Warblerpaw watched, unblinking, as Spiritstar descended down the treacherous cliff to Emberpaw. He sank his claws into the ground, fear for both the safety of his Clanmate and his mother making his heart pound hard in his ears.

Spiritstar jumped down faster when she saw the ledge breaking away. She landed a ledge above Emberpaw. Panic beat swiftly in her heart. "Reach up for me. I'll grab you!" Emberpaw scrabbled to try and reach for Spiritstar, a strangled grunt of effort escaping her as she tried to recall Briarpatch’s lessons in cliff climbing. She didn’t have a choice but to succeed here, lest she fell to her death! She lifted her neck up higher, hoping Spiritstar could get a grip on her. |

Skyflight felt every muscle in her body tense as she watched the ledge continue to crumble under Emberpaw. She said a quiet prayer to Starclan, hoping that the apprentice and leader would both make it up the cliff safely. The senior warrior blinked as she scented Warblerpaw nearby, she turned to look at the young tom. “I know you’re here with good intent Warblerpaw but please stay away from the edge. We don’t need two apprentices to save.” she meowed firmly, but not unkindly.

Warblerpaw's head snapped up at Skyflight's voice, ears pinned back, but he backed away from the edge. He stood on his toes, craning his neck to watch his mother. He knew Spiritstar was a skilled and capable cat, but he didn't know what would happen if Emberpaw fell.
Why couldn't Hawkpaw and Emberpaw just listen?! Then no one would be in danger!

Spiritstar snapped her jaws for the scruff of Emberpaw's neck, but she only pulled a few hairs out instead. Spiritstar grit her teeth before trying trying again. She strained as far as she could and clamped her jaws on the scruff of Emberpaw's neck. Her bite was a little too hard, but she needed to secure a good grip. I've got her! Spiritstar closed her eyes in the effort of trying to pull Emberpaw up to the ledge she stood on. I'm not going to let go!

Spiritstar closed her eyes in the effort of trying to pull Emberpaw up to the ledge she stood on. I'm not going to let go!Emberpaw tried her best to pull upwards as soon as Spiritstar grabbed her scruff. Her eyes watered with her panic, and she tried to focus on her mother’s assuring cries down from the top ledge. “S-Spiritstar!” She stammered. |

Quickwing had bolted out of camp after Spiritstar when her name was called. She followed her leader through the territory until they got to the cliff side. She paced anxiously, watching Spiritstar descend the cliff to reach Emberpaw. “We have to help her somehow.” She growled, half to her self. How could she help?

(Hi all! I'm Blue! I'm new here and going to just plop my character in camp if anyone is free to RP! I was also told that Blackfire will be her mentor! And just an FYI, Bumblepaw is like... super rude. So pls don't be offended if she says something snarky to/about your characters!)
Bumblepaw lay near the Rockpile, rolling a pebble from one paw to the other. She gave a little huff of discontent. She had been snoozing late into the day and missed out on the patrol that left to rescue her fellow apprentices. What she wouldn't have given to be able to prove herself by being on that patrol, with Spiritstar nonetheless, and simultaneously make fun of her denmate's foolishness. Furthermore, she hadn't seen her mentor, Blackfire, anywhere. "I'm bored out of my MIND!" She complained loudly, to no one in particular. She flicked the pebble away with a reckless shove and rolled onto her back with a sigh, soaking up what little sun that wasn't shaded by the mountain.

Emberpaw was finally able to get a decent enough foothold to help Spiritstar pull her up. She was breathing heavily with panic, but she was able to squeak out a “T-thank you!” “Up here!” Jadefeather called desperately, reaching her upper half down her ledge as she called. “Firefang and Skyflight can hold me, we can get Emberpaw up here! It’s not that far, Emberpaw, see?” She tried to calm her daughter, though the Warrior was visibly tense and worried. |

“They say the bravest cats are all foolish. Honestly, I’m a bit annoyed that I didn’t think to climb Jagged Drop first!” Wingpaw exclaimed from where he was sitting, decently close to Bumblepaw and Flyingpaw. The fearless and energetic apprentice smirked. “I’m always bored around here. We’ve climbed all the low branches, and the cliffs are always hogged.”

"Start climbing up to JadeFeather and Skyflight. I'll support you from behind. If you slip, I'll catch you." Spiritstar nodded to Emberpaw, trying with all her might to hide how terrified she actually was being on this ledge again. They were about the same height as the time Cliffheart accidentally knocked her off. 'If Creeksplash hadn't attacked us that day...' Spiritstar cut the thought of. She needed to focus on now. Not the terrors of her past.

Bumblepaw flicked an ear dismissively at Flyingpaw's concerned tone, rolling back onto her haunches. "If Spiritstar doesn't get to them in time then maybe Emberpaw will hurt her paw or something and learn to stop being such a nuisance." She said dryly, though didn't really mean it in her heart. Truthfully, she was a little worried for her clanmates. She felt like there was a thorn rolling around in her stomach when she thought of her denmate, scared and close to injury... or worse. She pushed the feelings from her mind, regarding them as weak and unwilling to dwell on them. Instead, she gave a mrrow of agreement at Wingpaw's words. "I can't wait to see what Spiritstar does to punish them. I bet she has them picking elders ticks for a whole moon!" She laughed obnoxiously at the thought, then her eyes widened with a sudden new realization. "I wonder if she'll delay their warrior ceremony because of it!" She couldn't help but feel a jealous sort of approval for the possibility. If Emberpaw and Hawkpaw had their apprenticeship delayed, she might would be made a warrior before them! That would give her life-long bragging rights over them. She gave a little huff of disdainful laughter. "Would serve them right!"

Lolo looked around the clearing, then she found Nettlesting, her little heart on her fragile kittypet body started to beat faster and faster. This was a feeling she never had before. The presence of Nettlesting, made her anxious, but in the same time, comfortable.

Spiritstar was a ledge down when Jadefeather was able to grab onto Emberpaw and a bit of relief breezed from her throat. She waited and watched to make sure Emberpaw was fully pulled to the top of the cliff, a ledge down from the weak one. |
