The Champion of Achilles- Griffin WyattThe Champion of Heracles- Ariella Jackson______________________________________________________________________________________________ As Griffin poured the coffee and served it to the people that wanted it he looked up and caught sight of a new girl. She looked just as confused as he felt about this whole situation but he gave her a welcoming nod and a gentle smile. "Hello new girl. I'm Griffin. We just got here too," he explained quickly then grabbed another cup, poured coffee in it, and extended it out to her. "You want some?" he asked Ariella listened to the people that spoke about their stories, sipping on her soda. If they were all nobodies then why were they here? Why were they chosen? She didn't dwell on it too much longer before the girl walked up to them very confused. Ariella smiled and waved to her as Griffin introduced himself and offered her a cup of coffee. "I'm Ariella," she introduced herself before getting up and extending her hand to the girl. "Nice to meet you. What's your name?"

Seely Kaase Champion of Sekhmet
Seely felt a wave of relief wash over her as the others she'd come across seemed welcoming. she nodded happily to the boy who offered her coffee and moved to an open seat. "Dank, I'd love some. Just black please." The German vocab slipping in once more, though her English was fluent that lilting accent was prevalent. She offered Griffin a light smile and looked to the others in the room. "My name is Seely." She replied softly to Ariella and then pulled some hair back from her face. Her eyes moved over all the others, recognizing that all of them were rather young and she sighed softly once again. More relief washing over her. You could see her shoulders fall from tension and deep brown of her eyes softened a bit as well. "Vielen dank" she replied once more nodding up to Griffin as he brought her the cup of coffee as well. As she took a sip, the warmth of the fresh brew washed over her and, finally, a smile fell to her lips. Though this place was strange and she was still very unsure, this felt better. Warm coffee and a more welcoming group to greet her.
Sanna Dubois Champion of Hephaestus
Sanna scoffed lightly at the brisk nature with which she was greeted by Clementine but nodded in recognition. Her gaze moved over to Jason and Irene as they were each introduced in turn. "Gods and Champions, quel ennui." she repeated with a tone of more or less incredulous nature, French slipping in as with many others here in the Pantheon and their native tongues. Then she recalled the voice in her head and as if on cue Hephaestus chimed in, "They're each like you. Chosen and picked by another." "Sanna Dubois, he called himself Hephaestus." her response was curt and direct. She needn't bother with flouncy words or embellishment. They were apparently all here for the same reasons so why bother explaining something they were all going through simultaneously. Her gaze shifted to each of the others once more. Curious. They seemed so young. "It's much harder to mold an adult who is set in their ways, you are all young and easy to assist and train." Sanna scoffed and rolled her eyes again to Hephaestus.

(I was thinking of adding one more boy to my characters, would Hecate be a viable goddess to use within the Greek Pantheon?) Absolutely! You could certainly use her. She just wasnβt on the page yet because sheβs not one of the main Olympic gods and hadnβt yet been claimed. But yes you can absolutely claim her)

(Awesome! So I was reading through her and trying to come up with powers/abilities he might have and since sheβs a patron of gateways and paths and journeys, maybe he would be able to open doors and gates to different places (obviously a work in progress and may just randomly walk through a door and end up in a different room, and sometimes it just doesnβt happen at all) but before that heβs just able to sense who is coming and kind of have a great sense of direction and all that? Would that make sense?)

Well, it sure did seem in general like none of them had I exactly had such a great time of it before the Pantheon. He supposed t hat made sense. No god would want to choose somebody whoβd had a good life, who would be missed. And as sick to his stomach as it made him to know that he wouldnβt be missed, that nobody would even notice he was gone, he had to put that aside now. This wasnβt about that
He was glad to have his coffee, though, and was just taking a sip of the warming liquid when a girl showed up in the entrance to the room, before being quickly welcomed by the group and provided with a cup of coffee.
βIβm Laurent, but everyone calls me Laurie,β the man greeted
As to her question of what was going on... well, it was a long story but she deserved to hear it.
βIn a nutshell, our current working theory is that weβve been chosen by deities and mythological figures for... something... and brought here. Weβre electing leaders of the group at mealtime in about an hour. But basically, we know about as much as you do right now.β he explained
Well, that was the best he could explain. At least before heβd had his coffee.
It was only at that moment that he felt something in his hair, and reached into the dark curls only to find a piece of shiny confetti. Oh yeah, someone had been celebrating a birthday at the club so theyβd had a ton of confetti released. Fun.

Dillon just nodded in response to the goddess statement, because of course Pascal was correct. When he suggested getting a drink though, that he was patched, Dillon nodded in response.
βOf course,β he said as he rose to his feet βthere must be some kind of kitchen around here somewhere.β
Of course there was, and with Hera giving him directions as to where the two of them could go to get a drink, it didnβt take too long before they emerged into the room with the kitchenette area where the others were having coffee.
βHey,β he greeted those he recognised βmind if we join you?β
That was when he noticed someone new, a face he didnβt recognise. Had even more people arrived here? Of course they had, he supposed it wasnβt like the gods could have enough champions. More were always useful.
βHi,β he greeted the new girl βIβm Dillon.β
With this introduction, he approached to join the group. It would be nice to actually get to know everyone, he supposed. Obviously the group must have gotten things at least somewhat sorted out in the time heβd been gone, since a group of them were now relaxing and drinking coffee.
βSo, whatβd we miss?β the British boy asked, gesturing to indicate himself and Pascal
Might as well get caught up.

(Alright here he is!) Champion of Hecate
Cassius (Kaz) McDermont | 21 | Male | 6'2" | 210 | The Decisive
"I took the once less travelled by, and that has made all the difference"
Relaxed and often unbothered by what others think of him, Kaz is a free-spirit. He is strong-willed and goofy, often throwing caution to the wind and going for whatever he wants. The young man always acts quickly, and on his own accord, not giving second-thought to what he says or does, which has landed him in plenty of hot water in the past. Though these are his decisions and what should he care?
The goddess of crossroads and boundaries has gifted Kaz with the ability to sense who is beyond doorways and entrances. It's more of just an immediate thought of knowing who's there, not sensing or aura or knowing their "vibes". Another "gift" from Hecate that Kaz can't/hasn't gotten control over is that sometimes (not always) if he walks through doorways he'll end up in a different space. Hecate promises he will learn to control this (sometime).

(Also, if anyone feels like we should close for a while or anything at any point, let me know. I don't care myself either way, putting further limits on characters for new members or whatnot, hence why I'm leaving this open for everyone. We're currently at 24 characters, I believe, just for reference.)

Guinevere Sharpe
So many new people! Guinevere just stared blankly ahead, before she noticed Dillon and the skittish kid she never caught the name of. Regardless, she waved with little care, watching Seely with her passive, almost intimidating eyes.
She finally shrugged, "Laurie pretty much summarized our entire situation. I'm sure Lorenzo will have dinner ready soon, if that smell is anything to go by," indeed, the aroma of spaghetti and garlic and spices was filling the air.
"My name is Guinevere, chosen of Aphrodite," she introduced herself with her confidence, not really that bothered by the company, they all seemed fun and chill, "Any ideas on who you guys will nominate? Or do you guys just want to gossip, I'm good with either," It was a silly conversation starter, but hey, it was something. Anything to keep from repeating the same sentence again and again and again.

Seely Kaase Champion of Sekhmet
Seely nodded to all the information being given to her and sighed. Her eyes met Laurie's as he explained too and she took another sip of her coffee. "Well I mean that's better than no explanation I guess?" a light shrug of her slender shoulders and Seely looked around at the large room. It was impressive and very well stocked and she laughed a little. "At least they were expecting all of us and gave us enough coffee." Her smile was soft and at the mention of going to the dining hall and getting a real meal, her eyes widened in the slightest and she shivered in delight. A true meal, something filling and something....free! Perhaps this would turn out for the better, even though Seely still had some small doubts in the back of her mind. At Guinevere's question Seely arched a brow gently and nodded, "I'd love to here what everyone thinks so I could make a valid vote!"
Eydan and Kita
The two had managed to find each other somehow. Eydan's protective tendencies kicking in when he spotted the demure figure of Kita sitting on the floor on her own. He assured her things were okay and helped her to her feet. Kita took carefully to the tall young man. "So, Athena. I remember hearing about her in school when I was able to go." he chimed brightly to her, "That's really cool! I mean I don't really know what's going on but, I think that's awesome that she chose you, obviously that has to mean something!" Eydan tried his hardest to help the young girl, she was so small and seemed to scared, he just wanted to assist. Plus, it was another person to accompany him on his search for anyone else around her. Kita sighed lightly and nodded in return. "Sh-she was nice when she greeted me." her voice still finding itself after the ordeal. But, her eyes flicked up to the helpful Eydan, he was bright and bubbly and seemed trustworthy. "Who brought you here then?" she inquired softly as they continued. "He called himself Horus. He was intimidating for sure." In Eydan's head a deep chuckle echoed at the comment to Horus' appearance. Soon the two managed to find the group in the cafe. He walked Kita to a couple open seats and pulled a chair out for her. Nodding in greeting to the others, not interrupting their conversations but, giving a wave of greeting and heading over to grab some coffee for he and Kita.
Kaz McDermont Champion of Hecate
Kaz found his way to the larger group comforting Echo on the ground. There were so many others here. They must all have gone through something similar. So many tones and accents drifted through the air he felt rather out of place. The Miami native was familiar with Spanish for sure, and maybe bits of Haitian French but, that was about it. As he entered he felt a bit out of place and settled himself back against a wall, pushing his hands into the pockets of his jacket. "So what was the point of you dragging me here then? Thought you'd said I'd be happier?" He thought to the woman who'd called herself Hecate. He'd heard her voice in his mind earlier and figured she must still be there. He was pretty quick to accept something that seemed even just remotely better than what he'd been dealing with back in Miami. "Just be patient. Everyone is still getting their feet under them." Hecate scolded him gently. Kaz sighed and shrugged. His eyes moved over each of the others here and he dug a pack of gum out of his pocket and unwrapped a piece. He fiddled with the wrapper, searching around for a trash can or anything else to toss the trash into.

Echo Deirdre || Clementine Lester
Echo watched him, almost forgetting some of her fear from before as he joked, a small, soft laugh escaping her. He was nice, and nice was rare. And so was the girl, Chiara, if Echo remembered correctly.
She then looked at Chiara, smirked a little tiny smirk, and directed it back at River, bringing her finger up and wiggling it, a way of saying that Chiara must have been right. Though, her actions caught up with her quickly, her features paling slightly as her hands dropped, nestled into her lap, and she looked away. She must have looked like a fool, waving her hands around and making faces like that.
All in all, however, they seemed much kinder here than they did back home. Even if there was almost a fight, it still had a basis in a funny home. Not over drugs, or territory, but over silly egos and reputation. "Thanks," she echoed again, this time, it was clear, and crisp, but still unbelievably soft.
"Hephaestus?" Clementine sarcastically whistled, "The fact that this just keeps getting more believable and less like a lucid dream is honestly horrifying. Imagine if the little water bitch and Aussie were right." They then glanced at Jason, picking up on his tone with a glare sent his way. They remembered a little too late that it would do little to harm a blind boy.
"My name's Clementine, I said that over, but I can understand not hearing that over sudden blindness," not that those senses are in any way connected but yeah, whatever. They thought in their sardonic nature, before sitting on one of the many lofty couches, throwing their head back, and just letting off a long, loud sigh. "I hate it when people are right it makes me look stupid."

Lorenzo alexander
Lorenzo was still slaving away in the kitchen, chopping up vegetables, which seemed to be stocked into the Pantheon almost like magic, and smiling as he continued in his part. Aroma was filtering through the mansion, and it reminded him a lot of home. Well, what home was like before it all got jumbled.
He shook his head of the thoughts, wiping sweat from his brow with the back of his hand, before closing the ovens he was using.
He walked out, just slightly, leaning against the wall as he watched the group drinking coffee, a dopey smile taking over his face as he waved.
He was the living, walking proof that having bad things happen to you didn't mean you had to be any less hopeful. Sure, the missing hole in his life that his lost love left in his heart when she left never quite filled, and the disappointment that follows him due to his family's expectations.
As he watched the group, happily drinking coffee and talking, he decided that maybe, just maybe, he had a family right there, and maybe he was the only one that knew it.
Before long, an alarm chimed, and he hopped over, snapped from his silly thoughts as he went to prepare the garlic knots.

Luka Ravana
"There issss a lot wrong with thissss bloody sssssituation," Luka all but hissed, literally, finding the words hard to spit out of her mouth. She, for one, had ginormous venomous fangs now protruding from...snout? What were snake's mouths called?
Whatever, blasted snake mouths, she decided upon, sucked.
Along with everything else that was happening at the moment, "Can you try that again? I couldn't hear beyond all the hissing." Loki was teasing her, snickering as he said the words.
"What did you bloody do to me?!" She didn't hiss as bad, probably because it wasn't a sentence with any sibilance.
"I mean, I was a shapeshifter, it makes sense that you are too, I did give you my-"
"Whatever, how do I change back?" She was simply avoiding the hissing as much as possible, convulsing upon the ground in an attempt to sit upright. Then again, she didn't have any legs anymore. She was a snake. So her stability and balance was completely whacked.
There was no answer at all, which made it obvious. He had no clue how to turn her back. And she would stay like a snake forever, and then she would die just like her-
"You look like a spasming worm."
"That'sssss becausssse I am one!" Ignoring her unhelpful guide, Luka decided to just stop trying to force her body to turn back, as it did absolutely nothing to help the situation at hand. Instead, she slithered towards her door, clumsily at that, and stared at the door for a long while, "Loki, I'm ssstuck. I don't have handsss."
(Honestly, I got bored and decided to write out Lorenzo and Luka follow-ups, their technically free. Lorenzo's in the kitchen, Luka's in her room arguing with Loki.)
