Lmao love that)) Minsy pulled the reins back, coming to a full stop in front of the massive head. She slowly clapped in awe of her friend. "Well done, Earwen! One down, just one more to go!" She hoped that these two fell beasts would end up being the last of their kind. For real, this time, considering the last time they thought all the beasts were dead these two decided to rain on that parade. "Same plan for the last one?" Minsy could still see the shadow flying through the air far ahead of them. I literally just stood there watching it, think I shot one arrow at the most... it just kept sticking its weapon in some fire and just... died ]] Earwen rolled over and sat up with a groan. "Don't get thrown off a fell beast. Not fun," she muttered. She dusted off her clothing as she stood and rubbed the shoulder she had landed on before turning to Minsy. "Thank you," she said. "I think I will try to see if I can recover some arrows from this one before we head to the next." Her eyes went to the beast's head and she approached it. "My knives as well."

Minsy nodded and scooted off her horse until she was close enough to the ground to not fall. She went to pull an arrow from its wing and the beast twitched, causing her to leap back and draw her sword with a shout. "Cursed nerve ends." She muttered and angrily tried to pull an arrow, snapping it in the process

Earwen started searching the wings, treading carefully over the charred skin. She frowned as most of the arrows had been reduced to ashes and arrowheads but she couldn't say she hadn't seen that coming. Moving toward the head she managed to retrieve a few and stopped a moment to get a good look at it, as this would likely be her only chance. "They look just as evil up close as they do from afar," she said with a grimace. Then, after getting her knives back and cleaning them she returned to her horse. "I am ready for the next one," she said.

Minsy let out a small groan before her eyes moved upwards to look at the sky, scanning. She almost immediately caught sight of the second shadow and remounted her steed. "Shall we begin heading towards it and make use of the same strategy? Or do you want to mix it up?" She joked a bit

"I think the same strategy would probably be the safest," Teonvan said. "Though with the other rangers there we will have larger numbers to our advantage." He took off with his horse with his eyes on the beast. Being much closer to it now he noticed it was moving a lot more, deftly dodging and weaving in the air whereas the other hadn't. He thought it odd, but didn't dig much deeper into it.
"I see many hours of arrow crafting in our future," Earwen said to Minsy. She glanced to her friend with a tired smile before riding after Teonvan. "We could start of with fire arrows this time around?"

"Oh boy. My favorite task." Minsy grinned. She stared it down, squinting. "Guys, this one might be a little harder to hit!" Her grin quickly disappeared in to a frown. They had a long session of fletching to do after bringing this beast down. She hoped they had enough arrows left

I've been adding in the different 'gifts' from each Valar for when I eventually work that whole thing in I'm gonna be adding in some guidelines soon under the rules, probably won't have it be a thing until we're a bit further into the plot tho~]] "Wonderful," Earwen muttered as she watched the beast. It would circle the small group of rangers in the air for a while before diving down for a swooping attack either with its talons or its fangs, and so far seemed to be doing a very good job of exhausting both the rangers and their resources. Earwen continued to watch it closely, letting her horse guide itself, as something seemed off about it. She gasped when she saw it. "It has a rider! There is someone controlling that beast!" she shouted. "I cannot make out their face, and their clothing is unfamiliar to me." I just realized that my boi Acharnor is pretty much dressed like a Fire Nation soldier ]

Fire Nation attack pt 2))
"Shoot the rider first. We have no chance of bringing the beast down with someone steering it." Minsy shouted, selecting an arrow from her quiver and firing it towards the rider on the large beast, aiming for their head

I promise Acharnor won't be shooting any fire from his fists or will he...]]
The arrow flew clear through the air toward the rider. The individual's attention was too focused on the pesky rangers below and he didn't notice it until it was too close to dodge. He tilted his head to the side anyway and it struck hard against the metal of his helmet, knocking him a bit off balance and getting him fairly upset.
"It can't be a nazgul, can it? They were wiped out over a century ago," Teonvan wondered aloud. His brows knit tightly together, he had so many questions. "Is there any way we can get the rider off without it killing them? I need information," he said louder to his companions.
"I doubt it, to both of your questions," Earwen replied. "This one is definitely a human, and a living one at that."

"Can I shoot him again?" Minsy snarled, another arrow already strung on her bow and pulled back to full draw. If this was some nazgul type of person or creature or whatever, she cared. Every sense in her body screamed to bring him down even if it took every last arrow in her quiver to do so. "Teonvan give the word and I bring him down."

Teonvan wore a look of conflict. Of course he wanted this threat neutralized as soon as possible, but at the same time he felt that this was not just some random attack by a disgruntled countryman - the fact that they rode atop a fell beast gave that away right off the bat. He wanted - needed - answers.
"Unless we can get him closer to our level I do not see a way for him to escape unscathed," Earwen said. "If he falls from that height it is sure to cause fatal injuries. And if we turn Minsy loose on him, well, we know how that will go," she went on with a nod to her fellow elf.
Teonvan sighed. "Let your arrows fly, Minsy," he ordered.
While the three were discussing, the rider of the fell beast watched them from his perch. The only detail that stood out to him from his distance was the symbol of the White Tree on the knight's chest. The symbol alone, shining bright white in the sunlight, was enough to make the rider's blood boil. With a sharp yank on the reins he hissed an order to his winged steed and it dove straight at the rangers below him. In one fell swoop (pun intended), the beast had a ranger dangling from each taloned foot and one poor soul hanging from its jaws. "Shoot, I dare you," the rider hissed under his breath.

Let Minsy loose 😂😂😂😂))
Minsy let out a strangled noise. "You disgusting coward!" She yelled. "Drop them and face us like a proper man!" Minsy glanced anxiously from Teonvan to Earwen, wondering if her friends had any sort of master plan cooking. With a resigned sigh, she aimed for the rider's face and let one arrow fly which was rapidly followed by two more. All of which were aimed with deadly intent. She could only hope he didn't move last possible second and she impaled the rangers instead, but decided it would be near impossible for his time gauge that type of timing and she had to trust her instincts

Ok I have some things planned out now hehehe~]] Also, sorry in advance Minsy, but the plot requires what I am about to do xD]]
With his anger still focused on the ranger, the rider of the fell beast was near oblivious to the arrows speeding his way. The beast, however dove to the side and positioned itself to the arrows landed in one of its wings. The beast snarled in pain and nearly dropped the ranger dangling from its mouth and the rider himself nearly fell from the saddle. When he had righted himself he cried out the group of three, voice booming all around despite the distance. "Lower your weapons and I will not let these rangers fall!"
Earwen glanced to Teonvan having already nocked another arrow. "Do we listen to him? I do not trust this man as far as I can throw the beast he rides upon!" she hissed. "Lower them, but do not relax. The moment he makes the wrong move -- end him," Teonvan muttered with a glance to each of them.
~~~
Here's a little starter for Minas Tirith!]]
Melia stood at the gates to Minas Tirith. She had gone down to wish farewell and good luck to her friends as they rode off to confront the fell beast and couldn't bring herself to leave just yet. There was also the fact that the two ruling siblings were due to return any day now, and should that day be today then she would be able to meet them smiling at the entrance. She let out a wry chuckle, thinking on how much she had changed to be caring for these individuals so much. "Well, someone capable has to be left to keep the city in order," she murmured with a glance back at the mountainside fortress.
