Alyeska, my cat, is wonderful most of the time, and is quite independent. That is, unless you try to force her to do something she doesn't want to do, like pick her up into a carrier to go to the vet. (The vet isn't the problem, it's picking her up.) She'll go full feral, hissing, growling, spitting, biting, scratching, rabbit kicking, and she occasionally goes for the face. (My hands and face are hurting a lot right now. x_x) This will be the third time in a row where we are forced to reschedule her vet appointment.

So it seems that Google is banning all forms of adblock in 2023. If and when this transpires, I guess I'll be moving over to Firefox.

Somebody’s fkn cat keeps coming into our yard and it’s been driving our dog nuts. I have to sweep the yard now and chase it away before I can let the dog out. Then he’s too busy running around and “tracking” it to do his business. He’s 10 and has a bad back and if he tries to chase it like the dummy he is he’ll get hurt.
Idek why ppl have outdoor cats here when we literally have ospreys and bald eagles n shit but man I really wish whoever owned this cat would stop making it my problem

I'm really tired if being treated like an idiot by my family. Just. So. Tired Same. Although it's usually my dad who does this. Just yesterday he attempted to convince me to install an anti-virus program that has screwed me over several times in the past, each time forcing me to reboot my machine back to factory settings due to it screwing up somehow and corrupting my files. He claimed it would be "easy and simple for someone with my "limitations" to understand", basically treating me as if I were 5 years old. I went on about how I already back up my files both on the cloud and manually - I have two external hard drives full of my documents and files. He went on about how I would need this anti-virus (I already have one, by the way) in case everything goes wrong and my files are lost for good. I repeated once again that I back everything up weekly. It was as if he hadn't heard a word I said, he went, "I know, but in case you lose everything, I urge you download this. I can do it for you if you need help." Smh. Then he went on to say, "I know that autism can be challenging, navigating the world, interpreting what's going on around you, but this is here to help you." Apparently because I have autism that makes me a complete flipping twat who can't tell trees from cars. (Then again he frequently cites Autism Speaks, so I'm not surprised.) He's always gone on about this. Limitations this, limitations that. |

On another website I am on, I followed someone since their posts kept on being recommended and I enjoyed them. Last night they blocked me. I asked why while signed out, they said it's because I post about the MCU. Like, you can still talk to me but just not follow me?? And for whatever reason I feel like crying now over this trivial issue :C

Not quite a vent but do you ever think about how the whole rhetoric behind "making ____ their entire personality" is just a direct micro aggression to minority groups?
Like whatever the thing is it's always either an aggression to something either cultural, social, or a habit that neurodivergent people have when having an interest. Y'know- Things that are all part of the person's actual personality and identity that are inseperable from them.
Like you don't hate people that make [insert thing] their personality, you just hate minorities.

I swear my mom needs to stop trying to force me to get a boyfriend. She only wants me to get a boyfriend so I can get laid and have children. All because all of my other cousins who are way older than me have a lot of children now because they got pregnant when they were teenagers! All she wants is to have grandchildren and to brag about it to everyone! Funny thing is when me and my siblings were younger she kept telling us to not have sex/get pregnant when we're teenagers because that's what happened to her and all of a sudden now that I'm older she's complaining that I should had got with someone so I can have a child when I was 18!!!!! Funny part is she was the main reason me and my ex broke up last year! Yes he was mentality abusive but I was too blind and submissive to see all of that so if she wanted a grandchild so much she might as well made me and him get married and have sex but because he wasn't the same race as me she said no. I swear she needs to shut up and understand that I'm not going to date someone until I'm ready. What my ex did to me is still mentality hurting me so I still need time to heal. I'm also only 21 I still have enough time to find that special someone and if I can't find them then oh well staying the single life will be heaven for me.

work has been so slow i cant stand it, and i have been feeling so uncomfortable even at home and not knowing why... i just hate how this job is 99% sitting bc we're so slow rn and when i mention quitting everyone gets upset with me. plus the commute is ridiculous...1.5 hrs just to get home most days.. idk what to do.

Roomie's mom had fallen in the bathroom about a week ago and broke her femur in 2 places so she was in the hospital for that and they were seeing about her getting discharged but then she had a stroke while in the hospital so now she has to be there longer and can't start physical therapy for her leg because she is a fall risk again. This isn't really affecting me like that bad cause she has lots of help and other people around her so for once, I'm not the go-to emergency help. I'm just really worried about her.  But also on a similar note, it feels weird not being the one that has to solve this emergency? I'm so used to people basically ambushing me for help because I can solve problems but right now I can??? sit on the sidelines??? don't have to do anything??? So I feel very awkward and don't know how to handle myself because I feel like I need to be DOING something about this lol. |
