It feels so good to be back in this again! ]] "You don't need to tell me twice!" Earwen said in response. With another arrow already lined up she took aim as the beasts slowly grew closer. "I had forgotten just how large these things are," she remarked. She let the arrow fly hoping it found its mark and watched hopefully as the beast cried out again, the flap of one wing being just off from the other. "Do we have any fire?" she asked suddenly, an idea coming to mind.

Me too!))
Minsy also let another arrow fly, it landing on the same wing Earwen was aiming for in hope it would not be able to fly with one wing. "Oh yea let me pull out my pocket torch...oh wait I must have left it at home." She replied dryly to her friends question

Earwen rolled her eyes as she took out another arrow. "Ok, perhaps I didn't word my question correctly," she retorted. "Do we have anything that could make a fire? Fire arrows would be more destructive to the wings." As she waited for an answer she watched as the one wing began to falter more. "Either I or one of the other rangers may have some flint on hand," said Teonvan, speaking up for the first time in a while. "We would have to stop though..." "That is fine, I believe even without it we are making progress," Earwen replied.

Minsy pulled back on the reins slightly, her horse slowly down before coming to a stop. She wobbled on top of the creature for a few moments and her eyes widened as she tried to not fall off in front of everyone. Once she steadied she breathed a small sigh of release and let another arrow fly. "Oooh, fire arrows sound like fun." She grinned

Teonvan brought his horse to a stop shortly after Minsy and Earwen and went rummaging through his things. "Aha, here it is," he murmured, taking out a small chunk of flint. He hopped off the horse and picked up a rock. "This should work for fire arrows," he said to the two elves.
"Perfect!" Earwen said. She held out an arrow and waited as Teonvan clicked the two stones together. Sparks flew and after a couple of clicks the arrow caught fire. She nocked the arrow and quickly released, looking satisfied as she watched it hit the fell beast's wing.
Teonvan went over to Minsy. "Minsy?" he asked, offering the flint.

Minsy had a devilish grin as she held her arrow towards Teonvan. "Light me up, old buddy." Her grin intensified and she couldnt wait to send a hurling, flaming, sharp arrow in to the shadowy beast ahead of them. She reckoned only a few of this would be enough to take it down...or more like she hoped seeing as her and Earwen had a limited supply of arrows and these beasts seemed to not mind the pricks too much

I started bingeing some anime and got distracted oops xD]] Also, I've been planning some more with my Breath of the Wild rp if you are interested at all~~]]
Even Teonvan cracked a grin. "As you wish," he said, striking the two rocks together. As he turned to face Earwen once more, he reached up to catch a full quiver of arrows from her. "I'll trust these to you for now, just hand them over as you light them up," Earwen said. She looked to the fell beast they had been aiming at. "I believe our scaled friend over there will be down with just a few more." The fell beast in question was starting to act erratically, the pain in its wing causing it to struggle to stay up in the air.

Ooh what show?)) Also omg yes I'm still down!))
"I'll start aiming for the other wing too." Minsy pulled her bow back to full draw, changing her sights from the thin skin of the one wing to the other wing, and then aiming for more of the base, where the wing itself met with the rest of the body. She hoped they could bring it down faster by wounding the part of the wing that allowed it to move best, and also would make its flight slower so it would be easier for others to take aim. As her arrow soared through the air, a roaring screech signaled that it hit its target once again.

Haikyu! Just caught up in the newest season It's so good ;o;]] Yay! I'm slowly working on plot stuff atm~ I recently got all the DLC for the game so I've been diving back into it again xD]] "Good idea," Earwen said, lining up another shot. She was about to release the arrow when suddenly her eyes went wide and she let out a gasp in shock. The giant reptilian head had swung around and she felt it was staring straight at her. "What is it?" Teonvan asked, looking to the beast. "I fear it may have noticed where the arrows are coming from..." Earwen said softly. She shook her head a bit and refocused. "Time to bring it down faster I suppose." Her fingers let go of the string just as the creature let out an ear-splitting screech. With a mighty yet painful flap of its damaged wings it dove down in the direction of the trio. The other, however, was still focusing its attention on the small band of rangers. I couldn't just let things go that easily~ ]]

Omg I'm sorry for the poof I was distracted by minecraft 😂😂)) Also ooh. I'm looking forward to the second one a lot))
Minsy glanced down at the sword on her hip briefly before letting another arrow fly. She grasped another and another, slowly noticing her palms begin to sweat as the shadow got closer to them. "See? Nothing ever goes as planned with you people. Why can't it be easy for once?" She grumbled, but still had a somewhat light hearted and carefree air despite the doom flying towards them faster than the crow flies...or the horse could run. She tried to not think about that last fact.

loool]] Same *^*]]
"What fun would life be if everything went so smoothly?" Earwen said, being completely rhetorical. Her heart was starting to pound as she stared down the fast approaching snout or the snarling beast. She inhaled sharply and released another arrow. It grazed the fell beast just above its eye and it let out a high pitched screech.
Teonvan hurried to his horse and mounted once more. "I don't know, I would like at least something to go well every now and then," he muttered, shuddering from the loud cry. "Will you two be ok with shooting while we ride?"

"You call this fun?" Minsy cursed under her breath, muttering words that would have gotten her mouth flushed out with soap. "Ride hard, Teonvan. Earwen and I will continue raining our arrows down upon them." Her voice hardened. She unleashed a rapid stream of four arrows, only one missing its mark. The other three slammed in to the creature's wing. At this point, Minsy could make out distinct features in the fell beast.

I was looking up fell beasts for funsies and man there's some cool artwork of them o: is it bad that I want one]]
"I think 'fun' may not have been the right word choice," Earwen murmured, lowering her bow. She hung it over her shoulder just long enough to take hold of her horse's reins and urge the steed into a gallop. She glanced back to see how Minsy's attack fared in time to see the beast jerk back with a pained snarl, the three arrows having stopped it momentarily. Its wings flapped in a wild frenzy which only served to wrench the landed arrows further in their places. As the group of three warriors rode off, the fell beast let out a cry and dove straight down, stretching out its feet to skid to a landing.
"Well, it's on the ground now," Teonvan commented. "It's charging straight at us with its gaping jaws, but at least it's on the ground." It was hard to tell if he was actually relieved or not.

Heads up I'm like 4 Mike's hard in and trying my best to avoid typos, so I'll fix anything too crazy in the morning 😂))
Minsy sighed. "Are you insane?" She shook her head, a half hearted joke hidden in her voice. She shot another arrow towards the fell beasts face, missing as she was unused to shooting while being jarred on the back of a horse. She hissed in mild disappointment and discomfort, silently vowing to not ride these steeds in to battle again.

xD]]
"Nerade is rubbing off on me, I must be spending too much time around her," Teonvan replied off-hand. He turned around in the saddle to check on the beast rampaging after them, wishing he'd brought a bow and arrows as well. Archery wasn't his strong suit so he'd opted out. A few more hits from the archers and then he was going to see what he could do about riding around it for some direct hits.
"I'm going to aim for the eyes now," Earwen informed her friends. Her horse veered to the right bring her perpendicular to the beast and she swayed a bit before aiming her weapon. The bow string released and the arrow went flying. The beast swung its head to look at her and the arrow instead stuck right between the eyes.

"I can barely hit the giant wings while on this horse, I doubt I could hit anything smaller." Minsy rolled her eyes, unleashing two more arrows. These two hit the fell beast, but not exactly where she had been aiming. Better than missing, I suppose. Minsy pressed her lips together in a frown. "We got any other ideas brewing here?"

"If only we could have brought in a larger weapon," Earwen murmured. She realized the urgency of the situation hadn't quite allowed for it, but a ballista at least would have been very useful here. "The only ideas I've got involve getting much closer to the thing," she said to Minsy. "If we could bring it closer and somehow get to its head to deliver the final blow..."

"Excellent idea...unfortunately. How do you propose we lure it closer? I'm not trying to go through a whole quiver of arrows on just one fell beast when a second one looms in the distance." She pointed out, becoming slowly more and more aware of the dwindling arrows

Earwen pulled on the reins to gradually slow her horse. "I think drawing it closer will be the easier part of this plan," she said, nodding to the beast. It was still charging at them, particularly enraged by the slew of arrows that had just found their mark on its face.
"Let's split up and form a circle around it," Teonvan proposed. "Confuse it enough until one of us gets the chance to get close enough to climb up."

Minsy nodded, suddenly very happy she was the shortest of the group and therefore unlikely to be the first time be able to reach the beast to scale it. She split off from the other two and began heading for the beasts rear, shooting arrows in to the belly of the fell beast while she tried her best to not fall off the horse

Earwen and Teonvan glanced at each other before breaking off to ride to either side. Teonvan directed his horse dangerously close to the beast's belly. He felt a rush of wind and adrenaline each time his steed narrowly avoided a swipe from one of the wings.
Earwen shot one more arrow to the beast's head before riding to the opposite side. Being the tallest and - no offense to the ranger - more nimble than Teonvan, she decided she was the best candidate to be climbing the animal. She wasn't as brave as the ranger to approach it so closely so quickly and instead rode back and forth as she looked for an opening. She had put her bow away and taken out a pair of silver knives.

Minsy carefully watched Earwen to make sure her friend wouldn't need aid. She wobbled on her horse and nearly fell off. Grabbing the reins in absolute panic, she wobbled for a few seconds--which felt like years--before regaining stability with a sigh of relief

"Are you alright over there?" Teonvan called to Minsy, riding a bit closer to her for a moment. Hopefully the yelling would keep attention on him. His horse swerved once more as this time the beast's jaws tried to snatch them both up. His eyes went wide as even the great ranger himself felt a moment of panic.
Earwen had stopped her horse and watched while the fell beast aimed its malice elsewhere. She took several deep breaths in and out to calm her nerves before sliding off the saddle and sending the horse to a safer distance, but still within calling range.

Minsy nodded vigorously, which almost threw her off balance again. "Anyday now Earwen, we aren't getting any younger here." She called. Her heart dropped in to her stomach as she watched Teonvan almost become a fell beast snack. With an angry shout, she launched more arrows at the beast

Earwen stood in almost a half-crouch, ducking and dodging as she watched the beast's movements. "This kind of thing requires some patience," she murmured, inching closer. Right after Teonvan had gotten snapped at, the elf broke into a sprint while the fell beast's neck was still bent away from her. She ducked under a wing and then jumped, grabbing onto its neck. It took her a moment to get a good hold on the scales, especially with it continuing to thrash around.
Teonvan gave another shout and struck its heel with his sword to distract it once again and Earwen was able to stand up on its back. Another running start and a few hops (and near slips) got her to its snarling head. The fell beast fell still, confused as to where its prey had gone, and that moment was its biggest mistake. Earwen loosened her grip on the thing's horns and plunged her knives into its skull. She winced and held on for dear life as it screeched and thrashed its head around. One last buck to the side however and she was thrown off, moments before the beast's head fell and lay still.
tfw you go to fight a bokoblin but it kills itself by continuously lighting its own weapon on fire... smh]]

Lmao love that))
Minsy pulled the reins back, coming to a full stop in front of the massive head. She slowly clapped in awe of her friend. "Well done, Earwen! One down, just one more to go!" She hoped that these two fell beasts would end up being the last of their kind. For real, this time, considering the last time they thought all the beasts were dead these two decided to rain on that parade. "Same plan for the last one?" Minsy could still see the shadow flying through the air far ahead of them.

Lothinel Mirsengal | 206 | Female | Mirkwood elf | Chaotic Good Tall, thin, well-muscled, the typical ideal for an elf Lothinel stands at six feet tall give or take a few inches. She has high cheekbones, narrow almond-shaped eyes that are a very pale green color with gold toward the center. Her hair is long, almost at her thighs long, but she keeps it braided so that most of it is up and out of her face. It is dark red in color, looking brown indoors but the red color is very clear in sunlight. For clothing she is pretty simple, she wears a long green dress that stops just at her calves and is cut all the way up to her thigh on both sides underneath she wears dark green leggings and brown boots that reach her calf.| She is a loner by choice, she is cold and standoffish. Lothinel chooses to push people away because it is easier to protect one person rather than multiple. When she gets close to someone she still kind of pushes them away but she'd die protecting them. Her sense of humor is dry and sarcastic but she tries not to be mean persay. The woman is strong both in physical strength and emotional strength. | As most of her people she is skilled with a bow and arrow, and always carries her white wooden bow with her. She is also skilled with the two small daggers she carries as well. She has been on her own for a long time, she left home when she was about 50 years old and has been roaming Middle earth since then. The woman has the scars to porve how many fights she has seen. | History** | Other ** | Inky
