate seems the quiet type who wouldn't ask too many questions, at least, but he doesn't want to disturb them with the creaky door.
He pauses in the action of locking the window, only just now aware of two familiar voices coming from the living/dining area. Haneul wants to swear but replaces the words with a rather distressed hum, straightening and running a hand through his usually neatly parted hair whilst simultaneously trying to smooth down his wrinkled ivory button-up. He'd been in such a hurry to get back that he'd turned down an offer of freshening up at Jun's place and is less than presentable as a result. He should've stopped by at least to use the phone. Idiot! If he could, he'd at least change his clothes but he'd been in the blonde's direct line of sight. It'd probably be better to stop skulking around in the first place... Haneul suppresses a sigh and walks directly toward the sound of stilted conversation, tucking a bloodied corner of his shirt under his sweater and hastily wiping at more blood under his eye before he enters the room.
"Hello," he greets softly, managing not to wince. If her presence wasn't bad enough, the state Blakely is in only compounds his guilt. Her mascara is smeared on her face and she'd obviously been walking for a while. It looks as if they're both a little worse for wear. "Ha, what a pair we make." The words are accompanied with a wry smile as he approaches and pauses before kneeling on the floor. Standing over her doesn't feel right, and neither does sitting in a chair as if she's just by on a casual visit. "For what it's worth, I'm glad you arrived safely."
"You're right, I'm a completely unreliable jerk and for that I deeply apologize...I shouldn't have made promises if there was a chance I couldn't keep them-" He pauses and looks to Divine. "And I'm sorry that we might have disturbed your rest."
"Something came up unexpectedly and I thought I'd be finished in time to pick you up; my phone was broken in the interim..." Ah, those sound like excuses, even if they're true. He has to suppress a sudden wave of resentment towards Jun for dragging him back into things. Haneul is definitively finished with 'that life'. At least he should be- but that isn't important right now. He schools his features and briefly glances down to where he's anxiously twirling his ring before looking back up at Blakely. "If you would give me another chance I swear I'll make it up to you. I understand if you're angry or no longer trust me, however..."

( I hope this is okay? I'm willing to change things if need be! And here's Haneul. Full name Haneul 'Chan' Choi. Usually called Chan. He's the son of a wealthy family that run a profitable jewelry and clothing line.)

((no problem, this is fine. and he's adorable <3 ))
Blakely's expression remained unchanged, eyes narrowed and arms folded across her chest. She was mad at him, she reminded herself, and she wanted him to be clear that she didn't appreciate being stood up with no warning. "You were supposed to give me a ride. I walked." She reminded him grimly, although she could have easily called someone or even gotten an uber. She had enough money, her parents sent her more than enough every week since she'd left home. She walked so she can have something to pout about, a reason to sulk and hopefully make her boyfriend feel guilty. She watched as he crossed the room, kneeling in front of her on the floor. She looked into his eyes, suddenly feeling self conscious with him so close, uncrossing her arms to tuck a piece of blond hair behind her ear and wipe her cheeks. Her eyes darted between Haneul and Divine, hesitating as she listened to his apology and stupid explanation. Sounded like dumb excuses, and the face she made as he said hopefully portrayed to him that she felt that way. She noticed a smudge on his face and her hand instinctively lifted, gently wiping at the spot under his eye. She then sighed and stood up, stepping away a bit and turning from the young man. She took a deep breath to calm her nerves, glancing over her shoulder at him. "I don't know, Chan... I left early because I felt so dumb in front of my friends. I'm pretty hungry. Maybe if you treat me and Divine to a meal I might consider accepting your apology." She finally cracked a small smile, glancing towards Divine and raising her eyebrows slightly as she waited to see if they would accept as well.
