"We're slowly but surely recovering from the fire." Willownose nodded in agreement. Some normalcy helped distract her from everything that had happened... and what was still going on. She couldn't relate to Ashfeather's statement, however, being the only member of her litter left with no mate or kits.

"I worry about my brother. Something seems to have driven a wedge between him and Echopaw." Redspring sighed, glancing over to where Frostyfoot was working on one of the dens, exhaustion clear in his eyes. She remembered when he used to be so carefree and playful, always asking her to slow down for him. And now...
"I wish he told me from the start. I wish he never messed around with a loner." She grunted lightly.

Ashfeather looked at Redspring sympathetically. "I hope they work it out soon. Having a parent outside the camp is never fun, and it's especially not easy when you don't have a relationship with your remaining parent." he replied from experience. He wondered internally if his friends had realized he had Shadowclan blood coursing through his veins. Turning back to Willownose he bumped her shoulder lightly with his own, "I'm sure you don't always see it like this but you're sort of lucky you don't have any family drama to deal with."

Willownose flinched at the contact, feeling her face grow warm. "I..." she trailed off, not really knowing how to respond. "I don't know, honestly. I never had siblings to begin with, but I still remember my parents. Nobody expects to lose them so young."

Spiritstar padded down the cliff path, smiling softly at the clanmates she passed. She bounded over to the Rockpile and jumped on it with three graceful bounds. "Let all cats old enough to climb gather beneath the Rockpile for a Clan meeting!"

"I think of mine sometimes. Adderclan took my father from me. It was a memory I will never forget." Redspring growled lightly, missing her father and trying not to let her emotions break her resolve. She shook her head. "Losing kin is always painful. But it's our job to live on, and honor their memory. You honor alot of memory, Willownose. You're the most respectable Warrior I know." She mewed, honest in her words.

Sparrowstrike jumped at Spiritstar's call, gathering the kits close to him.
Briarpatch trotted over, looking at Spiritstar with interest.
The rest of my cats gathered.

Ashfeather purred quietly, it was nice to see Redspring's harsher exterior fall around them, knowing it was a sign of friendship and trust. "Come on you two, let's go prove to our clan that we've learned from our ancestors and let's find some prey."

Jadefeather lifted her head from her spot in the sunlight, nodding for Emberkit and Hawkkit to find a good spot to listen to Spiritstar.
Dreampaw turned her head, glancing up from her spot near Witherpaw, who slunk silently in the shade of the rocks in camp, moving quietly to hear his leader better.
Redspring flicked her ear, looking up. "Looks like we'll have to go after this meeting. Do you suppose it's a ceremony?" She questioned.

Willownose was about to agree to leave before Spiritstar called the meeting. She huffed, sitting down next to Ashfeather and Redspring. "Maybe. Could one of us become mentors?"

Spiritstar smiled when the clan gathered. She stole a glance to the nursery and nodded to the queens. "I'm sure everyone is aware that quite a few of our kits have reached the age of six moons." Spiritstar purred and flicked her tail for the kits to come forward. "Emberkit! Hawkkit! Please step forward!"
Splashecho happily nudged her mate when she sat down beside him.

Ashfeather perked up, settling down beside Redspring and Willownose, "It'd be fun to take our apprentices out together, I'm sure Weaselpaw would love some more company." he mewed warmly.
Sparrowstrike leaned over to lick Splashecho's ear, "Do you think this is it?" he whispered, not wanting to let the kits hear in case he was wrong.

Emberkit's eyes brightened as she leaped to her paws, nudging excitedly at Hawkkit's shoulder as she stepped forwards. She could feel her mother's proud gaze on her, Jadefeather's warmth always evident. More than anything, she hoped she looked as tall and strong as her father, glancing at the deputy quickly.

(hello! Hi, finally!)
Nightsky lazed out on a cliff, watching her kits with a small purr.
Lavendersky tipped her head some, listening to the ceremonies from her den.
Sandpaw was bouncing up and down happily, causing Amberpaw to hiss and try to hold her down to clean her usually messy fur.

"Emberpaw, your mentor will Briarpatch and Hawkpaw, your mentor will be Willownose! I trust that both of them will turn you into fine warriors for SkyClan!" (I'm really sorry if these feel like shotgun ceremonies. I would make them more personal, but I don't know SkyClan that well...  ) |

Ashfeather purred as Willownose's name was called, gently nudging her towards the new apprentice.
Sparrowstrike leaned into her touch before turning back to focus on the ceremony, their kits would be next!
Springkit and Twigkit sat up straight beside their parents, hoping that Spiritstar would be calling their names up next.

Emberpaw purred proudly, glancing excitedly over to Briarpatch. She had always found the she-cat to be bright and fun, something she could relate to. She waited for her mentor to touch her nose.
Redspring glanced at Willownose, proud that her friend was getting an apprentice, though she felt a twinge of regret that both her and Ashfeather would be busy mentoring while she would have more free time than them.

When the new apprentices met with their new mentors, Spiritstar allowed a moment for the clan to cheer the young cats' new names. She then looked over at Splashecho, Sparrowstrike, and their kits. "Flyingkit, Twigkit, Springkit! You have also reached the age of six moons! Please, step forward for you own apprentice ceremonies!"
Flyingkit nearly squealed with delight when Spiritstar called her name. She bounded forward in long and high leaps, lips grinning from ear to ear.

Willownose perked up in surprise as her name was called, not expecting her statement to end up true. She approached Hawkpaw with a nod. "I'll teach you everything I know." she vowed. And maybe I'll get to spend more time with Ashfeather, she thought before stopping herself again. Why am I thinking about him so much?
"Emberpaw! Hawkpaw!" Pheasantcry and Firefang cheered for the apprentices.

Twigkit puffed out his chest, trying to look mature as he walked calmly over to the leader behind his sisters.
Sparrowstrike watched them fondly, hoping that Spiritstar had picked good mentors for them.
