- - Batstar of ShadowClan [ ☾ѕησσzє☽, ʀᴀɪɴʟᴇᴀғ 🍁, Feathertalon] Batstar have a quick nod to Squirrelstar. Continuing their conversation later would be nice, especially now that she had some questions she wouldn’t mind asking Squirrelstar about. Perhaps her earlier comment about taking territory wasn’t so out of place after all, especially given the clear tension between the two woodland clans right now. “I’d like that, I’m sure we still have plenty to talk about,” Batstar responded. Looking back to Cloudstar, Batstar gave her a curt nod. Out of all the clan leaders, Cloudstar was far from her favorite. Her passive nature left her clan weak. Leaders needed to be strong and willing to fight for their clan and that wasn’t something Batstar associated with Cloudstar. However she had to admit, it was far too amusing to watch Squirrelstar use RiverClan to take a jab at ThunderClan. Batstar cast a quick glance back towards Rainleaf would react. So far the other calico had done well to keep her cool under the insults, however Batstar could only wonder how much she could take. Was Batstar secretly rooting for a fight to break out? No of course not, a gathering was no place for that. However that would definitely make this gathering worth attending.

- - Cherrypaw of WindClan [ iciclerain] Cherrypaw blinked, bobbing her head as she tried to follow along with the RiverClan warrior’s comments and questions, however she was just talking so fast that Cherrypaw couldn’t keep up, and all that head bobbing was beginning to make her head hurt as the fourtrees began to spin a little from dizziness. Setting herself a little more firmly on the ground, Cherrypaw lifted her paw up to signal that she needed a moment. “Wait, slow down,” she requested, trying to remember everything they Dormouse...Dormouse something had mentioned. “No I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dormouse, not yet at least, and no I haven’t seen a cherry either, did I miss anything?” She asked, blinking as she looked back to the RiverClan molly.

basscloud of riverclanaccompanied by Murkpaw | four trees Basscloud watched Murkpaw as she brought herself to her paws, unsure if he should comment on her dusty pelt or not. It's not like it mattered anyways, appearances were worthless at gatherings unless someone was a leader. As she spoke, he purred in amusement at the apprentice's comment. "Oh, really? I guess I should be taking tips from you then," he mewed before smiling softly at the ThunderClan feline.
The grey and black tabby tom really hadn't thought through the size difference. To him, Murkpaw was like a tiny ant and he was the paw that could squish her in seconds. Lucky for the apprentice, Basscloud wasn't the type to do such a thing. He wouldn't even hurt a fly. His copper eyes peered down at her gently as he pondered over her blunt question.
"'Course I can! I may be tall, but I don't think I'm that tall. I'm definitely not as tall as the oaks over there," Basscloud responded. "How's the weather down there? Is it nice and cool?" image source - tumblr | 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖

- - Ravenpaw of ShadowClan [ Blaze ♡] “I can’t do this, I can’t do this, Icantdothis-“ Ravenpaw internally repeated as his thoughts began to speed up with the beat of his heart. The other clans had arrived now and the clearing was full of strange cats with strange smells and strange voices that he wasn’t used to. Everything was too loud and overwhelming and he couldn’t think, he couldn’t do anything except lay there, frozen in place as his legs began to tremble and his heart pounded so fast in his chest that he was sure it was about to burst out of his body and leave him to die. He couldn’t do this. He couldn’t- Just then, a familiar scent wafted over to him and his mother’s voice filled his ears. Instantly a wave of appreciation washed over him as Ravenpaw blinked open his eyes and looked up to see Mossynose beside him. “There’s too many cats,” he admitted in a weak, small voice as he moved closer to his mother. “I don’t think I can do this...”

She leaned in, "Really though, what's it like training in the open all the time? Has a hawk ever attacked you? I heard WindClan has those. Echoflower Skyclan // The Gathering// Open Echoflower sat on the edge of the rock listening in on Squirrelstar trying to make small talk with the Shadowclan leader. She felt calm and wanted to mingle with the other medicine cats. However, she didn't know what to say. The black and white molly figured she would try and say something but the words wouldn't come out. Oh come on stop acting like a scared kit and say something, she thought to herself. Echoflower finally gained the courage to talk to the other medicine cats. herself.
"How is everyone doing?" the molly asked. She felt a little bit of anxiety to which greatly annoyed her. Oh come one you've talked to them several times why am I like this? The molly figured it was due to her not knowing what was going on. The drought filled her with so much anxiety. Echoflower gave a sigh, there was nothing she could do at this point but it made her uneasy that she hadn't heard anything from Starclan. The she-cat looked up towards the Silverpelt hoping things would be okay. Do they also feel the way I do? she asked herself.
Speckledcreek Skyclan // Gathering// Open Speckledcreek sat with his fellow clan mates under Squirrelstar's watchful gaze. The tom had looked at the other clan leaders and noticed Rainleaf instead of Stagstar. The tom had to do a double-take to make sure his eyes aren't deceiving. No, the calico sat there in his place he wondered if the injuries were that great he had to stay back at camp. He shrugged not caring about the brute. Good riddance, he thought bitterly. The speckled tom looked at the other leaders; he didn't mind Cloudstar or Batstar. Teaselstar was okay. Speckledcreek didn't hate him or liked him he was just okay.
He enjoyed the cool crisp air better than it was during the day. He felt freer and not lazing around the camp due to the heat. He felt bad though, the heat was no reason for him not to train Nightpaw. He had to not be lazy and just do what he can. He was deep in thought not really paying attention to what was going on around him. Voices were around him but he didn't really listen to what they had to say.

I remember when I was an apprentice, my paw got stuck in a briar bush and my mentor had to pull me out of it. He said, ‘Pinepaw, you need to learn how to get yourself out of the ruckus or else it can cost you prey or an owl might snatch you’. I had no idea that large owls can eat a full grown cat,” she mused.

Chickenflight » ShadowClan Once again Chickenflight found himself purring. He offered a warm smile toward Copperspots. "All of ShadowClan thanks you for the offer. Okay, maybe not all of ShadowClan, but I at least thank you." Chickenflight was sure there were some ShadowClan cats out there that would absolutely loathe the idea of a RiverClanner helping them out. They wouldn't want to be seen as weak by any outsider, and Chickenflight could understand where they were coming from, but at a time like this couldn't all the Clans benefit from helping one another rather than closing their borders and becoming hostile?
Copperspots seemed to be on the same track of mind here, or at least going down the same path as Chickenflight. The ShadowClan warrior tilted his head to the side, curious as to what his friend was thinking. "You have something in mind?" He questioned, all of his attention on Copperspots, waiting for him to explain where he was going with that.

- - Murkpaw of ThunderClan [ Sand] Murkpaw made a face as she looked up at the bigger cat. He was a little bit puzzling to her, so big and calm, kind of like the a large oak tree but in the form of a cat. That’s what he was, he was an oak tree living in the body of a cat. “I don’t think you wanna take any tips from me, I’m not very good at anything other than tripping over my own paws,” she admitted, looking down at her feet. She wanted to be the best apprentice that ThunderClan ever had, but so far she was proving to be the worst apprentice instead. Not that she’d tell anyone that, she didn’t need her clanmates to have more reason to make fun of her. But she didn’t mind talking to the oak-cat about it. He seemed like a good person to talk to. Speaking of oaks, Murkpaw couldn’t help but find it a little amusing that he also chose to use oaks to compare him to, since that’s just what she was doing. Letting out a small, amused purr, Murkpaw looked back up at him. “Maybe, but you’re pretty close, I bet you can see everything from up there,” she told him, giving her pelt a quick shake to get rid of the dust. “It’s not bad down here, little dirty though,” she joked, pushing some of the dust up with her paws.

Cloudstar » The gathering had yet to truly start and already it seemed like things were becoming a bit tense between some of the leading cats.
Cloudstar had taken the approach of keeping herself out of the other felines' business, but it wasn't long before she was pulled into the conversation herself. She drew in a deep breath. It wasn't like she was anxious about speaking with other cats in a public area, she was beyond used to attending gatherings as a leader at this point, but she needed to ease her worries that something would go wrong and claws would be unsheathed under the sacred light of the full moon.
Taking a step closer to the other leaders, Cloudstar dipped her head in a silent greeting before her attention turned solely to Squirrelstar. "I'm doing well, as I hope all of you are." She flicked her green gaze across each cat there with her and then back to Squirrelstar. "You make me swell with pride by calling me your favorite neighbor, but if you'll let me be blunt for a moment, picking favorites is like being a puddle - shallow compared to the river. I believe we should all be equal, whether or not we share borders." With that Cloudstar turned to Batstar and dipped her head. ShadowClan was the only Clan that did not share a border with the river, which was a shame as Cloudstar would love to interact with Batstar and her warriors more often than just at a gathering. "I realize some Clans are more tense with one another, but what happened has happened, at least in RiverClan, we understand that it's best to stay calm and go with the current, or else you'll get stuck with logs of the past and create yourself a dam."
Had any of that been too harsh? Cloudstar hoped not. She only wished to help ease the other mollies rather than put them on edge. If anything she had been true with her words - picking favorites was kit-like, and bringing up past grievances at a gathering was only asking for a fight. Cloudstar wanted to keep the truce, and if she had to be blunt to do so, then so be it.

FUNGISTALK // SHADOWCLAN Gathering // Open
The rustic black she-cat had followed her clan to the gathering. Her face remain neutral as she saw the other cats mingle with each other. The laughter, the chatter. The conversations made Fungistalk's ears twitch and she huffed, licking at her chest before glancing around. Maybe one of her clanmates can spare a conversation? It won't hurt to talk to someone for once...
Ah, but the molly was never good at keeping a good conversation. Her aloof demeanor made it hard for her to talk to anyone, and thus most cats avoided her for the time being. The thought of it pulled her muzzle into a small frown before licking her paw. Fungistalk's paw quickly wiped over her ears before staring at the ground.

- - Cherrypaw of WindClan [ iciclerain] Okay Cherrypaw, you could do this, think of it as chasing a rabbit but instead of a physical rabbit, chase a mental rabbit, a mental rabbit that was Dormousetail’s words. “Being a WindClan apprentice is great, we have the best view of the sky out of all the clans, and nothing can compare to our view of the sky at night, if you think it’s pretty here, you should see what it looks like in WindClan territory,” she started trying to keep up with everything. “I saw a hawk once however I’ve never gotten close to one, yes it is very dry, but it’s not as bad as many you might think, anything else?” She asked, head tilted slightly.

"Squirrelstar does know that Cloudstar is only favored because she doesn't ever do anything, right? You could steal some prey and she'd apologize to you for not chasing it over the border." the she-cat wondered in her head, unable to hide her expression of confusion. She didn't notice Batstar observing her but it wouldn't have mattered to the queen. Rainstar blinked twice and furrowed her brow while looking away. Her head tilted in a flick. "Okay, I guess I'm in the nursery again dealing with a kit." she muttered under her breath before realizing that Batstar was close enough to hear. She cleared her throat and turned to Cloudstar. She had caught some of what she said and came to a conclusion of her overall message.
Bowing in respect, Rainstar sent a silent thanks to Cloudstar for shutting Squirrelstar down. It was honestly fun while it lasted, but her mockery of ThunderClan was getting old. The calico couldn't throw words like any other warrior due to her position. She would rather have Squirrelstar look bitter and she herself look honorable. Oh, how Squirrelstar will react when Rainstar breaks the news would be delightful. The queen hoped and prayed that Squirrelstar would show her mangey butt and be the laughing stock of the five Clans. coding & icon image by officialrainleafwcf

Salmonwhisker of RiverClan fourtrees | accompanied by Jaegerwing Tonight was a night. Salmonwhisker, social butterfly extraordinaire and resident heartthrob of RiverClan, was in his element. This was his chance to shine. He thrived on being the center of attention. He was addicted to the thrill of meeting someone new. He yearned for the opportunity to make a connection, be it a new lifelong friend or casual hookup for one evening. With Jaegerwing at his side, the ginger tom was practically glowing with enthusiasm, his green eyes bright in the moonlight, searching the crowd for his next fling, his next enemy, his next bosom chum. (Not that anyone could ever replace Jaegerwing, of course; Salmonwhisker was his through and through.)
Lock up your sons and daughters, cats of all Clans -- Salmonwhisker is on the scene and ready to play, complete with a set of horrible pick-up lines.
Beside him, Jaegerwing was practically bouncing up and down, asking for another play-by-play of Salmonwhisker's Daring Rescue. "Well," he mewed, loudly enough for his voice to carry to nearby cats, "It all started when I went down to the river for a swim. I figured I'd cool off, you know, maybe catch a fish or two on the way. But little did I know that I was about to reel in the biggest catch of my life..."
Swiftpaw of WindClan fourtrees | open Swiftpaw's fur was aflame with nervous excitement. She was desperate to not let it show on her face, but instead of keeping a pleasantly neutral expression as she'd hoped, a defensive scowl was plastered across her muzzle, her brows deeply furrowed. She was focusing so hard on trying to play it cool that she nearly tripped over her own paws as they headed down into the hollow beneath the trees. Keep it together, Swiftpaw. Not that she was nervous or anything. Just because it was her first Gathering, and she'd never seen so many cats in one place, didn't mean she was going to hide behind her mentor's legs like a scared little kit.
Swiftpaw had never been great at socializing, but that didn't worry her. This was an opportunity to meet other apprentices and show them how awesome WindClan is. I bet I could beat every single one of them in a race. Then they'd see how amazing my mentor is and how lucky I am to be part of WindClan, the best Clan in the land. They're literally going to die of awe, and then they'll all want to be my friends. Swiftpaw didn't have many friends. Which was fine, of course, not that it bothered her; she didn't need friends. But it couldn't hurt, so, why not, right?
She was totally going to win at making friends, just watch.
Rowancloud of SkyClan fourtrees | open Rowancloud drifted into the hollow with her nose in the air, humming a tune with no melody, not looking at anyone in particular. With the sun gone, the worst of the heat had burned off, but the night air was still warm and muggy and buzzing with flies as well as voices. There was a feeling of tension in the air, too. It was faint but there, stretched thinly over the Gathering like gossamer. The heatwave was not prejudiced, nor did it play favorites; it had been just as unkind to the other Clans as it had been to SkyClan. But cats were prejudiced beings with living hearts and real feelings; though they had all gathered here this night under the pretenses of peace, she could sense that it was more to display fortitude than to celebrate kinship. Look at us. Look at what we have endured. We are strong.
Rowancloud didn't understand the necessity for the smoke and mirrors, the pretending. Everyone had been impacted by the heatwave, so why try to hide it when they could be supporting each other? It was very off-putting, bad vibes all around. ShadowClan's aura, in particular, seemed to be especially dingy. She made sure to steer clear of them. RiverClan, however, seemed to be radiating a more relaxed aura, and she felt herself drawn to them. Something had come over her and was inexplicably tugging her towards the water cats, so she gave into the feeling and let fate guide her pawsteps.
Embergaze of ShadowClan fourtrees | open Embergaze hovered near the front of the Gathering party, trying not to look too eager. He was pretty sure he was the only cat in ShadowClan who actually enjoyed going to Gatherings -- aside from Chickenflight, he supposed. He lifted his head, straining to see above the crowd, but his black-and-white companion had disappeared into the sea of different pelt colors. Behind him, most of his Clanmates seemed to be hanging back around the edges of the hollow, muttering to themselves and eyeing the other Clans judgmentally. They could be critiquing the poor grooming of someone's fur or plotting a murder, for all he knew. Embergaze sighed and shook his head. No wonder everyone thinks we're creeps.
He began to wade through the crowd, weaving around other warriors and dodging a couple of rambunctious first time apprentices. He kept away from the center of the hollow, his fur prickling with discomfort at the close proximity and the heat wafting off of all these bodies. He might be more outgoing than the average ShadowClan cat, but he didn't particularly enjoy being smothered in the middle, either. He kept his ears flicked forward as he wandered, alert for interesting snippets of conversation he could eavesdrop on.

Mossynose Shadowclan Deputy With Ravenpaw ( @smores ) A soft purred rumbled from Mossynose's chest as Ravenpaw shifted closer. She gently nudged him with her muzzle, comforting him. She could sympathize with him. Her first gathering was a experience. There was so many cats everywhere. It was always overwhelming for a fresh apprentice.
Part of her wanted to scold Batstar for not waiting another moon to send Ravenpaw here. Her kit was still wary about a lot of things, throwing him headfirst into a gathering of five clans wouldn't help.
"It will be fine, Ravenpaw," she cooed quietly to the young tom, "You will get through this," and licked his ears like she used to in the nursery. "Soon everyone will settle down and the leaders will start their reports," Mossynose started to explain to him so he knew what would be happening. It would be semi-quiet soon.
She glanced over towards the leaders noticing that all were together expect for Stagstar and Dawnstar. She briefly wondered where the Thunderclan and Windclan leaders were or if they went representatives.
"You can stay with me if you want," Mossynose meowed in a quiet tone. She wouldn't abandon Ravenpaw to the masses. If needed, she would keep her son at her side as she took her place near the leader's position soon.

basscloud of riverclanaccompanied by Murkpaw | four trees "Are you sure? To me, it seems like you're better than that," Basscloud commented, tipping his head to one side. As Murkpaw looked down at her paws, he felt a pang of sadness in his chest. Surely this molly wasn't a horrible apprentice, she seemed very capable and intriguing to him. "After all, you were able to get to your paws! That's an achievement. Plus, you made it to the gathering too! There's another achievement."
The oak cat, as he had now been dubbed, kept his warm gaze on the ThunderClan apprentice while she spoke. "Oh, believe me, I can! I can see from here that Cloudstar missed a tuft of fur when she was grooming herself earlier," he told her, grinning mischievously. "Don't tell her that I told you though!"
He paused for a moment as some of the dust came up from Murkpaw's paws before purring in amusement. "I think I'd prefer the dirt over the heat," he mused. "You're from ThunderClan, right? What's your name?"

- - Copperspots of RiverClan [ Feathertalon] Copperspot’s green eyes glinted as Chickenflight asked him about his plan, crawling forward a little more, Copperspots gently prodded Chickenflight with his paw, flicking his tail back and forth. “We could meet around here at night and hunt together, we could split up the prey we have between the two of us and bring it back to our clans, maybe we could catch more prey together if we hunted together,” he suggested in a hushed, excited voice. Maybe it wouldn’t do anything and it was honestly probably a pretty stupid idea, but Copperspots enjoyed the idea of hunting alongside Chickenflight. They could hunt in neutral territory, so they weren’t stealing prey from their own territories. It was stupid and he half expected Chickenflight to say no, but the idea was still tempting to him. Especially if it meant he could spend more time with Chickenflight beyond just the gatherings. He didn’t even get to see Chickenflight on border patrols because their clans didn’t share a border.

FUNGISTALK // SHADOWCLAN Gathering // Interacting with Embergaze ( Tealraven )
Fungistalk blinked a few times seeing her clanmate. The tom was... looking for a spot in the front? Curiousity creeped up her spine, picking up her hind to follow him. Although it looks a bit creepy, considering she hasn't said a word yet. Her mouth opened up for a second before nodding. "Embergaze. What are you doing? You're not with the others."
Ah, shoot. Her words sounded like she was scolding. Her rather monotonous and raspy tone came off flat and harsh, more than she meant it. The rustic she-cat's ears flatten once she realized that, hey, that probably was rude. But the expression returned neutral. At least she's trying to interact with someone, yeah?

jaggedthorn of shadowclanaccompanied by Pantherclaw | four treesJaggedthorn, as prickly as she was, enjoyed gatherings. Despite her awful attitude, she didn't mind being among the other clans. Of course she'd made a snide comment here and there, but it's Jaggedthorn-- that's how she is and, frankly, the senior warrior wasn't going to change.
She spotted an open spot near a ThunderClan feline who looked a bit too guarded for her liking. Whatever, she thought before taking a seat near Pantherclaw. "Not a bad night for a gathering," she mewed, eyeing the dark colored tom. "You hear anything interesting yet? I haven't seen Dawnstar all night. »𝕊𝕢𝕦𝕚𝕣𝕣𝕖𝕝𝕤𝕥𝕒𝕣« The shaggy furred molly took the words into consideration before letting a short huff out. "You have a point in your words, Cloudstar, but I must point out that having favorites is something that happens, not every clan can get along, such is the life of a warrior." Her gaze turned back to Rainleaf as she gave her own reply, ears perked as she tried to catch the beginning but she couldn't. Though it seemed Batstar was closer, perhaps she had heard and would tell her later, she would love to know what was going on with ThunderClan. She would never outright start a fight with the bird brains but if they were to throw the first claws...well she would certainly take advantage of the situation. It would help her convince them to attack first if she knew some of their inner workings, every little secret they are trying to hide away. For now, she needed to say something else. Keep the conversation going. Should she proceed with berating the molly or just ignore her existence all together? She might be the deputy of ThunderClan, even leader at some point, but she would treat Stagstar just the same.
The deep seeded hatred for ThunderClan had been long lasting and some words of wisdom wouldn't change her opinion. They would have to beg for SkyClan's forgiveness. Maybe if your leader didn't take my first life in a battle I didn't want, we would be on better speaking terms but for now we will continue at this pace. "We are missing a cat." She finally mewed, eyes narrowing as she searched the WindClan warriors below, none of them looked like Dawnstar or even Teaseltail. Maybe the fires had been bad enough to wipe both out? She hoped not. She couldn't imagine losing both a leader and a deputy, it would even make her upset if that had happened to ThunderClan, no matter how badly she despised them.

fourtrees ; with fireflycloud;
“Oh! It’s ok! I get being nervous around ShadowClan, with the whole tearing-each-other-to-pieces-in-the-middle-of-camp-for-fun reputation. Which is. Actually a thing that happens. Wild, right! But I don’t fight. I’m like, super pacifistic. So sorry for scaring you, though. I was just. Trying to get away from ShadowClan, I guess, and then suddenly I was surrounded by ThunderClan and I guess I’m here now.”
Ferretmask can ramble on when she’s nervous. Her sentences are half-tripping over themselves. She is tying herself into knots with her tongue, and her tongue itself seems knotted as she speaks. As if it was trying to run away from her as fast as she was trying to run away from ShadowClan. Granted, ThunderClan was not her preferred company. ThunderClan was – well – everyone knew about their long-standing rivalries with half the clans in the forest. ThunderClan and ShadowClan hated each other because they shared a border that it was convenient to glare over. ThunderClan and SkyClan hated each other because of history. Because of Branchstar and Stagstar and some other stars before that, that Ferretmask couldn’t much remember, because she didn’t memorize the other clan’s. WindClan and ThunderClan were often squabbling too – though usually over petty things, like rabbits, more than any deep-seated rivalries like those which radiated between ThunderClan and ShadowClan and SkyClan and even, believe it or not, RiverClan.
Ferrertmask let her gaze drift over towards where Cloudstar sat perched upon High Rock with the other leaders. RiverClan never got into fights – at least, not under Cloudstar’s reign. Imagine that. No fighting in camp, just laying on rocks sunbathing with your clan-mates. Slow, languid conversation stretching like the sun over the horizon line. All calm. No frazzled nerves, or she-cats threatening to fight her. Woe be Ferretmask, that she was born in the clan she was.
“We can start over, if you want. I’m Ferretmask. What’s your name?”
Ferretmask asks, even though she already knows Fireflycloud’s name, because they have met before, because that’s how you ease into conversation, right? She’s grasping at straws here.

- - Ravenpaw of ShadowClan [ Blaze ♡] Why were there so many cats here? It felt as if there were a thousand cats all pressing up against him, speaking loudly and breathing down his back, laughing, hissing, growling, were they fighting? No...no, this was a gathering, they didn’t fight on gatherings, they were just talking...mingling...being friendly. That’s all, that’s all they were doing. They were all talking around him. Ravenpaw looked up at Mossynose, trying to tune everything else out and simply focus on his mother. “Really? I can stay with you? Won’t...wont all the other deputies...won’t they get mad?” He asked in a quiet voice, though he didn’t look away from Mossynose. Ravenpaw knew for some extent that he should go find some other apprentices and socialize, and that his mother needed to go sit with all the other deputies, however right now with everything looming all around him, he couldn’t do it, and he definitely couldn’t do it by himself. But maybe he could do it if he got to stay at his mom’s side.

Chickenflight » ShadowClan Chickenflight had no idea where Copperspots wanted to go with the idea he had, but he hadn't expected the answer he had gotten.
His expression spoke of his surprise at the other tom's words. Chickenflight's green eyes were wide and the fur along his spine began to bristle ever so slightly, more out of worry than anything as his mind began to race. Meet here at night? Like the kind of meeting up where you sneak out and hope no cat catches you? What happens if we get caught? Batstar will have my pelt! She'll challenge me to a duel in the middle of camp and she'll wear my skin like a trophy. I mean, I'm okay with that, Batstar can do what she wishes when she finds out I've been sneaking out...
How long had he been silently staring at Copperspots with a wide-eyed stare at this point? The answer was too long.
Right, he had told himself to be more open with Copperspots. If he was going to work on that he needed to say what was on his mind.
Shaking his head, Chickenflight took a second to calm himself. He felt the fur along his spine smooth back down. "That... I'm not..I'm not sure, Copperspots. Sneaking out of camp at night is a bit dangerous. What would happen if you got caught? I mean, I doubt Cloudstar would be harsh, but I've never heard of how she might deal with something like this." Chickenflight looked away from his friend for a moment, paws once again shuffling across the ground in a nervous tic. The last thing he wanted was for Copperspots to get in trouble, but the more he thought about it, the more he was starting to think that maybe the idea wasn't as terrible as his mind initially thought. Plus there was an innate urge to spend more time with Copperspots, and getting to hunt beside him would be more than thrilling. Just that alone brought a smile to the tom's face. Plus, the Clans needed more food than ever, and Fourtrees was neutral ground. No cat could get angry about stealing prey on neutral territory.
Green eyes locked back onto Copperspots. "Alright, but only on one condition - so long as you wouldn't get in too much trouble if you're caught, then I'll do it. I'm not risking you whether or not the Clans are in desperate need of prey."

- - Murkpaw of ThunderClan [ Sand] Huh, did Oak-Cat really think they getting up on her feet and making it to the gathering was an achievement? Maybe it was, after all, Rainstar could’ve chosen any cat to go to the gathering, but she had chosen to let Murkpaw go, and not only that but Rainstar must’ve trusted her enough to make it without Ebonystone or Stormwatcher as well, so clearly Murkpaw was doing something right. Encouraged by his words, Murkpaw puffed out her chest proudly. “I guess that is something,” she agreed, pausing when Basscloud mentioned Cloudstar. Tilting her head, Murkpaw stretched out on the tips of her paws to try and see the tuft of fur on Cloudstar’s head. Of course she couldn’t see it though. “I have a tuft of fur on my head too,” she commented, sitting back down. “My brother tries to get rid of it but I like it,” she explained, glancing back up at the RiverClan tom. “I’m Murkpaw, and one day I’m gonna be the best warrior ThunderClan has ever seen,” Murkpaw explained and held her head high, chest puffed up proudly as she looked back to the tom. “What about you? What’s your name? I’m guessing it’s not Oakcat, like I’ve been calling you in my head.”

Wolfstep nudged Nightwing. He was the warrior that Rainstar had asked to keep an eye on the newcomer. Of course, his job wouldn't be too hard if Cinderfall joined them. That's exactly what Wolfstep intended to do. He needed to find the little she-cat that was able to convince Rainstar about Nightwing. She was lucky Stagstar had just passed, so Rainstar wouldn't have to ask about the matter. She could be sweetened up by her friend. It aggravated him a little bit that Rainstar showed such a weakness early on, but given their history, he could somewhat understand. "C'mon, let's get a look around. Don't say much, alright?" he told the tom. coding & icon image by officialrainleafwcf

Rainhead -- approaching Salmonwhisker & Jaegerwing // with Riverclan, Gathering
Rainhead smiled as she walked beside her clanmates that had been chosen to go to the gathering, feeling a little sorry for Pebbleskip who had to stay back at the camp. She was looking forward to hearing about the other clans and relay it all to her sister as soon as they got back. The blue molly broke away from the other Riverclan cats, searching for anyone familiar in the crowd of clan cats who were starting to mix together. However, the young warrior found herself already beginning to feel overwhelmed and really wished Pebbleskip or Webwhisker were here for her to stick close to. So, she stood by herself, unmoving and not entirely knowing who to talk to, that is until she spotted Salmonwhisker not too far from where she stood.
Her mind briefly wonders if Salmonwhisker would be someone she could stay close to for the time being. Deciding that he was probably the best thing she was going to get, Rainhead started to pad over to the other Riverclan warrior, nerves clenching at her heart as she suddenly remembered about how she'd literally gotten stuck in the mud and had to listen to the tom drone on and on until they freed themselves, along with Timberfang. Well, it was too late to go back now. "Hey, Salmonwhisker, oh-" Rainhead cut herself off, her ears flattening to the top of her head when she realized she'd interrupted his conversation. "Sorry, I didn't see you there, Jaegerwing. I hope I didn't interrupt anything." She looked to the two toms sheepishly, taking a small step backwards.
Morelspots -- with Rosepaw, mentions Fleetfoot // with Windclan, Gathering
Morelspots walked beside her apprentice in silence, surprised she had been chosen to go to the gathering basically right after sitting vigil for her brothers death. She couldn't believe Nettlefrost was dead and she hadn't even been there to say goodbye, or do anything to save him. When they'd brought his body back to camp, Morelspots had barely recognized him and honestly couldn't believe that it was Nettflefrost, thinking the patrol was playing some sort of sick joke. It wasn't until Teaselstar declared it did she finally believe it, sticking close to her father and grieving alongside him. She wish she could've gotten sick and had to miss the gathering like their new leader, or had even asked to have been replaced by someone else, but she didn't have the energy to speak to Sparrowtuft about it.
It wasn't until she heard Rosepaw mumbling beside her that she lifted her head, looking over her apprentice carefully and finding herself agreeing with the young tom. Normally one to be excited about gatherings, Morelspots just didn't have it in her to put up a cheerful front. "I'm afraid we'll just have to be patient." She spoke to Rosepaw, giving him a slight nudge and offering a small smile. "Y'know, it wouln't be such a bad idea to introduce yourself to the apprentices. Size up the competition and find out what they've been working on." The moor runner nodded her head to where some apprentices had begun to congregate. "Or you could stay beside me all night." Morelspots offered, not wanting to seem like she was trying to get rid of Rosepaw.
While she waited for a response from the apprentice, Morelspots looks over the sea of Windclan cats in an attempt to spot the familiar white and orange pelt of Fleetfoot. They hadn't spoken much since their hunting trip, having argued most of the way back and boasting about who caught more prey. Then the news of Nettlefrost hit the clan and the molly had stuck close to her father for the most part, having sat vigil and then secluding herself until the gathering. It would just be nice to be near Fleetfoot when Sparrowtuft would eventually have to announce the death of her brother.
Lilacdawn -- approaching Teaflower // with Skyclan, Gathering
Lilacdawn yawned as she padded into Fourtrees with the rest of Skyclan, not very excited to be up very late but at least looking forward to seeing Burningsight when they got back. The golden furred molly watched as cats broke off on their own to introduce themselves to each other, greet old friends, or to avoid one another. She takes a moment to watch all the hustle and bustle before she spotted a somewhat familiar face amongst the Thunderclan cats.
A purr escapes her as she begins to approach Teaflower, someone who she considered to be somewhat of an old friend, preferring to sit with the Thunderclan warrior if neither her friend or mate could attend the gathering. "Teaflower, long time no see!" Lilacdawn greeted the other warmly, her tail slowly moving from side-to-side as she got close enough to sit beside the ginger and white molly. "How are you? I'm dying to know how everyone in Thunderclan is doing ever since we've been hit with this dramatic heat." Spill the tea, Teaflower.
Viperslip -- open // with Shadowclan, Gathering
Viperslip sat by himself, noticing that others from Shadowclan were doing the same as more cats were showing up for the gathering. The silver tom narrowed his eyes and dared for anyone to approach him, not exactly in the mood to socialize like everyone else. The last place the Shadowclan warrior wanted to be was at Fourtrees, in fact it took everything within him to not argue with Batstar and try to convince her to replace him with someone who actually wanted to go. Viperslip sighs and stretches out his torso, paws reaching as far in front of him as possible before he sits a little more comfortably, waiting for the gathering to finally start. For the time being, Viperslip would watch others' conversation, maybe try to eavesdrop if he was close enough. Just something to fill the time.

DORMOUSETAIL riverclan fourtrees cherrypaw / 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖 ------------------------------
Dormousetail tapped her paw on the ground. "Hrmmmm...I think I've got everything I wanted to know. Sorry for bombarding you there, it sort of just happens," she licked her chest. "Do you have anything you want to know about RiverClan? I mean, like, things I can tell you that aren't secrets about my Clan only my Clan should know?" she beamed. Maybe...just maybe this is time for me to rant about my favorite types of fish and everything else about fish. Eels! Eels too! Why do they exist!?

Pantherclaw || Thunderclan Warrior With Jaggedthorn (Shadowclan & Sand) Pantherclaw watched the leaders with a curious gleam in his eyes. He shifted in his position, wondering when the gathering was going to start since all of the clans were here. Hearing someone sit down next to him, the black tom glanced over and scented the senior warrior subtly, Shadowclan. She looked vaguely familiar but the tom couldn’t place her. Pantherclaw nodded in agreement. “Nice and hot,” he stated with a soft huff. He hoped this drought would go away sooner than later. The nights were hot and the days were even hotter. He blinked. “I noticed that she... seemed to be hiding,” he meowed with a slight joking edge. Windclan cats always seemed so flighty so it could be possible that the leader was still mingling with her clanmates. “She isn’t that old,” Pantherclaw laughed with a shrug of his shoulders.

Lotusbreeze Riverclan // The Gathering // Open Lotusbreeze sat close to her clanmates she glowered at Thunderclan's side. Bunch of squirrel catchers can't even show up on time however she could tell there was a fire between Thunderclan and Skyclan. However, she didn't care about them she was much too vain to pay attention to their petty feud. Although I'm pretty petty, The molly didn't care she was too much into herself.
The lilac molly figured it was best to talk to one of her clanmates, after all, it was better than listening to how the other clans are fairing. She knew everyone was lying through their teeth, she knew the reason was to appear strong. But nothing in the forest was fine everything was going to carp. She would let out a loud sigh but didn't want the attention to her for once. She didn't want to look like a fool it would make her look bad and the whole Clan would laugh at her.

basscloud of riverclanaccompanied by Murkpaw | four treesBasscloud knew in his heart that he was right, but giving the smoky grey molly some encouragement was necessary. Plus, it seemed like she needed it after that tumble of hers. He nodded in agreement with her comment, watching Murkpaw as she tried to find the tuft of fur on Cloudstar's head.
"I wish I had a nice tuft of fur sticking out on my pelt somewhere," the grey tabby mewed, glancing down at his sleek pelt. It was too bad his fur was a bit too stiff at times, but at least it made swimming easier... when there was enough water, of course. "The best, huh? I don't doubt that! I haven't seen the best warrior in ThunderClan for moons now," he chirped, purring heavily. "Me? Oh, I'm Basscloud, but I much prefer Oakcat; it sounds better than Basscloud, that's for sure. Imagine being named after a fish! I'd much rather be named after a tree." image source - tumblr | 𝕊’𝕞𝕠𝕣𝕖
