The building seemed to be filling up with more and more people. At the moment, Irene seemed to be rather thankful that things were more calmed down and less crowded. The only thing she didnβt appreciate was having her conversation barged into. She rubbed her temple, acknowledging that her name was, indeed, Irene. βLike you need other people to make you look stupidβ Irene muttered under her breath, not really caring if other people heard her. Her attention moved back to the newcomer. βHephaestus, aye? Guess weβre going to have a hard time figuring out which Gods didnβt decide to capture us from where we were before. Maybe they want us to fight each other like that one book. I canβt remember the name of it though.β
--------------------------------------------
Theo took the cup of black coffee he was given, silently dreading the fact that he actually had to drink it. Maybe he could accidentally spill it, but it was likely that the others would think of him as a clutz. Plus, they might end up getting him another one out of pity. If he couldnβt drink it, it would make him look like a fool in front of all the other people there, especially the ones who ordered black coffee as well. He was just going to have to bear with it for the time being. Carefully lifting the cup to the mouth, he took a small sip. Theoβs face contorted a bit in disgust as he slowly set the mug down. He hated it. He hated it so much. One of his eyes twitched slightly as he gave a small grin. βItβs a bit hot,β Theo stated, still wanting to save face in case people were paying attention. Lucky for him, they seemed more busy with the newcomers. One of them was the black-haired dude whoβd ran off screaming bloody muder. Guess he finally calmed down.
Pascal looked around the cafe, taking note at how fancy it was. The scent of garlic struck his nose, causing him to look in the direction of the kitchen. Someone was already cooking? Guess the place had food as well. Noticing people sitting around drinking coffee, he strode over to where the beverages were. Stopping an inch away from Theo, he asked βIβd like to get some coffee, if you donβt mind me asking.β
Theo slowly inched himself away so the other man wasnβt standing in his personal space, βDude, you need to specify, they canβt read your mind.β
Pascal furrowed his brow, βOf course, I would like Black Coffee-β
Of course itβs black coffee, thatβs all people are ordering, Theo thought, shaking his head.
β-Like the abyss, or the trenches of the ocean where not even light can reach it.β
Theo just glanced at him, trying to figure out what he was saying. He moved away once again, not exactly knowing what his deal was. He glanced down at his nearly full cup of coffee and slid it over to the man, βIβm not all that thirsty, so you can take mine.β
Pascal looked down at the cup and over at Theo, giving him a nod of thanks. Lifting up the cup, he drank it down in the matter of seconds, apparently unbothered by the heat or the taste. He set the cup down on the counter, blankly staring ahead βCan I have more, I donβt intend on sleeping tonight.β
Theo stared at him, dumbfounded. How?! Was the only thought that crossed his brain as he sat there, unable to process what just happened. In a moment of clarity, he pushed himself out of his chair βOkay, Iβm done.β Without another word, he turned and left with a look of defeat on his face.
(Iβll say I had a lot of fun writing this response XD)

Mercin noticed the other new people getting introduced. He stalked off. Why me? He asked Artemis. He hated coming here only to be ignored. But he liked it. He got used to it. He didn't have any friends. The traits for it, definitely but the spirit? No way. He hated people for the pain he was given by them. Please, why me? "Because you are the one." He heard Artemis' voice. "For what? To cause me pain? I don't want to be here! Also, I'm a guy! Why would you choose me? I hate this! I want to go back home!" This time he saw Artemis. Her expression was softened. "I wish I could tell you. You surpass everyone else here. You are meant for something greater than anyone would think. You may be lonely. But it is needed. People will realize your greatness. As I have. When it is your time. You will see, my champion, you will see." Artemis disappeared. He wanted too cry and run to forest.

(Don't worry Pallas, he asked why me, for why did he have to come here when he didn't want to, and he got used to being alone so he liked to be alone) (Saying how it's happened so much, that he likes to be alone, sounds really depressing now that I say it, lol)
Okay He thought. It's normal for me to be ignored. I'm only staying here for Artemis. Now that he regained his cool, he noticed how hungry he was. Mercin walked to the dining hall. (That's what it's called right?) He saw other teens. He pulled his hoodie over his face. And made sure no one would look at him. He had to admit, he wasn't bad looking at all. He was actually quite handsome. But also kind of beautiful. Because of his soft features and kind face. He wouldn't show it though. He settled on some food. He ate in the darkness of a corner.

The Champion of Ares- River Gellis
River glanced at Chiara. "Well, he certainly hit like one," He complained. But he was still smiling that overly confident smile. Even when both of the girls said they were uncomfortable about the blood. He shrugged again and pulled the gauze he managed to bring with him before being transported here. There wasn't a lot of it, maybe enough to wrap around one hand and his bicep. He tossed it in the air and caught it before seeing Echo frown.
He dropped his smile, Within the blink of an eye she had lost all confidence in herself. She looked so defeated... "Hey, kid," he said quietly and raised an eyebrow. "Be confident in yourself. You're the only one here I can tolerate and that's saying something. Look at me," he gestured to himself and scoffed. "I'm an angry little shit I already proved that. Don't be scared to show your true self," he muttered with a wink before slowly getting to his feet.
Tossing the roll of gauze up into the air and catching it again River looked between Echo and Chiara. "I'm going to clean the blood and find a way out of here," he announced as he started walking away. He didn't look back as she walked away.

The Champion of Thoth- Jason Bates
Jason did his best not to laugh at Irene's comment. He didn't say anything on it but he couldn't help the smile creeping onto his face. He didn't care for how Clementine was speaking to them. He wasn't going to say anything about it but he wasn't going to not appreciate Irene's joke.
But at the mention of a book Jason turned his attention to Irene fully and raised his eyebrows. "If you be a little more specific I could probably tell you. I practically live in libraries," He beamed.

Portland, Oregon
In a quaint office of a Counseling center in Portland, Oregon, a young feminine and masculine figure stood, arms flailing about angrily, as they spoke. A woman, with long brunette hair in a messy ponytail, and stylish glasses listened, writing things into a notebook as the young adult grumbled angrily.
"Have you thought about where they are coming from?" The woman questioned, frowning as the other occupant flashed an angry glare in her direction, though her eyes rolled, tapping her pen on her clipboard. "I'm not saying that they are right or anything, but it's only fair to ask."
"They're just being horrible parents! I mean, to be fair my siblings suck just as bad as they do." Clementine, the young adult that didn't particularly have a gender, glared angrily at a poster in the room, "Also, I've been here quite a bit, I've never seen you before, Martha."
The woman, Martha it would seem, simply smiled secretly, tipping her head at Clementine before crossing her own arms, "Must not have been paying attention, Clementine. Now, what has you in such a blunder?"
"My family! I'm-I try so hard for them, but it's always Oh look at Rashida, you should be more like Rashida, she's marrying a nice Egyptian man that we arranged for her to meet, why can't you be like her, Clementine? Or it's just Oh, look at that boy, Clementine, he is rich, why don't you be more like him?" Clementine stopped for a moment, grabbing at their short dark hair in frustration, "They don't want to marry me off like Rashida or Omar, because oh no, who would want to marry the androgyne?"
Martha, for her part, just bore a sweet smile as Clementine complained, arms crossed over their chest. Years and years of comparisons and lack of acceptance had gotten to Clementine. When they were a child, their parents suggested simply pretending to be female, and they had for a while. However, they quickly found the treatment of Egyptian American females wasn't something they quite enjoyed. So they attempted being a guy for some time, but it yielded the same results. No matter what, nothing felt right other than just being themselves, and their parents never accepted that.
"I mean for f*cks sake! How hard is it to accept and understand people? Why does the stupid pronouns they use matter? Aren't we all, I don't know, people still?" They turned to Martha, seeming to fall under her gaze from confident to just a tad bashful, a small amount of red coating their cheeks, a mumbled apology escaping them.
"No worries," Martha amended, writing down another thing on her paper. At least she wasn't judging Clementine, or maybe she was, but not for the reason's Cleo expected. "You're passionate, there's nothing wrong for wanting to be treated fairly."
"Exactly!" They easily agreed, plopping back down into the swivel chair that they were supposed to remain in. They couldn't help it though, they had a knack of getting into trouble or fights for being a bit harsh on their opinions in the past, and also for not backing down. They had the bruises from their mother and father to prove it. "I mean, Rashida and Omar aren't the worst, they just act so entitled. Mama? Papa? Ya Ibn el Sharmouta."
The Arabic tongue, while not often used, came easily as Clementine ranted about their parents. Martha, however, set her clipboard down, with a long and exaggerated sigh.
"Yes, they are sons of bitches, are they not?" She responded, sounding just about as annoyed as Clementine about their parents, though Cleo was shocked that she even understood. "You seem to have a good sense of wrong and right, I like that."
"Well, I guess someone has to, statistically," They grumbled, kicking their legs up onto Martha's desk as they leaned back.
Martha chuckled, before she looked at Clementine with narrowed eyes, "I, Ma'at, the goddess of justice and order as part of the Egyptian Kingdom, select Clementine Lester as my champion," Cleo simply watched her, confused by her words, was this a prayer? Didn't this woman know that Ma'at was a myth and part of the old Egyptian religion? "In return of gaining my abilities to see the truth and to judge, I will act as their guide. Ra knows they'll need it."
She then leaned forward, hand snatching at Clementine's, though Cleo stood up much faster than her, making a bolt for the door instead to escape the presumably crazy woman.
However, Martha-Ma'at was faster, jumping over the table and kicking out her leg, sending Clementine flying forward as her fingers skimmed their arm. She seemed to hold them in place from falling, leaning down to whisper in their ear, "You are the judge, Clementine, not the executioner," and before they could respond, she stepped behind them, practically lifting them and throw them towards the door. That's when it got trippy.
The room swam into a mirage, their horizontal fall continuing much longer than it should have, that is, before they ungracefully slammed into a wall.

Luka Ravana
After a few minutes of just staring at the door, the girl managed to get her new body to climb up. Sure, it was impractical to use her large mouth to bit the door-knob, but she wasn't about to try being some kind of lasso to the door.
After getting it cracked open, she quickly unlatched her jaw, and slithered out, which, to be sincerely honest, kind of left her sour.
She was just honestly hoping that no one was scared of snakes, because that could go over about as well as the Holocaust did.
Eventually, she slithered down the railings of the stairs. Her form of the red-bellied black snake had an extremely venomous bite, and was native to Australia. She also didn't choose to be a snake, but whatever, it was starting to get kind of cool.
She was disheartened to see that people were still in the blasted main area. River, Chiara, Echo, Clementine, and even more people.
She was tempted to hiss at River, just to see how he would reply. She thought better of it quickly, realizing that she'd likely end up kicked into the wall, and thank you very much I'd like to avoid anymore bodily harm today.
Still, she was a snake, just slithering through the main room. And not a tiny garter snake at that, mind you, she was still small for a snake, just like she was small for a human. She reared herself up some, wobbling slightly as she did so, not used to the balance yet, and turned her body slightly, her tongue coming out and a hiss escaping her, much to her annoyance, because blasted tongue I didn't tell you to do that.

Kaz McDermont Champion of Hecate
Something in Kaz caused him to turned towards the door. It wasn't a voice that told him but, something in him knew, someone had just come in but he didn't see any new face walk through the door. He could feel them before they entered and waited a moment for someone to walk through. "This is a gift to you. Recognition, and use it for protection." Hecate's voice was almost tinny in sound and echoed in his brain. Kaz blinked and looked around the room for that woman who'd brought him here. Maybe she'd been the one who was coming in? She been a smaller woman, middle-aged with unruly brown hair. Her arms were adorned with wiccan and witchcraft symbols in tattoos (Hecate's attempt to look more modern) and her eyes were a sharp bright green color. Though her features had been distinctly Greek in nature, something about her had triggered that fight or flight in Kaz when they'd met. Kaz then spotted what had tipped him off to someone entering. A snake? He wandered towards the creature, coming from Florida, especially only being about a 35 minute drive from the Everglades, dangerous creatures weren't anything new to him. Pushing the gum wrapper into his pocket he made his way towards the serpent. "How the hell did you get in here?" He questioned as he came up to the snake, giving it space, though wanting to figure out yet another layer of this strangeness. Crouching down his eyes focused on the snake and he hissed at it, not really trying to talk to it but, what else was he supposed to do in this situation? He laughed a littleat himself. "You don't look like any snake I've ever seen. You look like one of those snakes from the zoos." he laughed a little more and glanced around to see if anyone else noticed.

Luka Ravana
Something about animal instinct was a bit odd. The way things shifted, her senses melted into whatever form she was. Her head raised to watch a new guy, one she hadn't seen earlier.
She attempted a grin, though all it did was come off as a slight curve to her snout. His words only reminded her of her predicament. She was sure Loki was talking to her, but she was electing to ignore that.
"Look, I'm not from a bloody zzzoo, mate," Stupid hiss hadn't left, whatever. This seemed quite entertaining though, so she decided not to mention that she was one of the other Champions.
"Sssso, I sssee that Aresssss' boy issss not sssso ssssstuck up and annoying like he wantsss everyone to believe," She commented, her thoughts aloud, her gaze watching River, she had seen him near Echo, though, sitting with her. She was being urbane, it seemed, and if she had arms currently, they would be crossed.
Her gaze returned to Kaz, deciding to slither in a circle around him, slow, and purposeful, "Oh, a new champion to fight me, I sssee," Not like that was her intention, but Loki had uttered it in her mind, and she had repeated it. It felt wrong, at first, but it had to possibility to cause mischief?

Kaz McDermont Champion of Hecate
As the snake spoke Kaz blinked in surprise and sighed, "Of course more nonsense." He laughed a little though and arched his brow. A snake that talks, a teleportation to a strange place, all this talk of gods and goddesses. Kaz watched her slither about him and listened to the hissing whispers. "More witchcraft." Hecate also sighed in his head, "Do be careful, be thoughtful." Kaz listened to Hecate and smirked, "Be thoughtful?" he questioned Hecate out loud, forgetting that this voice was in his head alone. Of course she would nag him about being thoughtful, what was so bad about the way he made his decisions? "Mmmhmm, Champion of Hecate, at least that's what she told me." a small shrug, "So, if you're not from the zoo then where did you come from?" Kaz tipped his head lightly to the snake and stood to his full height, watching her circle about him. Was it supposed to be scary, of course his heart rate had increased and there was a bit of fear in him, but after everything that had happened why should he really even be surprised? Kaz pushed his hands into the windbreaker pockets, eyes keeping track of her, still chewing his gum non-chalantly.

Dillon seemed happy with the explanation Laurie had given, nodding and listening quietly for a while as the others talked.
It seemed that Guinevere was right about the food as well, because the smells coming from the kitchen were amazing. Laurie was pretty happy about that, because he hadnβt even realised how hungry he was before he smelled that food.
Guinevereβs question made Laurie realise he hadnβt even thought about who he wanted to nominate or vote for. It really wasnβt something that had particularly crossed his mind.
βIβm not sure,β Laurie replied βI think water girl, Naida, she seems like she could be a good leader, as far as keeping people in line goes. Maybe the australienne, she seems to know what sheβs doing.β
Honestly, Laurie wasnβt sure who he wanted to nominate or vote for. He was considering River, mainly because he felt a strange chaotic kinship with him, like even though he was angry, he might actually be a really fun person. Plus, heβd definitely hate being leader, and Laurie figured it might be kind of fun to mess with him
βBut honestly I donβt know. What about you guys?β
He wanted to know what the others thought on this issue. In fact, Dillon spoke up at that moment.
βI think Chiara seems like a good possible betβ he shrugged βMaybe Clementine. But uh... I was possibly thinking of voting for you two actually.β
Dillon gestured at that point to Guinevere and Griffin respectively.
Then Pascal apparently chugged a cup of coffee and immediately asked for another, causing Dillonβs jaw to drop.
βWoah, man, itβs coffee not vodka, donβt have to take it like a shot.β Laurie cautioned
βYouβre going to end up vibrating or something if you drink all that.β Dillon added on
This was, to be fair, a lot of caffeine.
