Tornheart || in camp with Thorntail and Willowshine
Tornheart lifted his head a little in response to Thorntail’s words. He could see the tom trying to comfort him, and he couldn’t help but smile gratefully at the offer of something to do, to get his paws moving and useful.
“Of course,” he said, taking a few steps towards the exit and wincing at the burn in his leg from his previous run. “Though don’t wait up for me, I don’t want to slow you down -“
Then Willowshine was there, pressing firmly and comfortingly against his side, and all thoughts left his head as Tornheart leaned into her touch desperately. He could feel her shaking, and tucked his head on top of hers, trying to provide as much comfort as he could. “Don’t worry about me,” he whispered once he’d found his voice. “I’m alright. I’m alright.” He closed his eyes. “I’m so glad you’re okay, too.”
Selfishly, he wanted to stay there, in camp with Willowshine, with Dappleface, sink to the ground somewhere and find solace in Willowshine’s presence. But he still felt Thorntail’s presence, and reluctantly pulled his head back to say, “I should go find Sunmask. Unless - do you need someone to stay with you?” He didn’t want to leave Willowshine alone.

Mudrush || in camp with Rainstar, Brackenkit, and Fallowkit
Mudrush nodded at Rainstar’s words, looking sympathetically at the two kits. “Once Sunmask gives her more medicine, I’m sure Dappleface will be happy to see you,” he reassured them. His heart ached at the emotion in their eyes - they’re so young.
He then gave Rainstar a firm nod. “Of course. I’ll look out for them.” He then sat next to the medicine cat’s den entrance, keeping an ear out for any calls but careful not to decipher the softer conversation within, not wanting to eavesdrop on Dappleface and Lightdrop.

Thorntail - in camp - Brackenkit, Tornheart
As Thorntail waited on Tornheart's response, he noticed that Brackenkit had scampered off somewhere. Fear spiked through him, mixed with frustration that Brackenkit had run off again, until he spotted him with Fallowkit, already making trouble for Mudrush no doubt. However, the warrior seemed to have the kits under control so he didn't bother going over.
Tornheart seemed to be caught up too, now, his only focus Willowshine. Typical. Well, Tornheart had said not to wait up, and the situation seemed urgent. Thorntail began walking purposefully towards the edge of the camp.

Ashenlight blinked quickly as Hazel beamed at her, talking fast and making promises. She lets out a sigh before completely tensing up when she's asked for her name. "No." The she-cat mewed sharply. "Do not tell anyone my name." Ashenlight added, her fur bristling a bit as she does. She's quiet for a moment before exhaling and shaking her head. "Sorry, I just don't want it getting back to my clan."
After another moment, the she-cat glanced around before answering the rogue's other question. "Her name is Frost, I didn't catch her kits' name. I don't think you know." Her tail lashes side-to-side before Ashenlight finally looks back to Hazel. "I should get going, just...stay safe. I'll try and come back soon." She told the other, her ears pitching back against the top of her head. With that, the silver and black turned to head back to camp.
As much as Willowshine wanted Tornheart to stay by her side, he had a good point of going back to Sunmask to see if she needed any help, especially with Dappleface waiting at camp. She gives a heavy sigh and nuzzles her face further into his fur, allowing herself just one moment longer before she unwillingly stepped away.
She glances around and spots her sister talking to their father as he stays by the den, she figures she might as well stay here with him. A bit of nervousness began to bubble in her chest, but she knew she'd rather have her father around than no one. Finally, the fluffy molly locked eyes with Tornheart one last time before shaking her head. "Go, I can stay with Mudrush." She tells him. Leaning in slowly, Willowshine presses her nose to his cheek and breathes in his scent one last time. "Be careful." She whispers to him, words dancing on her tongue as she wanted to say more but didn't have the courage to speak anymore.
With one last look, Willowshine finally moved away and went to go sit next to Mudrush. Her eyes linger on Tornheart before she greets her father. "Mind if I sit with you?" She asks.

Dovespots | open Dovespots didn't handle grief very well. A statement only amplified when the grief in question is very sudden, and Darkfang running into camp yelling for Sunmask with fear in his voice and then seeing a limp Dappleface along with Skypaw following soon after, to Dovespots was considered sudden.
Her first instinct of course was to run down and try to get as involved as possible but she quickly decided against it. What right had she to make a fuss? She barely knew the hurt she-cats and it wasn’t as if she magically gained medicine cat training. Gosh, poor Sunmask, thought Dovespots, anxiously flexing her claws as she went over the situation in her head. Having to be the calm one in such a treacherous time. And Skypaw is her kin as well! Oh no, that family has already lost so much. She still wanted to be of some use though, like her dad or Rainstar, or at least show that she cared about the tragedy that was happening around them. But her paws were stuck to the ground, almost shaking with fear with fear for the two lives at stake and every other cat who bothered to show they cared.
Deerspirit | leaving camp If you asked Deerspirit at sunrise if she expected anything odd today she would have given you a firm no, but now there was a loner and her kits in their camp and two far too young she-cats in the medicine cat den holding onto their lives, and honestly the spotted she-cat wasn't quite sure what to do with herself. She had been staying in the background for the majority of things, letting the people who needed it have their space, but with things finally being slightly settled she thought she should to do something with her paws. Instinctively she looked for the cats she feared would have a negative reaction to the tragedy, Lightdrop, Tornheart, Briarleap and the such, but most if not all seemed to not be in camp or already being comforted, and since her original plan of talking to Mistydew seeming tasteless at this stage the she-cat was left quite stumped on what to do. After a moments thought she decided to keep the clan going while the ones need to catch their breath. Trying to not attract too much attention she followed the walls put of camp and started to absent mindedly head towards fire mountain, for her second causal hunt of the day.
Foxtongue | On way towards great pines Panting despite only speed walking out of camp, Foxtongue trotted anxiously through her clans territory. Barely cohesive thoughts crashed through her mind like tree’s falling in a storm. Tallpaw wouldn’t have left- Tallbird thinks I’m insane- The clan thinks I’m an idiot- Badgerpaw understood- His death- Great pines. She had to go to great pines, it’s the one place in this Starclan forsaken land that hasn’t been ruined by cursed memories. Trying to stop her thoughts from further ravaging her mind the calico began to pick up her pace towards her destination.
{God these were a struggle to write and edit, but at least they're done.}

I realized i never did a form for Redwood, so here she is! Let me know what you think of her, highprince c:
Redwood -- //She-cat// -- //56 Moons// -- //Elder//Redwood used to be a very pretty molly, she has a white coat with russet red tabby markings only on the top of her head. Her tail is long and feathery, starting out with dark red at the base of her tail before getting lighter towards the tip with the dark fur being reduced to rings around her tail all throughout. Redwood has a sharp, piercing blue gaze. These days her fur is kept tangled and usually matted, only groomed if another cat does it for her. Her claws are sharp and hurt most of the time since she doesn't bother to scratch anything to keep them short. Redwood was a very kind she-cat, having a motherly attitude from a young age. She seemed sweet and care-free, but what lurked beneath was an unhealthy obsession of wanting control. Now, after the betrayal, Redwood is unhinged and unpredictable. There are times where she seems like her old self but that can quickly switch to her lashing out at someone. She rarely talks to anyone, not even Brokentalon when he makes an attempt at conversation. She keeps to the elders den and hisses at anyone that comes near. Redwood was a hopeless romantic, waiting for the right tom to come around and sweep her off her paws. She saw that in a rogue named Nickel and a swift romance soon followed. Soon, the she-cat was expecting and was so happy to be bearing his kits. When they were born she told Nickel but found out he'd also been having a romance with a kittypet, her heart broke and she was left distraught. Soon her kits became ill and she lost Firekit to the sickness, she thought this was Starclan's way of punishing her for having a rogue's kits. Her hatred for Starclan was fueled more when she lost Applepaw to the rivers currents and she swore she'd get her revenge. At this point, Redwood had lost a grip on reality and while it seemed like she was doing better, she was actually getting worse. Moons later she took her son out and ended up maiming his face in a fit of revenge, part of her genuinely thinking he was the tom that betrayed her and caused the death of her kits. She truly thinks that Halfpaw is a bad omen and sent to her as punishment for having a rogue''s kits, she often mistakes him for her past mate, Nickel. R A I N Y

Halfpaw - Open || Apprentice's Den
Halfpaw only nodded when Mudrush spoke, staying where he was standing when his mentor left. He felt almost like an outsider, watching all this grieving and sadness around him. He was certain he'd only be in the way if he tried to stick around, so he turned tail and headed towards the Apprentice's Den. Halfpaw sighed as he entered the den, hoping to possibly lay down and get some rest, as long as another apprentice didn't bother him.
Stormpool with Mistydew || Camp
Stormpool ran a reassuring tail over Mistydew's back, her own chest feeling heavy. Seeing Lightdrop with her mother, she hoped that Riverpaw and Stonepaw would never have to go through that, though at least they had Birchwind and each other. Shaking herself out of her thoughts, Stormpool looked back over at Mistydew. "No, it appears not," she murmured, attempting to keep her voice steady despite the tightness in her chest. "We can only hope that Sunmask knows what she's doing."

Stonepaw lifted his head as Halfpaw trudged inside the den, he noticed that the other tom looked very tired and defeated. The corners of his jaw pull up into a smirk as he rises from his nest and pads over to the white and gray apprentice before he can get a chance to sit down. "Hey, Halfpaw." Stonepaw greeted him, his smirk turning into a slight grin. "You look like you've seen a ghost, everything alright?" The silver tom asked with a tilt of his head.
After the meeting Stonepaw had dragged his paws into the apprentices den, getting the 'okay' from his mentor to relax for a little while. Despite sleeping in so late today, the young tom still felt rather tired, perhaps from all the commotion of finding Frost and bringing her back to camp. Having spent all this time in the den, Stonepaw, unfortunately, has completely missed what's been going on just outside of the apprentices den entrance. Unaware that there was a snake attack.

(Sorry it's been a while, camp nano's been trying to kill me >.<)
"Thank you! Bye!" Hazel sighed to herself as Ashenlight turned and headed back into the forest. Apparently asking for the she-cat's name had been a mistake, although she didn't quite understand why it had been such a touchy subject. Ah well, at least she said she'd come back soon, Hazel thought to herself.
And meanwhile - she really ought to get off CedarClan territory. She carefully retraced her steps until she passed the line of scent marks, and then curled up under the first bramble bush she saw and closed her eyes. She'd almost made it to CedarClan. All... I have to do... is wait...

Halfpaw with Stonepaw || Apprentice's Den
Halfpaw fought away the butterflies in his stomach as Stonepaw came over to talk to him. He could practically hear Applepaw teasing him about how something as little as another apprentice starting a conversation with him could get him flustered. “Oh. No,” he answered honestly. He was tired and concerned, and now worried about messing up this conversation. “Dappleface got bit by a snake. It’s a disaster out in camp.” Halfpaw almost hoped that Stonepaw wouldn’t leave to go check out the situation himself, though he wouldn’t be surprised. After all, Halfpaw wasn’t exactly the most fun cat to talk to.

( I know these are really late, so sorry! I've been struggling to think of what to write for Bracken and Fallow, finally came up with something [hopefully] decent today ^^'
Also, welcome, Daisy! )
Brackenkit // in the clearing // with Fallowkit, mentions Mudrush and Rainstar Brackenkit's heart sank at Rainstar's and Mudrush's words. Of course Lightdrop would want to be alone with Dappleface, what was he thinking? I wish we got a moment alone with Mother before... He shook his head free of the memory, determined not to break down in front of the older warriors. Especially not when Fallowkit needed him. He nodded to Mudrush, then turned and led Fallowkit back to the nursery. Maybe being around those new kits would take Fallowkit's mind off of Dappleface.
Fallowkit // in the nursery // with Brackenkit, Frost, and kits Fallowkit saw Mudrush and Rainstar speak, yet didn't comprehend their words. All she could think of was poor Dappleface. Suddenly she felt herself being guided away from the medicine den. Fallowkit opened her muzzle, wanting to protest, wanting to stay near Dappleface, but no sound came out. Brackenkit gently pulled her inside the nursery, where Frost and her kits were settling. Fallowkit stumbled into her own nest, curling up next to Brackenkit, and watched the younger kits tumbling around their mother. They looked so innocent, so lively. Clueless to the panic and heartbreak outside the warm nursery. Fallowkit suddenly felt a strong urge to protect them from such pain, to help them enjoy being kits as long as they could. She caught the eye of one of them - Hail, was it? - and gave him a small smile.

Dappleface with Willowashine, Tornheart, Mudrush, & Lightdrop // in camp ★★☾★★
The older tortoiseshell molly blinked blearily at the familiar sound of Tornheart's cry, her heart racing in her chest. Not her poor sensitive boy! She couldn't stand to hear the devastation in his tone and be able to do nothing to soothe him. Her blurry gaze sought him out but Mudrush seemed to have intervened and a moment later the older tom's voice spoke up softly.
Dappleface tried to smile reassurringly, though her whole body was shaking like a leaf in the wind. Her stomach was beginning to roll and her legs felt like they would give out at any second. Saliva kept flooding her mouth, more than she could keep up with swallowing. To be frank, Dappleface felt miserable.
The sound of her daughter's voice reached her ears and a surge of relief rushed through her. Her baby. "L-Light..." she tried to say but ended up coughing on her own saliva, wincing a bit. She was lightheaded and out of it as her daughter and Willowshine led her into the medicine cat den and settled her down into the nest. Dappleface nearly collapsed into the soft moss, her green eyes searching out her daughter. "L...Light," she whispered, her voice cracking. Her little precious one, the true light of her life.
Sunmask with Lionfang, Skypaw, & Beepaw // at Four Trees ★★☾★★
Sunmask relaxed as Skypaw got settled onto their father's back. It must not be comfortable for the poor thing but at least it would get her to camp safely. "Let's get them home," she spoke softly, brushing her tail gently along first Lionfang's flank and then Beepaw's. Her family would make it through this, they had to.
Paws itching to return to camp and be with her herbs, the molly turned and began to lead the way out of Four Trees. Thankfully the training ground wasn't too far from their home, she was sure Skypaw would appreciate the briefness of the journey. Though the snake had gone, she somehow felt like the damage was done and there was still more grief to be felt. No, there must be more snakeroot at home and her niece would be fine. She needed to quit being so pessimistic.
Briarleap with Daycreek // on a walk ★★☾★★
The honey colored tabby chased after her mate with a laugh, shaking her head at his taunt. "Fine with me, I hope you like rotted squirrel," she teased, pouring on the speed and racing ahead of Daycreek while flashing him a playful smile. One that said 'catch me'. Being able to relax didn't come easily to the molly but she enjoyed every free moment she had, especially with her mate and brother. Both toms meant so much to her and she couldn't imagine her world without either of them in it.
The feel of the breeze in her fur was a relief as she ducked through the underbrush and dived under an upraised root. Briarleap didn't get her suffix for no reason, she was quite the agile young cat.

Hazelpaw -- // Female // -- //8 moons // -- // Apprentice // Her frame long and lithe, the she-cat stands tall and proper, her thin frame coated in a tabby mix of tan and ashy, brown. Her chin, chest, and underbelly, as well as her two front paws are an off-white cream color. Her eyes compliment her face in a pale green hue. | This feline is known for her soft voice and gentle nature. A natural hunter due to her thin build and quick-thinking, she excels greatly in high pressure environments. She is easygoing and very friendly, slow to anger and a bit soft spoken. Although a skilled hunter, she is known for being a bit clumsy as well as a bit oblivious. She often zones out, lost in thought and tends to stay to herself. | Hazelpaw was born and raised in CedarClan. Her parents are deceased due to the attack of a badger, but she finds herself spending her time alone anyway. She was an only kit, and has no remaining family. | {dαιѕy}
Graystorm -- // Male // -- // 38 moons // -- // Warrior // Graystorm is the definition of stocky; broad-shouldered and rather tall, the tom makes up for his lack of tail with his muscled figure. With a base color of stone gray, the tom’s paws are dipped in white. The entirety of his legs are a deeper shade of gray and his chin, chest, underbelly, and tail are a bright white. He has a splash of white that wraps around the middle of his spine, speckled with smaller patches of gray around it. His eyes are a deep shade of green, complimenting his stone-colored appearance. | Loyal to a fault is a great way to describe this tom. He will fight tooth and claw for his loved ones, no matter the circumstance. Incredibly motivated yet a bit naive, this tom often finds himself on the wrong side of the river. He picks fights (sometimes accidentally) due to his opinionated and loud nature. Although his brash side is balanced with a compassionate, caring side that only those closest to him see. | Born and raised to well-respected parents, this tom always felt the need to be at his best. Graystorm's father died in battle during his apprentice years, leading him to his obsession with being the best warrior he can be. He fears losing the ones he loves like he lost his father and eventually lost his mother due to her grief. He has bad blood with his brother, Sleetwhisker ever since their parents passed, and is often angered when his family is brought up for reasons unknown. With lack of familial support, Graystorm spent all of his time training to become a better warrior, earning him the support and recognition of his clanmates. | {dαιѕy}

Stonepaw's eyes widened when he'd heard that there was a snake attack and that Dappleface had been the one to get bitten. "Oh, wow, really?" His paws itched to go check everything out, instead he just moves over to the entrance of the apprentices den and sticks his head out. The gray tom sees Mudrush standing near the medicine cats den, along with Willowshine and then Tornheart leaving after Thorntail. Stonepaw frowns and withdraws from the den entrance, going back over to Halfpaw, sitting close beside the other. "That must've been hard to watch." Stonepaw commented.

((sorry for the wait! been doing some moving ^.^’’ still unpacking lol))
Tornheart || in camp with Willowshine and Thorntail
Tornheart let his eyes flutter shut, taking the warmth of Willowshine’s pelt pressed against his, the smell of her fur, the comfort of her voice. Some emotion swelled inside him, an abrupt need to stay by her side, to talk to her, to tell her more than he’d ever dared to do before. Something about the terror of nearly losing more than one cat gave him a new sense of urgency. But one that would have to wait as he let Willowshine pull away from his side, opening his eyes again. “Of course,” he whispered back, before falling back to follow at Thorntail’s heels.
He’d caught up right when Thorntail disappeared through the entrance, a little apologetic as he muttered a quiet “sorry,” though he wasn’t sure what he was apologizing for. His very existence, usually, he figured dryly as he pulled his leg along with him, trying to let the pain fade into the background. Though it wasn’t the familiar pain of twisted muscle that never healed properly; it was sharper new pain of freshly pulled muscle, which he really should get looked at lest he mess his leg up so bad he can’t fulfill his warrior duties anymore, but he couldn’t quite bring himself to care. Tornheart was too busy searching for Sunmask’s pale fur through the trees on the road to the Four Trees.
“There,” he said to Thorntail, finally catching sight of the solemn trio of cats. No, not quite three - Skypaw was draped over Lionfang’s back, he realized. “Sunmask!” he called as gently as he could, not wanting to startle any of them. “Are you alright? Do you need any help?”

Mudrush || in camp with Willowshine
Despite the heaviness in his heart, Mudrush mustered up a warm, if not a bit tired, smile at his daughter. “I don’t mind at all,” he said, gesturing with his tail to welcome Willowshine at his side. He studied her, his curiosity awoken when he witnessed the tender moment between her and Tornheart. There was something in the two cats’ eyes that he was very familiar with, and the way Willowshine’s gaze trailed after the tom only added to his suspicions. Ah, he thought, I wondered when that began to bloom? His distance, he realized, had made him miss more things than he thought.
He couldn’t help but check over her, not wanting to fuss but wanting to make sure. It took an awkward silence until he managed to say, “Are you hurt anywhere?”

( ANNOUNCEMENTso i just updated the front page! i organized the warriors by age finally, and going through the cats made me realize that i'd forgotten that, unfortunately, Nettle has decided to long be apart of the clan, and that's alright! that means we need to figure out what to do with Nettlefang and Amberwing. They are currently up for claiming for current members and if no one shows interest I might just take them off the front dαιѕy your characters have been added, i made Sleetwhisker claimable because you had mentioned him in Graystorm's history but if that's not something you wanted I can just take him off the front. also if you had an idea for Hazel parents' names as well as Gray and Sleet's parents name then let me know, if not i'll just come up with random names for them Lastly it's been a pretty slow week for the clan, and I think the forums in general so let's work hard to be a bit more active! I will also hold myself accountable to this c: Let's try and finish up this short of arch so we can move on and get the flood plot moving. So, here is what I was thinking: Once Sunmask and the crew get back to camp we could timeskip to Dappleface's vigil and honestly what I was thinking for that was I could post an announcement from Rainstar, similar to the Frost's announcement and everyone could do a short post with their characters for their reactions to grieve for Dappleface. Then, I figured we could do a longer timeskip of a few days after Dappleface's death and memorial. What are your guys' thoughts?
