Basilpaw's ears fell lightly at Acepaw's words, and he inwardly panicked. Did Acepaw recognize Spiritstar's behavior too? Had she threatened him, or would she, if she found out that Acepaw was questioning her? He swallowed, looking around quickly before he whispered quietly. "Acepaw... I want to say something, but. I can't risk anyone else hearing it. Uhm... find us a good place in camp, and I'll tell you what I think." He offered quickly. --- "You? Sloppy? If that was sloppy, then I'd love to see your perfect catch. You looked fine to me." Buzzardfall grinned at Firefang, humored by his humbleness. She looked down at the bird, before she offered. "Sure, if you like. Unless you'd like me to climb the tree, and you to leap from below." He nodded, "We can go behind there," he beckoned towards a shrub. "theres a hollow opening in their not much cats know about," he added, starting to head to the area. He internally wondered why Basilpaw suddenly seemed so nervous, and panicked. Did Spiritstar threaten him?Basilpaw quickly glanced around, before following Acepaw into the small hollow. Feeling a bit protected by the secretive location, he whispered quickly. “Something is very wrong with Spiritstar. Very, very wrong. I… I can’t say exactly what, but… but she wasn’t herself. You can’t let anyone know I’m saying this, but- but you’ve got no ties to dark things here in Skyclan like… uhm, some other cats do, so if anyone’s safe to say something to, I’m praying it’s you.” He released a shaky breath. “She’s become… colder. Scary. I don’t know why!”

"Well," Viperpaw started, remembering her experience in the shadowy forest, "Lets catch a bit more prey then we can return," she tried to think of good prey to find and what could please the others, "Should we try tree hunting? You did say it was common," Viperpaw turned her gaze to the trees above, noticing some sparrows chirping happily to one another, clearly not concered of the cats below.

Lilith mused, before she reminded. "To hunt in the trees, you'll first have to learn how to climb trees, without sounding like a lumbering fool and scaring them all off. I'd laugh at you, if you did that." She smirked, before she lashed her tail sharply. "Get to climbing. I want to see if you can do it, or if we'll have to make this a long lesson."

(anycat is fine with me!) (I’ll do that then! I need to use her more.) Cloudberry had retreated to a corner of camp after Viperpaw had been allowed into the Clan. Her eyes betrayed her conflicted guilt, knowing that Nettlesting was growing more and more upset with her refusal to reveal who his father was. She couldn’t bear the thought of the Clan finding out that her kits’ father was a kittypet. Handsome as he had been, it had been a flurry of passion and nothing more… hadn’t it? She shook the thoughts of Captain away, before she quickly took in a breath and calmed herself. It had to be this way, and she couldn’t tell anyone after all this time.

"Climbing trees is like a second nature to me," Viperpaw grinned, "should I show you? I was taught at a young age," the memory flickered back, pantherkit was out and her mother was teaching her to climb, later that night her mother had yelled at pantherkit because she came home so late, her mother had even compared her to Viperpaw, she hated that the most, because it had made her sister cry, and start to spite Viperpaw more.

Skyflight looked at Dreamlily as they made their way toward the border with a hint of pity in her eyes, she knew how much losing a parent hurt, she couldn't imagine losing both of them at once. "I'm sure they think of you often Dreamlily. The twolegplace is an easy place to live if you find the right place. Perhaps they are finally at peace, they can live together and love each other without the burden of the code."

It was clear that Viperpaw's mother was a survivor, whoever she had been, and that those skills would make for a fierce cat in Viperpaw. Lilith snickered, glad that she got an easy apprentice who would be easy to train enough to make Skyclan believe she was a dutiful mentor. Not that she cared much for flattery, as much as she cared for easy living.

Inwardly, a part of her wished that she had just run away after them, left everything behind to finally have both of her parents and live with them, away from the stares and the Code. Even so, she also knew that she loved Skyclan too much to do that. She couldn't bear to leave Whisperstone, even if she felt herself uncaring if she left Echowing behind. Dreamlily gave Skyflight a heavy smile, but thanked her all the same. "I like to think they are now... I hope they're much happier than they were here."

She inspected Viperpaw's kill with a look of interest.

She had blood on her claws, that she hid well behind giving her kits to Skyclan.

She didn't know if it was the tension in the clan lately or the poisoned prey, but something seemed off.

"I'm decent at it," Viperpaw replied simply, "I've already memorized your sent for the most part, and my own shouldn't be that hard to follow," She parted her mouth to find the sent, aha her gaze turned in the genaral direction of the camp, this way, she thought. As Viperpaw raced through the trees, Lilith not far behind, she noticed a few things she had earlier, on their way to training, a large tree stump there, a weird looking rock pile over there, and soon enough, quite to Viperpaw's pleasure, they had reached the camp just at sunset, she glance at Lilith who looked about ready to take that nap she had mentioned earlier. After Viperpaw set down the mouse and sparrow in the pile of other prey and little creatures she walked back over to Lilith, and gave a quick nod, "Thanks, we'll train tommorrow then I suppose? Battle? Or more hunting?" Her mind left her at the thought of battle training, I'm not the best fighter, I know the basics, guess those rouges were good for something, Viperpaw nearly scoffed, I suppose I'll learn whatever she teaches me, BlackBird might teach me some more as well, if I ask.

"Sure, if you like. Unless you'd like me to climb the tree, and you to leap from below." Firefang looked relieved, gripping the branch tighter with his claws. "I'm already up here, so I think I'll give it another go!" he said. The tom waved his tail and looked up. Were the more birds further up the tree?

Spiritstar wouldn't resort to killing him if she found out he was talking about this... would she? He could only assume the terrible thing Acepaw's father did had to be that. He swallowed, looking at Acepaw sadly. "Is that why you came here? Were you trying to get away from what your father became? We'd protect you, you know. You're a Skyclan cat now, we won't let him hurt you." He tried to sound brave and promise it to his friend. ✦⚝Stormscar⚝✦ )) "Yes and yes. In that order." Lilith nodded once, giving a big yawn as she admitted. "I could use a good nap. All this hard work has really tired me out." She complained, somewhat of an overexaggerating tone in her voice as she flicked her tail. She mused. "Think you can track the way back? It's not hard to teach you that, I'm guessing." He shrugged. "He won't find me here," he mewed, "and if he does... I'll make sure he doesn't hurt anycat else," he shook his fur out, and decided to change the subjec to lighten the mood and hopefully cheer up his friend a bit. "Anyway, hows training been? My mentor says I've been doing well," he purred, "What about you? Hopefully well?"

( ✦⚝Stormscar⚝✦)) "Battle training tomorrow. I've only seen half of what you have to offer, kit." Lilith decided, inwardly anticipating the thrill of a good spar. She had a good sense of intuition that the young apprentice would not disappoint, not with a sense of confidence that she clearly had. She flicked her tail. "Make sure to hold your prey high when you walk into camp. We want to impress everyone on the first day, yes?" ( Frozen)) Buzzardfall chuckled with understanding, watching Firefang from below for a moment before she moved to return to a waiting position. She didn't want to mess up Firefang's success now! ( dewbranch)) Cloudberry shook her head slowly, her eyes burning with dark memory as she rasped. "It was a horrible time. We were given two options. Follow Robinstar's order without question, or lose our home either in fleeing forever, or a horrible death. I lost many Clanmates, and I felt like such a coward, having to follow my leader's word as law at the time. Spiritstar's return to the Clans after we had all thought she died was nothing short of a miracle. Her leadership, even more so. Starclan called her to be a medicine cat, then called her to be a leader." She admitted with a hint of admiration. ( FunkyFoxx)) Basilpaw looked at Acepaw with a hint of worry, though the tom's last words seemed to even out the nerves in the tom. He gave a small chuckle. "Quickwing's a good mentor. She's very dedicated to her duties, but she can be... a bit awkward, at times. Shy almost, she doesn't make alot of conversation." He shrugged, before he teased. "Considering she gets distracted alot by Plumwillow."
