{ @shootforthestars If you want, we could do more Zane/Redis interactions while we wait? It might even be fun to have one or both of Clarisse's parents talk to Zane when they see him alone, since he's basically been attached to Clarisse the whole time. Just a suggestion though }

{ Mm, both would be fun. I might be SLIGHTLY leaning towards one of Clari’s parents because I think it could be super interesting, but I quite like Redis too. Basically, I have no opinion either. }

{ Oh, no worries! Sorry, I'm not in any hurry and I don't want to rush anyone. I've got work I should be doing anyways, I just wanted to check and make sure. Good luck with your courses, I know they're a pain (especially if they're online, yuck). There's a chance I might not get to take any this semester with everything that's going on, which is both kind of a relief and also really aggravating. }

( Starchaser No worries, it was a fine reply. I got to do some fun stuff with it too. I really like what I wrote for him. Anyway, I'll check them out tomorrow and get back to you on all his abilties. Also, I have some corrections to make on family stuff for Lys and Cris py boy, so I'll probably update/add it tomorrow. Also yay for research. Same here. And honestly, of all the interactions I expected, this wasn't one of them. I mean, part of it is because he's a newer character, but still. Anyway, I'm really loving it. But yeah, adding in side characters and plots into the story isn't the most diffcult thing. Besides, I'm sure we could figure out a B plot for these side characters if we really needed to. Maybe they get missions or something in the cities the chosen go to. Okay, on the one hand, I agree that I don't think she would make eye contact while stealing something. But on the other hand, I could see a situation where she's in the middle of taking something, looks up and sees Wendell, and absent-mindedly continues her work akwardly as they stare at each other. If I'm not lazy, maybe I'll do a mock up laterAlso yay for additional world building. I love the idea of the world being a dream of deity. It's a very cool and creative idea I'm excited to see explored a bit more in the future.)
Crispen Valdmiri "Treat everyday with a smile so it doesn't know what you're planning on doing to it." - Wayne The Mischevious Grifter
The hybrid grinned as she pulled one of the desserts from his tray. That was a good start. Crispen did the same and finished it within two bites. The servers weren't supposed to eat the food, they could have a seprate meal later. However, they had hundreds already made back in the kitchens, ready to be served to the guests. One or two going missing wouldn't be an issue. If it was, it wasn't also his problem. Crispen flickered his gaze towards Lilah as she apologized. She followed it up with a curtsey, which caused him to laugh. The half-fae returned the gesture with his own bow, carefully holding the tray beside him. A guest walking by plucked one of the treats from him without a second thought. The half-mage ignored them as he rose back up, smiling.
"Ah yes. Robbery is not comparable to the act of knocking into me. That is usually a crime punishable by giving me your socks or hat. It's hard to find any good ones these days. Luckily for you, I'm merciful and don't need such an offering today. Anyway, suppose I am apologizing moreso for being caught than for actually trying to steal. I need to work on my apologies some I guess. But I'm glad we can to an agreement of forgiveness," he hummed. He smirked at her next comment. She was right, he messed up tonight, when trying to take her necklace.
"Yeah, you have a point. I'm better at swipin' stuff when no one's looking. Or if there's only a few people around. Not as good at sneaking goodies in large crowds. Though that's not where I'm useful." He leaned in and made a show of looking around them. "Between you and me," he whispered, "I'm better at getting into places I don't belong. Talking my way in. All you need is the right accessory and accent and you can get in almost anywhere." He pulled away as she mentioned her own successful heist. Still smkling, he gave a nod. "Sounds fun. Maybe I will get to know the story some day."
Maybe that would be tonight, or perhaps it would be another time. There was always a chance they would meet again, especially if she attended the rich-folk parties in the future. "Anyway, I appreciate your offer- and I know Lys probably would take advantage of it -but I'm not looking to do that." He knew the young woman well. She love the thrill of a heist, the excitement that came with swiping the pretty ring or decorative bracelet right under a target's nose. However, she also wouldn't turn down the offer of a free necklace. Crispen wasn't looking to swipe something of Lilah's when she was clearly not doing so well, especially because she offered it to him.
The half-fae began to explain his half-blooded heritage. The mage spoke up soon after, making a comment that captured his attention. "Another hybrid? Are you suggesting you're one too? Anyway, I undeestand what you mean. I'm not sure if it's because I'm half-Infernal or whatever, but I've noticed most Mages don't take too kindly to the mixing of families. Though, maybe I just grew up in an unacceptable area."
As the topic shifted onto sigils, Crispen took his third dessert from the tray. He ate it idely as the mage pointed out the mistakes in his wording. "Good point. I suppose I should've said I don't not need no magic. That would've made it a triple negative, I still would've gotten my point across. It also still makes sense. Well, it makes sense to me, at least. Anywho, I will consider the suggestion and bring it up with the committee. I'm sure they would appreciate this line of thinking," he replied, flashing a charming smile. Lilah continued on, mentioning how she didn't have charm or talent. Crispen snorted. "Nonsense. I think you're charming in your own way. A little shy, but in a cute way. Also, being skilled at magic is a talent. That was quick acting on the teleportation earlier, which accounts for sometjing, I think. You shouldn't sell yourself so short. We all have something to offer this world in one way or another."
There was another bout in silence between the half-blood asking if she was okay and Lilah answering. "Anaeida's just been having many nightmares lately is all," she muttered. Crispen nodded. Things weren't going well it seemed. Something in her life had gotten more complicated, or been turned upside down, or things were getting worse. When people referenced Anaeida's nightmares, it usually meant one of those type of things. He remained silent and let her speak. She didn't need to be ignored or interrupted anymore. Once she finished, he slowly nodded, understanding her sentiments.
"It does sound complicated," he agreed. "But if you don't consider them your family- especially if they've done nothing but ignore and mistreat you -I don't see anything wrong with that. You can choose the people you want to be with, including your family. There's an old fae saying my da taught me. 'Ropes of the chosen are stronger than the vines of the born'. Basically, it just means the relationships and bonds you chose are ultimately up to you. You can forge a better life for yourself by choosing who you see as your family. Those bonds, in my opinion, are stronger. It doesn't mean your blood relatives can't be included, it just means you have the power to choose what's be better, and stronger, for you in the long run." Crispen had done that himself, but so had his parents and siblings. They've been on their seprate ways for years, though it didn't bother the young man. Not much, at least. Besides, he had Lysandra and she was all he really needed.
"Hm. That all sounded a bit wise, didn't it? Looks like I'll have to do something real foolish and stupid to counteract that. Can't let people think I'm responsible or, circles forbid, one of those smart scholarly types. Maybe I'll trade shoes with someone or dance with a plant. No, that's just a bit odd... Perhaps I should pick a fight with the most intimidating person in the room. Now that might balance things out a little..." As the man quickly thought over a plan, another thought popped into his head.
"Oh, I'm Crispen by the way. Crispen Vladimiri, at your service, miss.c He held out his hand and offered yet another smile. It was rude having an entire conversarion with her and not introducing himself, especially because he already knew her name.

{ @shootforthestars Well, I only might not have classes because I've had a really hard time delaing with admissions office. I graduated from my last school (I have my AA now, yay education), so with COVID and all I've had a really rough time trying to get documents sent in and all that. I did get accepted to some places, including one school I really liked, but financial aid is a sticky issue, especially right now. So, yeah, I'm not really sure what I'm going to do about this semester. }

Starchaser Yeah, I was up for a while last night. XD But here you go! Hope this is ok. )
Myrek and Irene Alinsky
“I would find you in any lifetime. - Kayne West
The Steadfast Alphas ♔ ⤐ ☾ ⬷ ♕
Myrek tended to let his mate do the talking. He could carry a conversation if he wanted, but he wasn’t as inclined to making small talk like Irene and Clarisse. His eyes buttery eyes rested upon Irene’s laughing face, happy to see her in her element. Though Amir was his friend (if that was what you wanted to call it), Irene had interacted with him enough to be able to ask all the questions that the male demon wanted to hear.
As the night wore on and the couple bounced from influential figure to influential figure, Myrek found himself looking around for his daughter. She hadn’t been with them since Amir’s son pulled her away for a tour and dance and though it didn’t unsettle him, he could smell the slight worry radiated off Irene like a fragrant perfume. She never voiced her opinion, stuck between wanting Clarisse to experience mixing and mingling and wanting to keep her within ear shot at all times, but years of doing life with her told him that she was struggling.
Myrek slipped his hand into his mate's and gave her a smile, "Having a good time, magpie?"
Irene looked down at her pointed red heels and sighed, "You know, I'm just worried. Tonight is important for us."
He pulled her closer to his side as they walked through the crowd. How was he suppose to tell her to relax when his own nerves were standing on end? His fair coloring contrasted with hers when he bumped her with his shoulder.
"Yes. This is important, but you love parties. You seemed to be having a good time with Amir..." He trailed off, unsure of where he was going with the topic. "You should just enjoy yourself for once. Clarisse is off to a great start with Amir's son. She's a natural; she's too much like you sometimes."
Irene looked to the side with a grin and returned the shove, "Haha."
His laugh was gentle, the sound of rain on a spring day "Am I wrong? How many times did you run away to entertain the son's of Sanctum's elite before your mother caught you?"
"Too many! Rafe - " She pitched forward slightly with the force of her sudden laugh and said. "You know, the night she found me with that male? She dragged me back by the arm and made me sleep out in the middle of camp by the fire every night for a month. No cot, no blanket, no shifting, no nothing. It was winter and snowing, Myrek! Arfen, I was so embarrassed! The whole pack knew about it. I don't think I had ever been so mortified."
He listened, shaking his head slightly, but the smile on his lips was relaxed in the wake of her good mood. Clarisse might have been his mirror image on the surface, but her real twin was her mother. It was why he had such a soft spot for her compared to the boys. Years of exhaustion and worry melted off the Alpha's face when she laughed. Myrek had never seen something more beautiful than her.
"She walks in beauty, like the night Of cloudless climes and starry skies; And all that’s best of dark and bright Meet in her aspect and her eyes; Thus mellowed to that tender light Which heaven to gaudy day denies" -Lord Byron
Myrek took her hand and place a gentle kiss in-between her knuckles, "I remember well, magpie. Every morning there would be a foot of snow on top of you."
Irene chuckled, "Why did you ever put up with my nonsense? Really, Myrek, there were so many others that would have killed to have you."
The male shrugged and tucked her into his side, "Because I love you."
The simple declaration shouldn't have disarmed Irene, but verbal affection was uncommon in a public sphere for shifters. It usually happened behind closed doors while small physical touch flourished in the open. He could tell that she was gearing up to tease him again for it, no doubtably to bring up all the times he declared it when they were teens. He had always been a patient one, confident that she would return his feelings one day.
However, the sight of black hair and the strong scent of mountain pine and snow drifts wafted over to the couple. Irene was the first to notice and her good mood vanished into the wind. Gone was the spunky female, replaced by the no nonsense Alpha. Already missing his magpie, Myrek's lips squeezed together slightly and he intimated the interaction before Irene could set them on the wrong foot.
"Zane!" Myrek swept up to him from his right. The smell of wine drifted from him as well, but it was obvious why when Zane turned and his shirt was covered in it. He lifted his hand to rub at his stubble to cover the grin that grew on his lips. "Are you enjoying yourself?"
It was his form of mercy, but his mate seemed dedicated to undo it. She narrowed her eyes at the stain though she didn't comment on it. Instead, Irene walked up to him and straightened the suit in which they had bought for him. He could tell she was thinking that it was ruined now, that the male had thrown a gift away when he was already on thin ice. Myrek prepared himself to set in if she started a fight.
Yet, Irene simply looked up into the young male's eyes. Steely gray met deep golden amber, "You should really keep your tie in the center of your suit like this. It gives one a more dignified appearance and since Clarisse is intent upon keeping you around, then you should represent her well... Speaking of my daughter, where is she? Wasn't she with you?"
She gave one last brush and straighten of his tie before stepping back to her mate, her black dress sweeping around her feet elegantly. The definition of authority and grace.

{ Amber I think I like this one I did a bit better, but you still all put me to shame. I also find it funny how Crispen is like all dialogue, and Lilah is more inner thoughts and some action. My inspiration did taper off a little at the end, but I was sick og how long it was taking to finish.
Updated with what you put. I just need to add Cris and Lys's forms.
I'm having a lot of fun with their interactions too, even though it's not really Lilah to be so talkative and open. Which is why I came up with an excuse to really make her more... that way in this. I explained it more in the actual response, but fae basically have this sort of magical "aura" around them, that makes people more trusting of them/like them better, to give Lilah an excuse to act like that. If you don't like the idea though, I can just edit it out and handwave.
That would be hilarious, I want to see it happen.
I probably haven't thought on it as much as I should have, but I am excited to elaborate on it later. If I'm ever not lazy.

(Sorry this took so long. I was too tried to do it last night, was busy this morning, and then I was feeling kinda sick for most of the day. @shootforthestars I was thinking about the same thing for this scene! That thing with with Rosa and Arlo fits perfectly! Also, this "Apparently she had already adopted the angel into the fold..." and this from Star's post "This defensiveness extended to the angel—Avani—by default, as she and Clarisse already seemed comfortable with each other. That made her Zane's packmate too," are very adorable. One way or another, Avani is going to worm her way into everyone's hearts. Anyways, no worries about the length, I managed to get a reply I like up. Starchaser Ah thanks again! I really loved making them and I love how they turned out. Also, I'm curious to see how the group dynamic will change when Caspian comes into the picture. I could see him butting heads with at least Wendell and Clarisse as they seem to be the most confrontational, Alex and Lilah would probably would dislike him but not really do much about it, and Avani would be nice to him and try and figure out why he may be so rude. Needless to say, it's going to be fun.)
Avani Roshan "Someome has to care. Too few people care these days."- Lift The Chosen Angel
As the angel kept her focus on Wendell, she barely realized Zane and Clarisse had been talking to each other. Most of it was because if her distraction with the infernal. Avani still didn't know what he was. She knew the Infernals were a diverse family with people who had all different looks. Even among the demon subfamily there was much diversity. Despite her lack of knowledge on the subject, the angel was sure he wasn't a demon. The skeletal half of his appearence reminded her of Rollan. Maybe he was related to whatever subfamily Wendell belonged to. Before she could think too deeply, the man pulled her out of her thoughts. Avani grinned at Wendell, glad to hear something akin to happiness lace his voice. He seemed better now, which would help keep peace between everyone.
After their introductions, Wendell held out his hand for a shake. Avani reached forward to greet him, but found that it wasn't entierly solid. Loosening her grip to not hurt him, she gave it a friendly shake. They pulled away from each other, and the man went back to grumbling about the lack of information of his dreams. "Now zat you've found us, ve can vork togezer and figure out vhat all zis means. I sure zere are books or somezing ve can find out more from." That made sense to the angel, at least. It seemed impossible there wasn't some record about everything that was happening. According to Ziv, there had been previous people chosen for it before. Avani's own surename was taken from one of those ancestors, in fact. Before she could say antthing more, Zane pulled away from Clarisse.
"Vhere are you going?" She asked Zane, curiously. The man didn't answer, distracted by Clarisse. Avani decided to keep quite, watching their brief interaction with interest. As the werewolf stalked away, the other woman turned her attention to Wendell.
"Well, I hope that makes you happy," she pratically growled. The angel stiffened and opened her hands, as if trying to stop the werewolf with an invisable force. Her eyes shifted towards Wendell as he replied. There was an edge to his voice as he apologized, though he seemed genuine. Avani let out a sigh of relief.
"Vell, ve don't even know vho exactly to look for or if zey'll even be here. Maybe ve should find your friend and talk to him, see if he knows somezing now,c she noted. "Ve also need to figure out vhat ve're going to do about zat necklace. Tonight vould be ze best time to get it." Avani paused as Wendell and Clarisse mentioned going off to find someone. The angel hesitated, glanced towards the other entertainers.
"I'm not sure I should leave. I mean, I promised Rollan I vould help him tonight, and I can't abandon everyone else," she said, gesturing to the other mages and heavenlys at work. Despite being uncomfortable with the idea of leaving her post, she was also concerned with how Wendell and Clarisse would fair. They didn't like each other, and while she doubted they would fight, it wasn't a good start to the prophecy if two of them already disliked each other. After a moment, Avani sighed.
"I vill tell Rollan I'm taking my dinner break. I zink zat'll give me about zirty minutes to search vith you guys." A little guilt prickled at her again. She didn't want to lie to the man, however she also knew searching for answers was important. She could only hope he wouldn't get in trouble.

(Starchaser I assumed Gabe was still in the back. Also, I threw in a little reference to Lilah and Amber 's Crispen.)Wendell Benjamin White"Oh, don't worry about the books. I've already read every single one there is to read that I had access to.", he smirked. He now felt he was the most prepared of the group instead of the least educated on the prophecy. He pulled out his book, showing it off. "You think I wouldn't?", he asked, amusement in his voice as he displayed his hobby.
He nodded in agreement, putting his book back finally, when hearing that they should find Gabriel, before turning around and scanning the party for a sign of the familiar mage. He didn't see the Lancaster, so he said, "I don't see him in here. We should check the backyard." He began to lead the way to the backyard, feeling like it was his turn to find Gabriel, remembering that Gabriel had found him.
He hadn't moved far, about a foot, as he hadn't had much time, when he heard that Avani was leaving. He felt a bit sad about it. He actually kind of liked Avani, as she was the only one who hadn't been aggravating to him right from the start. Plus, her accent and voice had some sort of calming affect on him. "Well, see you at the garden!", he said in goodbye.
He marched to the garden, not caring if anybody else followed him or not as he did so. He took a snack from a waiter as he passed. One with curly red hair that he seemed to recognize but didn't care, who was talking with some woman. He hadn't had anything since that red wine he had while reading.
As soon as he stepped outside he saw Gabriel. "Hey! Gabe! I met the angel and shifter! Did you find the Mage?", he called. He walked closer, and saw the look of anger on his face. "Gabriel! What's up? What happened?" He rushed over to Gabriel, wanting to comfort him. "Did something happened? If someone did something to you, I can help deal with them!"
He felt anger rolling like a storm in his half-fae gut. He didn't want anybody to make Gabriel feel upset, whoever they may be. He decided to test his telekinetic skills and lift a couple rocks from the ground, making sure he was still in touch with his powers. They worked perfectly, and he dropped the stones. He was making sure he could deal with whoever did this.

{ @shootforthestars Okay, I don't know why, but the picture you have for them just makes me crack up. It's so perfect and fitting, like the wolves really look like they're posing for a couples picture.
Anyways, no worries, like I said before. Also, it's a great response This one's a little shorter and more lackluster than usual, but hopefully works well enough for you to do something with.

( Starchaser Yes he's very chatty, though not so much in this reply. This is unlike Lysandra who would be mostly inner thoughts and Avani, who I think is between them. A good mix of inner monolog and talkative. Also don't worry, it was a good reply. I had trouble with this one myself. Sounds good! I like that idea because it gives me some more ideas for Crispen's character. I also thinks it really fits with the fae considering they're merchants and all. Also drunk Lilah, that was interesting and fun. And yeah, same here. That would be glorious. Also can't wait to see what you add/elaborate on with the worldbulding. Haha, yeah stop, but don't actually. Also, I didn't remember if Lilah's mark was the same as her family mark, so that's what I put down. I'll edit it if I need to.)
Crispen Valdmiri "Treat everyday with a smile so it doesn't know what you're planning on doing to it." - Wayne The Mischevious Grifter
The mage grabbed another one of the small desserts. Crispen lightly smiled and gave a satisfied nod. That was the spirit. As she began to nibble at it, the man bowed in response to her curtsey. Lilah laughed, then questioned his payment methods, only to suggest something else a moment later. Playfulness glittering in his eyes, the half-fae scratched his chin. "Now that's a good question. I agree that a blood sacrifice wouldn't suffice in the event that happens. I can't use it for anything and it would be messy. Don't want to ruin a good pair of boots or a nice shirt either, you know. I think a pair of glasses would do well. You can never have too many good pairs of glasses. Or hats. Or even socks for that matter. Anyway, I agree that you are fantastic at this. Even apologizing to me aside, it's a good skill to have."
A server with a tray of drinks scurried by. With a graceful motion, Lilah pulled a glass free. Crispen's fellow staff member gave him a confused, maybe even annoyed, look. The half-fae shrugged in reply and smiled. The other man rolled his eyes as he passed. Hopefully he wouldn't rat on Crispen as he chatted with the woman. Speaking of, his attention flickered back to her as she spoke. He grinned as she whispered back, a twinge of pride rising in his chest. "Yup, I'm good at making my points and selling them. Usually, at least." He paused as she took a few steps back and spun around in her dress. Crispen nodded approvingly, truly impressed that someone with so little expierence in sneaking into places came so prepared. He knew he couldn't say the same when he was first starting out.
He studied the dress for a moment. It looked custom-made and expensive, though- as he noted earlier -it wasn't gaudy like many of the outfits there. She was wealthy. Or came from a wealthy family. Or had at least some money to her name. That was expected as she was a Lancaster, a lady related to one of the mage leaders through one complicated family connection or another. With that in mind, it still left one question in mind; if she was part of such a prestigious group, then what was with the sneaking? Crispen didn't voice his curiosity. Instead, his attention was brought back to Lilah.
"You blend in nicely," he agreed, winking back. "And teleporting came in real handy twice now. Once for sneaking in, as you mentioned, and then when I tried to steal from you. Hm, I really should stop bringing that up. Anyway, we all can't be smooth-talkers and if you have skills that can help, it makes sense to take advanrage of them. Of course that sounds mighty funny coming from me I assume, but I also don't count." He paused as she set an empty glass on a nearby table and snatched another drink from a different server. Lilah spoke up again before taking a sip of the second glass of champagne. Was it just him or did she seemed a bit unsteady? Although he didn't say anything, Crispen would keep an eye on her.
There was a brief silence before she went on about his persuasiveness and that one ability from his half-fae heritage. Although he gave a small laugh, his smile faultered slightly. Right. The one thing he couldn't control well at all. The one thing he disliked, even hated about his half-blooded nature. He felt a spike of discomfort- which he immediately strangled and dumped in a lake. Now wasn't the time for such negative thinking. He was at a party, talking to a pretty lady, and having a fun time. There was no room for such thoughts. The man flashed another smile. "You're probably right about that. I probably could snatch a lot of things if I wanted, but where's the fun in that?"
The topic, thankfully, shifted. Lilah mused about Mages and their obsession with keeping a "pure" bloodline. Crispen snorted. "I know what you mean all too well. In a weird way, it's a little comforting knowing I wasn't the only one facing some cruel judgement just because I'm not a full mage." He offered another smile as she continued on. Grinning back, the mage motioned him forward as she leaned in. Crispen copied her movements and leaned towards her. "You see, I am...a scandal. The greatest scandal in all of Lancaster history, actually." She backed away, the grin of a troublemaker spread across her features. The man's hazel eyes widened as he blinked in surprise. He offered his own grin, though wasn't sure how to react to this information. As he thought over her words, she continued on, explaining how she was descendant from a heavenly. Then, she spoke about her mother. She was abandoned at four by the woman and hadn't seen her since. Crispen bit his lip as he awkwardly stood there for a moment.
"I'm sorry to hear that," he managed. Before he could say more, the woman began to giggle, ignoring the comment. It does matter, wanted to say, but she had already moved on to their talk of sigils and personal charm. She almost seemed giddy at his words. Is she blushing? He thought with a smile, just before answering her. "Yeah, I really think so. And I suppose I can be quite nice on the odd occasion," he added with a smirk. The conversation turned back towards her family, which deflated her excitable mood some. Crispen quietly waited for her to say something as she collected her thoughts. She eventually spoke up again, a small smile dancing across her features.
She quickly launched into an explanation of running away from home and being caught, before being cast out again. Crispen frowned, finding himself feeling bad for her. From what he found out about the mage in the brief time he knew her, her life had been far from easy. Mother gone at four, family barely acknowledging her, family later disowned her, going as far as trying to remove her mark, and causing her to run away.
Lilah held out her hand, showing him the mark. The half-fae put his hand beneath her and pulled it closer to his face. Tiny star shapes decorated her palm. As he watched them, they almost seemed to move, though thag was impossible. People could get magical tattoos that moved around their bodies, but birthmarks? Those couldn't be moved far as he knew.
"They way they treat you isn't right," he agreed. "But now that they're out of your hair, you don't have to worry about what they think. Their expectations, their opinions of you, it doesn't matter. You can start fresh, without them breathing down your neck all the time. Anyway, I don't have many friends myself, believe it or not. One would think I would because I'm so gosh darn charming, but I don't. However, that doesn't mean the same can't be true for you. Now that you can move on from their oppressive ways, I'm sure things will change for the better. And who knows. You're already something of a criminal, maybe you could join Lysandra and I," he mused, chuckling. He laughed further as she gave him a friendly shove.
"I never said there was anything wrong with being scholary, I just said I don't want people to think of me as such. There's nothing wrong with you Miss graduating early Valedictorian, but scholarly types are usually boring. I would've called you boring too, but you've snuck into a party, stole some books in the night after breaking into some important place, and are now talking to me. That's far from boring," he pointed out. "Anyway, I should combine the dance and the fight, shouldn't I? Lilah, you absolute genius, that is a grand idea. If I dance with and then pick a fight with the plant, then that would fix this predicament. It also has the added bonus that people will think I'm off my rockers and make this whole event a lot more fun. I'm so glad I decided to keep you around," he joked.
There was another bout silence, though Crispen didn't mind it much. Surprisingly, he did enjoy being around the mage, even if they were conversing. The quiet didn't last long as Lilah spoke up again. He nodded in agreement about the saying, though inhaled sharply as she grabbed his arm and pulled him closer. They locked eyes. He could feel his face getting warm and chest fluttering ever so slightly. Now that was diffcult for people to do. It was then he noticed she had change. Her words slurred slightly as she spoke again, her movememts were wobblier than before, and she seemed tipsy at best. Lilah couldn't handle her drinks, or wasn't used to consuming alcohol. It didn't matter which one it was as she was clearly intoxicated.
"Yes, you can call me Crispen. Cris, Pen, and Crisp work too, but you can call me whatever," he replied as she tilted her heas back slightly. The half-fae let her speak as he tried to find his words. "Look, this all sounds real interesting, but maybe you should wait a bit before telling me anything. Also, usually I like it when people start to get all friendly with me, but I don't think you're in a good headspace for that. We should find that friend of yours. Alex, you said his name was? If he's your friend, I dobut he'd up and leave you like that. Here, I have a friend we can see, Lysandra? I've mentioned her a few times. Perhaps she could help you with this...aliment and we can go from there. Does that sound like a good plan?"
Crispen didn't move as he waited for an answer. Hopefully she would agree and they could go to the elemental. She could find that Alex fellow and they could help Lilah reunite with her friend. Surely he would know how to help her.

[[ oh dear i missed quite a bit, didn't i? oops...
I'll read through everything and try to get my characters caught up. Sorry about my general inactivity! School is starting soon so stuff is going nuts, but hopefully I'll be able to find more consistent time to RP soon. (: ]]

{ mossecho You're fine, love <3 Glad to see you back though! Don't worry too much about activity though, I know life is rough for everyone right now, especially with school starting again.
I've got a pretty good summary of what's happened on our discussion page thanks to Shoot, so that's a good place to start if you don't want to read through everything. We're still at the party and I've tried to keep it to where you can slide Alex back in without much hassle. }

{ Brokenstar Amber @shootforthestars Sorry everyone for the wait, forgot we were all waiting on me.
EDIT: Wasn't sure if Avani was supposed to be back with them or not at this point, so just let me know and I can edit.
As you can see, I'm very indecisive both about this layout and Gabriel's personality in general. I'm not very happy with this post, but didn't want to delay us any further. I think this might be a bit hard to read though with the coloring, so let me know if it's problematic for you guys and I'll change it. }

{ Amber Might hold off on a Lilah response if mossecho wants to bring Alex into the mix now since there's already quite a bit to catch up on. }

(Hey mossecho! As Star already said, no worries about the dip in activity. I'm starting classes Tuseday and I think Shoot mentioned they're going back or are back as well. Anyway, I don't think yoy missed too much and the summary, as Star also mentioned, will help. Starchaser I think Avani would be back with them at that point. Also, sounds good. Also, also it would be hilarious to see Gabriel's reaction to Lilah making friends with the guys he only knows as a thief.)

{ Amber Sounds good about Avani.
Oh gosh, now I'm imagining what Alex is gonna think finding this scene. Crispen confronted by two other guys in one night for not even really doing anything. Poor dude.
Gabriel: Get away from my sister. Crispen: Okay. Also Crispen, two seconds later: Your sister and I are best friends now. }

( Starchaser Pft yeah. He's just trying to be nice. After trying to steal something. It's not anything bad. Also that's exactly how that's going to be. One way or another he'll find them around each other (doesn't matter if Alex or anyone else is there or not) and will probably not be very happy.)

[[ ok so far I've read everything but this page... not sure about how much I retained (I was also in the middle of a gif war with a friend... I need better time management), but so far I think I got the gist? idk. Is any group/character open?
Also I am thinking about Alex getting drunk* and stealing some random rich person's car because now that I've googled rich person clothes I need to research rich person cars, just fyi. If anything we just need a "get in loser, we're going shopping"-esque moment.
* I figure vampires have stomachs and because they don't eat but still consume liquids, they can handle drinking stuff. Alcohol has a stronger effect on them then it would for most, just because other species eat. Because vampires don't eat, they only have alcohol in their system and therefore get drunk faster and experience more symptoms than most others. Maybe? wow it's obvious i know no science xD ]]

{ mossecho You can throw him to Lilah and Crispen, my goal was to leave them open for you to join.
Also, that'd be pretty funny since Lilah's already drunk now (she never drinks and totally can't hold her alcohol because she's tiny, plus I just realized she's had like almost nothing to eat for literally a day now, so it was bound to happen). I definitely think having him drunkenly steal a car would be funny, we can tie it in with group needing to get away fast after stealing Azar's necklace.
However, having Alex be like "I left you alone for five minutes and this is what happened" when he finds Lilah would be funny too.
I thought your explanation made fine sense, btw. I am not a sciencer though. }

It's great! Your replies are always awesome! )
Myrek and Irene Alinsky
“I would find you in any lifetime. - Kayne West
The Steadfast Alphas ♔ ⤐ ☾ ⬷ ♕
Though Irene disliked the males presence out of principle, she wasn't unhappy with the way that the male carried himself. Perhaps it was the upbringing within a border pack, but she could tell that he understood the importance of the hierarchy. It could very well be him trying to make a good impression on her as well which she begrudgingly appreciated. Zane was a male that thought about his words before he spoke them into existence. So unlike her daughter in every way.
If he wasn't a dirty rogue with questionable motives, Irene might have been inclined to pair them off. They would have balanced each other well. Her lips turned down in a deep set frown. Too bad even Rafe's fifth consort would be suspicious of him.
Of course, Myrek radiated the usual easy confidence always silently envied. He liked to say that Clarisse got her stellar confidence from her, but Irene knew it to be lie. She was simply got at putting up the front of superiority; he lived and breathed poise. Worry and anxiety, her constant companions, had plagued her since she was a child and only in her later years did she grow strong enough to contain them. And times of war and uncertainty, her analytical mind that begun to turn on her.
Irene looked off to the side with an internal sigh and did a good job of masking her emotions as her mate smiled and nodded, "Very different, indeed. My first Sanctum party was culture shock. You'll get used to it."
Myrek's eyes swiveled to his right when his mate let out a sound of annoyance as if to dare her to challenge him. The familiar taunt that she had come to recognize as a lover's challenge only made her tighten her jaw to keep from snapping something back. Worry and anxiety might have been her plight, but dominance from birth tended to win in the end.
Irene smiled tensely, her hands crossing to keep herself from reaching out and preening him again. "Yes, well, you've done well so far." Myrek could tell that the words were like acid in her mouth, but he smiled anyway at the effort she put into overcoming her unfounded bias against the male.
"You have to give him a chance, Irene. Just because he looks familiar to you doesn't mean that he doesn't deserve an opportunity to win our trust! Give him a chance..."
Irene allowed herself to look around as Zane confirmed that his daughter was enjoying herself. Well, at least actually trying to enjoy herself by meeting new people. The female Alpha hummed, "Good. I was hoping that Azar would invite her to dance. Though I'm sure his friends aren't the best younglings to hang around."
"Like you're one to talk." The growl that came from her left was laced with humor, but still held a warning. She reached out and smacked him on the shoulder, eye brows drawn down.
"Oh stop, Myrek." Her good mood from earlier must have lingered more than she thought because the start of a smile ghosted onto her lips. Irene straightened and cleared her throat when she realized that Zane was still there and she was still Alpha. "Anyways. The shirt is inconsequential so don't apologize. And like I said earlier, Clarisse has vouched for you..."
She looked him in the eye and sighed, "So stop acting like you don't belong here. It angers me." Myrek let the silence linger for a moment, prepared to step in but his mate, cleared her throat again and barely made eye contact with the male before turning away from him and saying. "Enjoy the rest of the party."
In an effort to keep up with his wife, Myrek started towards her, but placed a hand on the male's shoulder. His smile held an easy reassurance, "Take that as a welcome. She's hard to please so it's the best you'll get. Don't let my daughter get too drunk."
I think I'll have Redis come in now if you want so you can get both!!))
